My favorite brewery on the Schenectady Ale Trail (where you buy a $40 pass that gets you a flight at five breweries). Obsessed with the Oktoberfest and the cherry wheat, and all the sours we tried were fantastic. Also got a hot honey and soppressata pizza (7/10), garlic knots (9/10) and wings (6/10) from Annabel's. Convenient to have the pick up window right in the bar!

The tasting room is open. It's a good size and cheery bright space. Had the hefeweizen and cherry wheat. Both were great. Friendly staff. Update, they moved into thier permanent location which is a very cool industrial style space, wide open with outdoor seating and view over the brewing operation. It looks like they aren't quite done, perhaps some other vendors will open shop within the space also. They host local live music pretty frequently it seems.

As someone who was born and raised in the Schenectady community, this is exactly what the city and surrounding area has been missing. I’m a huge fan of microbrews and breweries alike, and I enjoy traveling around to find them; though I can’t quite express how great it is to have one right here in my hometown. (An excellent one at that) The beers are fantastic, some of the best I’ve had; and the master brewers and entire staff are friendly and down to earth- which for me goes a long way. It’s the reason I’ve been spending more time there and why for me, it’s quickly become THE go to place to unwind, hang out, and have a drink.

I had my rehearsal dinner for my wedding here. The food was amazing (people are still talking about the big pretzels!) and the staff was very accommodating. Can't recommend them enough!

Awesome ambience. Good music. Plenty of seating. Large dancefloor. Good selection of beer and other drinks. Nice bar with more than one bartender which makes a big difference. Good food selection also. I had what was titled as Pizzazilla? Quesadillas which was not a quesadilla at all which I was kind of disappointed that it wasn't however it was really like a large pizza dough flipped over. It had roasted red peppers and chicken and mozzarella cheese and spinach inside which was very good and the pizza dough was very good too and it comes with a little side of marinara sauce which was also very tasty. My companion had a hamburger and tasteless potato chips. The hamburger was very good but the potato chips were lacking salt and flavor. I would not recommend them at all. However the menu selection that they had was ample so there was something for everybody. We intend on returning to listen to some music again sometime and check it out in the warm weather months as well.

Great atmosphere and OPTIONS! I mean way more than the great pizza place they have in there as, you can sit outside, inside, at the bar, at the 2 different outside bars, near the entertainment of the night or far away even. Just the in general what I call "escapability" as you have areas to move around to. Love this place and would recommend a swing in of your own to try it on. :) 🐸

Great beers in a lovely location served by excellent staff. The beers we had were tasty and well balanced. There are a number of styles available. There's a pizza place that you can get food at separately but we weren't hungry so we can't say anything about it except it looked pretty good.

I had a surprise birthday party over the weekend there. I rented out their landing space and ordered food off their catering menu. It was the perfect venue! The food was absolutely delicious and everyone had the best time! Abby was so easy to work with and their staff was amazing during the party! 10 out of 10 recommended!

Stopped by with a large group in the afternoon and they seated us right by the bar. The bartenders were very knowledgeable about their beer selection and made an excellent suggestion that I thoroughly enjoyed. I would definitely go back when I'm in town again.

Frog Alley is one of my favorite spots to go to!! The bartenders and the service is always great. The drink selection is also incredible, they have it all. There’s something for everyone, no matter your taste. One of my favorite parts along with great service and drinks, is they have live bands. The music adds so much to the experience, making it the perfect spot to be at after a long day or to catch up with friends. The combination of quick service, a wide variety of drinks, and fantastic live music means that Frog Alley has the trifecta. If you’re looking for a place that has all of these things, this is it!!

Hosted an event here & I cannot recommend enough! The staff, the space, the flexibility. 10/10! Frog always has the most fun, unique experiences in the 518, including hosting a Mocktail Mommy event!

Awesome place!!! Live band was amazing, not too loud either. Bartenders were fast and efficient for the size crowd that was there. Ordered meat lovers pizza and garlic parm wings. Pizza was delish my only complaint would be the wings didn’t have a ton of flavor. I am definitely going back again.

Modern environment with great beer and staff. Add music and how could you go wrong. Also the food is far superior to the usual brewpub grub.

