The Mick was quite the experience. Shortly after my graduation ceremony, we had a reservation for 8. We were sat on the outside patio, and it was very lovely. The service was on immaculate, whether it was timely or just perfect. The food was delicious, with everything coming out warm and with immense flavor. They also gave us complementary champagne to celebrate, and came to check on us numerous times! Will definitely be back!
The Mick Brasserie completely impressed us — every dish we ordered was thoughtful, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. You can tell this kitchen truly cares about quality and balance. The Duck Fat Roasted Potatoes were perfection — crispy on the outside, tender inside, with the truffle aioli, onion jam, and crispy shallots taking them to another level. The Glazed Pork Ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender with an incredible sweet-and-sour Calabrian chili glaze, perfectly complemented by the chicory slaw. We also tried the Devesa Farms Beef Tartare, which was incredibly fresh and well-seasoned — elegant, clean flavors with the perfect accompaniments. The Whipped Ricotta was silky, rich, and addictive, especially paired with the house focaccia and truffle honey. And the Curried Cauliflower Steak was a standout — bold, layered flavors that even non-vegetarians would rave about. Everything felt elevated yet approachable, from the food to the ambiance. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and the overall experience felt refined and memorable. The Mick Brasserie is a must-visit — ideal for a special night out or simply enjoying outstanding food done right. We’ll absolutely be back.
I can’t say enough about The Mick. The perfect date night restaurant. My wife and I had an unbelievable meal, with the topper being the pate melt. So rich and delicious. But even better was the service. We had a short wait when we arrived (didn’t make reservations). The owner greeted us, then came back with glasses of wine for us while we wait! Unreasonable Hospitality at its finest. Our table servers and staff were great, too, and made it a special night. Go visit, support this restaurant. Need more gems like this in Scottsdale.
We eat at The Mick several times a year and I typically leave my review on Open Table, but think I should leave one on Google. We have many great restaurants around the Valley, but this is one of my favorite! The food is always amazing (two people can share each dish), the staff very helpful and friendly. They are great at wine pairings! The Mick has one of the best by the glass menu's in the Valley in case you don't want a bottle. Make a reservation, it can be busy!! Always order the Whipped Ricotta & Crab Stack!
The food was incredible. The best version of all these dishes I’ve ever had. The service was personable, unpretentious, and fun. I’ve never rushed to leave a review for a restaurant until after this meal. I am simply blown away.
Great neighborhood spot, everything on the menu is tasty and the service staff is friendly. Beautiful decor, great vibe. Perfect place to make your own”regular” spot.
Lovely evening outside with quality and well proportioned dishes. Good wine list and service. ribs a highlight. Warm and friendly staff.
Really great place...great ambience, staff, wine selection, happy hour selection, very cool decor. Our enthusiastic waiter gave us some wine samples of which we chose a delish South African Rose. Tapas are the Mick specialties. We had the lemon ricotta and fresh veggies, the lamb & beef meatballs and the flatbread - all highly recommended by our waiter. Perfectly delicious and flavorful. Best part of the meal was that my son joined us and picked up the tab! Will definitely recommend and be back.
Went here to celebrate my wife's birthday, I just have to say the food was amazing! Congratulations on having a wonderful restaurant. We were seated outside, and I would recommend it to everyone. Our server was an amazing guy, he explained the In and outs of the menu to us. We will be coming back!
We went for a quick happy hour with some friends and left very happy four hours later. The menu of shareable small bites is exquisite and the Sommelier is excellent. As you would expect he knows his pairings, but he was a teacher and highly personable as well. What a great time! I will be back. I recommend trying this place, take your time, take your appetite and experiment.
Great tapas bar with excellent wine selection. The steak tartare is a must try. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great atmosphere
Went to Taste of Italy dinner with wine pairings. Absolutely stunning. Wonderfully prepared food with freshest ingredients. Thoughtful wine pairings with explanation of each wine history. Service was very well done and not cloying. The highlight was the risotto. Prepared table side in a cut out wheel of Parmigiano it was sublime!! I truly excellent experience..
