Had my son’s SU graduation party here last night. It was the absolute best!! Maria the event coordinator from start to finish was THE BEST!! The staff was sooooo helpful setting up and all throughout the party. The food and the atmosphere were great. All 140 of us loved it. 10/10!! Run don’t walk if you are in Syracuse or need to throw a party!!! 🍊

I recently had my rehearsal dinner here this past March. It was such a great experience and Maria was great to work with. She had great suggestions and made the process so easy to plan. The private room was a perfect spot for guests and would recommend to anyone. Everyone loved the food and we had a wonderful bartender that was great.

I've had the joy of attending a handful of events over the years at Maxwell's. This last event I worked directly with Maria myself to plan a party for a group I am a part of. The planning was so easy and Maria was wonderful to work with. The night of the event the food was delicious, the open bar aspect was so easy, and the staff were wonderful! Highly recommend Maxwell's for anything from a couple of drinks after work to full planned parties!

I hosted a surprise birthday party for my husband at Maxwells and it was PERFECT! The venue itself is charming and has such a pleasant ambience. Maria nailed every single detail and was beyond accommodating. The food is homemade and delicious, and the location is great. I would definitely host another event at Maxwells!

This is a great place on a summer night! Great outdoor seating with a fountain nearby. Good choice of beers ( I went old school with a Utica club in honor of my grandfather). The pizza is good (12” pie), pretzels are worth it. The nachos were a little thin on toppings. I’d go back!

What an amazing place to catch the game and have fantastic food/drink. Just go there and see for yourself!! And they can handle any size event big or small. Best of the best in Syracuse.

Maria just hosted our rehearsal dinner 7/15/22 and it was WONDERFUL. The food was amazing, staff was engaged, music playlist and ambiance were great. Maria thought of everything, decorating the blackboard with our names. My MIL requested dessert options about a week before the event and Maria took care of supplying a variety. I can’t say enough great things!! I just wish I had thought to take pictures of the food to share here.

Hosted a Retirement Party here for my Husband. I was floored!! Maria and her staff are hands down amazing!! They were super attentive and made sure everyone was happy. I have hosted hundreds of events at venues all over NY, working with this team was the best experience!! Well if you want to have a truly amazing, comfortable, inviting, delicious brunch for your daughter’s bridal shower…….pick Maxwells. Marie addressed ever single one of our requests with pleasure and complete professionalism. She was attentive the minute we walked in and atmosphere was just lovely. The event area was clean, beautifully decorated an smelled impeccably clean. And then there’s Gabby. What a doll. She and Marie single handedly managed the shower with ease and perfection. Marie is a lovely, kind, compassionate, artistic woman who clearly knows her craft. The food was the best! The perfect mixture of breakfast and lunch. Outstanding!!!!! Most of all our daughter and her fiancé’ were so happy with the entire event. So stop in, talk to Marie, book an event and you won’t be disappointed. Even the pouring rain didn’t put a damper on the day, And, Marie even gave my husband an umbrella! Thank you Marie and staff. We will remember the day with a happy heart! 💜Darlene Strodel

I can’t speak for the day time service, but at night this is one of the worst bars I visited in almost forever. The bartender was black out drunk, screwing up orders throwing things away. Again can’t speak for the day, but at night just save your money.

Not even a full min of sitting down the bar I was asked what I wanted to order. Give me a min to sit.. geez… I was asked 4 times in the span of 10 mins MAX… what I wanted to order. The energy and body language of the guy in the bar seemed hostile. We felt pressured and uncomfortable. I was discussing it with my partner. We left and didn’t try anything. Won’t be back.
