My husband and I came here not realizing Astoria Grills’ grand opening was only a few days ago. The atmosphere is classy but comfortable at the same time. Red snapper was delicious! Our server Nathanial was excellent! We definitely will dine in again soon!

Highly recommend Astoria Grill if you're in the mood for an authentic Italian dining experience! My husband and I enjoyed the calamari, garlic bread (omg, YUM), Astoria soup, diver scallops & the Prime sirloin. The food was fresh and flavorful, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole meal feel special and the experience very comfortable. Pride in ownership is evident through every detail. Bravo, Astoria Grill -- we will be back soon!! <3
Wow, this place did not disappoint! Everything from the time we walked through the door was perfect. Our food and drinks were exceptional and the best garlic bread I've ever had in my life, you have to try the garlic bread it's to die for! Service was great and they really make you feel like family here, we will most definitely be back!
Been meaning to share this since we went last week during their first few days of being open; My girlfriend and I went to Astoria to celebrate her birthday last Friday and they were sweet enough to leave a little card on the table for her in commemoration! We had Chloe as a server when we went, and we'd love to have her again, she was very nice and personable, (which is easily one of the more important things to us when we go out) she made great recommendations and provided us with excellent service for how slammed they were that day. I will say that they definitely got a little backed up the day that we went, which it being their first week open is perfectly reasonable. I understand you need to work out the kinks while you're in the action. While we got our food later than what we would have wished the quality not spared by any means. I'm so glad that the chef on duty is more focused on getting the food out the way it ought to be than just falling under the pressure of being swamped and putting out subpar dishes. The care in the food shows and that's more important than anything to me! The manager also came around to apologize for the wait, and gave us a dessert dish on him which is always appreciated. We'll be back soon and hope to see all the kinks worked out and have a wonderful time once more!
Our server Chloe was amazing, once I told her that I was allergic to pepper she communicated it to the chef & they made sure I had sides pepper free, and Chloe was also courteous and very professional and we would enjoy having her in the future.
Astoria Grill Alexander Pierce meets Carrabba’s Italian Grill; we’ve been waiting for this restaurant to open for some time, it was worth the wait. Seems like they kept a good portion of the Brown Derby’s infrastructure but gave it a bit of a facelift. The atmosphere is more casual than AP and the prices more in line with the Grill concept. The service was outstanding and we were greeted by the manager twice, very nice touch. Calamari appetizer was very nice, crispy coating and tender pieces, the marinara was good but the jalapeño sauce was bold, good but spicy. They serve bread with the salad, my only suggestion would be herbed olive oil in a bowl, not on the bread, it makes for greasy fingers trying to pull apart the bread. Otherwise, it’s quite good. The filet we got was outstanding, my wife’s comment, “one of the best steaks I’ve ever had in a restaurant” a perfect med rare and seasoned very nicely. Risotto was spot on with a nice al dente texture and cheesy flavor. Carbonara was very decadent, good flavors and hefty portion. We finished with tiramisu, again, very nice, absolutely no complaints. We’ll be back, it’s nice, affordable and great date night kinda place.
The food & atmosphere are amazing here! Our server Chloe was so attentive, gave great recommendations, & so nice. She made the whole night that much better! Highly recommend this place!!!
Astoria Grill in Jackson Township is a great local spot. It's a family-owned restaurant where you can really feel the care they put into everything. The food is always fresh and tastes amazing, with a lot of flavor in every dish. The service is top-notch too. The staff is super friendly and makes sure you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. They go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy good food and even better service, Astoria Grill is definitely worth checking out! Made sure you make a reservation on OpenTable that way you do not have to wait in line.
Decided to try this place out for my Birthday dinner this year, wasn’t disappointed! Rebecca, our server, was TOP NOTCH. Very friendly, responsive, and honestly made the whole night! Their drinks were great, and the food was even better. We started with an order of Calamari that was delicious, love the pineapple sauce. We both got strip steaks, risotto as my side and fettuccine alfredo for my wife. It was all phenomenal. We didn’t save room for dessert, but we will be back!
Service was great! Food and drinks were awesome. We had the maple old fashioned smoked. It was very good. Had the stuffed Italian peppers for apps and it started off with a bang. They were really good and continued to be great from the wood fired pizza. Definitely will be back.
Went here last night for date night and the entire experience from beginning to end was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment you walk in the staff is very welcoming and friendly. We had a reservation and were immediately seated. Our servers were Daria and Nick and they were both very attentive the whole night. They did a great job answering any questions we had regarding the menu and made helpful suggestions. For our appetizer we got the calamari and it was cooked perfectly, the pineapple jalapeño dipping sauce to pair with it was delicious. I got the wild mushroom pizza and my boyfriend got the lasagna with the meat bolognese. I left with some pizza to take home but he completely cleaned his plate and said it was some of the best lasagna he’s ever had. Our drinks were also spot on. They have a lovely beautiful atmosphere, not too dark to dine in, just right. I was also impressed with the cleanliness. This is 1,000% a great place to come for a date night, a birthday or any celebration as well as just because. Truly a wonderful experience and cannot wait to come again and support them with our business.
