Sandwich outstanding ❤️ We had turkey BLT ….. sourdough was freshly baked and taste so good! Almond cake was made with ricotta as staff said, you. You can taste in between cheese cake texture but almond flavor. Taste so good with coffee ☕️ Love natural brown and cream color concept of this bakery cafe. Overall taste good. Definitely place I want to come back again.

The Baker's Daughters is a new establishment that just opened up recently. I believe a Chinese restaurant was what once occupied the space before, but now it has completely transformed to something quite extraordinary. It's a bakery. It's a coffee shop. It's a tea house. It's a sandwich shop. It's a gathering place. One thing is for sure, the food and drinks are exemplary. The lavender latte is a cut above the normal fare. The olive oil latte is an odd combination but amazingly satisfying. The Brazilian matte is great for hot days with its sweet zing of refreshing crisp flavor. The secret egg sandwich was to die for. The croque monsieur or madame if you prefer an egg on top is a revelation to eat and behold. The space is nice, open, and inviting. You have a clear view of everything that transpires before your very eyes. They change the pastries daily, so it's worth stopping in on more than one day. You won't regret trying it out. These Daughters are top-notch, and they are off to a great start.

If I want to have a great start to my day this is where I’m going first thing in the morning. The staff are all incredibly friendly and the aesthetic is beautiful. The Brazilian influence on the food and drinks has been so fun to try. My favorites have been the olive oil vanilla latte, pizza pane breakfast sandwiches, and the polpettone (meatball) sandwich. I’ve brought the bread and pastries to family get togethers and it always disappears so fast, especially the cheese bread!

Cool spot. Menu is written on the wall with a sharpie. Open kitchen. Food on display. Good food. Good mocha. Even the pizza's crust was fire. Good amount of traffic coming in & out while we were there.

Had the TBLT sandwich and cold brew coffee for lunch. It was very busy but food and coffee was delivered quickly. Purchased a sourdough loaf for home. Very tasty sandwich and beautiful bread.

delicious food and bread and coffee! we had a big group and everyone loved their orders. avocado toast was excellent. nice orange yolk eggs. Brazilian bakery with great sourdough loves, some pastries and cookies.

So many things I want to try out at this place. First of all the customer service and the experience was great and the place was packed with lots of people enjoying their food. I love to see all of the sourdough loves just sitting on the racks ready to get purchased. I also asked how long they have had their starter and they said they have brought in from Europe and it is over 150 years old. That is impressive because not everyone can keep a starter alive and you can taste the quality of the starter in their foods. We ended up getting some chocolate chip cookies and banana bread and an espresso. Next time I'm definitely getting a sandwich.

I don't give 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Full Stars very often, but this place genuinely deserves it. Delicious mushroom omelette with a small side salad, and a piece of their amazing sourdough bread. Followed by a piece of chocolate croissant bread, and Brazilian coffee. Thank you! What an experience 😊👍🏻

When this place is on, it’s amazing. BUT we have come here when everything isn’t “on” : the bread, coffee, Matcha, eggs, organic not good. But when this place is firing, it is amazing. We came today, I think a lot of the girls called in sick, probably too sensitive to work, TDS Idk? But the poor guy behind the counter was working his butt off, and everything just wasn’t that good/off, my French baguette was, soft all over, everything, so in short most of the time this place is amazing, but there will be an occasion where it’s not. Probably early mornings are your best bets.

Very friendly staff and the inside is a clean aesthetic. The secret egg sandwich was so flavorful. I got the Croque madame which tasted great but I wasn’t a fan of the texture of the ham. It was diced very small which gave it too soft of a texture for me. Their matcha latte with lavender syrup was pretty good, and next time I want to try it with the rose syrup. Overall a great spot, but a little pricey. Was $43 for two people. I’d come here again and definitely want to try the tartine, it looked incredible

Baker's Daughters is a tough case. The food is good, but I can't shake the feeling that they feel like they're graciously bestowing their services upon Simi Valley. The decoration is minimal but clean. There is a nice view of large bread making machinery right in the open which is very cool. But the menu just has this uncanny pretentiousness. Maybe it's not really there, but it really feels like it. The service doesn't help; I've never been greeted or given anything beyond transactional interaction, like ordering is an inconvenience to the staff. Now, the bread is amazing. Seriously, really good sourdough. The coffee is very good as well. The rest of the menu is... Technically good, but doesn't quite live up to the standard they're projecting. At the end of the day, I just don't really like eating here. It's uncomfortable. And that's what really matters, isn't it?

Decent food but really overpriced!! $50 for two with tip! Waitress was dull and not too happy to be working. The omelette was not good.

