Excellent dinner. Homemade stuffing with the roast turkey dinner was great and the meal was a very good sized portion. Stewed green beans were surprisingly good too! The homemade blue cheese dressing was just wow! So good! Wait staff was attentive and friendly with the just right balance as to be welcome but not over doing it. Well make this a regular stop on our way through the area regularly. Next time I'll try the homemade eclairs but I was too full this time.
The Manhattan clam chowder was the best I've ever had! The service was great too, our waitress was so nice.
My family and I have been craving diner food with the true diner experience. We got that and much more! The service was amazing, from the young man who sat us down, to our waitress. Polite doesn't describe them well enough! She was talking, attentive, and on point with everything. The food was delicious! There is nothing like a burger from a diner! I can't wait to go back! Breakfast is next!
I went there in a party of 17 people. I had the rueben not sure if I spelled that correctly. It was one of the best I've had in a while and everyone else in our party didn't have any problems. The was delicious from all parties. Our waitress was awesome and she made us all laugh alot. You don't get that alot these days. This is definitely a 5 star 🌟 diner.
Everything was wonderful. It's an oldies looking atmosphere with very friendly servers. The only concern we had was that there were a lot of Flys in the restaurant due to the door being kept open to keep the place cool. We wound up leaving with our food we couldn't even finish eating.
This is the first time for my wife and I to stop at Country View Diner. We were very impressed. Parking was plentiful and easy. The staff was quick to seat us and take our order. We received drinks and soup quickly which were very tasty. There was a bit of a wait for our meal but our waitress, Dawn, explained that every dish is cooked fresh. They had 3 cooks on today so they cooked my fish with a vegetable blend sauce which was delicious. the side of mashed was also very good. The side of green beans needed a little salt however. My wife ordered Chicken Pot Pie which came fresh out of the oven in it's own dish. That too was very good. Portion size was large for the very reasonable price.
I always enjoy going here. The wide selection of food comes out SUPER fast and the staff is nice. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner all day. It's full of old people most of the time. The dining area feels spacious and bright. It's typical diner food and there isn't much creativity in the meals, but you know what to expect when you order and won't be disappointed. The extensive menu pleases anyone and it is well priced for the amount you get. I like this diner better than any others I've been to. Oh, don't order the chocolate cake. It is very dry.
Wonderful little place! Clean and bright. The French toast was made with an inch-thick slab of in-house made Challah bread. Bacon was crispy but not burned. Asked for eggs over medium and they were cooked perfectly! Priced very reasonably. Will definitely stop in again if in this area again!
The Eggs Florentine were so delicious - best I've had! Such a nice waitress too! Companion had a plain egg white omelette with well done potatoes and toast - done right the first time. Waitress made sure the correct level of "burn" was placed on toast and potatoes before delivering to our table. Great experience!
I came in last night missing my mom and hoping for a home cooked meal. I sat down and related this information to my waitress and she suggested the turkey dinner. I gladly accepted. Everything was delicious and exactly what I was hoping for, she brought me a box to bring home the rest and to my surprise her and her co worker had paid for my meal. I left with overwhelmed happy tears in my eyes and just had to leave a review and a thank you. <3 life had not been kind to me and I'm thankful they were.
This quaint little diner is a perfect pit stop on the way home from a ski trip. Perfectly informal and low effort for a pit stop on a car ride. The staff is friendly and the food is good (and cheap!!) I liked this place because its a cool retro/vintage diner but without leaning into the nostalgia that a lot of old "Shiny Diner" type places rely on.
I took my father out for Father's day and this was actually our third choice because everywhere else was closed. I've never been here before but I will happily go back. The food was amazing, the staff were all very and it was a great experience. For a small diner I've never heard of this place is amazing. Even the land around the place is nice. It was a wonderful bonding experience and I'm very thankful to everyone there working on that holiday.
Great diner that has that good old fashioned 70's 80's diner feel to it with excellent food and great prices. Owner was very nice and the waitresses were more than accommodating. Although it is an hour away from home we will be returning.