Hubby and I tried this place tonight and it did not disappoint. From the minute we walked in the door we were greeted promptly with a smile. Our server Nick was great, answered all our questions and was attentive. Hubby ordered steak, I ordered pasta. Drinks were amazing and desserts were on point. Will definitely be coming back. Canton needs more places like this.
me and my boyfriend got dinner and my server Chloe was AMAZING. very attentive and checked back on my table to always make sure everything was perfect. the food was also so good i will definitely be back soon!
I love this place!! My family and I have come here twice now and I was so pleased with this restaurant. We finally have some NYC Italian eats in our own backyard! The first time we went the weight staff was a little all over the place, but they were really friendly and I still enjoyed their service. The second time going our server was incredibly kind and very attentive. The food here is quite good. The first time I went I got chicken piccata and I have had this dish many times before from many different restaurants-this one was delicious but could've had even a little more flavor. I was still impressed by the bread, salad, and calamari. It all had great flavor. Everything that was supposed to come out hot did. The second time I got Aglio E Olio which I have never had before. WOW that is the best pasta I have EVER had. It was surprisingly spicy to me, but in a tasteful way. It is not a saucy pasta but had more flavor then I think saucy pastas do. I ordered chicken with it and it took me back to when I was a kid and I would get grilled chicken from restaurants and it would have that classic grill flavor that was so good. I was very pleased with this dish. The portion sizes for some of the pastas are just HUGE. Which is awesome!! The atmosphere is great. As someone who has traveled to NYC quite a few times- this place does a great job at capturing that NYC fancy dining experience. They even have the lights at each table that you tap to turn on!! And the gm is always coming around and being very friendly. He complemented my family last night and it was very sweet. I can't wait to go back and try more flavors.
Great food the hot peppers were very well made. Service was fast. Great food choices the steak was very good.
Husband and I went there for dinner and everything was amazing. He got a steak and I ordered the red snapper. Steak was cooked to order and my fish was absolutely delicious! The waiter was attentive and polite. We each had 4 alcoholic drinks also. The price is comparable to any other upscale restaurant in the area. We will return!
Everything was amazing, my short rib was super tender and my wifes chicken fettuccine Alfredo was 'the best she has ever had'. Chloe was super awesome and attentive. Also got a shrimp cocktail that was really good!
Ask for Jake! He's always great! We have never had anything but great service and great food there!
My wife and I dined here Thursday night and everything was amazing. Our waitress was Chloe. She was great. We had the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer which was the perfect size for 2 people. My wife had the class and linguine and I had the 14 Oz delmonico with chef's risotto. We will definitely be back
My husband and I went here for a date night, and it was great. The staff was very attentive, polite, and kind. Our server was Cass and she was great. We had the calamari appetizer and it was so good. My main dish was the carbonara pasta, and it reminded me of the dishes we've enjoyed in Europe. My husband had the chicken pigatta and I thought he was going to fall over after his 1st bite. He couldn't stop saying how good it was. The bottle of wine we had was delightful and the espresso dessert was a hit. We are already planning our return with some friends. Such a rarity to find a place that checks all the boxes.
Astoria Grill has truly set a new standard in North Canton! Finally, we have a go-to steakhouse and Italian restaurant that’s worth every bit of the hype. The steaks are impeccably prepared, and the appetizers are just as impressive. Their salad was off the charts—fresh, flavorful, and unlike anything you’d expect! Nick and Emily have hit a home run here, and we’re thrilled to add Astoria Grill to our list of favorite spots. This is definitely a place we’ll be returning to again and again. Highly recommend!
We were a table of 7 ladies and every single one of us loved the food! The short rib is a stand out. Nathaniel was our server and he was so friendly and attentive. We all will be back again soon to try something else off their outstanding menu.
Put Astoria Grill on your date night list! We sat at the bar for a midweek happy hour and had such a pleasant experience! Delicious drinks & small bites paired with friendly & attentive staff. Shout out to Lexxie & James for taking such great care! We’ll be back ❤️
Lexxie & James were delightful kids! I HIGHLY recommend the Restaurant and the fine service you will get from these two! Great Job Astoria Grill!
We dined here for our first time on Saturday during Valentines Day Weekend. The service was exceptional from the moment we walked through the doors until we left. Our server, Nathanial, was very knowledgeable, kind and attentive, we will definitely ask for him on our next visit. All of our food was amazing and cooked to perfection. We got the charcuterie appetizer, The Astoria Lobster Pasta Special, the 14 oz NY Strip Steak, and the Red Velvet Cheese Cake special, which we also took home two to share because it was so good. The Strip Steak was the best my husband and I have ever had. We would not hesitate to order any of our same meals again, because we will definitely be back. Thank you for a great evening with great food!
The staff went above and beyond to provide an amazing experience for our group celebrating a birthday. The food was incredible and the menu offered a variety of options. The scallops were delicious! Our family is from NY and the atmosphere made us feel like we were right back there. The service, restaurant atmosphere and experience overall was perfect!
