Had a great Saint Patrick's day lunch here! It was very good with corn beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots and some kind of Irish type muffin. Really excellent. I will be back.

Where do I begin. This restaurant has heart! ❤️After driving up the coast for hours my boyfriend and I arrived at our Airbnb in Bolinas and starving we rush to the closest restaurant knowing we are approaching closing time. The nicest guy (our server Patrick) says “we would never turn you away hungry!” In response to our frantic “are you closed!?” We order, after Patrick patiently answered all our questions about the dishes (they all sounded so good). Never made us feel rushed! Impeccable service, delicious food, also knowledgeable about the product they carry. He suggested a red wine made locally in Bolinas!! It was amazing (I bought a bottle to fly home)! And last but not least, the tofu curry I ordered was to die for!! I was in love. Our server was great. We left full. Ordered an appetizer - mozzarella with tomatoes and garlic bread with basil oil (probably the best thing we ate. Had salmon fish n chips and a Chile Pepper Rock Fish. And finished off with a vanilla ice cream cone with double 8 dairy Buffalo milk ice cream with caramel sauce. The cone was really good and caramel was house made.

This is a great find. The fresh, homemade menu is top notch. The fish tacos were to die for. Get whatever fresh fish they’re offering, and you will love it. Top it off with locally brewed beers. The servers were very attentive, and attuned to our needs. Can’t wait to go back.

My son and I had the fresh fish options which were fish tacos and fish and chips. The best fish and chips in California. The fish on the tacos were fresh. Perfect portions. They also do perfect pizza for take away. We kept coming back for lunch and dinner.

What an amazing dinner we had recently at the Coast Cafe. Scallop ceviche appetizer, caesar salad, halibut and short rib. The food was excellent. Everything was delicious, beautifully plated and perfectly cooked. Thank you, Coast Cafe, for a wonderful evening! (Also enjoyed great conversation, terrific coffee and a yummy veggie breakfast burrito at the Coast's little coffee stand in the morning!)

Friendly, casual atmosphere, and seriously good food. We were keen on seafood, so split 1/2 doz oysters (so so fresh), split the clams (steamed in wonderful broth), and the catch-of-the-day fish-n-chips. All of it tops. Oh and wonderful live fiddling and banjo in the background.

This was an amazing meal, beautiful surroundings, kind staff, and a true farm to table ethos in all the dishes. The soup and the homemade pie were my favorites (great vegetarian options) Definitely worth a stop.

My friends and I make the trek from Sac to Stinson at least once a year, and we do our best to stop here for food. The fresh catch fish & chips is always great and their desserts are worth breaking your diet on. Good service, good food, good times.

One of the best hamburgers I've had in a very long time. And the dessert was delicious, too. Best of all, though, was the friendly and attentive service. The first server brought menus and water bowls for our dogs, lit the heater and made sure we were comfortable. The second server was delightful. I wish I'd asked their names so I could mention them personally. They made a very nice meal even more special with their warmth and friendliness and great service. For a small place, the menu had lots of offerings, including vegetarian options.

Delicious food! I got the grilled bbq oysters and the fish tacos and wow the flavors were amazing. This place is a “hidden gem”. I highly recommend getting food here plus they are pet friendly!

My husband found this spot and all I can say is he did an amazing job finding it because the food was great. We got there around noon and the outdoor patio was full, so we sat inside. I loved how as soon as we were done with a plate someone will come by and pick up the plate, which most places don't. The bathrooms were clean. The restaurant looked well taken care of inside. The calamari and crab tasted fresh and made me want more. They were not stingy on the clams for the pasta. I will definitely go out of my way to go back to this place again

Really cool place with great people, almost didn't take the turn off Hwy 1 but so glad we did. We had a great time chatting with the folks there and the food was great. Caesar salad was great and authentic, the calamari was amazing, and the grilled oysters with olive oil and garlic were delicious. Take the turn and check out the beautiful town! You won't regret it! Also, great outdoor seating but the inside is very cool as well. Edit: great wine and beer list as well!