Prices were really reasonable & service was friendly, fast, and attentive! All of the waitresses were really nice and we got seated & drinks right away. My only complaint is that the diner was kind of run down (especially the taped up booths) but overall I would return! I was able to get a bowl of soup for only $3 & change! Cheaper than elsewhere! Portions are generous as well!
This gem has always been a favorite for me. But, it's hubby's first time here. Everything was just right! Appetizers, drinks, salads, entrees & of course dessert! The server was promt, very friendly & polite. The place is clean and inviting. And the prices are very fair and competitive. We'll definitely be back when we are in the area.
Too bad it's for sale. This is THEE BEST diner experience we've EVER had. And we frequent diners a lot.
Typical dinner with delicious under rated food. Many of there items are made there! Waited kept up with my coffee!
Loved this place. I got the lemon pepper chicken and rice special and it was amazing. After being on the road for 6 hours it was SO nice to have a warm real meal and not fast food. And the waitress was all by herself but was always so nice and accommodating and worked her tail off.
Excellent food. A large variety menu. Homemade and very fresh ingredients! My husband had chicken parm and I had pasta with butter and garlic and grilled chicken-wow! Was it ever so good!!! Also, the bean soup was to die for!!!!
Absolutely love eating at diners! I love all the choices you have, and Country View Diner didn't disappoint! The food was great, and so was the service. I met a friend I hadn't been out to eat with in a while, and had a wonderful time! The atmosphere was great, and even though they were busy, we lingered, and never once were we made to feel like they wanted our booth. Country View is in my "backyard," and I plan on becoming a regular customer! 5 stars across the board!
Food was good, waitress was excellent.
Fast friendly service. Excellent food and coffee.
My waitress Stephanie was a sweetheart . Very attentive. She was very busy but did not miss anything. Made sure our drinks were filled . And even cut up my moms steak with out making us feel like a bother we never asked she just did it in the sweetest way. She is a gem . We have come here for a couple years shes by far the best
Great service. The food is always good.
The food and service was great. The waitress, Darlene, took good care of us. Very friendly, sociable and helpful. I would very much eat there again. If we lived in the area would make it a regular place to eat. Wide variety to choose from on the menu. Us they played great background music. Very reasonably priced compared to other places we've eaten at.
Was there to eat lunch while getting Bike serviced at Max BMW. Enjoyed. Also, I thought the pie was nice. Checkout was a little confusing, but got it worked out. overall, nice.
Food was excellent. We left stuffed! The waitress could have come over and checked, as I did want a soda refill, but was unable to get one. Luckily I had my water still on the table. Other than that small thing, all-in-all a wonderful experience. Good Prices. Great Food.
I stopped for lunch with my son. The restaurant was clean, quiet, and well lit. The food was great - we both had souvlaki and fries - and reasonably priced. Our server was friendly, positive and attentive. I love diners and this is on my list of favorites.
This is my favorite Diner in the capital district area, the service is fast and polite waitstaff. The food is normal Diner-fare with some Greek specialty food thrown in the mix. The Hamburger Deluxe is my go to You get a Hamburger on a nice oversized bun with Lettuce and tomato and a heap of fries on the side and coleslaw, pickles and a couple of onion rings for good measure. At the time of this review Jan 2025 the price is $10.95.
This cool retro diner has an absolutely charming little cocktail bar right in the middle of the dining room! It was also a delite to eat at the counter and stare lovingly at all the great pies on display in the dedicated dessert cooler.
Great Greek food. Great atmosphere and service.
Great breakfast, convenient location, and good portions for a very reasonable price
Best food in this area! It's been our go-to place for 30 years. Always look forward to seeing Robin and Holly.
I had a nice meal at the country view diner a few days ago. Having never been here before I was impressed with classic diner vibe and set up. We had a nice waitress who was fantastic. The prices are fair and the portions are hardy. I had the turkey club triple decker, it was great. I also really enjoyed the coleslaw. I will definitely come back here in the future.