The entire evening was amazing. Celebrating my birthday with family was amazing. The staff was attentive, the owner chatted with us about the origin of the menu...being from NY we know this place took food to heart. They offer several authentic Italian selections. Desserts and cocktail are delicious. A must to put on your travel itinerary if going to the NFL Hall of Fame.
What an atmosphere!!! Upscale, pricey, absolutely delicious food. I don't mind paying higher prices for food this good! We will definitely be back! Kylie was a great, attentive, friendly server and the manager was very friendly and eager to make sure everything was perfect.
First time going and we were very impressed! Astoria Grill delivers a fantastic dining experience with a New York City-style atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a great meal. The ambiance is classy yet comfortable, with just the right touch of big-city charm. From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. We started with the garlic bread, which was perfectly toasted with a rich garlic butter flavor—simple but done exceptionally well. For the main course, we had the steak dinner, and it did not disappoint. The steak was cooked exactly to our preference, tender, and full of flavor. The sides complemented the meal perfectly, rounding out an excellent dining experience. Overall, Astoria Grill is a place worth visiting for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and an atmosphere that transports you straight to NYC. Highly recommended!
My husband and I celebrated a birthday at Astoria Grill and couldn’t have been more pleased. The restaurant was clean, quiet and the service was top notch. The background music was pleasant and not overpowering. I highly recommend the short rib dinner, which was tasty and tender. My husband had the porterhouse steak. It was so big he couldn’t eat it all. It was cooked to perfection. We took our desserts to go. The chocolate torte was fudgy with a delicious cream sauce. The tiramisu was also very good. Since both of us had to avoid alcoholic drinks tonight, we were quite pleased that the menu included nonalcoholic beverage choices. We will definitely plan to return to the Astoria Grill. I’m looking forward to trying their Italian dishes, especially the lasagna.
First time here and I will definitely be back next time I’m in town!! I had the Parmesan chicken and pasta and everything from the quality of the chicken to the breading and the sauce on pasta was fantastic! The service was great also, James my server and the other staff did a great job!! See you soon!
Service was great! Kylie was our server and she was incredibly friendly and attentive. Food was fantastic! I had the filet, which was one of the better steaks I’ve had in a while in this area. Atmosphere was a nice dining experience. Suggestion to update seating. Also, they do have a kids menu which I could not find online.
From the call to make a reservation, to service, food, atmosphere, running into old friends, meeting new ones this was by far the most enjoyable date night. Everyone was so personable and with a smile so refreshing. Thank you Emily, Nick, James, Leslie and Kylie we will for certain be back! Cheers, Kevin & Carla Ice
First time trying. We had the bruschetta as an appetizer. My wife had the chicken parmesean and I had a filet, everything was very good.
Recently went there for dinner. The food was splendid. Really happy with our experience and the service was immaculate. The server Chris was wonderful.
Sorry for the long review but I had to write about this amazing place. This was me and my husbands first time in Canton and from the moment we were greeted at Astoria Grill, it was clear we were in good hands—especially thanks to the host staff and our server, Jacob. His warmth, attentiveness, and genuine enthusiasm added a personal touch that elevated the whole evening. It wasn’t just great service—it felt like hospitality at its finest. The setting was cozy yet elegant, with that old-school charm that makes you want to linger over a glass of wine. The menu? A celebration of comfort and flavor. We ordered a mushroom pizza that came out with a perfect crisp, smoky and rich, and the pasta tasted like something passed down through generations. My husband got the 6 oz filet steak… let’s just say he’s been thinking about it ever since. Perfectly cooked, seasoned with care, and served with pride. Jacob was a joy tho—checking in at just the right times, offering thoughtful recommendations, and making us feel truly welcome. It’s rare to find a server who makes you feel like the evening is tailored just for you, but he did exactly that and made me feel like an old friend rather than just a guest. Astoria Grill isn’t just a great meal—it’s a full experience, one that lingers in your memory like a favorite song.
Enjoyed our dinners and had excellent service. Portions were large, bread was served warm and they had my favorite white French dressing for the salad. Our server was attentive and did an excellent job. The manager stopped by to ask if we liked our meals, which is always appreciated. Definitely plan on going back again.
We had a wonderful evening at Arcadia Grill. We were looking for a relaxing atmosphere and a good meal and Arcadia Grill has is all. A quiet and refined atmosphere, elegant decor, and attentive service greeted us as we entered. Service was expert and unobtrusive. Our food and drinks came quickly. We had the chicken piccata and short ribs and both were prepared to perfection. What a great find! I wish we had known about it sooner; we’ll be back.
Food was great....but our server was above and beyond. The best service we have had from here to Cleveland..thank you Chloe! If you go there for dinner make sure you request her. She's the best!
I went there for the first time with my wife and 3 other couples a few weeks ago and it was fabulous! I cook a lot, and very critical of dishes that I make often, especially Italian, that said, the stuffed peppers and chicken parm, were some of the best I've ever had, or made. Everyone in our group, had nothing but great things to say about their meal. If you haven't tried it, you need to.
