They keep over charging my card . I think the bartender adds a tip if you don’t cash out . 3 times I’ve paid 80 bucks for 3 drinks??? (Update!!!) After speaking with the store manager and understanding where the extra charges to my debit card came from , I am very happy with the communication and hospitality of the establishment, as she explained every aspect of the transaction. I highly recommend TrueLove And I am also pretty sure Im in love with her as well 🥰I can’t wait to see her next time I go I will probably just give her my card so that she can have it and buy whatever she wants 🤷‍♂️❤️

I came here after leaving a nearby place and it was practically empty. That very well could’ve been because there was an additional room that I was unaware of. Regardless, the music was good. I had an Old Fashioned and she made it spot on. The bouncer was also very attentive! I decided to enjoy reading a book on phone and I put my head down on the bar and he checked up on me thinking I was falling asleep. Definitely a plus! Something to keep in mind, bags aren’t allowed so be mindful if you’re in the areas studying/working and have your bag with you. You can leave it at the door, but do so at your own risk I’d say.

I go often with a group of work friends. The environment is nice and friendly. Last time I went there was a cool punk show. The decor and everything is amazing. If there is not an event there is usually always someone singing karaoke. There is an indoor and outdoor space to drink and hangout. Cheese sticks and fries are good.

Such a cool vibe! You get ID'ed at the entrance, so the whole bar is only 21+. The mixed drinks were great, and they have a wide variety of ales, IPAs, domestic, etc. The pickle shots are my personal favorite. The karaoke is awesome. The decor is great. The bar tenders are friendly. This is my favorite bar in Waco; top marks all around!! There is even plenty of parking available. Highly recommend a visit to Truelove , get yourself a pickle shot 🥒😎

My new favorite bar!! I absolutely love the vibe! Bartender was great, the guy at the door was super personable and informative,he raves about the food and the pink room bartender so we will definitely be back. I'm really excited to see some bands play here, Sunday they had had karaoke and it was an absolute blast! Great music, and a really cool place. The women's bathroom has the best mural! I can't say enough about the drinks! We basically got just about all of the cocktails on the menu and loved all of them! They were so good! The decor and murals are really cool, there are tons of art from local artists and the back patio is huge! Such a good use of space! I'm really excited to come back as soon as I can!!

My favorite bar in Waco! On a hunt for a punk dive bar, this was the closest I found. Dim lighting, pool tables, karaoke, strong drinks (multiple bars), and a sweet back patio! The staff were ultra friendly & welcoming as well. I'll definitely be back.

It's a hipster bar. Bunch of gay flags everywhere. Not where I would want to sit around and drink all night but if that's what you like, you'll like this place. I had the one drink, went in the back patio to have a smoke, and then left.

Walk up bar service was ok, typical bar. We only got the elote dog since we weren't feeling the atmosphere, not to say it's bad we just wanted somewhere quieter for this outing. We saw there was a back bar based on other reviews, there is and isn't. The "back bar" is not staffed. If it is supposed to be, we waited for a while before walking back to the front cor a relatively long wait for a couple basic drinks and a hot dog. The hot dog was awesome. The bread was crispy and the hot dog was warm and juicy. Toppings were top knotch.

Two Stars – “A Bar I Want to Love… But Can’t” Truelove is the kind of bar you want to fall in love with. The ambiance is straight-up incredible—dim lighting, cool decor, pool tables, multiple stages, a sprawling patio. It’s got that alternative, artsy vibe that hits all the right notes for people like me. It looks like the kind of place where conversations spark, connections form, and nights stretch into stories. But here’s the thing: for all the effort they’ve put into making it fun, they’ve kind of overdone it. Karaoke. Every. Night. And not just tucked into a corner. It dominates the space. It’s loud enough that you can’t hear yourself think, much less strike up a conversation. I totally get that people love getting their moment on stage, and there’s a place for that—but when it's every night, it stops being an occasional novelty and starts becoming a social barrier. The vibe gets drowned out by off-pitch vocals and relentless volume. Then there’s the service. I’ve had a couple encounters with bartenders who came off as either apathetic or outright rude. No names, because I’m not trying to smear anyone—but when you combine slow service with an attitude, it sours the whole experience. Especially in a place that’s this close to being amazing. I’m not saying this is a bad bar. It’s just… a frustrating one. Because it’s my kind of place on paper, but in practice, it’s hard to connect, hard to relax, and harder to enjoy than it should be. Maybe others feel differently. Maybe that’s just my experience. But I’ve tried more than once, and it keeps falling short. I’d love to love Truelove... But right now, it’s not loving me back.

If only - stars were available. Since my last review is somehow gone, thought I’d come back to let others know how awful my experience was. It was my sisters 21st, we were SO EXCITED. I told the bartender we wanted to get crunk, literally my exact words, then was immediately told we wouldn’t be served and had to leave. If you don’t want to make money and work, just say so! Came all the way from Houston, would never return even if someone paid me, and based off other reviews they have a habit of turning away lots of clientele. Almost ruined our night, then we went to a much better bar down the road who delivered a truly exceptional experience. Don’t waste your time or money at True Love, there’s literally NO love there.