My wife and I stopped on our way to Vermont. Our waitress Kayla was very cheerful and friendly. My wife ordered the Chef Salad, and I ordered the Broiled Halibut. Her chef salad was huge, and all the ingredients were very fresh. The broiled halibut was awesome! It was served in lemon garlic sauce that was light and not overpowering. It came with chicken and rice soup, which was excellent. This is a great diner and the prices are very reasonable.
The furniture was well kept and cozy. The waiting staff were attentive but just a bit slow at refilling, but it was busy as it should be on a Sunday morning. The food was good and the portions were perfect. I'd also like to add the prices for everything on the menu make it a perfect place for college students to have a nice diner experience without hurting their wallet. Overall, great experience and I'll be coming again to try their dinner food sometime.
Absolute perfection is extremely rare...as it should be. That said, we eat there just about every time we travel to my relatives in NH, so that is pretty much all I have to say about that. 😎 Huge menu. Big portions. Really nice staff. And that cool diner vibe. I definitely recommend!!!
Service was fast and staff was pleasant. Food was cooked good. However the kitchen staff music and the music over the radio kinda sucked for the dining experience. Pick one or the other.
What I love about this place is that they're really flexible and that's super important to me. Despite being a country dinner they make pretty modern dishes and have no problem adding stuff you ask for on your food, or at least they will try to find alternatives when they cant. This really brings this place very high on my favorites list. My only problem is that they tend to prioritize larger groups sometimes and that sucks. I tipped way more than the table she prioritized. It' was nice that she apologized to me personally once she noticed the tip that was nice at least accountability shows real maturity I'll definitely be eating here often.
What you'd expect from any diner...nothing overwhelming unique or impressive. Turkey, ham and bacon club with cheese was pretty good. More than enough sandwich for 1 person. Fellow diner was not impressed at all with his shrimp scampi and scallops...then again if you're looking for good seafood a diner is usually the last place you'd find it.
My wife and I had early dinner Wed 10/23. Nice, clean and comfortable diner on Hoosick Rd. Menu has all traditional choices. Soup or salad part of dinner specials along with dessert. Food generous and delicious, and we both had leftovers 😋
Great place for a quick meal . We live about 35 miles East of this restaurant and anytime we go to Albany or The Airport we usually stop here . It's very clean , the staff is cordial and the food is basic but good . Would recommend .
This place has some some of the best food in all Capital District Area. I can't believe this secret is not out yet. I had the arepas filled with pulled pork. It is absolutely amazing. They serve it with 4 sauces. I sauce is hot sause, venezuelan sauce, cilantro sauce, mayo/ ketchup mix . I had it with fried yuca, sweet fried plantains. Best food in downtown Troy. If you have not been at this place, you are missing out on great food. The rice and black beans are really good. Try this place, you will not regret it!
Great food Good service Good prices Dine in or take out Clean public restrooms The tables are thoroughly cleaned between customers Cash or credit cards accepted There are high chairs There is handicapped parking and handicapped access They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and desserts The menu is pretty extensive Plenty of parking spaces Hours are: Sunday 7am to 10pm Monday through Saturday 7am to 11pm
After a long day of driving, and a hard boiled egg for breakfast, I felt like a hearty lunch/dinner. Great chicken salad club sandwich on rye toast, coleslaw (the yummy kind), and delicious super crispy fries. How can I go wrong, and I didn't at Country View Diner on Route 7 in Troy, NY. Stop by, they have amazing dinner specials. Right across from Tractor Supply. Enjoy!
Very tasty food, clean and spacious dining area, plentiful parking, and conveniently located.