We had an amazing time on Valentines day at Astoria. The food was beyond delicious.. Our server was very friendly and attentive. This was our 3rd visit. We will definitely be back.
How is this only rated 4.5 stars. Awsome service- food was exceptional. If you ask for a medium porterhouse pork chop they will cook it right! Risotto 👨🍳
First time here and definitely will be back. 4/4 of my family members enjoyed this place. Friendly staff( shout out to Tara-server and also the manager who checked on us.). Service was great! Food was delicious- Good variety of menu choices . Atmosphere was relaxing! Recommend for any occasion. New family favorite for us.
We love this place! Great service by James, very attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Food is always great. French Onion soup is one of our favs! Always consistently good food & service!
My boyfriend and I went there and our server James was amazing it was our first time there and explained the menu very well. The service was excellent the best I’ve seen in awhile. The food was amazing. The atmosphere is very welcoming. We will definitely be back !!
We tried Astoria Grill for the first time last evening. My wife ordered a steak and I tried a shrimp pasta dish and we were both very pleased with the taste of the dishes and the portion sizes. The whipped potatoes were delicious. The prices seem like a good value for the quality of the dishes, we're putting this restaurant into our rotation. I'm looking forward to trying the pizza during our next visit, it smelled wonderful.
Absolutely the best steak I've ever had in my life!! I am almost 60 years old and have been in the food industry for most of my life... And when I say this Delmonico steak was absolutely the BEST I mean it! I had to go back and meet the chef, Britney, to thank her personally and give her a small gratuity. I don't know what she did to it but it was AMAZING ♥️
First time eating here and everything from the food, service, and atmosphere are top notch! Our server was fantastic! Entrees super delicious and dessert yummy. Will definitely be back.
We had a great dinner here celebrating my husband’s birthday! Our server, Josh, was fantastic. Very friendly and attentive! The calamari was delicious, especially with the pineapple sauce. We both had the chicken parmesan, and it was also delicious! The complimentary bread was a nice touch, though I’d love a little more garlic on it. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back!
Me and my boyfriend went here for Valentine’s day and it was absolutely amazing. They had a live singer and he was so good. We sat right by him, and the music level was perfect. I can’t remember our servers name, but he had glasses with blue frames with short black hair. He is the best server I think I have ever had at a restaurant. His service and personality were extraordinary. He made our experience amazing. This was our first time coming, and it is safe to say we will be coming back!! The food was very good and presented so well. All of the staff were so friendly. I got the house salad and it was very good and pretty large. He got the 9 oz steak and loved it. The bread they brought out was warm and fresh. Both of our desserts were very good as well. Our appetizer was good as well. He loved it, but I thought the onion was a little over powering. Everything about this place was so good, and I can’t wait to do back again!!!
Astoria is a delicious high end experience. From entering the building, to the waiter chatting with us about Chef's specials to the unique drinks on the menu, all very professional and friendly staff. The calamari was delicious, especially the pineapple jalepeno dip. I had the Astoria Pigatta, it was phenomenal! The whipped Italian potatoes, blistered tomatoes, artichoke hearts, chicken, and amazing sauce was worth every dollar. My husband had a 10 oz steak and he said it was one of the steaks he has had! The dessert menu also looked absolutely delectable, unfortunately we were full, so didn't try any.
We had the meatball appetizer with a side of bruechette and for the main meal the Chicken Piccata. Wow! The food was wonderful and the service from Chris was Great. The atmosphere was almost perfect in the noise level was little. No need to shout. What a perfect way to celebrate my birthday…
First time and we were celebrating our Anniversary 32 years! Our server Chloe was very good server! But let we back up! Was greeted as soon as we walked in ! During our Meal, we were checked on several times! I had a cucumber mocktail and my husband had the lemon spritz, both were delicious! The French onion soup was very good and our meatball appetizer! They serve fresh hot mini loaf of bread with our Salad! I had the wedge salad and my entree was stuffed eggplant , my husband had Lasagna, we will be planning a family gathering soon for dinner! Thank you Chloe
I can’t wait to tell you about my meat. I mean their meat. I mean this INSANELY AMAZING 9oz FILET!!! All jokes aside, I haven’t had a steak this excellent in a long time. It was my first time there even though I knew it would be amazing as I’ve been to Alexander pierce (also 5 stars). The whipped potatoes were reallyyy good to passenger the steak. You definitely get what you pay for, there is no catch. Just truth. The atmosphere has a nice duality of a bar and restaurant combo. There was some really cool fogging smoke decoration behind my head too, not sure what it was; but it was cool as heck. The service was champagne toast worthy as well. I was with a bigger group which can be challenging sometimes for sure, and they did so without error. Also, can never pass a complimentary doodle session !
