First time at this location. It was a drive thru order and they nailed it. Ordered 4 combo's and 3 were different. Even had no tomatoes on one and no lettuce on a taco. Young lady at the window was also very pleasant. Great job and thank you.

The freshest fast food burrito award belongs to Taco Bueno! The burrito looked home cooked and my daughter said that it was filling and delicious. It was a pleasant surprise. We hope to find this restaurant with the same quality of food when traveling in the future.

It's been years since I've eaten at Taco Bueno, and the food is still as delicious as I remember. There are so many great choices on the menu. I had the nacho salad which was amazing. The service was fast and friendly. I would highly recommend.

This was prompt to say hello as soon as you came into the building you they acknowledged your presence. fast food places these days it seems all too often you go stand at the counter see people working , and know that they see you and they don't even acknowledge that you're there, not only did they greet everyone as soon as they came in they were all saying Merry Christmas or happy holidays as you left.

We had the beef burrito, taco, and quesadilla around 3:30 in the afternoon. All were very good and plentiful with vegatables! Drive through went without a hitch and was fast. The lady was very nice and patient with our order, I feel bad about taking extra time but my family still isnt dining in anywhere- thanks covid-19! I dont normally eat taco bueno but we fed a family of 4 for $23. I will be back another day to try something else. My only complaint is the speaker volume, it was hard to hear the lady taking our order. I had to ask multiple times for her to repeat herself. It might have been the mask she was wearing but keep yourself safe young lady! Good job overall with my transaction and keep shining on!!!

Taco Bueno is my fav “Tex-mex” fast food. The ingredients are obviously fresh and everything tastes a lot more natural than most overly seasoned places. The Terrell location in particular has great customer service and exceptional customer service. The team takes pride in providing high quality food and service. You can tell everything is made to order. Thank you so much to the team for putting in the extra effort at this location to provide a good experience consistently. Today I ordered a quesadilla and it was crispy on the outside and that cheese pull was everything! The beans are delicious and the perfect dipping dish for my quesadilla! The salsa is fresh and slightly spicy. Thank you Terrell TB!

The beans here are so good. Their prices have went up like everywhere else but if you order a cup of pintos and cheese it's less than a burrito but it has a double serving of beans. I like the queso. The guacamole is my favorite from here too. Sometimes it needs a little salt but that's an easy fix. Fresh salsa bar and the hot sauce has a good flavor. Always been a Bueno head since I ate at their first location in my hometown of Abilene, Texas.

Went here for a Father's Day breakfast, Dad's. It was very early in the morning and we were the only customers there. We ordered two chicken tacos one chicken salad they couldn't get the order the right and made a beef salad instead. They were real nice about making a new salad but it seemed a little weird to get wrong, maybe they were hungover.

Great service with the young man working at the counter at around 5:30 pm, I had brought coupons with us and I forgot to cut them out and he offered me some scissors to cut them out! I’ve never had someone do that before he went above and beyond also the food was hot and fresh and yums! definitely coming back, this young man deserves a raise!

I used to love coming to the Terrell location. Now, I am more disappointed in the food. The party burritos tortilla are hard, the beans are one big clump that is not very appetizing. I usually spend $15+ each time. I want my food to be good if I am going to spend that amount of money for food. On the plus side I’ve always had good customer service.

This is an especially well run Taco Bueno. The fellow at drive thru window at about 7pm was polite and they got my order right & quick. I tried the new Frito pie & it's awesome. Plenty of fritos, chili, cheese & sour cream. They weren't chinchy with the ingredients.

After years of not visiting due to work and traveling outside their locations, I just had to stop in to the best fast food mexican food I have evver endured. Legendary memory was splendidly matched as I still think it is. Can't wait to be back for more!

Good fast food. My favourite is the taco salad. But I get mine with chicken. I like the sauce but mine needed more sauce plus it was later in the evening and no fresh ice tea. In fact no tea. Good bean burrito.