This is our second time here. The first time had a terrible experience with service. The beverages and food are what brought us back. This time around we had 2 of the most awesome bartenders, Rachel & Abby. They were great to chat with and were on top of it! We will be back again. Oh... if these 2 money frogs I made are gone the next time we come we will change our review to a 1 star.

This brewery is a good edition for downtown Schenectady, attracting businesses on lower State Street. It is now located in a former apartment building These old photos show what that former apartment building (1.10 mill lane; 2. Stockade View Apartments and finally 3. Green Oaks apartments) have looked like just before it was gutted that will soon become a brewery where beer will be made and produced. I have been here before and always liked it but tonight was really great. My band played there and we had a blast. The crowd was big, the atmosphere great and to top it off Josh the bartender was one of the nicest and coolest guys I have ever dealt with. He made the night much greater. We also met a light person Beth Donnelly, incredible and kind. Highly recommend her for events. We really look forward to coming back. Bravo.

My daughter and I went to Frog Alley on a Tuesday night for the line dancing. I was immediately impressed with the large outdoor seating area and spacious interior that included a big dance area. Unfamiliar with their brews, I asked the bartender, Sawyer, for help selecting. She made a few suggestions and provided samples. Since I’m an older woman and very short, I usually get ignored when I step up to a bar, but she came over right away and was super friendly so I felt very comfortable going back to her for a refill. We enjoyed the dance lessons followed by open dancing until 10pm. It was terrific to see the dance floor packed with people of all ages and abilities on a weeknight. The music was lively and diverse. Needless to say, we had a lot of fun and will definitely be back.

Frog Alley Brewery was hands-down the perfect venue for our wedding (6/14). It’s trendy, industrial, and has so much character—which made it a stunning backdrop for our wedding decor. But what really set it apart was the incredible staff, especially Abbey, our coordinator. She was responsive, accommodating, and truly cared about making our day everything we dreamed of. Anytime we wanted to meet or needed clarification, she was there. Abbey and Charley worked with us to create a custom signature cocktail (a spicy hot honey blackberry margarita!) and ensured the bar service was top-tier. The flow of the event, the vendor coordination, the layout—it all came together flawlessly. We had zero stress and felt completely taken care of. I can’t recommend them enough if you’re looking for a venue with personality and a team that actually shows up for you💖

Big little brewery in the city of Schenectady with plenty of space to accommodate large crowds that gather for music events etc. Complete with a pizza shop in house, Annabels. Beer is sold locally at grocery stores and brewery has several available flagship beers as well as seasonal selections.

A great venue for private parties, getting together with friends or for the outdoor concerts. There is wood fired pizzas and other foods on their menu, though we had a catered private event. Knowledgeable, friendly staff and fantastic beers on tap. I hope they start distributing further west than Syracuse! Will stop by when in the area again, for sure.

The beer is was great! The service was great, and my friend was able to bring her toy poodle and we sat outside. The sun went away so it got a little chilly after a bit, but we still had a great time. We got there around 3 so we didn’t eat but the menu looked really delicious and I would happily return.

Came here after meeting a rep at another bar. Glad I did! This place is huuuuge on the inside and really well done from a design point. If interior design isn't your thing well, the beer is fantastic too. Had the "Cherry Hweat" and "Group Therapy Session" and both were good, especially the cherry wheat (one of the best wheat beers I can recall). Will definitely be coming back here.

Great space, live music, fun time! Great vegan pizza, horrible "roasted veggies" - dry, bland bowl of chick peas, with a few leafs of spinach and a little bit of coconut milk. No one in our party found them pleasant. We had 4 types of pizza and potato nachos, the "veggies" were the only disappointment.

Decent beer selection, and it was really good. However, if it’s a live music night, don’t go that night unless you want to listen to a mediocre cover band that should have stuck to karaoke.

Nice large outdoor patio which was nice because my daughter was able to run around on the patio. Parking is street only and usually in Schenectady it’s paid street parking through the passport App. There’s also food available. There is a family bathroom but the changing table is broken.

Second time here, very enjoyable. Went to a outdoor music event food trucks, drinks friendly crowd great night out.

Beer is great. Servers are friendly, just get to know them. Location? Well…it’s Schenectady but they do a great job considering.

