Nox Sonora

Finally had the chance to visit this cafe (due to my schedule and the opening hours never lining up), and I'm glad I did: Nick, the purveyor, is extremely passionate about his coffee and he does his own roasting! I had a cortado, it was delicious. No swan or elephant but the oatmilk and city-roast Ethiopian coffee combo was just what I needed. Nox is a great place for coffee purists, and better value than you'll get anywhere in or around Sonora.

Easily my favorite coffee shop in town. If you're looking for sugary frappes, you may want to go somewhere else, but if you want real coffee this is the place. I usually add a little sugar to my lattes and cappuccinos but the expertly steamed milk here is so smooth and creamy I don't even need sugar. The owner is super friendly and the space is modern and clean. I wish I could afford to get coffee here every day!

I am very particular about my coffee and the coffee here is so good! Because of the craftsmanship I love drinks I wouldn't normally order at other coffee shops. Also Troy, the owner knows everything about coffee and he's great to chat with! Try anything, consider sparkling water and espresso too! It will blow your mind. When I am in Sonora, I go here everyday! It should be on every visitors list and a staple for locals.

Chai tea was delicious. We went for a 2 hour meeting and were able to accomplish our conversation in the atmosphere. We ordered and they brought us our drinks to the table.

The owner opened up for a special event and was great. Wood fire pizza, salad, gelato and sodas were wonderful and freshly made. He served some really different flavors of pizza and gelato. Very fun evening!!

This is a sweet little gem of a coffee shop. The ambiance is great and the barista really knows how to create a welcoming and friendly environment. I really enjoyed talking to him and the other customers in the dining area while I was there. You don’t get this kind of community at a chain coffee shop.

Lovely little coffee shop with a simple but welcoming vibe. The owner has a great presence about him and the care he takes in running his establishment comes through in every detail from the great coffee to the chill atmostphere.

Coffee is good but the five stars for is really for the owner Nick. He’s always friendly and willing to chat, has a real range of knowledge including some great hiking suggestions. I worked in Sonora for 2 months and made it a point to explore as much as possible, and Nox coffee was by far my favorite spot- it’s a neighborhood coffee shop at its best.

I like this place! The atmosphere is contemporary and minimal, good place to get some work done. The coffee beans are the best here! Lots of us locals say it's the best coffee in town! The owner makes latte art which is so pleasant. It does not sell snacks or pastries but thats why the bagel bin is down the street!
