Avis sur The Broadway Restaurant Schenectady
I’ve been coming here for about 12 years the onion rings I really great. I feel like they have the best hotdog in the 518 meat sauce is really good. The breakfast is always good and the service and people that work. There are all nice and respectful.
For the price, this place is hard to beat. The food is fresh, delicious, and always hits the spot. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to.
Excellent roast beef triple decker with crisp bacon, hot french fries, Excellent coleslaw. crispy pickle. Great, fast service
Came in for the first time with my mother.. food and service was excellent highly recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for a quality night out to get some food in the Schenectady area
Great neighborhood diner. We'll worth the visit. Highly recommended.
Stopped in first time with a friend for lunch. Food was great. Had a BLT. Friend had a burger. Just what you expect.
Perfect diner atmosphere. Friendly staff, delicious food, very reasonable pricing. Highly recommend the reuben!
My wife and I and our two grandchildren stopped in for an early dinner. Our food was served up quickly was hot and delicious. We will definitely be back.
Fantastic local place. Very friendly service, extremely fair pricing, good portions and good quality. What more do you want? Stopped in for breakfast and had the cajun omelette, I always like to try new things offered at local places. Had good flavor and was very tasty. This place is like going back in time to the 1970’s where it’s a plane jane restaurant built on simple values of quality, value, and service. From the outside it is very unassuming and probably easy to drive by and miss. But it is a ‘hidden gem’ I can tell that all the locals probably have been going to for years. Thank you will certainly be back!
Small town, old fashioned diner. Quick service. Good food. We had the breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg and cheese on hand roll), 2 eggs with bacon and hash browns. All tasty. Thrilled with fast service. Portions were decent. Food was tasty.
One of my favorite diners in the NY Capital Region. Their Greek Chicken Wrap with kalamata olives added is fantastic! They're also one of the only diners in the area that even has the option of adding kalamata olives, which is insane to me considering how much Greek flavor they add to the wrap. Their French fries are also very well executed for a place that doesn't have fresh made fries, so kudos to them for that. The wait staff is also very friendly and attentive, even when they're busy. To this date, I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here, no matter what we've ordered.
Me and my wife had brunch there today n it was a great experience! Very comfortable atmosphere, and the food was great, except for the home fries.
In-person, outstanding. Hot dogs are just as good as they claim, lived all over NY including Brooklyn for 15+ years, best diner I've been to food-wise. The big, one-time "but." I ordered from them, a little breakfast treat for my birthday. They forgot bacon. It happens, not sweating it too bad I live nearby. They told me they'd start cooking it and asked me to come pick it up (paid $8 delivery fee that wasn't compensated plus tip to the driver). When I got there, mind you I live nearby, the bacon was cold. They didn't cook it up fresh, they forgot. The real "but" that I can't give that 5th star for is that I felt lied to. I wasn't mad, just disappointed. I'll still go here, I recommend anyone do the same. People are great, food's even better. Just don't order delivery, order pick up and check your order if you're not going to get a table.
The hot dogs with meat, onions, and mustard are almost a landmark in Schenectady. My wife remembers eating them as a small child. The clam fry and burgers and fries were good. The service was fast and everything was hot when it was delivered. The onion rings were disappointing, most were broke and stringy, there were only a few that were whole. Good portions for the price. This is a neighborhood favorite obviously as the servers and customers often knew one another and talked.
Meh… -Onion rings, overcooked. Zero salt. Super thin & mostly breading. -Hotdogs- skinless lukewarm, canned baked beans microwaved, no seasoning, bland coleslaw (I added black pepper in pic), lacked acidity, no celery salt, . Meat sauce, no beef flavor, very dry. Think Stewart’s gas station at the end of the day. -Service, No napkins, dirty dishes next to me on the counter the entire time, staff more interested in chatting and hanging out with each other.
It saddens me to think this beloved staple of schenectady had surcum to the modern day culture of who cares. There’s human error and then there’s a train wreck. Tonight a train wreck. First time getting food from there in 18 months and It wasn’t very good. The order highly incorrect . Shorted items , wrong soup both size and kind. The photos a large soup, supposed to have been Manhattan Clam Chowder. It’s gravy.
Waitress was rude. French fries were like mush. Hotdogs and sauce were horrible tasting. The young man that checked us out was the friendliest on the bunch. This place has gone down hill
If I could give this place 0 stars I definitely would. We've ordered takeout through them twice and both times were awful. The first time I ordered the French dip and the sandwich was flavorless, soggy, and overall lacking in taste and quality. Even worse they didn't even pack it with any au jus sauce for me to use for it which is the point of a French dip! The second order was today and they screwed this one up just as badly. I ordered the turkey club and we specifically told them NO lettuce or tomato! But what do I discover when I open it up at home? It has BOTH. I tried initially to remove the unwanted lettuce and tomato, but with the way they constructed the sandwiches it became a frustrating mess and I ended up just giving up and throwing it all away. Waste of money and again another dinner ruined with this place and I'm done. Definitely the last time we're ordering from here. I 100% don't recommend this place to anyone. The food is awful, overpriced for what you get (if you even get it properly) and their cooks and their employees can't get the orders correct. You're better off going to Wendy's - which is what we are doing right now as I'm typing this review. At least there they get my order right every time and the food quality is worth it.