Had a fun time checking out a killer Doors tribute band here. (Yes, the acoustics are loud here.) Beer was solid: Enjoyed a tasty Watermelon Sour brew. Food from next door wasn't too shabby either. Layout of seating near the bar isn't the best, but tables closer to the stage are great if you get there on the earlier side and are able to snag one in time. Overall this is a nice little hidden gem of Schenectady. I'd probably return sometime in the future to check out another band. And would arrive on the earlier side. Worth the visit.

The outdoor patio and live music were great. Dark beers: The porter and Charlie Brown (?) were good. I saw one of the bartenders eating something amazing and she gave me the details. I ordered it at the window that used to serve brick oven pizza, and it was an off menu item. Not sure if they’ll do it every day but definitely order the buffalo chicken fries. Comes topped with fresh, diced jalapeños, tomatoes, and shredded lettuce, and a generous amount of blue cheese or ranch and buffalo sauce. And don’t let the size fool you, that’s a whole entire meal.

Friday afternoon found me in Schenectady and I finally made it to this place. My first impression was how huge it is, encompassing almost an entire block. (Due largely to the event space and outdoor seating they have) but this was in the middle of winter. Inside was also pretty spacious with a large bar area and tables. Sat at the bar and ordered a flight. The beers I tried were delicious. They have a separate window to order food, which I didn’t that day but I’ll try it some other time. I hope to be back to sample more. The only thing I could possibly find a tad off was the friendliness of the staff. Don’t get me wrong, they were attentive and knowledgeable about the beer but their attitude and demeanor was a bit off-putting. Maybe caught them on a bad day. Anyway, I will go back just for the beer alone.

Massive. That was our first thought walking into this Schenectady brewery. The large, warehouse styled brewery is situated underneath a slew of fancy looking apartments; which is an awesome vibe. The massive space has ample seating (and standing) for large groups such as corporate happy hours; if you're place of business is that cool. The beer selection is expansive, with styles hitting every personal preference you may be looking for. We we're perfectly content with their array of lagers and IPA's on draft. Our favorite beer of the night was the Skull Frog DIPA. The solid DIPA showcased a hefty amount of Chinook, with a distinct pine/resin flavor. If you're a fan of the "west coast" style IPA's, you will really enjoy Skull Frog. Although we didn't try it, there is a pizza restaurant (Annabel's Pizza Co.) attached to the brewery, with a little ordering window inside the brewery! It's such a nifty feature, and a great addition to this brewery in our opinion.

I would have to say this is one of best brewing places I have been to around here. The service was great. Very polite and fast service. When I was here there was a band playing by the name of Tommy V the place was full. Went to the bar had a drink in my hand with in a few minutes. Very nice spaced out area for the people to enjoy your drink plus food. I had 1905 beer which was a new beer they came out with. Was very good plus I also ordered pretzels for a snack. Nothing like a fresh hot pretzel and cheese from the oven. The restroom was clean too which is always a plus in my book. Seemed like the staff here enjoy the job everyone of them had a smile on face which is great to see. The only thing that was short on was tables to sit at inside but this was probably due to the band that was playing this night when I stopped in. Will definitely be returning here to have some more beer and food. They had many items on tap which was nice to see as well. Also seen people eating pizza which is made here too which looked amazing.

They have some good music and entertainment. They only serve their own brews so you can't get domestic bottled beer and no common bar liquors. Parking is difficult, mostly on the street.

Loud. Really loud. Really really loud. Everyone there seemed to like the place a lot. And that's good! Friendly staff, friendly patrons. Good pub food from Annabel's. Just bloody noisy. I just don't think it's for me. At all. Ear plugs are essential.

Good drinks, a lot of local brews. Okay service, kind of a pain ordering drinks as you had to get the bartenders attention every time because they were socializing. Not a big deal but it was so loud that it was a task for sure. Had a company social gathering with food. Food was okay, nothing to excited about. Pizza and chicken were 3/5. Meat and cheese were about the same, 3/5. They started line dancing upstairs and it got even louder. Had to go outside to communicate at all.

Every time me or someone in my party went to the bar the prices changed. Sometimes it was $1.00 more, sometimes it was $3.00 more for the same exact drinks. No set prices or are the bartenders picking the $? When I said something about the price being higher she just ignored me & walked away. Nice place to see a show but terrible customer service at the bar.