We have been here several times. Each time we were happy to have chosen the Astoria Grill. The table was waiting for us at the appointed time of our reservation. The room was nicely decorated, warm and inviting on a cold winter night. Our server was pompt, knowledgeable. She was a little scarce at the end of meal. I had the onion soup rather than a salad. I was, however, not informed that this choice had an additional charge of $5.50.The broth and onions were tasty. We also had an order of garlic bread that all four of us shared. That was tasty was well. My entre was the lasagna. It was quite good and a very large portion. I had previously had the short ribs which were good as well. Coffee and cheese cake to finish the meal was excellent as well. The server was slow in taking our credit card and returning it. Also, the manager stopped by to see if we were happy with the meal. We were. All in all, were had a very pleasant dining experience. We'll be back.
First time here and still looked a lot like the old Brown Derby, not a lot changed inside. I had reservations at 6 o’clock and as soon as we got there, we did get seated immediately. Everyone was very friendly. The service was very good. The manager did walk around asking if everyone was OK and if they enjoyed their meals. I got the short rib and it was very good with whipped potatoes and carrots. One guest got the lasagna and it was a large portion size, which is great. Another guest got prime rib, cooked medium and it did come out perfect no steak sauce needed. Lastly, another guest got the chicken Parmesan, which he said was good but could use a little bit more flavor. Most of the food was hot, but the soup was warm not hot. Make sure to ask for bread that way you have some bread to eat with your soup or while you are waiting on meals, they did not serve bread, we did have to ask for it. We did not have to wait too long on meals. Overall, the experience was great and we will be back to try more food on the menu.
Second best Tiramisu I've had. #1 is Gervasi for me only because they put chocolate shavings and a strawberry on top of theirs. The Seafood pasta was really delicious, but the sauce was looser than I'm anticipating. I think it was a white wine/tomato sauce combo and it was delicious. I want to come back and try more from the menu, my buddy got the Haddock and he said his was killer. Their house White French was one of the better dressings I've had. I also loved the free bread. Clocked in at just under $50/head before tip. Shout out to Jake for being a great server.
2025. 5. 9 we went here to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Everything was amazing. Foods, workers, vibes …all great !!! And one of the dishes was too salty, we told the worker Nick , he was so polite and fixed the problem with chef , when the food back , totally no problem 😍😍😍 the owner is really lucky to have a lot of good workers. I have to say , we will come back again. 🥰 The worker just told us that they updated their menu a few days ago. So hope my pictures r helped .😍
A wonderful evening of great atmosphere, attentive staff and delicious food. Highly recommend! Husband enjoyed Chicken Parmesan and I decided on Clam Linguine! We both had petite salads that came with the meal and delicious homemade bread. I also ordered a side of French Onion Soup. Everything was great! Will definitely return soon. A nice restaurant addition to Canton Ohio.
First time visiting. We will definitely be back. Great food, too much - didn't leave room desert (maybe next time). Our server was Rae - excellent, helpful, responsive, exactly what you need.
Absolutely 100/100!!!! Had an amazing experience, and the ambiance was incredible. Definitely will be retuning!

We were invited to the soft opening and it was wonderful. Really cool atmosphere, great service and excellent food! We had the bruschetta, clam linguine, the scallops and some dessert cocktails. Highly recommend. We will definitely be going back!
Our first time at Astoria Grill and we were not disappointed. Everything from the atmosphere, the food and Lexxie our server was excellent. The pepper and sausage appetizer was one of the better ones that we ever had, the lasagna will feed us again tomorrow as it was really large, And the walleye excellent. We will definitely be back again soon. Also the beer was cold! Great place to have an enjoyable meal and evening.
We had a wonderful 1st time visit and fantastic meals at Astoria Grill in Canton on Saturday evening. We will definitely be returning customers. Thank You! Most of All I want to share our experience with our Waiter, Chris. He was so Spectacular, Very attentive, personable and friendly. He made our experience at Astoria Grill an excellent one. Thank You!!! Deb Morrison
We ordered the jumbo shrimp cocktail and Italian peppers appetizers. Both were absolutely delicious the shrimp was very fresh and was actually jumbo. We ordered the short ribs and the seafood pasta for dinner. The short ribs were cooked to perfection and the seafood pasta seemed to be a homemade pasta and was fresh and delicious! Chocolate truffle tort w raspberry sauce for dessert did not disappoint! Chris was our waiter and was very attentive and did a great job! This was our first time here and definitely won’t be our last!
We have visited Astoria Grill twice. The moment you walk in the door you are greeted and welcomed by their great staff. They all look so elegant and attend to all your needs with sincerity and professionalism. The ambiance of the dining room only adds to the experience. Then comes the food......both times we have been at Astoria it has been wonderful. My husband and I have experienced their seafood, steak and pasta dishes. Highly recommend all. Please don't change....we will be back again and again.
Last night was easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth, and the ambiance struck the perfect balance of upscale and comfortable. I came with a group of friends, we like to try different places, and we were treated to service and food that went above and beyond. Our servers, Jake and Chris, were fantastic. Jake answered every single question with such knowledge and passion that you’d swear he wrote the menu himself. Chris was equally attentive—bubbly, friendly, and always making sure we had everything we needed, ask for them if you can you won’t be disappointed. And the food… oh my goodness. I wanted to kiss the chef—it was that good. I ordered the walleye along with some calamari, and both dishes were absolutely unforgettable. This was my first visit, but they’ve already earned a loyal patron for life. My advice: if you’re searching for the perfect spot, this is it. Truly better than many of the local places I’ve tried.
