Very nice place... great service... good food. A great place to get away to...
Food was delicious and service was amazing.
Best of the Adirondacks!!
Went for dinner. Stayed for the campfire.
Food as usual is outstanding.
Good food friendly service.
Great taste and place
The REAL Adirondack experience
Excellent food. Very clean. Great place.
Our meals were delicious with very generous portions. The staff were all friendly and cheerful. Had a wonderful stay in the lodge too.
Had lunch here at the end of July the mountain views are absolutely amazing food was excellent. Can't wait to try dinner there.
Beautiful place to be! Waitress was lovely. We will recommend and return.
I really love the trails they had to hike and i loved the view from out my window every morning
The ultimate Adirondack lodge experience, you will be impressed by the accommodations and the views.
What a great place to have lunch and enjoy a wonderful view. So serene and peaceful.
This place is absolutely beautiful and offered one of the best meals I have ever had. My boyfriend was just as impressed with his meal, and we were just amazed by the beautiful view. Great service, quiet setting for a romantic Saturday night dinner date. We will definitely be back and will be staying at the resort next time! Highly recommend.
Food was good, ambiance was rustic, views are spectacular!

We had a lovely meal with a beautiful view!
What a place! Overlooking Lake 13 in the Adirondacks. My salmon was cooked to perfection. Joshua was an excellent waiter. Highly recommend.
We arrived as a couple unaware reservations were required. Fortunately they provided a seat and my wife and I had a wonderful dinner with a stunning view. Both food and service were on par and have nothing but good things to say!
Very nice place. Food was great. Friendly service.
Such a neat, cozy place. It was a bit of a drive for us, we went to meet up with friends for dinner and it was amazing! Unfortunately we didn't get to stay there, but would definitely look into it in the future! The restaurant is HIGHLY recommended!!
This was a real surprise how upscale the food was for the location. Pork loin and crab cake that we had were both excellent.
We had a great New Years eve dinner. Food was fantastic. Service was very friendly. Atmosphere was real Adirondacks. To bad the weather didn't cooperate. Will definitely be back.
had a wonderful lunch with my boyfriend. we will be coming back to stay overnight. the lodge is beautiful and so cozy. what a perfect winter wonderland.

The restaurant is a good place with a pretty view which gives value for the money spent.
Busy but food was good it filled the spot!
Great atmosphere
Menu has something for everyone. Staff is excellent. The view is great.
The menu is limited, but what they have on offer is quite good. Great Adirondack Lodge ambience: they have an actual for burning in the fireplace, comfortable chairs, nice view, etc.
Beautiful original cabin, great atmosphere. Friendly staff, food was good but the only reason it didn’t reach 5 star.
Relaxing, rustic beautiful view from the pub. Recommended after a ski, hike or bike. Friendly staff.
We came here after a day of hiking and kayaking and swimming. What a gorgeous restaurant. We were seated a spectacular view of the mountains. Our server was great, and was really sweet and patient with our kids. The salad was delicious, my husband said his elk burger was “okay” and my vegetarian risotto was really not good. It was bland and almost tasted kind of weird. Given our busy busy day, I ate some of it anyways. I pointed out that I hadn’t gotten my asparagus side dish, and the server said it was chopped up in the risotto - it was green beans and not the side that came with the $28(!!) risotto. I wish I had tried a different veg option, as the risotto just didn’t cut it. Generally, a great place, just really overpriced for the quality you get.
Had dinner there 8-8-2024. The roasted Brussels were outstanding. I ordered the ribeye steak for $40. It was cooked to perfection but the chef left too much fat and tendons on the outside. The steak was covered with a mushroom/brown sauce which was way too salty. The mashed potatoes were fine but the asparagus should have been trashed because they were so out of season and fibrous.i think the asparagus was left over from the previous wedding. I had a glass of Malbec that was just on the edge of turning bad. I was very disappointed by the quality which made this an overpriced meal.
Had two dinners at the Log House Restaurant while staying at the Garnet Hill Lodge. Reservations are currently required and somewhat limited due to COVID-19 and staffing limitations. Take out is also available. First dinner was a well-prepared medium rare New York Strip Steak served alongside a mountain of mashed potatoes. Second dinner was a disappointing overcooked burger with fries. Warning: The servings are gigantic.

