Visited this place with friends and it’s such a cute hangout spot! I love the variety of seating like the individual cubicles and the lounge that’s next to the cafe. I got the iced moshi moshi and I never had banana flavor in matcha before but it was pretty good!

I have been coming here since they opened. Let me tell you something… whoever is the hiring manager, has always done a great job hiring people with welcoming personalities. This is such a big part of Kohiko. Every barista here has always been such a delight to speak to! Plus the music is always on point! I’ve tried most of their drinks and can recommend all of them! Lastly, this is a great place to work from. Highly recommend and thank you for bringing this gem to the Sugar Land area. LOVE THE DESIGN WITH THE TOY TRUCK AND COFFEE CUP!!!

Very nice coffee house. We enjoyed an iced coffee mocha and a hot cappuccino. There was a pretty good line waiting to order but the drinks came out quick and they were made very well.

My Husband and I literally drive here from Baton Rouge on long weekends or if we are passing through because we love it so much. I tried my first matcha here with the help of the barista and have never looked back. I had tried matcha before and hated it but she made me one that ✨️changed my life✨️ haha we also love the atmosphere and the authentic Japanese influence. Everyone who works there is so nice and seem genuine and care about what they do. I wish we lived in Houston because of this place.

Best coffee spot I’ve found in Sugar Land. Gave out a couple of free Pokemon cards today and my son will be pumped. Coffee is great too I keep coming back

Kohiko is an incredibly cozy cafe with stellar lattes and the cutest mini croissants with the most layers. Early on weekends and weekdays is the way to go, because the locals know and love the place— weekend afternoons are PACKED! Do yourself a favor and drop in!

The ambience of this coffee house was amazing, the staff were super nice. I don’t have very much experience with matcha, so my matcha latte wasn’t to my liking but I think that’s just personal preference. The staff member gave me a free stickers!

Kohiko Coffee House has been my go-to coffee shop for months, and I can't recommend it enough! The owner and staff are incredibly friendly—I’m on a first-name basis with the baristas, and they always make me feel like a valued customer. The drinks are amazing, and the atmosphere is perfect for working, studying, or just hanging out. Whether you're a coffee lover or just looking for a cozy spot to relax, this is the place to be. I always recommend Kohiko to my friends and family. Definitely a must-visit!

This place is a vibe! You can tell the intention in the details, lots of natural lighting and modern and sleek interior. Owners have a palpable excitement and passion for their craft and are so friendly! So many plugs everywhere so people can study easily, has some outdoor seating! Open concept kitchen so you can watch your drinks being made. We enjoyed the Okinawa latte and the Houjicoco with oat milk. Lots of unique Japanese inspired drinks in addition to the traditional coffees you’d expect. Highly recommend! Parking in this strip is limited, recommend parking in the adjacent plaza with Keepers and taking a short 1 min walk to the shop.

Came here to study and get some work done. First time here. The place was very cute, loved how we can watch them make the drinks at the coffee bar. Moshi Moshi was surprisingly bitter. I thought it would be a sweet coffee drink haha. I mean you def taste the banana, but the drink itself is not sweet. It wasn't bad though. Def WOKE me UP. 7.8/10 (from preference I like sweet drinks) Brown sugar matcha latte is SO POPULAR and I know why. It's really good! I spent 5 hours here and I see them making that drink non-stop. Everyone was ordering it. I do recommend if you don't know what to get. It's sweet but not overly sweet. If you like dark coffee, it may be too sweet for you, in which case you can always ask for less sweet. 9/10 In all I like the place. Got very crowded right before they close though. Crying baby, crowd out the door, big groups, I could hear them through my noise cancelling headphones, but I didn't let it take my focus away from my work. It was just a passing thought. It was more quiet from 12-3PM. Place is def worth a try though! Clean restrooms as well! Note: -they have happy hour starting at 3 (or 4) - 6PM where it’s 50% off bakery items. I didn’t see that sign until we left xc. -lots of outlets + hangers for bags under tables

I usually don’t get on google to review but this one of my favorite coffee shops ever. My favorite order is moshi moshi with 1 shot of espresso just because I like my coffee to be a bit less strong. It is my personal preference but recommend if you prefer your drink to taste sweeter. I go to coffee shops to study and although it can get busy, I always manage to find a spot. The baristas are amazing and have created such a welcoming environment that I usually end up talking to them or other customers.

The crew at Kohiko are killing the coffee scene game! This is one of my favorite coffee shops in all of the Houston and surrounding area. From the Japanese-inspired cafe and drinks, to the detail and care they put into their top quality coffee. If you haven't been, do yourself a favor and get yourself a cup of their coffee!

Kirsten, Nic and JD are so wonderful. They served me my coffee and matcha with so much love. It was great to just catch up here in a conversation setting-- it wasn't too loud. This is a great place to study and are a staple for the community. It is a wonderful corner unit with ample parking and tons of light. The bathrooms are also very clean which is a must for me and likely for you. Will visit again!

