This is my parent’s favorite Japanese restaurant, and we’ve been coming here for years! The sashimi is always incredibly fresh and rich. We especially love the fried rice and yellowtail collar, which we order every time without fail. The atmosphere is cozy, and the service is consistently friendly and welcoming.

If you're a fan of top-quality sushi, Mori Ichi is an absolute must-visit! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and genuine smiles from the staff. The vibe of the place is relaxed yet refined—perfect for a casual night out or a more special dinner. I ordered the spicy tuna roll, eel roll, and a few pieces of sashimi—yellowtail, red snapper, and pepper tuna. Every single item was unbelievably fresh and bursting with flavor. The fish literally melted in my mouth. You can tell the chef takes real pride in the ingredients and presentation—it was like art on a plate. The spicy tuna roll had the perfect kick, the eel roll was rich and savory, and the sashimi… wow. The yellowtail was buttery, the red snapper had a clean finish, and the pepper tuna was perfectly seasoned. The chef even came out to check in, and the staff made sure I felt completely taken care of. That kind of personal touch goes a long way! Hands down one of the best sushi experiences I’ve had in a long time. I'll definitely be coming back and bringing friends with me next time! 5 stars all the way! Fresh fish, great vibes, amazing service—Mori Ichi is the real deal! Highly recommend! Sushi dreams do come true here! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🍣🔥🙌🏻✨

The food was delicious!! Fresh, came out quickly , served with cheer. We sat outside with our pup and the waitress brought us a bowl of water for our dog. Ate Miso.soup, steamed chicken dumplings ( we shared with our pup) crab sushi, and teriyaki beef. Will return.

Quiet ambience small place and nice chef. Sushi comes out very quickly and you can tell it’s very fresh and made by professional. Soba Noodle: 9/10 . Nice and cold and fresh would get again Shrimp fried rice : 9/10 exactly what you want in a fried rice The prices are way more affordable than keepers

We used to be regulars at Aki steak and sushi but going forward this is the new spot. The service is excellent. The food is delicious and the portion sizes are great. In my opinion, this is the best sushi restaurant in the area.

This spot has slowly become the family's Sushi go-to in Sugar Land. It's close to home, the food is always fresh and consistent, Wait Staff is very friendly and accommodating and most importantly, the kiddos like it! We used to always go to Keeper's, but ever since we found this little gem, we've been eating here more often. We still eat at Keeper's, on the opposite end of the Strip, but it's not automatic like before. This small, quaint spot is always busy but there's never a wait. The longest we've ever waited was maybe 10 min. There's no more than 25 tables at most including the Bar. I like that because everyone gets friendly, attentive service from the staff. There's no getting weeded here because there's always more than enough Servers. The restaurant is always clean, they pre-bus very well and the atmosphere is kid friendly... as for Parking, plenty! If you're in the area I'd definitely give it a go if you're a Sushi lover. The only reason I gave 4☆'s is because of the Baked Mussels. They're good but they're served whole and not chopped like the other spots we dine at. I guess it's just me being picky but I prefer them that way over whole all day long. Anyways, it's not a deal breaker. We'll continue to dine here and encourage everyone else to as well🙂

For an AYCE Sushi Restaurant this place scored high in all areas. Very friendly and helpful wait staff, food presentation was excellent, great tasting sashimi and sushi, and lots of delicious items to choose from. If you’ve had a bad experience with other all you can eat sushi places, this place will change your mind. We came on Sunday and the offered the Sunday lunch menu, we knew about the AYCE Dinner menu so we chose it. $30.95 for dinner. Well worth it. We will be back.

The restaurant is small and clean. Food was pretty decent for the price. They have lunch menu which is good value. Service was good and fast. Chirashi don was a small bowl. The katsu don was a good size. Lotsa meat and rice.

I’ve been coming here with my parents for over 10 years now. It’s definitely our #1 favorite place to eat in Houston as the food is always consistently delicious! Highly recommend the love boat, crunch roll, & miso soup. The sashimi is always really fresh! All of the dragon rolls are also very yummy. Definitely try them all! The server was also very attentive & she made sure that our cups were full of green tea. I also like the cozy booths and the beautiful decorations. I love this place & I have so many great memories here :)

The sushi here is good, and there are also good bentos, making this a great place for groups who have people who don't like sushi. My favorite item here has to be the sake don, which comes with a generous portion of salmon! I mean, if you love salmon like me, and quality isn't your biggest concern, then it's a no-brainer. I'm not saying it's of low quality. It's comparable to most sushi places around, but obviously not the same as paying $$$. This is probably my favorite sushi restaurant in Sugar Land, especially since I love raw salmon.

Customer service was exceptional, my server was so sweet in explaining the menu. Sushi was phenomenal - I got the spider but no fish eggs / added cream cheese :-) The appetizer of teriyaki chicken, shrimp, and beef - I WOULD NOT recommend the beef skewer. The beef is inedible, really just fat or something I have no idea. Shrimp was great and chicken was alright. I love teriyaki sauce but was not the biggest fan of theirs. Very very strong flavor in this sauce.

The beef Teriyaki was 50% gristle. Which would have been fine had the price been lower and they labeled the dish beef and gristle teriyaki. The waitress was incredibly rude and completely unwilling to take any criticism whatsoever. Will never go back.

Go to KEEPERS! The last two trips were a disaster. Used to eat here frequently. Ordered at the Sushi Bar. Waited and waited while observing the chef (owner) preparing food. WHOA, realized he received and prepared two large orders from different tables that came in after I. The next time I ordered in advance via phone. Told 20 minutes. Arrived. Order not ready. Once again, he took and prepared orders while I waited. Is this a racial bias? Well, this time I got food poisoned. There will not be a fool me 3 times!

Looks pretty and tastes horrible. This was the worst shrimp fried rice I ever had. For 14.00 just take it off the menu. You need a telescope 🔭 to find the shrimp. The pack it with a pound of green onion. Its so bland. The peas were frozen inside. It was so gross. I had to add seasoning to try to salvage it. I ordered to go and picked it up. They gave me 20 min wait time to pick it up so it should've been cooked properly even if it was bland at minimum it should've been fresh and not frozen peas. Who has time to pick all those frozen peas out? 😒 Never order the shrimp fried rice here. There are other resteraunts in the same shopping strip that have large shrimp in the rice for less money and tastes way better. What a waste of money and time.