Drinks are extremely questionable. That is my only issue with this bar. There is not much to offer that is actually good. Every time I come here I have to get seltzers cause everything else doesn’t taste good. The atmosphere is pleasant, and they always have good music playing with a good crowd of people. You’ll have a good night coming here but like I said the drinks are questionable 3/5.

Good Sours but not going to pay a cover to get in and I paid less for their beer at another bar. Shouldn’t it be less expensive at the source? Think it’s more corporate business than community brewery. Checked off my passport and moved on. To be clear: Staff friendly, good pizza just not my vibe for brewery.

Great show last night! We had never been to the venue and had a great time. That was only after we apparently bought only the VIP enhanced ticket, that wasn’t a ticket at all just access into the VIP tent? it was confusing and acknowledged by the girl who finally let us in after realizing how misleading it was (we were not the only ones). what i could have done with out is the incredibly rude blonde woman that was taking tickets who yelled at us in front of many people waiting in line just for simply trying to understand what happened? we are paying customers, where is the customer service? you don't get to bark at people just because your system mislead many people. you can be kind and calm and act like an adult.

The atmosphere is decent. The drinks are moderately priced. I had a trucking truffle melt grilled cheese and I thought the sandwich tasted okay. It feels like drunk people food made to offer more in texture than flavor. My thoughts were confirmed when I had the fries. They were extremely salty and hard to enjoy perhaps I hadn't had enough to drink to get the proper experience? This was on September 13th coyote ugly night. The chef was nice though

Place was cool. Drinks were a little weak. I asked if the drinks wouldn’t be as good due to it being a brewery. Ended up with some very weak drinks. Still tipped 100% between the two bartenders to leave with sub par service and a bad taste in my mouth. Wouldn’t treat them like that if they came to my place of work. Husband and I have been numerous times and service was always good. Last trip not so much. We came at about 4:30pm on a Saturday. It was not busy. However, the two bartenders blatantly ignored us. They both made eye contact without so much as a greeting. We even moved around the bar to be more convenient. We're not really in the habit of demanding service, so we left. Alot of frustration for unremarkable beer.

This particular night, either the band was bad or the sound setting was bad?!? It seems it is the sound settings! When I brought it up to the waiter, the waiter got mad and got rude with me !

It's a good concept, but the liquor drinks and hard seltzer are very good quality. I got a shot of tequila and it tasted watered down, the hard seltzer was flat and didn't have any taste and the lime was bad. They could pay more attention to the quality of their items. Also, they staff will come through and take the drinks off the table if you walk away to dance or go to the bathroom whether you're done or not.

All was great with our first and only bartender. Then his shift was over. After he left we had absolutely no service whatsoever. The 2 girls didn't come over once in the hour after he left. We weren't outside or at a faraway table...we were right at the bar with empty glasses. I had one mango beer, that was awesome. That's the only reason (oh, and our only bartender who was great} why I left 2 stars. The rest was horrible. Oh, and it took 55 minutes for a personal pizza to get made.

This looks like it could be a cool place to eat and hang out. They have a nice deck and large open air seating area in an urban environment. The service was slow. When the waitress came she said they have no menus. You have to download the App. This was a hassle. It took the fun out of the experience so we left. I think it is ridiculous they don't have menus to give out. It might be good for the hipster who knows how to manage it.

Wasnt busy for Thursday night but not the best place ive ever been. Food is really over priced but isnt horrible. The nachos wernt good and the cashier was nice enough to take them off our bill since no one in our party liked them. Kitchen staff was great, bartenders paid no attention to anyone trying to get drinks. Stood at the bar for a good 8 minutes to get a beer, getting side eyed from two of the bartenders who couldnt stop talking to each other. Gave up when i raised my hand and the girl i made eye contact with turned her back to me and sat down to talk again.

My mom is 84 years old... she was carded. Her sister 85... and was carded. The person at the door was super rude, unkind and talked down to us when we were just curious why they needed to be carded. Also, the same person ignored us further and was somewhat aggressive. Really unfortunate since I was just trying to enjoy a night out with my mom and aunt. Bad vibes! Won't go back.