Classic staple. Great for a larger party. Always reliable diner goods and a good selection of desserts too. My daughter loves the strawberry cake 🎂
11/26/19: We stopped in for lunch on the way south. Nice place, friendly staff. Good food. Free WiFi. Tapioca pudding-small pearl & slightly over cooked :( still tasted good. The GF had the grilled chicken- it was really good! I had the Turkey wrap, it was ok but no need to get again, will try something else next time! Thanks -
Booths are tight if your a large person. 300lb or more. Our server was literally eating right next to us in the booth and was on her phone so my drink wasn't refilled at all and I don't feel I need to ask when you are within sound distance of hearing an empty straw.. Might come back but only if in the area.
Very good bison burger and navy bean soup, the coffee is great too very flavorful. I will go again soon.
On our road trip to Vermont we stumbled in to this little gem. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the staff and walket to our seats. Their menu is so big that I had trouble deciding what to eat. Poetio s are huge and prices are very reasonable. We also had the cheesecake that is. Aked in house along with all the other desserts. Also the staff went out of their way to make os feel at home. Next time we are up on this area we will make sure we stop again.
Today was my first visit to this restaurant. The gentleman who seated me seemed a bit annoyed, not the way I would've liked meal to start. The dining area was less than 1/2 full, yet it took quite some time for a waitress to take my order. She apologized for the delay upon arrival at my table. I ordered a waffle with blueberry preserves and a side order of corn beef hash. The waitress offered me 1/2 of an order of hash, which i agreed to take instead of a full order. While waiting, employees who were clearing tables as customers left created a very loud atmosphere of dishes and silverware bouncing off each other in the tray. The waffle had the most dense texture I've ever had with a waffle. My expectation was a light texture like that almost every waffle I've ever eaten in the past. I was only able to eat half of it because it was so dence. After finishing only 1/2 of my meal, I was ready to call it quits. Oh, and remember that 1/2 order of hash? I was charged 3/4 the price of a full order, but only got 1/2 an order. I will not be returning to this diner. Overall, I'm not happy, and don't recommend
Ate lunch there today . Food was ok. We had stuffed clams for app and veal parm for our meals . Stuff clams ok just smothered with cheese on top. ( no need for cheese on them ) . Veal was good , sauce was very plain no flavor . And once again way to much cheese smothering the veal . The wait staff was great , no complaints there .
Service was great! Prices were reasonable. Wasn't impressed with dried on lipstick on my 'clean' coffee cup. Pancakes were extremely dry and my scrambled extra well eggs were very runny. Overall not too bad, I'd be willing to give it another try.
Quiet, (almost too quiet) diner near lots of shopping amenities along that stretch of road. Popped in for some "brinner," aka breakfast for dinner, on a Sunday evening and found maybe 5 cars in the parking lot. An equal number of tables were being served inside. The hostess greeted us and escorted our party to our table, pausing just long enough to drop the silverware down on the tabletop, and slide the menus from her fingertips before gliding away with a curt "Enjoy your meal." While we perused the menu, we were entertained by the number of flies crawling up the window of our booth. They made frequent trips to buzz us during the meal, but ultimately, seemed to just want to escape the restaurant. We were concerned, at this point. Our server came by, pleasant enough, and brought our drinks after a different server delivered complimentary waters. This surprised her (as we had double the water we expected), but she soldiered in, taking our order, verifying it, and then delivering it shortly, thereafter. The kitchen staff did well to prepare the food quickly, and each dish was cooked to our liking. The cheese fries were a hit, as were the eggs. The bacon was cooked crispy, but not burnt, as it was a surprise hit at the table. The pancakes/flapjacks were underwhelming, tasting both bland and a bit rubbery. Prices were as expected in this pay-for-what-you-get diner. In a pinch, you've got yourself a meal and service with a smile (from the wait staff).
Got the fish lunch today and the fish was very over cooked very dry. Cocktail sauce was very lumpy and my soda Dr.Pepper didn’t have any syrup from the soda machine it tasted like water. Best part of my lunch was the Dessert strawberry short cake was very good moist and not too sweet. And the waitress was pregnant so she was doing her best too keep up with everything so shout out too her! great customer service quick and responsive.