I feel like this place is a little bit overhyped. It does have its own special take on things and is a great hangout spot. It has lots of seating for being a coffee shop and it’s really cute. There’s a side longer, cubicles to get work done, long table, cozy seating, and patio seating. They have some different kinds of options like matcha based things. I got the Kenny’s cappuccino iced it is actually suppose to be hot but I wanted it iced and with oat milk. It was a little bitter at the bottom but I don’t think I would order that drink again. I would like to try their matcha drinks next time. Overall, the place is a great place to hang out and get work done. Coffee is okay and vibes are cute.

Finally gave this place a try after hearing many good things about this place. I tried going back in December but unfortunately wasn't able to as there wasn't any parking spots available. The park space is limited as it is small, gets packed easily, and some spots are reserved for the business in the same plaza. So I tried again on a weekday got lucky since it wasn't busy. The space is well lit up, has outdoor and indoor seating, and a great place to study by yourself. The staff were super friendly and nice along with giving they recommendations. I got the Moshi Moshi and The Tea Time (staff recommendation). The Moshi Moshi (7/10), I would have like there to be for matcha than espresso as the espresso was strong and hid the matcha flavor along with there being a strong banana flavor after which tasted out of place. The Tea Time (8.5/10), the peach espresso cold foam was delicious, next with the cold brew made it next level, and you can definitely taste the ginger. Overall a great place with unique drink and good quality matcha. Only downside is that parking is limited.

It’s a small, clean and cozy coffee/drinks shop. I came for the matcha, and was pleased with the quality and service at the shop. Most of the customers stayed to work or study, so it’s pretty quiet and chilled to enjoy the drinks. We had the matcha latte , matcha & sesame latte, and the Genmaicha. The drinks looked great and tasted good too.

Loved the different coffee options here from a typical coffee shop. The coffee itself was a bit too acidic for my liking. The staff was super friendly, took the time to answer questions. And the presentation is fantastic. Would come again and try something else.

I was excited to try Kohiko Coffee House and I am so glad I did — Their limited drinks are very creative and full of flavor. I wish the menu explained the taste profiles better because the flavors are so different than anything you get at a typical coffee shop, it’s hard to understand what you are ordering. My suggestion would be a menu that explains the limited drinks in a way where you can compare to someone most people have tried in a more traditional setting. They also offer the traditionals, like americano, cortado and espresso. We enjoyed the limited offering drink, Houjicoco. It was robust, sweet and nutty. The space has a large table where you can sit and work, individual cubbies, a living room style couch area and another small bench seating for two people. During peak hours, the place is packed. You should know that there is limited parking and many folks park along the street. The staff was very sweet and welcoming. The reasons for a 4-star rating is the smaller size drink, the lack of offering several sizes, and the limited explanation on the menu - I will, however, return to try other options.

Absolutely glad I found this place. It seems it is very popular spot as the line was out the door. The baristas are welcoming and very fast. I was out the door in no time. I tried the matcha this time around & it was quite strong. Ne t time ill ask for it to be sweeter. Overall, its a good spot to try!

They have the coffee shop and a few spots down another seating area for more space I get their ice matcha lattes Pretty good I felt the 2 I tried a little gritty but its still good. Just wish they offered more flavor options like lavender, jasmine or earl Grey Super cute stickers on the cups!

I don’t get the hype? I love the everything black sesame so I got the Okinawa latte. It was just ok. It’s also pretty pricey for it to be mostly ice and not even filled all the way. The parking lot is tight and so many spots designated for other businesses. Place was packed and they had plenty of seating outside and they have a lounge/workspace a few doors down.

i was not a fan of my order: matcha latte with oat milk and brown sugar. HOWEVER, i realize this may be because i enjoy sweet coffee/latte drinks. i can tell the matcha is high quality. it tasted nutty and earthy to me. my biggest complaint about the drink is that i paid $10 for more than 1/2 cup of ice (see photo). that feels disingenuous. even in the houston summer no one needs that much ice. i couldn’t imagine letting this drink sit for too long. otherwise, the service was kind and the aesthetic of the space is well designed. i do agree with another reviewer— the parking lot is not ideal. however, this was not an issue for me as there are 2 10-minute spots in front of the cafe.

The drinks here are genuinely great — really solid coffee and good flavor. That said, I had a frustrating experience. I ordered a cold brew with no ice because I didn’t want it to get watered down as I drank it. I get that removing ice means the cup won’t be as full, but what I didn’t expect was to get barely six ounces of cold brew in what looked like a much larger cup. I actually measured it when I got home because it seemed so little — and yep, six ounces. That’s honestly ridiculous for the price they charge. If removing ice means I get barely half a drink, I’d expect a heads-up at the counter or for them to adjust the pour to a reasonable amount. Other coffee shops in Houston (and Sugar Land) manage this way better. Also, their syrups are extremely inconsistent. Sometimes you can barely taste any flavor, and other times it’s perfect. It’s all over the place. They really need to start properly measuring or standardizing how much they use because it makes ordering your favorite drink kind of a gamble. Would love to keep coming back because the coffee itself is good — but they need to fix how they handle no-ice orders and get more consistent with their syrups.