Good food when you need it. Usually accurate orders, but check your bags before pulling out, as there is usually something they forgot. Not every time, but 80% of the time.

Having to drive a long ways they got my order wrong.notwanting to deal with the long crowds again because of the ice and they were however the only ones open. So for that they get four stars in my books the food was good.

First time I've been a taco Bueno in about 5 years They did pretty good they're sauce of bars about up to far period unlike the Tucker cabana which was horrible and I demanded a refund

The place was not crowded when I arrived, but it was like during the afternoon. The food was served in a timely manner, despite the staff forgetting to call our number. The staff, or at least the cashier, was very friendly. Have your ticket ready. They don't use names. The salsa bar was a little under stocked for how few people were in there. The tacos, chips and queso, and refried beans were good for the price (I got 8 items for under $20). The tables were decently clean, only a couple specs of food on the table. I would come back again, but it was a pit stop on my trip.

Food was good, service was very slow. It was not busy when we arrived. We placed our order, made our drinks and found a table. We then waited almost 15 minutes for our food. This seemed like a very long time. Usually they call our number by the time we sit at a table.

Food was good. Took a while to get my meal as they were busy. But the staff were nice. And it was conveniently close to my hotel.

The food was good...hot and fresh, but it took a while to get. The dining area was a bit dirty, and for some reason all of the tables in the center, were marked not to be used, but with no apparent reason.

Good food but they need to fix the canopy bc its going to fall down on someone, its really a hazard the way it is, its just hanging.

The drive thru line was long. I expect that during lunch time. I ordered the beef burrito. I am sure they did mean to forget to add the cheese and chili sauce that is advertised as part of the burrito. My burrito was tasty and hot. I will return another time but I will make sure I double check next time.

A bit disappointing for a first time ever visit to this restaurant, which appears to be a chain or franchise. I looking for some vegan or vegetarian options on their menu, and they did not have any. Ended up with a kind of macho salad without any meat. I was offered extra guacamole, which was very good. Good menu selection for meat lovers, for sure, especially when one of the sizes you can order is called "freakin' big." Cannot say I would go there again.

Food is good. Workers seem to be preoccupied every time I go to this location. Never more than a couple of customers in the place and there's never a cashier ready to take your order. If the cashier does appear when we first walk in, they act like we just interrupted their break.

Stopped by this Taco Bueno in The Crossroads Shopping Center across from Buccees in Terrell Tx on Wednesday night about 9:50pm. The drive-thru lady was nice, polite, and friendly. The outside of the building and parking lot were clean. The prices are steep for a fast-food mexican joint, in my opinion. $20 for two tacos, a side of guacamole, and a side of mexican rice. The food was a disappointment. The guacamole was brown and didn't taste good at all. The rice was very dry and bland, and the portion cup only about half-full, so only maybe 2oz of rice for over $3, which I couldn't eat, because it was so dry and bland and tasteless. One Taco was for my dog, meat and cheese only, and he didn't even want to eat it. Mine was a soft beef taco with meat, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and I paid extra to add sour cream. It was ok, but the meat was bland, and the flour tortilla was dry and hard. I will definitely not eat there again, not with so many other food choices nearby, such as Raising Cane's, Freddy's, Whataburger, Taco Bell, McDonald's, and Wendy's.

Taco Bueno is one of my favorite chains. This is not a bad location, but it could be improved. The main issue is the service. It takes longer than it should to get an order. Generally, I have found the food quality to be better than the locations in Mesquite.