Is diner is very old outdated needs to be renewed complete overhauled That's just my opinion food was very basic and I believe someone should have asked if they minded tomatoes on their sandwich for a tuna melt which was not listed on the menu wings were very basic hot but basic we got full bellies and left wouldn't suggest this place to anybody
I love diners! I got the pastrami sandwich on Rye with fries. There was plenty of meat on my sandwich. However, the bottom slice of bread was so soggy it fell apart when I picked up my sandwich. As for the fries, they were not the least bit hot and tasteless. Very disappointing
Food was decent, but my omelette was overcooked on the outside and runny on the inside. The worst part was the service though. They weren’t friendly or welcoming. We got our food, and no one came back to our table until we had been done for a while. Our coffee and water cups sat empty the entire meal. They finally showed up with the check and we had to ask for refills. Then headed up to the front to pay, and had to interrupt the cashier who was busy playing on her phone. With all the other diners around, I’d pass on this one.
My husband and I like to try diners around the area as they typically have hearty fare. We stopped at Country View in Brunswick, NY for lunch. We were seated promptly, but it took a while for a server to approach us. She eventually took our order and I asked for water. My husband received his coffee, but the server said someone else would bring my water and no one did. The restaurant was fairly empty, so I was puzzled as to why I did not receive the water. The server did bring it after the food was served. I ordered the broiled seafood dinner. The seafood selections were tasty, but the vegetables had an odd taste and I did not finish them. My husband ordered breakfast and his food was fine. The server never checked back with us and I had to hunt her down to ask for boxes for our leftovers. I normally leave very positive reviews and generous tips, but there really is no excuse for lack of service on a very quiet day.
This diner is not great. The food was bland and flavorless. The milk for the coffee was definitely spoiled. When I brought that to the attention of the waitress she just said "so you'll be using the half and half?" No effort to open a new one. Which means she kept serving spoiled milk to customers. Between the bland food and the bad service I'd skip this place.
Breakfast of eggs, hash, potato and toast. Eggs were fine, hash was brown and didn't taste good, potato was average. Asked for replacement silverware since setting had dried food on fork.
The food was terrible. McDonald's makes a better burger. It was served with 2 black, greasy things that were supposed to be onion rings. Burger and fries were lukewarm. My husband's chicken rice soup was mostly rice, hardly any chicken. His chicken parm sandwich was very bland. Waitress seemed to be bored. Definitely not worth stopping there again.
We had seafood scallops and a combination. It taste like it's from a box in the freezer the fish thin and dry not that good. There homemade soup was good.
Let me make it simple, do not eat here! Save yourself the money and the trouble! I went for breakfast, and they gave me butter packets that had clearly already been on someone else's plate-the packets had jelly remnants all over them. The home fries that came with my meal were cold when they were served. They had 1 bottle of ketchup for my section of the restaurant! The waitress took it from another table to give it to us, and she took it from us (without asking) before we were done with it to give it to another table! She was very unfriendly and not professional. This place is just scary! DO NOT EAT HERE, save yourself the time and the trouble! I would never set foot in this place again! I was nice, I paid my bill and left a tip; but, I wouldn't go back there if I was at risk of starving. What kind of place gives you sticky butter packets that have clearly already been on another plate, without at least wiping them if you're going to re-use them? They shouldn't even be re-used, but... Also, 1 ketchup bottle for the entire section, so you need to take and pass it from table to table? The owner must be really cheap! The place was just not clean and borderline unsanitary. I wouldn't eat there. If you choose to eat there, good luck! I just considered my money lost and moved on! You will not get anything close for what you pay! We only went there because other places wound up unexpectedly closed; and, as I said, I would NEVER go there again! Good luck if you do! It was disgusting!