Great food and service. Steak cooked perfectly. Excellent Walleye. Husband said best he has ever had. Hostesses were very friendly and our server James was very helpful and knowledgeable. The atmosphere on the bar side is what you would expect but not overly noisy, and although the restaurant has upscale food and service it was comfortably casual. I would recommend reservations, especially if you want a booth, but were able to walk in on a Friday and get a two-top in the bar.

I wish we had known about it sooner; we’ll be back.

dinner was excellent, service was very good...food prices are reasonable..but $15 for a glass of wine is way over priced
Enjoyed our first visit to Astoria Grill. Best white French salad dressing ever! Portions are generous and the staff is so professional. We will be back.
Ate here first time for dinner. Food was mid-grade. Service was average and atmosphere was run of the mill. No bad experiences, but room for improvement. Details: Host was polite but not service oriented. He refused my request for an end booth, although there was only one other party in the restaurant and it was before 5pm. Server was very friendly and professional. Very prompt and attentive. Restaurant is crammed. People have to walk single file and weave through the restaurant. This led to a very crowded feel as the dinner rush came in. I had the filet and it was cooked correctly and tender, but poor grade of meat. Fairly flavorless. My wife had a dinner salads with grilled chicken. She enjoyed it. Overall I’d give this 3.5 stars, but had to round up to 4 since google only does while stars.
First time eating here and the food was phenomenal! They were out of a few items on the menu, but had what I ordered. Nat was our server and she was knowledgeable and very nice. We'll definitely be going back to try some other items on the menu.
We visited back in March right when they opened on a Saturday and all the food we ordered was good and the server was very attentive. Espresso Martini and Tiramisu was good as well. Wife did not like the sauce on the spaghetti but that might just be personal preference. We would visit again but there was no kids menu so there is a limit on the times we can visit.
We just spent $63.00 at Astoria in Canton for two terrible Pizzas at $18 each and an order of Chicken Parm at $27. This was ordered to go. The Pizzas lacked both sauce and cheese, and the Chicken Parm was burnt. See pictures. Food like this should never be let out the door. Someone is not managing this place. At $63 for this type of food is a crime. UPDATE 12-13-2025 We received a Gift Card in the mail after the Manager reached out to us and apologized for our experience. I’m happy to upgrade my original review as we returned, dined in, and the food was GREAT! I again got the Pizza and my wife got the Chicken Piccata. Both were picture perfect and cooked to perfection. Service (Kylie) was professional and attentive. We love the atmosphere in there. We will be back again! Thank you,
We had a reservation for 4 at 5:00. The restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived, yet they seated us at a booth in the bar, (totally different atmosphere). I requested to move to the beautiful dining room, which they accommodated. The food and service was wonderful! The only uncomfortable thing was… before the dining room filled up, the waiters and waitresses line up against the wall by the kitchen, right behind our table. They just stood there watching and staring at us and the empty tables. It felt very weird. We would definitely return for another visit. The signature drink was delicious!

Steak came out at room temp and was a tough cut for a strip. Mashed potatoes were recommended by our server and they were very dry.
Stopped here for the first time last night. Service was good, however when it came to the food we were underwhelmed. I had the Chicken Parm which was well cooked, but flavor was lacking. I would say it was a little better than average. The sauce on the spaghetti was just a light coating, with little flavor, and not good. My wife had the spaghetti and meatballs, and the meatballs are really good and were the best thing we had. It's just unfortunate the spaghetti and sauce brought the overall plate down. Overall, we were pretty disappointed and will not be returning. There are better options in the area for the same or cheaper price.
The reason for my low score review is because of the entree I received. I ordered lasagna with meat sauce. The entree description listed that it had spinach in it. This is fine most lasagna dishes have spinach in them. But what I received was more like spinach lasagna. It felt more like I was eating a spinach salad that somebody placed a lasagna noodle on top with some cheese and meat sauce. I had about four bites and that was all I could take. My date ordered the chicken parmesan. It was very good. Two big thick chicken breast that were cooked perfectly. Also ordered a margarita. It was a bit on the skimpy side and way too strong. My date ordered for dessert a coffee drink that had ice cream in it. It was different but tasted good. I will say the dressing on my Caesar salad was excellent. All of the staff members that I interacted with were excellent and friendly. Towards the end of our meal the manager came over and asked how our dinner was. If I had not been on a date I would have complained about the lasagna. I did not want to embarrass her. The building they are in is the old Brown Derby. Other than a bunch of wine bottles in the entryway they really haven't changed its appearance. I did bring the lasagna home as a leftover and a few days later tried to pass it off to one of my friends. They also could not eat it because it was more salad than pasta. I wish I had taken a photo of the entree because it's appearance was more green and salad like in appearance then any lasagna dish I've ever encountered. If this is how there cook makes lasagna it should be listed on the menu as spinach lasagna. There was more spinach in my entree than any other ingredient. In the end this leftover ended up being thrown away. Menu pricing seem to be fair for what it is. If I ever end up back in this restaurant I will try the pizza.