This particular time was good but the time before this I waited at the counter for several minutes without being helped so I left. Taco Bueno: Too Much of a Good(?) Thing I stopped by Taco Bueno, lured in by nostalgia and hunger, remembering their old slogan—“We put a lot in every bite.” And, well… they sure do. Maybe a little too much. I ordered a Beef Muchaco, expecting a balanced, tasty bite. What I got instead was an overstuffed tortilla fighting for its life. One bite in, and it practically exploded—ground beef cascading onto my tray, shredded lettuce flying like confetti, sour cream oozing out like it had somewhere better to be. I wasn’t eating a taco; I was conducting damage control. The flavors? Let’s just say Taco Bueno has mastered the art of making everything taste vaguely the same. Beef, beans, cheese—it all blends into one mushy, lukewarm experience. The tortilla? A soggy bystander in this tragic event. Even the hot sauce seemed disinterested, like it knew it wasn’t going to help. Look, I respect the ambition of “putting a lot in every bite,” but maybe focus on putting the right things in the bite. Less chaos, more flavor, and a tortilla that doesn’t crumble under pressure—that’s the dream.

We live out in the sticks and don't have a bueno near us so i have been looking forward to taco bueno for sooooo long. I love taco bueno as a rule but this location was a huge disappointment. I got the mexi dips and chips and chicken quesadilla, my favorites. The chips were so old and hard i could hardly chew them, the beans were old and overcooked,the quesadilla was full of greasy over seasoned chicken and so little cheese that it wouldn't even hold together and everything fell out of it. I couldn't eat much of any of it

Extremely slow service, rice was crunchy, hardly any chicken in my chicken bowl, bathroom was disgusting, no soap, the workers acted like they didn't want to be there, could hardly hear the guy taking our order, and the girl just threw our food on the counter when it was finally ready. I get better food and service at most Taco Bells. 2 stars because the food wasn't nasty.

They were NOT friendly, acted like I was a bother to them. Food portions were extremely skimpy and could barely taste the item inside, bean burrito looked like how you would make a peanut butter sandwich, but with just a swipe of beans 🙁 very disappointed with this location. This is the 2nd time and it will be the last time we go here. Taco Bueno is generally a good treat for us as we don't live anywhere near one and usually service and food are great. I DON'T RECCOMEND THIS LOCATION!

This place was first for me and my family. The food was bland. Their hottest hot sauce was bland and had no heat. The salsa and cheese dip was spicier. The rest of the dips were bland. It’s not that they were bad just bland and very forgetful.

I came here after 5 years based on an awesome experience in Dallas. I must say that it was not what I remembered. Or the one in Dallas is a lot better. I waited about 15 minutes before asking what was taking my order so long. Turns out they forgot me completely. I won't be returning to this establishment.

Ordered 3 party burritos, brisket quesadilla, brisket queso. Bueno forgot to give me all three party burritos and chips for the queso and the quesadilla was hardly filled. This order cost $20. I do not believe the value is there for this price.

Seems like the damn burritos are getting smaller. Price stays the same with less product. I mean, I like some taco Bueno now. When I pull up at 9:50pm sharp, I expect to still be able to get me one of them beef burritos. I sat there in my truck with anticipation at the drive thru menu for about thirty seconds before I pulled up to the window. They act like they ain't see me while they in there putting the last of the plastic covers over the food. They had been done serving. Such a let down. I wish they'd keep serving them tacos till 10 like they outta.

I was looking forward to enjoying some good nachos. To my surprise there was a hair in my food. Disgusting! We were wondering why no cars were in the parking lot on a Friday evening. Now I know why. I will not visit the Terrell location anymore. That was my first and last time.

Ordered trough drive through. Order was wrong person just mumbled and it was like pulling teeth talking him..just gave up and took what he gave me. Beans tasted burnt and toquitos were soggy

I have great memories of Taco Bueno growing up and looked forward to enjoying this meal. Unfortunately, it was nothing like I remembered. The interior of the restaurant was in need of repair and the bathroom locks were damaged and smelled as though there was recent water damage. The floors were sticky and the air simply felt gross. We should’ve just walked out, but we were exhausted and starving and wanted something quick. The toppings bar had flies and the food looked like it had been out for a while. There were a couple of employees on lunch having a loud conversation in the dining room which was kind of uncomfortable. Beef muchaco shell was old and dry, and just didn’t taste good. The chicken potato burritos were bland and tasted like nothing. Lettuce was wilted. Husband said the regular tacos were just okay. Probably my last visit to a Taco Bueno.

