Avis sur Caribbean Fish Market St. Thomas
This was my favorite restaurant I went to during my visit to St. Thomas. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was great. Caribbean Fish Market has a nice view of the water. You have to try Seabase, Lamb, or the Seafood pot. Also, the wedge salad . Trust me, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, I believe.
Best seafood EVER! Seriously best I’ve ever had. We had tamarind calamari to start, entrees were grouper and sea bass, then shared key lime pie and ice cream sandwich for dessert. They make everything fresh even the ice cream! The attention to detail crafting each dish really showcases the love they have for the food. The service and the vibe was amazing. My husband almost fell asleep on the couches there. 🤣
I rarely give 5 stars. This place was amazing! They have the best steak I have eaten in a very long time. The Korean wings make my mouth water just thinking about them now. The shrimp tacos were on the small side, but the taste made up for it. Nice little appetizer. Beautiful waterside ambiance. Pricy, but well worth it. I wish we had a CFM back home 😔.
I had a very pleasing dinner. Charlotte is an excellent server who made recommendations regarding the dishes that are local and what the restaurant is known for. The lobster was my entree (very tasty, tender, easy to eat), and my dessert was the ginger creme brûlée (delicious!). Terrific view of the beach from my outdoor table. I highly recommend to others.
This place is right on Cowpet bay and it has a beautiful view with a breeze right off of the ocean. It is very well decorated and classy. It’s very pricey but to be expected for an upscale place. The food was quite good and so was the service. Would recommend for a special date night or birthday dinner.
THE BEST RESTAURANT ON THE ENTIRE ISLAND!! Ask for the Ambassador! He’s the best waiter, remembered us and our drink orders from before, great sense of humor and knows everything about the menu! The food and drinks were perfection with a fun, lively atmosphere to match. The local lobster with a shrimp topping was my favorite and my husband loved his tomahawk. My son LOVED his steak! Make a reservation and make sure you eat here!
The food here is top notch! My family and I had several options from the snapper to the stuffed lobster, and the salmon. All I can say is WOW! The location is stunning! Beautifully decorated. The staff are so professional and friendly! This is a great spot for date night or special evening! You will NOT be disappointed!
Great spot for brunch, single , couple, groups , or families. I recommend making a reservations as this is a very popular spot. The ambience was perfect, situated right on the beach however open air seating us optional. Parking can be a small challenge during peak time. Our waitress was the perfect representation of hospitality. The food was delicious! My only complaint were the Hush Puppies, they seemed prefab, overcooked and extremely hard, other than that our food options were all delightful! I will definitely be back.
Our dinner here was our best meal of our trip to St Thomas, and that’s high praise considering some of the other amazing meals we had. The Caribbean Fish Market is Tucked away in the quiet and serene Elysian Beach Resort, with ample parking steps from the restaurant, we sat outside right off the beach and water, just a short drive from Red Hook. The food was absolutely delicious and was impeccably prepared, beautifully presented, and served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. I can’t wait to return!
This is a great spot for date night. My wife and I had a wonderful time at this restaurant and our servicer was the 'Ambassador', please ask for him because he was so great. Any modifications that we wanted to our meals he accommodated. The seating is open air with a nice ocean breeze and there were no issues with mosquitoes. The food is great but be prepared to pay for that great food because it is on the pricey side. This is just a heads up for my foodie family out there in the world. If you have checked out my profile I have rated seafood restaurants all over the Caribbean.
Arrived in St. Thomas and came for dinner the first night. Food was fantastic and our server, Sean, was so kind and took great care of us. We ordered a sampling of appetizers and then my son got the crab encrusted whole lobster. Wow!! We ate too much and were sad to miss the homemade desserts but will be back.
5-Star Review for Caribbean Fish Market THEIR POKE BOWL IS BY FAR THE BEST POKE BOWL I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! A MUST HAVE! Caribbean Fish Market exceeded all of our expectations and provided a truly unforgettable brunch experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a relaxing yet upscale ambiance that perfectly complemented the breathtaking waterfront views. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish we tried showcased the freshest seafood with flavors that were both bold and beautifully balanced. The service was just as impressive as the food. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations, ensuring that every part of our meal felt special. It’s clear the team at Caribbean Fish Market genuinely cares about their guests’ experience. Yes, it’s a bit of a splurge, but the quality of the food, the stunning setting, and the exceptional service make it worth every penny. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to treat yourself to an extraordinary meal, Caribbean Fish Market is a must-visit. We can’t wait to come back! If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. It’s a slice of paradise you won’t want to miss!
Underrated! This place is so good. Best Chilean sea bass I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is nice- right on the beach! Definitely on the pricier side, but the quality and taste makes it worth it!