The Health Department should definitely inspect this place! Food was old, stale, with condiments that tasted like the Dollar Store. My utensils were sticky and still smelled like old food from whoever used them before me. These weren't hard water stains. Nope. Fork, knife and spoon were sticky and dirty! Had to protect our "food" from the flies several times. I ordered a waffle. It was stale, tasted like an old dirty freezer and I could still taste it 14 hours later. Made me sick. They plunked down a plastic container with syrup and butter for my waffle. The container was filthy, and every condiment packet had rancid syrup or butter all over it. If this is what is presented at the table, I can't even imagine what the kitchen must look like. This was second visit here. First one was similar experience. Thought I'd try again. Big mistake. Avoid at all costs.
We came in and ordered since we haven't been here in a long time, last time was great this time not so much. Food came quick which was good but the buns were burnt and food was tossed all on the plate. Then they had to get a new bun and switch everything and the cups had black stuff all over and they looked like it was a inconvenience. We had to switch out silverware 2x. It was just not a good experience and we won't be back. Waitress was new but nice but can't come back to this place.
The staff was not friendly or attentive. They never came back to the table to see how things were. The food was under cooked and cold. For the quality of food your getting it is not worth the price your paying.
Salty soup and gravy. Rotten potato. A mess in the toilet and so many flies. I had stomach issues soon after eating. On the plus side, the server was really nice, the dining room was clean, and the music was good. I wanted to like this place, but my experience was bad.
We have been trying diners in our travels enjoying home style meals. I ordered fried fisherman’s plater. Told it had deep sea scallops. Ended up being bay scallops from a frozen box. In fact everything was from from a frozen box. Was edible but not great. Price was on high side considering what I got. Worst thing though was right after we went to a show Had to get up every 5 minutes to got to men’s room. Never again. Don’t go here so many better options close by!
First time we were here was great. This time it was awful. For was very bland greeter was very unfriendly our waitress brought our check without even asking if we were done. When we left we couldn't find her anywhere to give her the tip. I then went up to pay and asked for 2 pieces of cheesecake to go. I paid for 2 and when we got home and looked later that night tbere was only 1 piece. Will never go again
The food was inedible. This was the worse food I have ever tried. We left with out etaking more than two bites. Good was mushy and flavorless. The staff was very friendly. Typical diner atmosphere. Worst food I’ve ever had. I even have a slightly belly ache after two bites. Pretty price for the quality.
My husband and I popped in to this diner yesterday after a long drive back from Vermont. My husband had veggie omelette which he said was good. I ordered a pastrami sandwich special on rye! I know I’m not in Brooklyn but that bread is not rye and the one slice of preheated awful pastrami is not it either. Don’t put it as a special if you can’t do it right and don’t give people one slice of pastrami! My husband said the bathroom was filthy!!! Never will go back!
Food was terrible, under cooked and bitter taste. Man was screaming on his phone the entire meal. Possible owner. Definitely do not recommend.
Severely disappointing. My girlfriend and I were in the area and were trying to figure out what to do for dinner. Eventually we decided to go to Country View Diner. Pulling up to the diner the parking lot was empty which seemed strange for a saturday night during what should be dinner rush. We were seated quickly as staff seemed plentiful and there were very few customers. The menus we received had too many options to choose from and were poorly organized. My girlfriend ordered french onion soup as an appetizer followed by a philly cheese steak. The french onion soup had a weird aftertaste and had too much bread. The philly cheese steak had very gristly meat and the mushrooms had a weird texture to them. The fries that came as a side were the only good part of her meal I ordered an appetizer sampler that came with wings, potato skins and mozzerella sticks. I also ordered a ruben that I never recieved and asked the waitress to remove from our bill as I no longer wanted it after the quality of the food we were served. The mozzarella sticks that I got were pretty good aside from the hair that was on them, The wings seemed to be about half the size of wings at other restaurants but they tasted alright. finally my potato skins were over cooked along with the bacon being over cooked. Our waitress was kind but inattentive. Along with forgetting our food we only saw her after we had nearly finished our meal and after a very long wait for her to give us our bill. The restaurant itself was clean and appeared to be well taken care of and I do understand that mistakes or bad nights happen. A lot of the reviews for this place appear to be positive. I hope that other people have a better experience than we did but I can't recommend this restaurant personally.