We were the first to arrive in the place and were immediately seated in the bar area. Apparently, the main dining room was closed. Our waiter droned on and on trying to sell us everything under the sun. I finally stopped him and asked if I could just tell him what I wanted. I proceeded to order the 14 oz Strip Steak. I asked for sauteed onions and mushrooms on my steak. Since they don’t have baked potatoes, asked for a side of spaghetti. I was offered aglio and olio or bolognese, and chose bolognese. I also asked for a caeser salad instead of the house salad, which I had. I expected a slight up charge for the mushrooms and onions and possibly the Caesar salad. Here is how it ended up: over $12 for the onions and mushrooms, $6 for the bolognese sauce on my side of spaghetti, and over $4 for the Caesar salad. My $42 steak was $65 plus tax and tip. I spent $80 on one meal. The steak was delicious, and the spaghetti and salad were mid. The bread was obviously frozen and tasted as so. I went to Longhorn yesterday and got a perfectly cooked 12 oz strip, loaded baked potato, Caesar salad, bread, onions and mushrooms, and red carpet service from Scott for $32 plus tax and a $10 tip. I much prefer Longhorn.
Friends of ours took us out to dinner here for the first time. The atmosphere is very nice and welcoming. The serving staff is good. They do have plate runners. Beers and cocktails were higher priced than other places I have visited. Our dinners were good, but nothing that would stand out. Two plates were lukewarm. You will be a charge for anything you ask different to your drink. $2 to have your old fashion smoked. Just to give you a heads up you will be service charged 3% for every line item.
First time there, last time there, won’t go back. For the money you spend on the food the quality should be better and it’s not. There’s a reason why they’ve already changed their menu and they’ve only been open a year If the quality stays the same, they won’t be open another year At those prices, everything should be fresh There are other places I can go and spend less money for two people and get a better meal I tipped the server well because his service was good. Had I tipped him based on the food he would’ve got nothing.

Where do I begin? I had high hopes of a delicious, exceptional dinner. Sadly, I was grossly underwhelmed and disappointed. Our waitress was wonderful, and her attentiveness to us was top notch! I believe her name was Tara! My review should not negatively reflect her at all. The atmosphere is cozy, but they definitely did not replace the sinking booth seats from the Brown Derby days! I had the French onion soup and garlic bread for starters. The soup was subpar and lacked overall flavor, and had very few onions, and the cheese topping wasn’t char-broiled. The marinara sauce for the garlic bread was oddly acidic and tasted more like salsa than marinara. The salad was average. The mushrooms for the steak topper were cold and not cooked!! The filet was fair, but dry. It took them an extended amount of time for our steaks to be brought out. The whipped mashed potatoes, as my side, were actually delicious. Additionally, we paid roughly the same amount (and we had multiple alcohol drinks) as we did at Lucia’s Steakhouse. Word of advice, skip this place and head to Lucia’s. Overall all, 2/10. Will not be returning. Edit to add, since the owner doesn’t know how to take collective criticism here is my response to him: I don’t think stopping the kitchen to rewrite the recipes on the menu, on the spot, or asking them to rip out the booth seats would have helped the situation. I was always taught to be truthful. Should I lie to stroke someone’s ego? Absolutely not. Being an overindulged adult isn’t a good look. I am just saving others the trouble of wasting their time and money! Thanks for offering Lucia’s number, but it’s already saved. Have the day you deserve.
went here with a large party and was extremely disappointed! considering how much positive feedback this place has received, we were let down. our party didnt get our food until an hour later, and it wasn’t that busy.. the food was mediocre, bland, and cold. the appetizers were just okay. the coating on the calamari was soggy. the bread and pasta had zero flavor. the chicken parmesan was so dry and unflavorful! pizza was cold and burnt. service wasnt the worse but could use improvement. the parking had tons of potholes. everything about this place was unfortunately disappointing!
First time ordering. This was a Pick up order. I ordered an under $20 meal. I gave my name upon arriving. My credit card was taken without them presenting me with a check. The host then brought me a check for about $60. I ordered a spaghetti and meatball entree. This check had several items on it. The host charged my card to someone else’s check because one of their entrees was spaghetti and meatballs. I asked for the owner or manager. It was said. Sorry. It was an honest mistake. I’m sorry. I have my name. It was a careless mistake. Not, “ we are so sorry this happened. Let us comp your meal because we charged you for something you did not order that cost three times the amount” They reversed the charges yet it’s showing on my checking account statement as a charge. Now I have to wait and keep checking my account I should have ordered from Lucia’s. Or just paid cash to avoid this mishap. The food was good. The service was not and in my opinion equally if not more important as this is the field of Hospitality. My salad had one cherry tomato cut in half and a couple cucumbers. I told them no dressing yet they put a balsamic in with the salad. The host told me this salad would have croutons. There weren’t any croutons on the salad. Not sure I will be back there to dine or to place an order based off of this first time experience. Hopefully the charge to my credit card will be reversed so that I don’t have to come back and fight for a refund!!!