Dinner here was delicious. We made reservations about 2-3 weeks in advance and good thing we did, it was packed. Our table was outside which cut down on the noise of the restaurant. Jeannie was our waitress. She was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu. She was able to help us make our delicious decisions. Her service was impeccable. We had Ahi Tuna Nachos, Watermelon Arugula Salad, Shrimp Penne Pasta and Sea Bass. Everything was scrumptious. I definitely recommend eating here.
Great food!! Well seasoned and the service was top notch. I went to Pangea, Easterly and now Caribbean Fish Market and hands down this was the best restaurant thus far. The Ambassador was our server on my first visit (he was AMAZING). We came back the next night and that server (not sure his name) was not as good. However, the manager took care of us and she's always there making sure things are proper. Awesome food again but we didn't care for the mussels. The recipe of spinach, bacon and mussels just wasn't appetizing to any of us at the table. Pictured shared is Chilean Sea Bass and Arugula watermelon salad. I took these pictures after tasting the food because it was worthy.
Good food. Nice ambiance. Service was good. Plenty of gluten free options. We enjoyed all the food. Located inside the Elysian resort and close to the beach.
Over the top amazing. I had the stuffed lobster with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The lobster was stuffed with crab cakes. Hubs had the red snapper with roasted potatoes. Had spicy Brussel sprouts as an appetizers. Had Mr. Biglife as our waiter. He was very attentive. He recommended the drink I had, which was a Blueberry cocktail super yummy. No dessert as we were both full from the incredible meal. The lay picture of the view from our table. Will definitely go back.
We went here on Valentine’s Day, we were able to get a reservation online the same day. The service was impeccable and the venue has the most beautiful scenery. We got the calamari with banana peppers as an appetizer, the fried shrimp dinner pictured and the stuffed Caribbean lobster. We also got the Caribbean Fish Market mojitos. I’d recommend any/all of those to anyone visiting.
Everything was on point.. the service was exceptional and our server's recommendations were great. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the breeze and view. The local cat, Bruce Lee, made an appearance as well.
Outstanding restaurant. My wife and I are staying at the Ritz Carlton next door. We went down to the on site Italian restaurant and we were told that there wasn’t any table available but we could order take out. I decided that I want to have a nice sit down dinner with my wife so we came over to the Caribbean Fish Market. What a great choice. We started with the poke tune nachos and calimari. Both were excellent with a very slight sweet taste on the calamari that balances with the saltiness. My wife ordered the butter broiled lobster, and I ordered the catch of the day which was red snapper. Both were perfectly cooked. I highly recommend this restaurant. Especially if you are staying the Ritz and you don’t want to deal with their lack of service.
We visited Caribbean Fish Market in St. Thomas and had a really nice experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome the entire time. You can sit outside facing the sea and relax while enjoying the sound of the waves. They also have a nice selection of wines. If you’re in St. Thomas, this is a great spot to stop by! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Kat made our dinner at Caribbean Fish Market unforgettable. From the moment we sat down, her bubbly, welcoming personality lit up the table and turned a great meal into an amazing experience. We even watched the table next to us come back and request her because they had such a good time. If you’re making a reservation, put in the notes that you want Kat. She truly makes the night special.
Very nice quiet restaurant on the water. All the food was amazing & the service was great! The shrimp tacos were delicious. I'd definitely go back.
Seafood was amazing. For appetizers we had pawns grilled and for dinner I had the 2lb lobster and stuffed shrimp. Great view of the beach and employees were friendly and funny
Very beautiful location. Great service and Extra friendly staff. Loved the lollipop lamb chops, the tomahawk was very tender and flavorable, the shrimp salad was pretty good, loved the seasoned shrimp with bacon. The citrus vinegarette dressing was the best to me. The alcohol drinks were also refreshing. Our meal total around $300. We will definitely return next year.
My husband and I came here while we were visiting USVI for the first time and had heard many recommendations for this place. It stood up to its reputation! Best steak we’d had in a long time, fantastic service, great view. Shout out to our server, Aaron, who made us feel right at home and took great care of us all night.
My husband & I stayed at Elysian and we were hesitant to try Caribbean Fish Market after reading the mixed reviews but I am happy we decided to try it because we had a great experience. Both our meals were great & service was quick and super attentive. My husband had the stuffed lobster & I had the Seafood Hot Pot. The Calamari was also delicious. I was pleasantly surprised with our experience. We also hung out at the bar a couple nights since we stayed at Elysian. Nice clean bar and good company.