Was just there. Placed order online for pickup. Just got home and saw order was incorrect. I paid more for what I ordered than what I got! Tried calling, but they pick up phone than hang up! Would like a refund of some of my money. If anyone would answer the phone!

I went here for the first time since we moved to the Forney area almost a year ago; I was in the area and it sounded good. Unfortunately, this one did not have the same “quality” as other Taco Bueno locations I’ve been to. I ordered (via the drive thru) the chicken chilada platter. What I received had no chili sauce and was only covered in queso, shredded cheese, and pico de gallo; and the chicken was battered (and I’m assuming fried…?). I’ve never had a chicken chilada platter from a Bueno that used battered chicken, so that was really strange (also, do they even have anything on their menu that uses battered chicken??). The chips that came with the platter were also burned/over-done. I don’t go to Taco Bueno very often at all (maybe 2-3x in a year), but it’s going to take some serious cravings for me to want to go back to this location.

Remarkable Review

Took forrrreveeeerrr to get our food. It looked like they were fully staffed and like no one was busy. The lobby wasn't full, drive thru was empty so unsure of why there wasn't any sense of urgency. Burritos all fell apart... maybe rushed. Burrito was small. The food was okay though. Not the best taco bueno, but okay. Wouldn't go back to this location.

The service is ridiculously slow! Goodness it took them over 20 mins to make 6 bean burritos and 6 soft tacos. As I sat in the car with two hungry kids I watched about 15 cars make it through the drive thru! I know good and well they are not back there making fresh mashed refried beans and fresh cook ground beef. I will not be returning!

The order was incorrect. No container for my Wife's Guacamole . Never received Wifes soft chicken taco . Even after explaining to the order taker, in person, 3 times... The workers didn't seem to care about the customers...

Yesterday around 6pm, I went to this location and recieved the worst experience ever. I used to consider Taco Bueno the better fast food tex mex. Now, and especially after yesterday, I will no longer think of Taco Bueno first. As I arrived in the Drive Thru, I was told "hold on", ok so I did. When she came back over the intercom and asked what I wanted, I told her a Whollata Box. I asked if she can do soft Tacos and with a attitude she responded with just "No". Not "No I apologize" or "We are unable to make that change I'm sorry". At the window, she was of even more just rude as all can be. Besides interrupting the Cashier very important day, I must have also just ruined the cooks as well. My box arrived with cold burritos and paper thin tacos with just beef and lettuces, no cheese. It was awful and I hope something can be done about the experience.

Used doordash to place an order, have been trying to call them multiple times with in the last few minutes and it seems like no one wants to answer the phone. It either rings a few times and then gives me a busy signal or someone picks up, doesn’t speak and the hangs up (i can hear the workers in the background making noise.)

The employees made it very clear they let their political standpoints get in the way of their customer service skills. Employees need more training on how to treat their customers and how to not associate politics with treatment of people they are serving. Any paying customer should be able to wear any type of clothing they want without having to worry about how they will be treated.

We live locally and visit this location occasionally thinking it will get better... it doesn’t! They are extremely stingy and always “out of” everything. Super slow and food is frail. We at least want what we pay for and every time we go we are missing something we ordered... but get pulled around to the front to wait! At least make the wait worth it and and be sure everything ordered is in the bag!

The lady at drive thru didn't know how to give coreect change. It took 3 attempts. I had to tell her how much my change was to return to me. Secondly, when I got home my order wasn't mine. Her mind obviously was on her work.