I went to my first show there last night. The show was great, the venue is cool but the bathroom situation was completely unacceptable. 5 porta-potties for well over 500 people!?? That is disgusting and disrespectful (if not criminal at $55 a person). Maybe they were hoping that people would pay the extra $30 to use the indoor bathrooms but it actually just made me never want to go there again.

Probably the worst beer you can get at a local brewery in the area. On top of that, the staff are generally rude and devoid of any personality. The only things going for them are the large space that can accommodate overpriced concerts, and they have a great marketing team. Skip the food too.

Great venue, but wow. Terrible staff. Slow, slow, and slow. Tried to get a tv tuned to a Yankee game and you’d think they didn’t know how to work a tv.

I got married at Frog Alley a little over a year ago. I would not recommend them to anyone. For context we signed a contract for our wedding 1 year before the event: 1. In our contract we requested the roof top for our ceremony. 2 weeks before the event Frog Alley told us they had sold the apartment building next door 6 months earlier and we would need to "apply" to have the ceremony on the roof (since they no longer owned it), AND it would be an extra $1200. Obviously 2 weeks before an event is not the time to hit a couple with something so expensive that we had not budgeted for, but also, the building was sold months earlier, why had this not been addressed earlier? 2. 8 months before our event Frog Alley decided that they wanted to host their BBQ competition the same weekend as our wedding. The event would be in the parking lot next to the building, with bands and BBQ vendors feet away from our wedding. My husband and I had to start looking for other venues, and in a last ditch effort to save the event, asked if Frog Alley could move the BBQ event to a different weekend, which they did. Again, the lack of consideration and planning is unbelievable. We had other issues but these two were the biggest by far. I would not recommend Frog Alley for your wedding unless you like an emotional roller coaster ride.

I had tickets to see Air Supply on Saturday, July 17th and there was a severe thunderstorm warning for schenectady tried calling to see if the concert was still on or they were going to cancel it because of the weather. Tried calling 3 different people and no answer could not leave a voice message because their mailbox was full. Even though they say they are there on a Saturday from 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight. Also sent an email nobody has gotten in touch with me yet and it is now Sunday afternoon. I will never go to any event happening here in the future. Absolutely no communication at all.

Went at 4pm to have a drink and check out the place. We were told $10 cover charge each. It was dead and no music. We left...not a welcoming atmosphere from what I saw. I guess they must be strictly a concert venue. Good luck to the people who live in the lofts above!

Beer was great as always but bartender was rude and unprofessional. After ordering our last round i forgot to add a couple 4 packs to my order. I tried to get the bartenders attention to add them seeing as it would be easier than her ringing me out twice. She then snapped at me that she was busy so I said ok and went on just hanging out. She then comes to the outside bar, yells at the group next to us who was trying to tell her there was tip money on the ground. Then comes up to me and tries to yell at me that I was being disrespectful trying to get her to add more to my order. Not once was I ever remotely disrespectful I was trying to help her out and make her job easier. If you have that kind of customer service you probably shouldn’t work in the bar industry.

Bar tender came over and yelled at us and made a scene in front of everyone for no reason all because we wanted drinks and wasn't getting service. No need for that at all. Then said she was going to stop serving us. Could have been way more professional about it. We just wanted drinks and spend more money. We were having a good time minding our own business when she came over and made a scene. Then after that service stopped on the outside bar area. This is poor practice and really bad service for a group of people that spent alot of money on drinks and was being polite the entire time.

Went to see midget wrestling…but could not see a thing. Bought a ticket, got there an hour and a half before the show to get a seat. When the show started people were crowding all around, standing on chairs- security did not care. People started coming through the back door, and tickets were not checked. Total waste of time and money. Do not recommend this venue.

Went to to hear a band play, Bus boys were clearing drinks away before they were done. Which resulted in more sales. And charges ended up on my friends charge card that were not hers! For instance, 19 shots of tequila! The place is scamming people

Used to love this place. Decent beer in a good atmosphere with good food options. But since COVID restrictions were lifted we've only gotten decent service once. The bartenders seem more concerned with gossiping with one another than even acknowledging that new customers walked in.