I would not waste my time on this place. The food was terrible. The breakfast potatoes were as if they were yesterday's and thrown on the grill again today! The sausage was mushy with no flavor! We were not informed of the extra charge for our soup! Hostess/Cashier was as welcoming as a flea on a dog! She really got grumpy when asked about a military discount!! It would help if the server acted as if she wanted to be there!
We went here with our inlaws this week for lunch. Before I say anything let me mention I actually do love going to diners. It's such a cool part of Americana. I don't expect it to be amazing nor do I think it should compare to fine dining. I get it. However this place...omg...horrible. It looks cute inside like any country diner would. I'm good with that. But the food was pretty bad. The menu on the placemats we were told is not the menu. ok. So we we're given another paper, which is the real menu (because this we are told has listed what they do currently offer the other doesnt) . Again ok, I can roll with that. Now, 2 of us don't eat meat or dairy so we actually chose this place because they have veggie burgers on the menu. (I checked before coming and besides all diners have a veggie burger.) We've been to many in the Capital District and out of state too. Well... after ordering the waitress comes back and says they don't have veggie burgers and she doesnt know why. Ughh... I'm a trooper, so even though Im disappointed because we only came here specifically for that...I take one for the team and decide to just get the blueberry pancakes. In fact we all order them. Should be fine right...It's pretty standard. Add some home fries and were good. Um...NO! What came was plain pancakes. No blueberries in them to be found. I'm thinking it's just a mistake. Nope, next arrives a separate dish with some truely tasteless thick blueberry pie filling from. a can. Yes, I know it's from a can because my grandmother used to use this exact same stuff in her pies that no one ate. W e all thought it was just awful. Even the pancakes were dry and bland. That's honestly the first time I've ever not finished pancakes...ever. I ate one myself and all 4 of us left our plates unfinished. I just need to add that the waitress was...well she was her. Not nice, not mean, didn't care much about anything really. I say this because I am in customer service in my own business. My family also owned a restaurant as well. I personally treat my customers as does my family very well. It's not hard to do. She would never work in my business nor the restaurant after seeing her demeanor. She is burnt out and should retire. I'm not saying this to be mean, she is hurting an already struggling business. Truth be told I am local. I hear so many bad things about the diner but I didn't believe it. I wanted to give them a chance to ...I wanted it to be at least reasonably good. But instead it was unfortunatly so bad that none of us would ever go back. That's really sad. It won't be hard to correct what's wrong. Lastly...the bathrooms... holy...really gross. Come on, that's important. Sorry this is a bad review. I hope he owner takes heed because it could be a nice place if they cared to up their game just a little. I
Have been stopping here on road trips to visit family for ages. Has gone so far downhill! Hostess was short with us after we waited for many minutes to be acknowledged. Server didn’t acknowledge all members of the party and ended up having to stagger drink orders because she was so inattentive. My tuna melt was inedible — somehow hard, soggy, and cold all at once.* Iced coffee came without ice. Took three requests for another family member to get her toast (by the time she did, it was the wrong kind of toast and her eggs were gone and our meals were finished). Kids hot dog roll was soggy (and his hot dog came out ten minutes after everyone else was served). Bathrooms were a war zone. Floors throughout were wet and sticky. The whole place felt filthy. Family consensus after coming here for over a decade was that we won’t be back. *it was as if the tuna melt was made three hours earlier and then microwaved one hour before we arrived and then still served cold 🤔 Only pros I can think of: parking lot has plenty of spaces and the pancakes looked good. And my dad said his pot roast was “fine” (but he’ll eat anything 😉).
I ordered a turkey dinner today. Soup was warm but good. The meat was ok. The stuff poured on top was gravey, the stuffing was not recognized. Had a piece on apple in it. ????. It will be a long time till I can think about that meal again. We have had many fine meals there. Must be over