Best weather for outdoor dining-- fresh air & some Champagne ... a great what to celebrate Valentine Day... or any other day for us ! Services is top notch as always, but today we were so lucky to get the chance to meet and greet & some laughter with Jeff (som), Stefan (coolest guy), and Janet (#fabulous)... the original crew we started with @Mick a few years back -- life is as good & still is good with these guys when we are here ! Kudos ... Menu for this time is incredible -- we got the wine (Puy Blanquet St. Emilion Grans Cru) & steak (Chateau Briand) & a few other tasting here the there ... the Bistro flatbread was definitely worth-noticed & our new favorite was Onion Tart (as appetizers). Among the wine tasting, we enjoyed the Viogner (Terroir du Vent) that Jeff introduced, we picked up a bottle to-go to try out at home again. We really enjoy this place -- and continue to enjoy & support & being our friends to Mick's.
I've rarely felt as welcome in a restaurant as this one. From the moment we walked into the door we knew something was different. The hostess chatted with us as they were preparing our table. Numerous staff came by to make sure we were being taken care of. But that's not all! The food is amazing! Really top notch. I had the pork tenderloin and it was like I was in a high end gourmet restaurant. The octopus was out of this world. We'll be back for sure!
Have been many times & always inviting & fun atmosphere ‼️ insane menu options. If you want a burger, chicken fingers or boring pasta? Please don’t visit. This is for discerning palates wanting yummy delicious & well presented food
Valentine's Day brunch could not have been any better. The Brioche bread pudding French toast was decadent. Truly a amazing sweet dish. The Pork belly eggs benedict was delicious as well with a perfectly balanced hollandaise that was velvety and smooth.
I am a foodie and this place was outstanding in every way. It truly was the most delicious meal in a friendly, fun and hip setting. I had the sablefish. Tuesday night live music with steel drum. Highly recommend the meatballs!
This place was phenomenal from start to finish!!! Huge selection of beer and wine! You can also purchase any of your own there. Ordered a few appetizers and got the lamp chops for my entree. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. definitely coming back and highly recommend
We LOVEd coming here. The service was amazing as they do a pooled serving style so people are always checking in on you. The food was incredible. We tried a bunch of the dishes. Try the corn flat bread, the beef tartare and we loved the berry and cream dessert. We also had the best dry rose
My experience at the Mick exceeded all expectations. Seriously, in every category I was blown away. Let’s start with the warm welcome and personal touch my fiancé and I were given. We were greeted by the hostess and sat at the bar promptly. Soon after, Janet — the events director/manager — welcomed us with a friendly vibe, warm smile and two menus to get right down to business (if business meaning talking about how fun the atmosphere is and how tasty the French influenced menu is). This establishment doesn’t have a full bar but their love for beer and wine was quite obvious with their thorough and eclectic wine list. My fiancé got a tasty old world, Italian red and I jump started my palate with a light and not-too sweet gewürztraminer. Janet almost innately knew exactly the white wine to pour me because it was fantastic. The atmosphere was fun and lively. Each staff member, especially the bartenders, seemed to be lost in their convos with their guest (which in my opinion is a great way to connect with each guest). We were very fortunate enough to have Chef Brent come to our table upon Janet’s requests as we told her we were planning a honeymoon in Greek but we didn’t know which island to visit. Turns out Chef Brent lived in Greece for many years. Let me just tell you, folks!! He was so happy to talk about the different must go places in Greece. It was so fun talking to thee chef and him sharing our excitement about the great food and culture we are about to experience. Anywhooodles! Look at me… y’all got me digressing lol. Will… get back to the good stuff. How was the food?! Yeah yeah yeah, y’all are right. Let’s talk about the delicious food! The pictures I took doesn’t really do it justice but daaaaaaang was it delicious. I got the special for the evening which was bone in lamb. She got a sea bass for the dinner menu. Both were so delicious! Unfortunately, I didn’t take a pic of hers because she gets impatient when she has to wait till I take a photo first lol Trust me when I say this… try this place out. They are doing great things in this small and unassuming restaurant. I seriously can’t wait to go again!!!