Beautiful location and super cozy atmosphere! We enjoyed sitting at the bar, bartenders were great. The food was amazing! My boyfriend enjoyed the wahoo and ate it two nights in a row! The shrimp salad, calamari l, wings and filet were soooo good!!!!! It's on Cowpet Beach so you can take a walk on the beach after a lovely meal.
We had a not-so-great experience almost everywhere we ate this week. I am so glad we ended our trip at this restaurant. Kat was our server and she was absolutely FABULOUS! Cannot say enough good things about her! Best customer service we received all week. The food was amazing. Dinner was great! Dessert was even better. I highly recommend the ginger creme brulee. The first few bites were different and then I was just in there. It was so good.
Sunday brunch, good and varied choices. Smoked salmon Benedict was perfectly done, as we're roasted potato side. EXCELLENT Bloody Mary ☺️☺️. Kevin, our server, was professional and charming, a keeper 👍👍. Thank you all, beautiful brunch spot, and wonderful service !!
Lovely venue right on the beach. Wife had the pork chop and I had the filet mignon. Both were excellent. Service was great Enjoyed everything. We sat on the side patio and it was great.
The absolute best meal and a very special atmosphere for Christmas Eve! The seafood as well as the turf items were all amazing! Ask for The Ambassador! He is great!
Amazing restaurant. We dined here twice during our 6 night stay at Cowpet Bay. The sea bass entree is AMAZING! Literally melts in your mouth. The Ambassador was our server on our second visit and he was fantastic as well. Highly recommend for an upscale dining experience. Pricey but you get what you pay for!
We came to STT during a quiet time on the island when most restaurants were relatively empty. Not Caribbean Fish Market! The place was packed in a fun lively way, but we didn’t wait for a table which was also great. The staff was so friendly - each with fun nicknames like The Sheriff. The menu was so appealing my husband opted for 3 appetizers instead of a single entree, and we enjoyed every single dish that came to the table. An absolute A+ experience and worth every single penny.
All the Yuma and all the vibes are here. The food was absolutely spectacular and our waiter was a very charismatic guy that we really enjoyed! The wahoo was so good. I would eat that again. Honestly all the food we had was really good. Don’t miss out on the rum cake for dessert. It was delicious.
Table for 4 at 7:30 pm’s and didn’t have a long wait and they were very busy at this time. Our server was nice and the entrees are $$$ we were only going to have appetizers with a beverage since it was a long travel to STT, and they were delicious. We imagine the entrees would be just as amazing. If time allows we hope to come back, we enjoyed it and would recommend. There were a lot of well dressed folks, wasn’t a casual attire place, I felt underdressed, but I don’t really care, we are on vacation 😆
This restaurant was only a few feet from our condo so super convenient. It definitely wasn’t the best meal we had on the island, especially for the price. The service was adequate. Their appetizers are really good. They have a different take on key lime pie.
Great food, I mean delicious!! Service was good but not great. We had reservations and were ten minutes early and they told us to go to the bar and they would come get us. 5 min after our reservation I went looking for them because they forgot. Waiter was awesome! We got spicy Brussel sprouts which were delicious. Then I got lobster and the wife got wahoo. Small portions but good food and good display. Took about 1:45 hrs for the both of us. Price was about 150 dollars for us both. 4 stars because the price and service. I expect a little better service and a little more food if I’m spending that much money. 3 asparagus with my lobster and mashed potatoes isn’t much.
My family ate here for the first time tonight. It was a mixed experience. Pros: -Best steak I've ever had. Delicious and tender -Nice atmosphere -Nice staff Cons: -Very slow. Start to finish took 2 hours for a party of 3 -Expensive. This will not be a cheap meal -Mediocre deserts and sides Overall, this place was ok. I had an amazing steak. However, given the price, slow pace, and underwhelming sides, I wouldn't eat here again most likely.
Nice location right on the beach front. Lots of outdoor and indoor seating. Nicely sized full bar. Found atmosphere and overall lighting pleasing. We found the food to be good but not great. Noodles not fully cooked and fish was under salted and on the bland side. Crab cakes are nice but on the fishy tasting side. The pork chop was well cooked and juicy. Good option for a nice dinner.
We went here after receiving several recommendations from people, unfortunately we had a bad experience. Our waitress was promoting her side business, which I would have been okay with had it not affected our meal. We ordered two apps and two mains. The apps came out quickly but it took 40 min to get the main dishes. A couple that came in after we placed our order got their food before us. I had to chase down a server to get someone to check on our food. We ran out of water twice and had to keep asking for it.i had the grouper which was mediocre at best, not a $60 meal at all. The sea bass was very good. I hate we had such a bad experience because we were looking forward to it for a few days.
