Absolutely superb! The food is so fresh, incredibly unique and consistent when it comes to quality always a treat! And do yourself a favor try the baklava cheesecake. Paradise with every bite!
Absolutely delicious. Attentive service. Large menu. Affordable prices. Everything from the spanakopita to the hummus to the chicken bowl we ordered had so much flavor.
Great service! Prices are great! You definitely get what you paid for!!! Food has so much flavor!!!
Absolutely love Mujed’s, the food is delicious, the staff if friendly and the restaurant and bar are spacious with nice character and Middle Eastern ambiance. My family and I have been going there for over 30 years and it’s still as wonderful as when we first started dining there. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but my favorites are shawarma, grape leaves, and falafel.
Ordered from them for the first time and it was absolutely incredible. My husband made a mistake and got me chicken instead of beef shawarma but it was still the best shawarma I’ve ever had and I will be back to try the beef soon.
Munjed's is a hidden gem for Mediterranean cuisine, offering fresh, flavorful dishes that keep customers coming back. From their perfectly seasoned shawarma to their creamy hummus and warm pita, every bite is a delight. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make it a great spot for a casual meal or takeout. Whether you're craving a hearty gyro or a fresh falafel wrap, Munjed's delivers authentic flavors with a homemade touch.
Very unassuming exterior but the inside is nicely decorated and very clean. Prices are very reasonable and large portions. Super friendly service and great recommendations. Lots of vegetarian options. Will definitely be coming back.
Such a lovely spot! We went for the fish fry, and my fish sandwich was absolutely to die for. The fries were some of the best seasoned fries I'd had in a long time -- and you can just tell everything is cooked with love. I'm excited to go back and try even more!
I love the loaded fries from here, but I just got a take out order. I asked for no onions, I hate onions and having to pick them out of my food. The dish was loaded with big chunky pieces of onions and no tomatoes. Just check your orders when you pick up. Otherwise, everything else was great.
The woman who served me was friendly and attentive. However, I was not impressed with the food - I have had middle eastern food in various places and I did not like their hummus, pita, or gyro platter very much. Atmosphere is nice, it is a good environment to sit in - features some middle eastern decorations and music.
Today while at the NYS Fair we visited Munjed’s booth. My friend ordered a gyro salad and I ordered a gyro with fries. Service was fast and prices seemed reasonable for fair food. When the food came out, my friend questioned the meat on her salad. We were told the gyro meat was a beef and lamb mix — something she hadn’t realized, as she cannot eat lamb and thought there would be a choice of meats. We understand this was partly a misunderstanding on our end, but when she mentioned her dietary restriction, a cook in the back made a very unprofessional comment: “Then don’t order it.” That response was unnecessary and disrespectful. They “remade” the salad, but instead of fully preparing a fresh one, they just removed the meat and replaced it with chicken, leaving behind bits of gyro meat mixed in with the vegetables. This turned her off from eating it completely. Meanwhile, I tried my fries and they were so oversalted they were inedible. When my friend requested a refund, the owner offered to remake the food, but by that point her appetite was gone. Instead of handling the situation with care, the owner became argumentative and confrontational. Ultimately, she only refunded the items that weren’t eaten, and it felt like a battle to get even that. For fairness: my gyro itself tasted fine. However, the lack of professionalism, customer care, and the dismissive attitude we encountered left a very bad impression. While they did issue a refund in the end, it was only after we pointed out that vendors at the NYS Fair are expected to uphold certain standards. Overall, I would not consider visiting this booth again. A little more understanding, respect, and attention to customer experience would go a long way.
Maybe it was because i doordashed but the food was very overpriced for the quality. the pita i ordered was ice cold and came in a plastic package from the store; so it’s not remotely made there. the $1 sides are barely enough to dip a single pita in- not worth it!! the hummus was okay but nothing special or great. the greek fries were completely soaked through. absolutely soggy all the way through. the toppings were nowhere near sliced up enough to eat with hands and the fries even when heated up and made crispy were eh in terms of flavor. the only reason i gave them two stars was the desperate hope that everything tastes better fresh despite placing my order and receiving it all within 20 minutes. do better or sell cheaper.
The service wasn't bad, I wish I could say the same for the food. I will never get food there again. I got the beef shawarma dinner and could not be more disappointed. Dry, stringy, over cooked, way over salted, served with runny hummus, a bit of iceburg lettuce and a basket of very stale pita bread. In the past I have had some very good food at Munjed's but it seems like they don't care anymore.
So sad about my experience here earlier tonight. Gyro was COLD. Ingredients included stems, onion skin, etc. Wine had clearly been open days ago. Service was sympathetic but didn’t bring a hot gyro or anything like that. Shocked because there are so many many positive reviews.