My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Mick Brasserie Restaurant in Scottsdale and I must say, it quickly became one of my absolute favorite spots in the area. With its locally owned charm, delectable menu, and an exceptional drink selection, Mick Brasserie delivers a remarkable dining experience. Ambience: We decided to sit outside at the bar, which turned out to be a delightful choice. The ambiance was relaxed and pleasant, offering a great view of the surroundings. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. Food: The culinary journey that awaited us at Mick Brasserie was exceptional. We started with the Beef Tartare, which was expertly seasoned and perfectly balanced. The flavors were rich, the presentation impeccable. As for the Flatbread, it was a delightful surprise. Every bite was packed with a harmonious combination of flavors, leaving us wanting more. Dessert: For dessert, we indulged in the Creme Brulee and Chocolate Mousse. The Creme Brulee, with its perfectly caramelized top and silky vanilla custard, was pure delight. The Chocolate Mousse, on the other hand, was heaven on a spoon. It was creamy, rich, and velvety, with a deep chocolate flavor that satisfied our sweet cravings. Drink Selection: Mick Brasserie Restaurant not only excels in its cuisine but also boasts an exceptional drink selection. Their beer list is extensive, with many Belgian varieties that will please any beer enthusiast (especially my wife as she is from Begium). Additionally, they offer a range of local craft beers, adding a touch of local flavor to the experience. The wine selection is also impressive, with a variety of options to complement your meal. Overall Experience: Mick Brasserie Restaurant has truly won my heart with its locally owned charm, outstanding cuisine, and exceptional drink selection. The attention to detail, from the impeccable presentation to the harmonious flavors, showcases the exceptional talent of the chefs. The warm and attentive service, combined with the inviting ambiance, make this restaurant a must-visit spot in Scottsdale. I highly recommend visiting Mick Brasserie Restaurant if you're looking for a memorable dining experience. Whether it's a special occasion or a casual night out, this hidden gem is sure to impress. Be sure to explore their exceptional beer list, featuring Belgian and local craft beers, as well as their extensive wine selection. Note: Please remember to book your reservation in advance, as this popular spot tends to get quite busy.
This was a fun place. The food is great, the wine was delicious and the service and atmosphere were outstanding. We were able to get seats for the World Cup of Wine. If you are able to attend one of these events, do not miss it!
Amazing local neighborhood gem. Everything from happy hour deals to 5 star tasting menu wine dinners. They have it all! Staff is so friendly and the menu is dynamic- French American fusion, menu changes fairly regularly with the seasons. Patio is great for sipping on wines from their lengthy list and to listen to music. Recent favorites were the whipped ricotta, meatballs and homemade focaccia. We can't wait to go back!
I love trying out unique dining experiences across the valley and I have to say thanks to Google for pointing me to Mick's... Such an awesome experience... The menu is off the chart, shout out to the chef and Stephan for taking such good care of us... We couldn't stop ordering and would have run through the menu between just my wife and I, if not for the thought that we wanted to keep some menu items for our next visit 😅.. Go with confidence, you will be going home with a happy tummy and taste buds...
Amazing food, beautiful atmosphere and lived up to all the buzz. After watching them transform the location into a beautiful restaurant (not an easy task) and with Covid changing the start of their business, it was so wonderful getting to enjoy a delicious meal from The Mick. So many of my friends had been posting pictures and talking about their experiences with eating here. They hype was real and big. Well The Mick definitely lived up to the hype. We enjoyed our meal on the pation while listening to soothing live music. The menu has pleanty of options for Vegetarians and meat lovers. Wonderfully and beautifully presented. Sophisticated flavors blended together to make your palete dance in delight. I have been telling everyone to go and enjoy. You will not be disappointed. Looking forward to their new fall menu.
Fun energetic, casual atmosphere with incredible cuisine. Very welcoming. Fantastic food - highly recommend the escargot, the grilled artichoke, and the filet topped with crab.
This place had very friendly staff and the food was excellent! You gotta try the Gazpacho soup - wow, like no Gazpacho I've ever had before! Since it is a French restaurant, expect service to be a bit more leisurely.