The food looked better than it tasted. Not terrible, but not worth the price.
The Lodge is beautiful and the surrounding landscape equally stunning. While the food seemed tasty, it was hard to be sure because it got cold in the chafing trays. We mentioned it and someone appeared to come and check the temperature, but didn't make it any warmer. The baked potatoes didn't even start to melt the butter, the pulled pork stuck together in clumps, and the apple crisp was cold. The salad was very nice and the scones were very good.

We have a cabin in North River and have been going to the Log House Restaurant for almost 4 years. As a vegan I was always so impressed with the menu options - an eggplant dish, a salad with tempeh, a beyond burger - there were options. We went this evening and were told the menu was rotating and that there was nothing for a vegan other than a house salad (and trust me, no vegan/vegetarian is excited about just having a house salad for dinner, especially in an elevated culinary dining experience). Also, it didn't seem as if the server wanted to have a conversation about what the kitchen might be able to offer. This was the first time we have ever got up and left a restaurant. It is so sad as this was our go to - and now that Basil and Wicks and Bar Vino are gone, our little town is really struggling for quality food and excellent service. I sure hope you will take into consideration that having a plant forward item on your menu is a positive and to treat folks with dietary needs as something other than a bother.
Vacationed nearby. Beautiful place and view! Service great! Italian wedding soup very good. Mahi mahi way too salty to eat. Asparagus was excellent. Strip steaks were not cooked medium as requested. Both rare. No dates for bacon wrapped appetizer available so could not get that which we were looking forward to.

Beautiful place, TERRIBLE service for dinner tonight. We’d phoned for a 7pm reservation and was told the earliest would be 8. Ok, it’s a Friday night. We arrive at 8, and the place is solidly empty. Food was marginal. I left feeling disappointed.
I got married at Garnet Hill Lodge, and while it is a stunning location- we had an incredible amount of difficulty day of with the owner/manager & wedding planner Mindy. There were a lot of surprises, and it was really stressful working with her. I would not recommend using this location without hiring an experienced external wedding planner.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant last night. I tried to make a reservation for a large party (nine people), but no one answered the phone after multiple attempts. We decided to drive over, expecting it wouldn’t be an issue since the place was far from full—there were only one or two parties dining at the time. When we arrived, the server immediately told us they couldn’t seat us because we didn’t have a reservation. We explained that we had tried calling but couldn’t get through, and she casually mentioned that no one had been working the phone that day. We even offered alternative solutions, such as splitting into smaller tables, ordering takeout, or having part of the group eat elsewhere, but every suggestion was met with an excuse. Eventually, someone else came out and said they could seat us in 30 minutes, but by that point, the tone and attitude made us feel unwelcome and disregarded. Overall, the experience was frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant.
I was rudely turned away from this restaurant last night. I wanted to make a reservation because I was bringing a large party (nine people) to the restaurant. After calling, I wasn’t able to reach anyone behind the phone so we drove over. Once we arrived, the place had one or two parties inside. The server insisted that they weren’t able to seat us because we were a large party without a reservation. The restaurant was not even half way full. We explained we tried to make a reservation on the phone but nobody was able to answer to which she replied there was no one working the phone today. We offered a couple of suggestions like splitting up our group into multiple tables, taking food to go, even just half of us eating and the other half going to another restaurant. She had an excuse for every suggestion. Afterwards someone else came out and said they could seat us in 30 minutes. It felt like they were talking at us instead of to us. I left feeling unwelcome and upset about the experience. Would not recommend
We were so excited to go here based on reviews. Drove 40 minutes from our house. We had reservations for two. Took 15 minutes to get seated when there were only 4 tables occupied? Then took another 20 to get drinks and another 20 for appetizers. Service was the same at all tables. A family next to us never got their meals and they had been there longer than us! Not sure what the issue was but obviously there was a problem in the kitchen or with staffing. We wound up paying for drinks and apps and then went to The Bull House which is FAB. Only bright spot at the log house was our waitress Lucy. She was Very nice and apologetic. UPDATE: the General Mgr called me the very next morning, was very concerned, and was going to look into what happened. I was SO IMPRESSED and we will definitely try again!
