Owners, management, and staff were incredibly friendly. Service was perfect. Food? Amazing! Chicken Fried Steak, pancakes, waffles, and Omelettes all great. We will be back. Thank you for such an enjoyable experience.
Delicious food. Quality ingredients, service was great. Plenty of table touching. Not an easy place to find. It is tucked away in a shopping center. Place was packed on a Saturday morning. It is a large restaurant so sitting you down would probably happen quickly as it did for us.
Great experience! They just opened and everything seems to be running smoothly. The food was really good 😋. The service was great, Rogelio was attentive and Jr was a great host! We eat breakfast a lot and will definitely be back! I recommend the Chilaquiles!!! UPDATE:8-2025 We still come here often... Still great!!!
Yes! 5 stars all the way. Much better food quality than other chain places in a 20 mile radius. I will definitely be back here. This place is truly a Hidden Gem within the Conejo Valley community. I feel like their prices are fair, and you do get your money's worth. The service was great! Came in here on a weekday just before noon, and had a wonderful brunch breakfast with eggs benedict, pancakes and a sandwich with a couple friends. Eggs Benedict were perfectly poached. The English muffin was crispy, and the sauce was tangy, creamy and buttery. The pancakes were light and fluffy, and served Hot. Perfect temperature to melt some added butter on top. The turkey and ham sandwich was great! Very tasty. Nicely toasted bread, and the side of fries were crispy and light. I would definitely say this is a great spot for families, a business breakfast, good date spot, and also a great place for tourists traveling through the area who are looking for good food, served quick, at an affordable price. Parking is definitely plentiful, and free. There's a huge lot with a couple handicap spaces as well. Tell them I sent you, and please mention this review. 🙏
Newly opened and remodeled, The Galloping Hen is an awesome replacement for the old Tommy's. The food is excellent and the prices are really reasonable. Definitely great food at a great price. The staff is friendly and attentive. Esteban, the owner, comes around and makes sure everything is good. Opened for breakfast and lunch. An omelet with toast and potato's is 13.99. Coffee is really good too. Very clean.
Ate here for Mother’s Day. I ordered the Chilaquiles which were amazing (still thinking about them 🤤). Everyone else at my table all loved their orders. Was even able to talk to one of the owners who was very kind. Will be coming back again.
What an excellent breakfast and lunch gem in Thousand Oaks. Walked by while dropping off my car and popped in for some breakfast. Thought I knew what I wanted but their chilaquiles were so highly recommended that I decided on that. It was outstanding! I was practically licking the plate. I don’t live very close but told my wife we had to go back out there just for the meal. Do yourself a favor and come eat here!
Came out from out of town and this caught my eye. I’m big on breakfast and was looking for a good breakfast spot and glad I found this. Service was great, environment was nice and clean but most of all the food was delicious. I ask the waitress what she recommended and she said the chilaquiles and I was not disappointed. Friendly staff was the cherry on top. All in all, great spot and worth the visit.
I was the first customer at the Thousand Oaks grand opening. The food is delicious. I highly recommend this place and the prices are definitely fair. The service was awesome. The coffee was good. The Galloping hen is going to be a welcome addition to our community.

The food was delicious!! Highly recommend!! Karla did an amazing job helping us.
Had the opportunity to visit here for breakfast for the first time. I could not be more pleased that I did. From the initial welcoming feeling to the service received. It was a surprisingly great experience. Let me tell you about how delicious the food was. The menu selection was amazing and was hard to choose from. I did not leave disappointed. Overall a great visit that will leave you wanting more. I know it did for me. I plan to return and hope you give this restaurant and its staff a try. You will be happy you have.
We had breakfast, fair prices, great flavor and presentation. Clean basic dining area and some outdoor seating too.
Food is so good at such a great price. Service was great, and they got the food out to us quickly.
A few months ago, my wife and I came in and had a phenomenal breakfast. Angel served us, he was fantastic! He was kind, polite, attentive and overall an awesome guy. We had the Minestrone soup and the avocado toast and it was delicious. We will definitely be coming back!
Had an amazing breakfast experience at Galloping in Thousand Oaks! The service was fantastic, the food was absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere made the whole morning even better. Our waitress was great and very friendly, but I especially want to mention the busgirl. She was incredibly attentive the entire time and did an amazing job keeping everything clean, organized, and making sure we had everything we needed. You can really tell she works hard and takes pride in what she does, and she really stood out during our visit. Overall, such a great breakfast spot with amazing food, great service, and a really welcoming atmosphere. Definitely recommend Galloping if you're in Thousand Oaks!
Really good.. Great service and just a chill place to get a good breakfast .

I’ve eaten here many times and each time the service has been great . The food is one of the most reasonably priced places I’ve been to for breakfast.

First time here! Met my friend for breakfast. Everyone was so friendly from the minute you walk in the door; and continuous checking on you throughout the meal. I had avocado toast, and it Was on par with anything you could have at a upscale breakfast place! Definitely will be going back here -easy to park. Welcome to Thousand Oaks Galloping Hen. I think the TO breakfast club (a.k.a. my small group of friends) will be coming back for sure!

We ordered a to-go order, made an order quickly, but after leaving the restaurant, we found that part of the order was missing in the boxes, my husband did not put the potatoes he ordered and did not put toast to both of us, although the manager at the checkout asked us what kind of bread and potatoes we want to get, also hash brown was overcooked, which disappointed a little
The outdoor patio area was nice and shady and very quiet. There were a few Doggo's and that was nice because i brought mine. The surface was amazing and everything was tended to and there was very little waiting from order to serving. The Food: Unfortunately, the biscuits and gravy was an amazing portion however, the biscuit was very dry and bland. The gravy was heavy on the flower and had a weird bouillon aftertaste with no sausage in it whatsoever. So that really kills the enthusiasm. The corned beef and Hash came out of a can so it was bland, but the hashbrowns were fried upon request and came out really well. For some reason, paying $4 for a cup of coffee or $3.50 for a glass of iced tea just was not tempting. I'm glad I did not try the steak because it the menu not even describe what kind of steak you get for the breakfast plate. ☹️No Military or 1st Responder Discounts☹️

Over the place is clean and more or less friendly but the food was just bland for what I ordered. The orange juice was fizzy and tart basically a day away from being experied and the other customer barely touched there's so it's clear sub-consiously their thinking the same if they don't recognize my picture is basically of juice sitting their for 15 minutes in each table all at the same level. The egg thing I ordered I'm pretty sure they got my order slightly here nothing horrid just not the ratio of eggs to egg whites I asked more maybe just bad communication only part. It lacked spice and flavor so I drowned it in hot sauce. Same for the hash browns just bland. The best thinklg was the slice of bread and packets of jelly from a warehouse. I just give the food a 3 it won't kill you but I could have made this better in my home though I'm sure they have better items on the menu that my health it foods but being healthy isn't an excuse for mediocre flavor. Overall I just would go out of my way next time I come back to visit my family in thousand oaks id prob just chose the next place down the road I will say the folks are nice but the food was a let down for the day I choose to eat out
The atmosphere is very bland, and so was the food. The staff is extremely inattentive and took forever to even take our order. We waited probably 40 minutes for our food to be served, only for them to forget parts of the order.
I was excited to eat here because it had a 4.8 rating but I do not agree. My pancakes were rubbery. The potatoes were dry little cubes that didn't come together cohesively with the onion and bell peppers in one comforting home style dish. I just wasn't happy with it. :(. The servers were pleasant and attentive.