Drive thru took for ever, only went a bit quicker because 2 people in front of me left because the only person at the window took forever, and they did too with me. They couldn't hear me what I wanted, asked multiple times for a cheese chimi and they had no idea for some reason what I said or was asking. Then when I received my food, my 3 tacos where extreamly bland, barely any lettuce and tomatoes in it, like I know they dont put much, but there was like barely any and cheese, ordered chips and queso, and I know for a fact they where super old or something, they where extreamly stale and cheese tasted like it had been sitting there forever and salsa had no flavor whatsoever. I love taco bruno, but this location does not seem to care about their food. I should of just stuck with my gut and gone to panda Express right next to them.

My husband loves Taco bueno but I was disappointed by the lobby every table was dirty. So I can say no covid-19 procedures being followed. ( or in between customers)Also employees were so busy they didn't even hear or obtain things needed. Disappointed 😕👎

We have had a few bad experiences with Doordash orders from this location. We are always missing at least one item and they NEVER include hot sauce, even when we request it on the order. Very disappointing because Taco Bueno is usually one of our favorite places to eat. I don't think we will be ordering here again.

Every single table was dirty!! They were out of sweet tea was out so i stood at the counter and the chick making food just starred at me. They were very behind on orders. Had to wait for four people to get their orders before we finally got ours. This was the worst experience ever at a so called fast food joint. Wont be going back thats for sure.

The food was the worst I have probably ever gotten from any fast food place and I have eaten at a lot. This visit ensured me that we will never return to this or any Taco Bueno, which is a shame since it used to be one of my favorite places to eat. What happened????

Third try. 0 of 3 orders had sour cream on my to go order this time. If you’re out I can understand.... but... let the customer know before you put the order in and send them on their way. Platters were sideways in the bag, you know same customer service as most places now. I try to give two good reviews if I have to give a bad one but it’s getting harder.. Too bad bc I would eat there at least once a week.

This was the first time I get horrible service at this location. I waited 10 mins in the drive thru line. So I decide to go inside for a possible “faster service” waited another 30 mins. My beef mucho nachos were TRASH! The chips were stale, there was barely any beef or cheese on them. The whole staff looked new to me! Bring the last staff back!! They were fast and food use to be fresh! Very DISAPPOINTED!

Awful. The staff is inattentive to walk in customers, concentrating on the drive through orders. Waited 20 minutes for my order. The tostada looked like it had been prepared by a 4 yr old. Worst Taco Bueno I have been too! Food was not good at all, beans were burnt and dry (hello their refried beans), out of the "new" bubbly drink, burrito was flat cause it hardly had anything in it! Oh yea, FIX THE CEILING!!! Disgusting and a health hazard that an entire table and around it was COVERED in the stuff from the ceiling! Honestly, there was so much it looked like bird poop...no joke! What does that say about the mgmt crew and everyone else about standards?!?!

I went through the drive-through ordered two chicken potato burritos, one without sour cream, four bean burritos. They left out one of the chicken burritos the first time around drove home round-trip 15 miles only to get my order remade and they left out the chicken burrito again also only received party burritos after paying for regular bean burritos.

Taco Bueno employees have horrible attitudes. First hispanic young male at the drive thru over charge me and I asked for a refund on items I didn't get. He gets mad like it's my fault. Then here comes I guess a manager even much worst and said what's going on. I said I need a refund for items I didn't ask , she gives me my food and said have a nice day. I don't she understood I needed a refund I was over charge , now she going to sit there and try to argue with me in the drive thru. Some people just shouldn't work with customers, if she is the manager she needs to be a regular employee in the back making the food instead , along with the drive thru hispanic kid.

People all mumble. Order is incorrect. It is advertised as SHREDDED beef but I was given extremely tasteless ground beef. We went inside because you can't hear them over the speaker and they still whisper talk and you couldn't understand them. Wont be going back.