4-4-25 went for dinner. Sat at the bar, the bartenders were very attentive and made excellent drinks. Very disappointed in our meals. My wife ordered the mussels and shrimp cocktail as her meal. The mussels had very little sauce which did not give the mussels any flavor, there were 4 shrimp in the shrimp cocktail and they were huge, but there was mostly greens with very little cocktail sauce to the point there was no sauce for the 4 th piece. I had the 14 oz NY strip with mushrooms and onions, the meat was very fatty with little taste. My sides were roasted potatoes that were cut in half and the portion would have fit in the palm of my hand. My other side was a small salad which consisted of lettuce very little shredded cheese and one half of a cherry tomato. The meal was served with warm bread which was good. Our bill was $175, there are much better high end restaurants in the area that serve better size and quality food for less money. Very very disappointed in our first dinning experience. The percentage of patronizing again will be very slim. And we believe in giving second chances.
We were excited to try Astoria, hoping for authentic Italian fare—but unfortunately, it missed the mark. Our total bill came to $135 for one appetizer, two entrees, one glass of wine, a $20 corkage fee, tax, and tip. Made a Saturday reservation through Open Door. Despite selecting the regular dining room, we were nearly seated at a bar high-top and had to push for a proper table—even though the restaurant was mostly empty. The table we received was chipped, wobbly, and poorly lit. Paper napkins and worn furniture gave the place a cheap feel, totally out of sync with the pricing. Service was rushed and uninformed. Our server forgot a wine order, mispronounced menu items (bruschetta), couldn’t explain ingredients, and wasn’t aware of pricing. A bizarre moment: when asked about the odd wine charge ($14.42), we were told we could save 42 cents by paying cash, as cash is king—followed by “Jesus is king.” Not the time or place for religious commentary. Food was a mixed bag: • Bruschetta: Overloaded with raw onion and balsamic—too acidic. • Chicken Piccata: Just average. • Braised Short Rib: Dry and tough, not tender as expected. The manager was aware we weren’t happy but offered no real resolution—just a passive “let me know if you need anything.” Astoria has potential, but between poor service, underwhelming food, and a lack of polish, we won’t be back unless significant improvements are made.
My husband and I went out here for a date night. Food was OK but not worth the price in my opinion. There were up charges for everything that we were not told. And my husband‘s steak came out well done when he had ordered medium rare, which the server recognized immediately and took it back however, by the time my husband‘s steak came out correct I was actually already done eating my dinner. Not great customer service and definitely not worth the $200.
My husband and I came in not that long ago and I wasn’t going to leave a review but the service was so bad I think you need to know. I believe her name was Chloe and she was awful… it took her 15 minutes to greet us. Our drinks took about 20 mins , the food was amazing but our server never checked on us. I do t know if she was on drugs or what maybe it was an off day. We will be back because the food was delish but we will try a different server.
This was the worst food I’ve had in a very long time. The steak was 1/3 fat and flavorless. When we went they were out of shrimp cocktail, fried shrimp and salmon as well as the pork porterhouse and filet The mushrooms were flat and had a very bad taste of old butter weirdly. Rice pilaf was more like rice crispies it was so dry. Out of my $140 bill the salad was the highlight. Do not waste your money here I’ve had better steak from ponderosa back in the day. None of my 6 Guest will be returning.
My experience here was not what I expected. Came in with one of my friends for dinner and was seated very promptly by the host. Then our server Natalie came over asked us what we wanted to drink and went and got our drinks. After we got our drinks, she said she would be right back to take our order. We sat for about 25 minutes waiting for Natalie to come back to take our order and she never came back. We ended up leaving. I then heard that the Natalie was so upset that since she knew the friend that I was with worked at Lucia’s that she was going to give him a bad review at Lucia’s in order to get him in trouble. That review, unfortunately, has been posted and has been reported. I would love to give this restaurant another chance because it felt very inviting and relaxing. But unfortunately, Natalie does not provide the level of customer service needed in an establishment of this price range. Will definitely come back to try the food, but will be requesting not to be placed with this waitress.
My dinner at Astoria Grill was an adventure — just not the kind I was hoping for. I ordered a steak and it arrived still clearly committed to its original life goals. I asked for cooked; it showed up aspiring. Server took it back, put it back on the grill(are they allowed to do that?) came back burnt on the outside. The vegetables tasted like they’d been introduced to seasoning from across the room but never actually met it. Service-wise, we had plenty of time to reflect on our life choices. It took about 25 minutes just to get water. I’ve waited less time at the DMV.
Made a reservation to celebrate our anniversary and it was like we were invisible once we got seated. My wife and I waited 10-15 minutes with waiters walking by us and not even acknowledging us. Walked out and went to another restaurant where we received great service. I would not recommend this restaurant and obviously will never go back.