Being from Atlanta, this was our first dinner stop for our long weekend in San Francisco. We couldn't have chose better and we knew we were going to splurge a bit. 1st - those fresh oysters were fantastic! very meaty and flavorful compared to many of our east coast species. 2nd - the sourdough bread was a perfect snack in between the oysters and entrees. 3rd - Wife got the fresh catch yellow fin tuna and I got the fresh Dungeness whole crab. Yes, we polished off everything. Service was great, the live music was..... a bit on the Zappa side of things, which I didn't mind. It wasn't invasive. We hope to make our way here again someday!

I also had the huevos rancheros for breakfast on a different day and they were also great, nice blue corn tortillas! Has a lovely back patio or you can sit out front and people watch. Dog friendly 🐕‍🦺 Very friendly servers and chill relaxed vibe.

We had the halibut special, oysters, steamed clams and the heirloom caprese. All were delicious. There was even a band across the street to provide entertainment during our meal. It wasn’t cheap but it was worth it.

Charming restaurant with very well prepared, very fresh fish. Great salad and delicious pie with buffalo milk ice cream. It was a busy night with one waitress who did a tremendous job. If you're in Bolinas, don't drive to Pt. Reyes Stn, Olema or Marshall for dinner. Eat at the Coast Cafe!

When the Muir Woods closed due to the government shutdown, we pivoted, and we are so happy we did. Our party of 8, which they so accommodatingly allowed us to spilt into separate tables for 4 adults and 4 tweens, had the best time on their patio. The service was stellar and warm, the atmosphere was friendly and there wasn't a stranger to be found, and the food was even better than both those combined. Thanks to the whole crew for being the highlight of the day.

The steamed clams and mussels were the best I've had in years. Perfectly cooked, not overdone and small like so many places. The ribeye was delicious and the mashed potatoes that came with it were perfect 👌. Fish tacos were complex and delicious. You can tell they have an artist back there. Service was great and added to the experience ❤️. We went with a toddler and sat outside, luckily most people were inside, but they were very kind and seemed to enjoy her antics which always makes it more enjoyable for the adults.

Morning hack if you are in Bolinas. Head over to the Coast Shack cafe on side of restaurant. Grab a fresh loaf of paradise bread with your coffee and then eat on beach around the corner. Good selection of fresh pastries and donuts as well.

Saturday brunch service was friendly and efficient. We had very hot, fresh fish and chips that was excellent. Also had an ABC omelette that was ok but should have ordered something else (eg crab Benedict). Clean and comfortable by the fire, and outdoor seating was available. Will definitely go back next time we visit the wildflower seed store in Bolinas.

Quaint space. Great food (large portions). Loved the Belgian waffle, house potatoes, and the fish tacos looked good, too. Friendly service. Have spent many, many days over past 20 years in Bolinas and have walked past Coast Cafe more times than I can count. Glad I finally stopped to check it out. Will be back.

Food was amazing, everything was fresh farm to table quality. Service was slow. Short rib one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Oysters were great and at a good price.

Lamb burger was ok, but I would never order it again. Drake Oysters are very small and not I was looking for considering they are right on the shore. Clam Chowed is ok if you are hungry. If you are hungry, this place is ok, but if you are not, I would opt something else.

So so fish and chips but fish tacos were yummy. But took over 20 mins to get our food. But I guess most people there are not usually in a rush, except we miscalculated our hike nearby and arrived way past lunch time and I was a bit hangry. Otherwise yummy food, friendly wait staff, reasonably priced.

Breakfast-wise the basics are good (eggs, pancakes, bacon, etc). Ordering the brisket-hash a few months ago was a major mistake (not fresh, got sick from it). Been here enough times to know this was an aberration; overall it’s a solid place with excellent croissants by the way.

Nice restaurant, decent food, with live music. However, we waited one hour for our food to come out. It's totally not worth it. Not recommended for those who want food only. There's a bar. Maybe different for those who want to drink and hang out for a long time in a nosy place.

Some of my tagliatelle were fridge cold, clearly not freshly cooked, and not evenly heated up. The chowder was rather gooey and grilled oysters could have used more butter. Neighboring table had issues too. Service was very friendly

Service SUCKS! It took 20 minutes for them to give me pre-made soft serve in a CUP! Crazy. Ice cream is good but not worth the wait and horrible cooks. All the other food sucks.