Be ready to pay extra to get the same amount of food you’d get at other Taco Bueno locations. The burritos were half the volume of normal. I went to talk to them and show them the issue. They said the price stayed the same but they reduced the size and amount of filling.

the food is okay. However be sure to keep your receipt. When I checked my statement a couple of days later I noticed a duplicate charge. I have reached out no less than 10 times trying to reach management. That's difficult to do when the phone rings 10 times and then goes dead. I have also tried to reach out to their corporate office both by phone and email. When I call their phone i get a fast busy signal. I sent an email and I'm still waiting for a reply more than ten days later. None of the these are good signs of a company with quality customer service. I will not be back until I receive a response.

On Oct 3, 2023 I was here, it’s over 32 miles one way from my house. I had business In Terrell. This was Tuesday and I was hoping that they had the taco platter on special. Either the individual at the register wasn’t well informed or she had a problem. I felt that I wasn’t wanted there by her. I know that I will never come back there. I’ve been a loyal customer since the late 70’s or the early 80’s since my first visit to the Taco Bueno in Richardson, Texas on Beltline road.

food is great however while we were eating in our booth a lady was mopping the floors the smell of pine sol was so strong we had to eat in a hurry YUK we walked outside afterward and took a deep breath. please please NEVER try to mop while customers are trying to eat especially when you make it so strong you cant taste your food

Pulled up to the drive-thru was told to hang on a minute literally 9 and 1/2 minutes later I said can someone take my order and I was screamed at and told you were asked to wait a minute I'll be with you shortly! I get every place of shorthanded but to already have sitting 9 and 1/2 minutes then to get screamed at I don't think so I just drove off. Seems to be the issue here lately every time I try to go get me a taco burger The people with this location in Terrell or just extremely rude!! Instead of driving 20 minutes to get to that location I'll drive 20 minutes east and go to Taco casa from now on..

Food was not good this time, the lady working the drive through couldn’t have been less friendly!!! Asked if we wanted hot sauce, we said yes and I guess she didn’t care !!! Given her general attitude I am surprised we got what we ordered even though I could have done without it!!! I don’t recommend stopping at this one for a long time. We travel through on our way to my wife’s parents regularly and have been here several occasions but won’t be back!!! Just ridiculous!!!

Drive thru this past sat. Ordered a mega dips and chips. Was given total for a regular. Confused by the price asked and was told they don't have that anymore. Which is a lie. I won't be back.

This place royally sucks.. They are sup to be open till 10 pm.. Come anywhere between 9:30 & 9:50 and they are already shut down.. everything put up and cleaned as if it's been shut down for an hr already. Pull up to the windows at 9:30 just to see if they are still taking orders,l.. if you're lucky enough to have an employee look at you.. they look at you like you are the dumb one. And their staff, on a good day, seems to be rude as hell. I recommend finding a better location.. stat!! To rude considering they food ain't all that great to begin with. Thumbs down 👎🏻

The absolute worst tacos I have ever had in my life. The meat was dry and crumbly and had absolutely zero flavor. I’m not even sure it was beef. As soon as you took a bite it just crumbled in little pieces everywhere. There was about a thimble full of cheese on our tacos. The dining room is old, outdated and everything is brown. There are lots of old dirty ceiling tiles where it looks like leaks have happened and they were never replaced. Do yourself a favor and skip this location.

I am very disappointed with this fast food restaurant I bought two taquitos and a taco and I paid $10 I got to tell you it's not worth it I have been living reviews for a long time and when something is good always leave a good review because the food is great and such but here I am not, but I am not happy. Instead of $10 it should have been $5 The taste was not that great at all actually had no taste there's no flavor it doesn't have the wow factor. Anyways I think you guys should make something better this is just too expensive for so little. And by reading the other reviews I think you should take this seriously. I haven't come to this Taco Bueno in more than two years so I don't think I'll be back so anytime sooner. Sorry.

15min before being closed and they won’t take my order because they’re closing soon… I haven’t had time to get off the interstate in 800+ miles and I wasted it for this. No drive thru, no dining room, nothing.
