In September, I was in Skopje with friends and met someone who, seeing as we were Italian, asked me where we were from. When I said "from Stradella," he asked us, surprised, "So, do you know Giuse?" Great Giuse. INTERNATIONAL!!
Excellent place, I recommend booking. A little hard to find if you're not a local, as there isn't much signage until you actually enter the hotel. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, and attentive to guests' needs. The food is homemade and very tasty. I definitely recommend it.
Well-deserved reviews. The braised agnolotti and appetizers were truly excellent. The wait staff was friendly and welcoming, though perhaps a bit distracted due to the high number of orders. The price was fabulous. The only complaint was that the place was very noisy. We'll be back.
The restaurant is on the first floor inside the Hotel Italia. Friendly staff, truly excellent food, and impeccable service. I'll definitely return if I can. The restaurant manager is commendable for his friendliness. AAA+++
I had lunch last Sunday! We had an appetizer, two first courses, and two desserts! Everything was delicious! Fast service! I recommend it!
We ended up in this rather hidden restaurant by chance. The food is delicious and the service is very attentive and exceptionally friendly. Anyone who has the opportunity and is in the area should plan a visit. :)

Trained and friendly staff. Really excellent dishes, especially the starters and dessert. Excellent value for money. We didn't get to try the boiled meats cart but it looked appetizing too. Truly a highly recommended place for those who want to delight themselves with simple and genuine traditional dishes. Go ahead like this

We were looking for an authentic restaurant serving local food and we found exactly what we were dreaming of! The service was great, food delicious and price-quality ratio amazing. If we return to the area for vacation, we will for sure come back to Osteria Del Giuse. Thanks for having us and see you at ProWein in Düsseldorf next year :-)

Lunch set menu €13.00 (first course, second course, water, and coffee). There's not a wide selection of dishes, but the ones I tried were good and made with quality ingredients. The only flaw is the service. The staff was friendly, but they forgot to come and take my order (I had to call them back after about 20 minutes of waiting). I hope it was a fluke. Overall, I'll definitely return when I'm in the area. Lastly, it's located on the first floor of a hotel in the center of Stradella.
This restaurant is a Stradella institution. Located inside a hotel, Osteria del Giuse has a taste of times gone by, both in its atmosphere and in its simple yet homemade dishes prepared with quality ingredients. The daily menu is described verbally by the waiters and features mostly Oltrepo classics. We shared the mixed antipasto, and everything was excellent: honorable mention goes to the coppa and the Oltrepo hills salami, among the best cured meats I've eaten in the Pavia area, and the lard and honey, so soft it could almost be spread on the bread. The only unremarkable thing was the chicken salad with vinegar reduction, a dish that didn't really resonate with us. For my first course, I had the braised beef ravioli, which were very good and, above all, so plentiful that I struggled to finish them. The wine selection is a bit limited, but there are some interesting labels. Fast and very friendly service, run by a large group of young people. The price was more than reasonable; with two bottles of wine, we spent €25 each. I'll definitely be back!
The appetizer was excellent: salami, prosciutto, lard with honey (superlative), coppa, and sweet and sour onions. The potato cake with parmesan sauce was delicious. The braised beef ravioli were always fantastic; it's just a shame they got cold almost immediately. It's fair to say that the pasta should be served on a flat plate, but a soup bowl would be better. Giuse is always exceptional in her hospitality. Very fair prices. Always book!
Good food and service
Guaranteed good local food for exceptional prices and friendly, fast service. Menu doesn't change much but you can count on the quality every time.
The starters were ok, but the tartare was really terrible. In general it feels like the chef stopped caring 20 or 30 years ago.the chef was so nice to not make me pay the tartare, so I'm actually quite happy overall. the price is reeeealy fair.
