Great little sub shop in the town of saranac definitely get their pickles and their garlic dill bread on whatever sandwich you get it's absolutely delicious if you love pasta salad there's is extremely delicious they even ask you if you want to add other toppings on it as well because it's a very simple salad granted it's so delicious and so flavorful I don't think you need to add anything to it other than maybe some onions.

The jalapeño bites are fantastic and the owner and staff are very friendly.

Got an Italian on Jalapeño Bread. Used to pass by here all the time and never stopped. The food is amazing. Have had the onion rings, fried cheese curds, and fries. The food is always on point. Quick service and friendly too! Definitely recommend!

Jreck subs is a great little regional chain. There aren't a lot of them, but I think they have a lot of quality. Great subs with a fresh taste and each month has a specialty bread.

The food is good, however, the service can be fairly slow, and the overall quality and portion sizes can be easily beat for a similar (if not smaller) price at other local restaurants. That said, you can expect a good meal for an acceptable price, I just feel that other local restaurants will give you "more bang for your buck."

Had the grilled chicken hot sub. Chicken tasted like precooked microwave chicken, though they did toss it on the grill. Pretty bland, even with Chipotle mayo, salt pepper and oregano added to it . although maybe if you load it up with enough of the sauces and spreads and relish it might taste decent. It wasn't horrible but I probably won't go back.

I apologized for interjecting, but asked if she could please cook the meat on a clean flat top, she tried to salvage her work until turning and asking if she should just cook it over again. I asked if she could, as the other employee, an older woman, mouthed “I’m sorry” to me. At this point the first employee placed more food onto the same spot of the flat top, which while it finally didn’t have pieces of bunted food scraps on them, was still nowhere near a clean surface. Why she couldn’t use the other 75% of the flat top is beyond me, but at this point I apologized to the second staff member and we left. While I understand people get busy, the store front was empty except 2 tables currently with their food.

He literally complained while the people on my order where asking for what they wanted, saying “well you should have told me you wanted two of the same sub at the beginning.” and complaining that someone talked to him while he was facing the grill, saying “It’s really annoying when people talk to me when my backs turned.” All while he was complaining about the customers, he never changed his gloves between handling the raw steak and veggies and cash register... Then a local person came in behind us and all of a sudden he was chipper and polite. So I guess if you look different or give the impression of being a “tourist” don’t expect to be treated like a guest no matter how polite you may be. An added note...turns out he is the owner! Wouldn’t suggest this place for anyone passing through due to the hygiene while handling food and the owners not so welcoming attitude to tourists.