Visited here once for dinner during my vacation. Overall, from my experience, this place had a great view and atmosphere, but the food was overpriced, mediore at best. Great menu choices, though and I guess depending on day/time certain dishes might taste better. We ordered watermelon arugula salad, surf and turf, and grilled wahoo. I didn’t have high expectations but first of all the salad was too warm and the watermelon did not taste fresh at all. The steak was too salty and unevenly cooked. The lobster was tiny and a bit mushy. The fish was better than expected.
Caribbean Fish Market was our second dinner on St. Thomas this trip. It is a “resort restaurant” meaning it’s in a resort, and open to the general public. All things considered, it was pretty good! Karla was our waitress, she did a great job! Attentive, responsive, but not intrusive. Thanks Karla! We had a cocktail and started with the calamari appetizer… great calamari until you reached the bottom of the dish were the sauce laden calamari was soggy. We tried a couple of salads next… the watermelon salad and the shrimp wedge. Both salads were good, but suffered from an over abundance of sauces. On the watermelon salad, too much of the raspberry puree; on the wedge salad, too much dressing. Recommend you ask for the dressings on the side. We both ordered fish entrees, the sea bass and the grouper. Both fish were delicious, but again, the polenta/rice on the bottom of the dished swallowed the entrees. Sometimes less is more! We had a glass of Pinot Grigio and the key like pie for dessert. Wine was good, the key lime pie was better… the highlight of the evening. Good experience at CFM, but with so many other offerings on the island, we likely won’t be back. As a “resort restaurant” it’s more geared to residents than visitors.
Great experience. The food is listed and commented on being a higher class meal. Multiple options are available outside of seafood. Not somewhere I would suggest. Waiter was a very cool gentleman and personable really made it a good experience. Overpriced for what you're getting. Ordered dine in Apple Bacon Stuffed Lamb Chop, Lemon Half chicken, and coconut rum punch cough cough without the punch just saying
The bar staff is great and food tastes good. Only complaint is we went on a busy night and received an awful non-greeting from a rude woman (Caucasian) at the hostess stand. She acted like she was too busy to answer one question about bar seating and hurried away without acknowledging my question. Very disappointing.
Although we had reservations, we were seated in their “court Yard” which was fine but not a great atmosphere. Our server was very nice but very slow to bring us our wine. I think he forgot about us. I had the shrimp stuffed lobster. The heavily bread crumbed stuffing was very dry and the lobster was pretty tough. Over all the dinner was OK but I wouldn’t go back
Lovely, quiet spot, perfect for a relaxed or romantic dinner. The wine list looked great, and service was efficient, though not very warm. The prawns were grilled nicely and full of flavor. My husband’s grouper was tender and well-seasoned, though the risotto was tougher than I typical. The whole roasted snapper was ok, it was on the drier side and the sauce was a bit salty. Very steep at $70 per pound. $420 for 6 pounds of grilled snapper was unusual. Overall beautiful setting, but the food didn’t quite match the price. We had better for less at the Ritz.
Beautiful restaurant but as a woman of color I would never go back based on how bad the colorism is. I arrived right when they opened and the restaurant definitely wasn’t crowded, but yet I was told that I couldn’t sit outside because it would throw the chart off 🙄again it was right at opening and still plenty of seats outside and instead of my waiter trying to attempt to find an outside seat he brushed me off and didn’t care about customer service. TikTok coming soon
We ate at this local fish spot while visiting St. Thomas, and overall the experience was… fine, but disappointing for the price. Our server was genuinely great — friendly, energetic, and attentive. No complaints there at all. Unfortunately, the food itself felt pretty lackluster for what you’re paying. I can’t help but wonder if prices are inflated because of the proximity to the Ritz-Carlton. I’ve paid for mediocre, overpriced food plenty of times while traveling, and that alone usually doesn’t upset me. What did upset me was the red snapper situation. When I asked the server for his favorite local fish, he recommended the local-caught red snapper. It was listed at “market price,” which I admittedly didn’t ask about — but I assumed local fish wouldn’t be outrageous. When the bill came, that single fish was $140. That felt excessive and really dampened the entire experience. On top of that, I ordered a club soda with a splash of juice (not fresh juice) and was charged $12. On a Caribbean island, charging that much for non-fresh juice feels pretty hard to justify. Bottom line: great service, but the value just isn’t there. If you go, absolutely ask for prices upfront — especially for market fish — so you don’t leave feeling surprised and disappointed.
The paella tasted like low tide and cost $80 with seafood that warrants at best $30. The staff were great and very attentive. I let the manager know and she told me she wished I had told her earlier. That response left me a bit confused, so I’m sharing it here instead. I would avoid the paella and bring your wallet 10 out of 10 cost on 5 out of 10 quality.