Never again will I go to a concert there. There was not not enough security staff to keep up, nor did they care when I requested my VIP seat. I asked them to remove people that obviously did not belong there (no wrist band on), as I could not get a seat! It was clear it was a "free for all". Security told us the VIP section was over sold and they were not getting in the middle of it. The VIP tickets were a SCAM as people could just walk up and sit any where or stand in front of you. It was not worth paying extra for VIP seating as there wasn't any! I will be requesting a refund because I was general admission!

As a brewery, their beers are mostly fine. (Although The Little Curious Beer tasted like something went wrong in the fermentation process and they are trying to pass it off as an "experimental beer.") However as the concert venue this place is trying to be, they leave much to be desired. They are very disorganized and disseminated lots of misinformation regarding show times and ticket prices (the cover price was twice as much as advertised). Three bands in three different locations at three different times in one night? A little ambitious if you ask me and they lacked the skill to pull it off successfully. The bands were awesome and the music was great, but the disorganization on the venue's part made it not such a great live music experience.

Person at door was persistent that my ID was fake, would not let me proceed. ID is valid, offered to add more proof lady told me “nope, see ya later” Poor ownership at the front door. Ridiculous actions.

The area was far too small for the amount of tickets sold for last nights outdoor concert. Management did not have the health and safety of their Customers in mind. There was not nearly enough security staff to keep up, not to mention the covid aspect. The VIP tickets were a scam and even though the bands were good, it was not at all worth the time and money. Find another venue to support the bands, people deserve refunds for last night.

I just bye this why would you put the sauce in the box with the chicken the sauce is all massy on everything I told them I want half mild and half BBQ where is the mild tho everything is BBQ

My Husband and I wanted to watch the bills game and they only had TVs around the bars and no where else in that large room. The way some of the tables are set up too close to the bar and if you are sitting at the bar your back is basically up against the large tables. If your sitting at the smaller round pubs style tables you are far to away and can't see the TV well. The ladies room had one working stall and the handicap one that I needed had a broken lock. The one paper towel dispenser did not work and one hand dryer. We had one beer and it was okay. The food prices are expensive and limited menu and you have to self serve and they text you when your order is ready Not a fan of this for so many reasons! I see this growing trend in restaurants and brew pubs and its discouraging. I know in these times we live in it is hard to find help and maybe I am old fashioned but when you work hard all week and don't feel like cooking or go to one of the shows around there. I just want to sit and relax and enjoy being waited on.

Absolutely horrible place. I live across the street from them and these people have events every damn day and don't have the courtesy that other people live in the neighborhood. They blast music so loud every evening till night thats it’s almost impossible to sleep or relax in my apartment. I don’t understand how this is allowed, are there no noise restrictions here? I hope the management reads this and takes some action cause this is really irritating everyday. I cant even imagine how the residents of this building can tolerate the noise.

Loved the place and everything about it except we ordered food before we left to take home with us. I got a pastrami melt and my girl got a salad. Salad was good but for whatever reason On half of my sandwich I got maybe 3 slices of pastrami and then on the other half 1. Like really? I paid good money for this food and this was just unacceptable. Do better.

How disappointing to discover that this establishment does not offer low table seating. As a person with mobility issues, I cannot sit at a bar stool or high top. We were there on an early Sunday afternoon and it was very empty. My husband asked if there were any low table and the young bar maid brought out a teeny tiny table and 2 folding chairs, which were placed in a back area. The message was that we were the outcast relatives at a wedding. Certainly made us feel unwelcome. Don't understand why such a large place doesn't have seating options, is this even ADA acceptable?? Needlesss to say, I did not utilize the children's table and stood while.my husband drank his flight. Will never return.

I showed up to a country show after work, paid the door cover charge, walked in and was enjoying the music, while in line at the bar to get a drink. At this time I was approached by the lady who was working the door, who handed me my money back and told me I had to leave with no explanation. About a week later some dude claiming to be the owner told me I am unwelcome there again with no explanation, I didn't show up drunk, I have never been in a fight at frog alley and have no idea what seems to be their problem... but there's always elsewhere to spend your money.

I was greated by a rude blue-haired lady without a hello but rather, its 15 dollars to just sit at the bar. Wont be going there again to spend my my money. What a fluke

Low-quality beer, rude staff, overpriced. Stay away and try out the many better breweries in the area!
