Love the coffee, love the owner, love the staff. But I don't love the woman who brings her nervous nelly toy in on a 20 foot leash to wrap around peoples legs, or the gal who thinks it so cute that her 40 lb pup is so happy to jump in the laps of others having their coffee. I'm happy to introduce myself to your dog and scratch behind their ears....but let ME (and others for that matter) choose when to do that.

Very relaxed cafe place to sit in for a breakfast or brunch. Food is really fresh. Love the breakfast burritos. Dogs are welcome here. Actually the whole decors inside is about dogs. Coffee is decent.

This is seriously my favorite coffee shop in Simi! They are all SO nice here and the coffee is delicious. It has that small town feel. They have a ton of variety when it comes to their coffee and teas and they definitely have some specialty items. I also really like their breakfast and I feel like it's a pretty good bang for your buck.

I'm surprised I haven't made a review until now. I'm a regular at the shop and its a gem of Simi. The people working there are always nice. :) I usually get a breakfast bowl or a breakfast sandwich, but the hot dog they have is good too. There is a wide array of drinks to choose from and their holiday choices are always great (review written in Oct). I usually get a latte with a bit of honey in the shots and the quality of the espresso pull is always great. Doesn't feel weak and has a nice well rounded flavor. The more flavorful drinks also are fantastic and have a lot of variation. My only point is if you're not a big sweet person I'd get stuff half sweet. They're dog friendly!! You can bring your dog in and they always have pup cups. Some words of caution if you have a reactive dog, the space inside is relatively small and there's a 8ft or so wide corridor to the register. Some people have less behaved dogs and will sit on the aisle by the walkway. In that same breath however, there's outside seating and everything is very clean and comfortable. And if you're inside, once you've ordered there's multiples tables that allow groups to spread out.

July 2022 update: new owners, same great atmosphere! They've started a 'yappy hour' on Fridays and Saturdays from 3 to 7. Along with providing shots, Lucky Dog Cafe continues to be a fantastic place to come drink coffee and hang out with your pup! Update: it's been a few years and Lucky Dog is still going strong. A great business that supports it's local community strongly all while putting out delicious drinks and eats! Caramel latte was perfect, and the flavor of the bagel with Lox was incredible. Probably the best mom and pop shop I've been to in town. Also very dog friendly! Our Lola got a complimentary pup cup with whipped cream and a small piece of bacon. Definitely coming back again and again!

This place is super cozy and cute, clearly very pup friendly. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcomed. HOWEVER im disappointed that there was no French toast. I needed French toast, i was CRAVING it... Now my whole day is RUINED. Just kidding it was ok. Their muffins were really great, and the grilled cheese was a decent price for the quality. Pretty great overall ❤️ Ps. Get french toast asap and not those imposter stick ones thanks love ya'll 😉

This place is great! First time there Sunday afternoon, before we even walked in, Shannon had a puppy treat ready for our lab. Very relaxing environment. Food was great, extremely fresh and hot breakfast burrito. Service was excellent. We’ll be back with our friends to share this local treat!

The Lucky Dog Cafe is my go-to coffee place in Simi Valley. The staff are wonderful, friendly and proficient. The coffee is outstanding, the baked goods are tasty. There is a substantial food menu as well, although I have never gotten anything from that. There is good indoor and outdoor seating in a very pleasant atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The lucky dog is pet friendly, and even though I don't own a pet, I enjoy having the occasional dog around. I highly recommend it.

Everyone was friendly, the drink variety was pretty vast for a small shop, they came out quickly, and were delicious. We got a breakfast burrito that was good too, if a bit expensive for the size. We will absolutely return.

The lattes and brewed coffee, avocado toast, cinnamon roll muffin, other muffins are also excellent. I haven’t tried too many food items yet — stuck on the protein açaí bowl. They also have a vast menu of flavored drinks to try (made with coffee, tea or not) and wine. Sweet homey atmosphere featuring dogs & pets and some tables outside too. I brought my dog once & they gave her a pup cup.

A board dedicated to staff/customer creations which we tried 2 of, delicious. Ordered the breakfast burrito which was huge and was able to split still leaving feeling full from just half! I hike Wonderland quite often and may have found a new place for post hike coffee and food!

Cute little hole in the wall shop. Table top games to play with friends. I tried their matcha, and my son had a standard cream cheese bagel, which was perfect! Soft but crispy outside and a generous amount of cream cheese. They had different milk choices, I opted for coconut with my matcha. Highly recommend.

Friendly staff. Coffee is good and pretty reasonably priced. The pastries were good as well. For a 24oz coffee and a pastry it was about $10, which is pretty good compared to other local places. Coffee was slightly bitter, not extremely rich flavor. However it tasted very bright and fresh. Can't wait to bring my dog here!

Walked in and was not greeted. Two employees walked by or around as they attended other customers or as they prepared their order. Was still not greeted or acknowledged. Once attended, the order was out in a timely manner. We just didn’t feel welcomed at all and this was our first time here. There was a lot of children sitting at the tables with their moms. It did seem odd for a coffee shop . Bathroom was clean. Drink was very strong. Ordered a mocha with a non dairy milk. It was very strong and not well balanced. May try a latte in the future but not eager to return due to service.

The place is charming and I love their breakfast burritos and coffee. But for the second time in a row now when I ordered takeout for the burrito they forgot to put the turkey sausage in the burrito. The lean option is an extra dollar for turkey sausage and egg whites so it’s extra bit disappointing to be shortchanged like this. But if you do get everything you actually paid for here then it’s a great place, so I recommend dining in so such issues can be dealt with then and there.

I had gotten this place once before just for coffee and it was really good. I just tried it again and decided to order some food along with my coffee. While the food was good, it did arrive cold and I was disappointed in the selection of avocados I was given especially since this is an extra charge.

Came here when In town because I loved the concept. Unfortunately, you are hit with an odor the minute you walk in. Also, the barista was a little mean when I was ordering. I got an almond milk latte and that was good. Overall, I won’t be back

Small portions they were supposed to be known for their coffee it was basic . Burrito fell apart no flavor never go here again ! Chef burger is way better huge portions double amount more favor also way better price! These place is just bad all corn syrup and sugars unhealthy don’t support these !