The monsier sandwich I had was very tasty BUT since it was very creamy I feel it would have been great if they put a pickle or something to break up the heaviness. Otherwise great place

Food was just alright and very expensive. Turkey blta 1 piece of overdone thin slice of bacon, , nothing at all on the side)$16. $3.50 for one more piece of bacon. Tables dirty, we wiped our own down inside and it came away with black dirt. Waited to order while a few of them chatted. Croissants were not turned properly or over proofed. Over all not great for us. Won’t be back. For a counter order tipping went from 20-30%. They did bring food to table.

My sister and I love supporting local businesses and loved coming here. The coffees are good and the pastries and bread are amazing… however… it is a complete hit or miss!! Every other time we stop by they don’t have pastries ready. We’ve gone at 8am when they open, 10 am, noon. It is completely up in the air if you will end up being able to get pastries. Most coffee shops have overnight bakers to prepare baked goods for the following day.. The Baker’s Daughters would greatly benefit from having their own. It’s just so disappointing when you want a fresh croissant with your coffee and 50% of the time they just don’t have them made. Just odd for a coffee shop and bakery? We’ve gotten to the point where if we want coffee and pastries, we just go someplace else that we know is more consistent.

Their phone number doesn’t work and they had no real reason as to why it was not working. Their favorite expression is, I can’t. I went in there to buy a loaf of sourdough and wanted it sliced, and the answer was the bread is too fresh and I can’t. I asked if I can buy a loaf that they could reserve so I can pick it up in the morning and have them slice it, the answer was I can’t. I did not have any food so I could not rate it.

I've enjoyed visiting The Baker's Daughter since they opened, but unfortunately, I've noticed a drop in quality over the past six months. I usually order the avocado tartine, and while their sourdough is typically excellent, theres something inconsistent about their other dishes. Especially the Avocado Tartine. In the past, it used to be bright green, and the flavors were all very apparent. Now it tastes old like avocado that's been sitting out for too long that appears browned, or the toppings like pumpkin seeds, onion, and radish are sparse. The bread thickness also varies--thin one day, quite thick the next. Today's experience was also less welcoming than usual. The cashiers used to be very friendly, but now they seem a bit overwhelmed. The cashier helping me didn't offer a greeting or thank you, which felt uncharacteristic of the place. I had hoped to order lunch, but since I arrived at 10:45 a.m., I was told I couldn't place a lunch order until 11. So, I defaulted to my usual breakfast order and quickly left to get coffee elsewhere, as I've stopped ordering coffee here due to frequent unavailability of the Vietnamese coffee ingredients. When I returned to pick up my order, the same cashier handed it over without any pleasantries. Unfortunately, when I got home, I found the toast was charred, which I found pretty unreasonable, especially for a $15 item. We all work hard for our money, and while I know they're an artisanal business, putting out less-than-top-quality food at this price point is disappointing. I wish I'd checked before leaving, but being in a rush, I didn't realize until I got home, where the burnt taste was all too apparent. If you're ordering to go, I'd recommend double-checking your order to ensure it meets the quality standard you expect.

First time customer. I asked about the bread and they seemed more interested in talking to friends plus they said all bread (the sourdough) is dark because that's how it came from the oven. Horrible, can't make certain sandwiches or even buttered toast as it would fall through hole. Tough, dry, and chewy. The birds liked it though.

The food WAS excellent! I say was because I literally go in all the time and I rave about this place. The staff is not friendly and the atmosphere is lacking, but the food WAS amazing. I brought some Brazilian friends in last weekend we had the Caprese salad and Sando and then stopped in again on Tuesday for the Caprese sando. It is literally the best sandwich I have ever eaten. I had told some other friends about it and went in this Friday, not even a week later and the boy at the front who never smiles said it’s no longer on the menu. Sorry what? I looked at the menu and not only do they not have the salad anymore either, there isn’t a vegetarian option that I can see and the menu has been significantly cut down. I would have stopped in weekly for that deliciously salad or sandwich. They were both 🤌🏼 I’m not sure why they would take two of their best menu items off their menu. I’ve been going to The Baker’s Daughter since they opened and eaten many menu items and these two items were by far the best. It’s unfortunate that restaurants do this to themselves and eventually will shutdown. I loved this place, but I suppose no longer.

I did not eat here due to the fact that they cannot tend to customers' needs for a different bread choice for their sandwich on the menu. If you want to keep up revenue and get customers to return or even try your place, you should accommodate changing a certain bread for the sandwich you want to order. My wife and I stopped by here a couple of days ago to order lunch. The worker at the front was being rude and inconsiderate and would not let me change the bread for a sandwich. Most sandwiches here have bread that I do not enjoy. I would not go to this place to support them because they cannot accommodate any request to alter or change the menu. Just a brioche bread instead of sourdough. It is that simple to keep customers happy. She did not. Do not eat here.