Great patio! Food was excellent, especially the perfectly prepared charred octopus. Excellent selection of wines, including from DAOU winery. Service was outstanding. Highly recommend.
Ok, so good. Kept eating before getting a picture because it was all so yummy and beautiful. Creative and delicious!!! Service was impeccable and the patio ambiance was lovely.
Over 350 yummy wines great food to share #amaZing place to chill w/ friends & loved ones & drink some wine So we had an awesome time at this restaurant Tuesdays and Thursdays they have live music sounds like Sundays they have half off wine 🍷 places super fun and if you go there during the week ask for my guy Jeff
Omg, everything was delicious tonight: Roasted cauliflower steak with curry, a crispy mushroom and sweet potato flatbread, whipped ricotta dip with pistachios, and a complex and beautiful watermelon salad. And I sampled my first orange wine out of a huge selection. The servers are warm, and attentive, and Stephan in particular is a doll. Their patio space was cozy and fun! I highly recommend.
Best place to grab a good glass of wine and small plates that tantalize the palate. If that wasn’t enough their service is hands down the most humble and attentive which can be extremely hard to find in Scottsdale. If you are visiting or a local, please don’t overlook The Mick
We just had the BEST meal ever!! Wow. Cole is a masterful server. Every bite was HEAVENLY! Thank you cannot wait to return!
We had a great experience here across the board. The food was delicious and they were able to accommodate a vegan/gluten free diet. The vegan/gluten free dishes were the mushroom dish, cauliflower steak, and squash. The second two dishes required slight modifications to make vegan. The mushroom dish was unique and we ended up getting two because it was so tasty. The shrimp tartine dish was 10/10 as well. They were on top of the service and our primary waiter, Ricky, was incredible. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. Highly recommend dining here!
Rarely do you meet perfection in food, service and atmosphere, but tonight was that rare occasion. The Mick delivered all under the careful eye of Chef Brent. Brian and Rick controlled the description of the small plates. They discussed ingredients and and wine choices. Each dish was prepared properly. Their recommendations on sharing worked well with 7 enjoying the night festivities. The french menu does not leave anything out so enjoy your time at The Mick.
The Mick is our favorite restaurant in Scottsdale. We came to Scottsdale for 10 days and ate at restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the Mick Brasserie is our favorite. The food is excellent, from the simplest to the most complex. The wines are expertly selected, not for their price, but for their intrinsic quality. The owner has an excellent palet and recommends what he likes, thinking of his customers’ satisfaction, not the total of their check. Having enjoyed a wonderful meal with my son after golf, we decided to come again with my wife when she joined us in Arizona. Sadly, she was unwell but the chef bent over backwards to cook something she could have. This is the amazing thing about The Mick Brasserie: the combination of skillful cuisine and serviceable flexibility, two qualities which seldom come together. Scottsdale is in no shortage of good restaurants, but where else will you find a genuinely caring service? We enjoyed the confit de canard, the shrimp tartine, the curried cauliflower, the valrhona chocolate mousse with cherries. When in Scottsdale, The Mick Brasserie it is!
Went there last night to celebrate a friend’s birthday and it was perfection. Jeff went above and beyond times 100 in taking care of us and making it a very memorable birthday celebration! The food and service as always is consistently excellent. Can’t wait to go back
The service here is top notch, AND the food is consistently fabulous. Their Happy Hour is fire. Get the shrimp toast points! Highly recommend. Super friendly atmosphere and cool outdoor seating area.
Jeff is not only the best sommelier in the Valley, he's also the best orchestraror of a magnificent experience. The food at The Mick is all amazing, but his pairing recommendations are always spot on. His passion for service, and the attentive and friendly staff, has us coming back as often as we can. Thank you again for a delightful experience.
Fantastic food, wine, service and atmosphere. Friendly service from the very knowledable staff. They take such great care of everyone. Great wine selection and Chef driven menu is outstanding as well. Check it out!
