We found this place on a whim one Friday night and were so glad we did! The food is phenomenal and they gift very large portions. There is also a bakery display in the back with all sorts of baked good, the “pan de bolo” was my favorite one! We were also pleasantly surprised that Friday night is Kareoke night… so my boyfriend had a fun time singing and I joined him too after some shots of Agua Ardiente 😂😂. Incredible place! I’ve already been back to have my grandparents try the cuisine.

Couldn't even take a picture because we were devouring the food. It was delicious. Our family went to celebrate my nephew. The portions are big, even the kids. They aren't stingy. Adults had bandeja paisa and kids had paisa kids. If I find a picture from the last time I'll post it. Service was good.

Outstanding experience at this Colombian restaurant in North Houston! Staff was amazing, and the food surpassed all expectations. Highly recommend it! Authentic flavors and top-notch quality. A hidden gem worth visiting often!

Came here from NC for the labor day weekend. I ordered a beef empanada which was delicious and my entree was breaded pork chop with plantains, white rice and salad. It was very good, but since they have the AC so high my food got cold quickly. Also I order a passion margarita on the rocks. Their first time it tasted like they just threw a whole bunch of salt. I could drink and they offered to redo which they did and it tasted a lot better. The prices compared to NC are dirt cheap.

I came in and made a Togo order. Noticed my order was messed up when I got home. Called the restaurant and the staff answered and hung up on me 3 times. I understand mistakes happen but the lack of customer service to fix the problem is not ok

Super disappointed. Came in for a cafe con leche, it was pretty watered down and not as strong as you would expect Colombian coffee to be. While waiting for my coffee I decided to order to order food to go in effort to support. There was not a single person in the place. Took way longer than it should have, 30 minutes- nothing to cook, no customers… The service and food both left much to be desired. Came home to a spoiled can of peas and carrots and minimal wilted lettuce and it smelled like something was spoiled.

This place is nothing like the original Gran Colombia. The food and presentation looked great but the taste was terrible. The rice was under cooked the food was dry and just didn't taste good. Most colombian places I have been too are pretty good but this place wasn't even closed. If you are familiar with good colombian food you will be disappointed in this place.

I was really disappointed with my recent experience at La Gran Colombia. I had placed an order for empanadas ahead of time for a party, specifically to avoid any delays. Unfortunately, when I arrived to pick them up, the order wasn’t ready at all. This put me in a difficult position, since I was on a tight schedule and had planned around their commitment. Instead of a smooth pickup, I ended up waiting far longer than expected, which was frustrating and stressful given the circumstances. The food itself may be good, but the lack of preparation and reliability made the experience very frustrating. I hope they improve their organization and communication, because advance orders should be honored on time—especially when customers are counting on them for events.

I went to get some Colombian baked pandebono and buñuelos they told me that they were fresh and made every day fresh so I bought some to take home and when we started to eat I couldn’t believe anything they told me everything was old and extremely dry so I had to throw them away and I wouldn’t come back again it’s so sad to expend so much money and not even eat

Unfortunately, the bread I bought from this place was full of green mold. I asked if the bread was fresh, and she told me yes, all their bread is baked every day. Please check your bread before they put them on the bag so you don't have the same bad experience as me where the "fresh" bread was not fresh at all. After I drove back 40 minutes from my home to return the bread, they changed all of them for a new, still warm, freshly baked bread.

First time here. Ordered pan aliñado con queso but wanted to have pan aliñado sin queso. The lady informed me we can’t do a refund after the transaction is done. Also they ran out of Buñuelos and other places never have a problem and do not run out. This review is to make changes and if you wish to make this business better take heed of the errors and fixes. I am disappointed because other Colombia places I’ve never seen one who runs out of Buñuelos and Pandebonos.