The Mick is always a great experience! Great staff, excellent food and it's always a great time! It's a casual environment with top notch food and wine! It's definitely a top favorite of ours!
A sure thing! Cozy, well lit, knowledgeable, personable people, a yummy menu and delicious wines! ! Live music often! A gem! My spouse and daughter were equally pleased! Tell them the Sideways Cowboy sent you!
What a gem. Everything about this place was on another level, all with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The service was quick, friendly, incredible knowledgeable and made you feel like fast friends. The food was wonderful! My wife and I came in to have some wine and a light bite and ended up staying for hours. Incredibly happy to have found such a wonderful spot!
Really nice dishes… the shrimp and escargot were in a delicious decadent sauce (different sauces), which soaked the bread they were served on. Individually, they would’ve been very filling, but we wanted to try everything so we skipped the bread (even though the sauce was sooo good) and ordered 70% of the menu, some of which, to our delight, were like tapas! Really lovely server and owner, who stopped by to say hello and was very kind. Chill and relaxing atmosphere where it feels like you can just be yourself. I highly recommend this place :)
My boyfriend and I hosted a private dinner last week as a way to kickstart his new small business and meet referall partners. We chose to host at The Mick and it was a great experience! Julie was so helpful and very easily available to talk to. The food was AMAZING. I personally thought so, and all the guests also had good things to say. The service was impeccable (all of our food came out in a reasonable amount of time despite the fact that we were a party of 31!), the wine was good, the restaurant itself was beautifully decorated. I know several of our guests left at the end of the night telling us that they would be returning. And I am personally going to be bringing my mom here for her bday in August. The pricing is on the higher end of the spectrum but you get what you pay for so I think it's worth it. Really, really impressed with this place!
Amazing find! We, 6 of us, are in town to visit my Great Aunt. I randomly picked a place that looks like a good vibe. We got way more than a good vibe! Everyone of the staff was super friendly, came by to say hi and check in. We had several small fun conversations with various members of the staff. You can tell they enjoy were they work and what they do. Especially when we walk in at 830 and they close at 10. The food was great! We ordered a random bit of a lot of things. The Califlower was a big hit which wasn't expected by any of us. Try it! The crab stack, the salmon, the bread, all amazing! Thanks for a great first night in town.
Fun place to dine! They had live music going on Wednesday night while I was out with a girlfriend of mine. While the music was going, it was a little difficult to hear my friend as we felt we had to almost yell at each other to hear one another. Food was delicious and was served more crudo styled. Lots of gluten-free options for those who have those dietary needs. The wine list has good variety. Service was great when there was less people (earlier in the evening) but once the restaurant was almost packed it took us about 30 minutes until we were able to get anyone's attention in order to get our tab.
Nice beer selection. Food is very good. Worth a try. Other than not serving alcohol nice place.
This restaurant is a little gem in the middle of Mc Cormick Ranch. The owner is very friendly and consider his guests like family. The atmosphere is pleasant with a European flair. They even have a sommelier. But the prices are in line with the quality and variety of the food. We attended a private party of 30. The service was impeccable. There is also a nice outside patio.
My girlfriend and I had dinner at Mick Brasserie, and unfortunately the service left us both uneasy. We each ordered a glass of wine to start, which arrived without issue. When the server checked in, he asked if we’d like a second round. I said yes, my girlfriend did as well. Only my glass showed up. At first we assumed there was a delay since she’d chosen a different wine, but after about 15 minutes—with no update—we asked another server passing by. She agreed to check on it. Nothing came. A third server eventually stopped at our table, and we asked again. Still nothing. What made the whole situation worse was the tone of the service from the start. Our original server seemed distracted and disengaged, more focused on his iPad than the guests in front of him. The repeated oversight, especially when it only happened to my girlfriend, left us wondering if it was more than simple forgetfulness. She is Filipina, and the dynamic genuinely felt dismissive in a way that was hard to ignore. The atmosphere of the restaurant didn’t help—high on pretense, low on warmth. For us, the experience never came close to matching the reputation or the price point. We won’t be returning, and I’d caution others expecting attentive or respectful service.
