Awesome dive bar with the best Bartenders in town, thanks Katie and Marshall!

One of my most favorite places to go when I'm in Truckee, California. When a train goes by they shake a pitcher of poker chips for the "Train Game". If you find yourself the lucky winner with a matching number on your stool, you win a free beer! I won three times in a row, while waiting for the Amtrak.

Love this bar in Truckee. It’s a dive bar lovers bar! Packed at night, super nice bartenders, chill by day. Regulars are super friendly.

One of the last two truly local dive bars in town, enter at your own RISK. Liquor up front. Billiards in the rear. Great staff send it!

Quintessential dive bar. My go to in Truckee. Inexpensive drinks, good bartenders, terrible pool table, lousy TVs that always play what you ask for. Couldn't be better.

I would suggest coming here w friends and blowing money on the jukebox and taking pics under the buffalo! Awesome bar. My ski day got rained out in Squaw so came here and it made everything better.

It's better than the pastime! Haha I don't buy Budweiser, but they do sell it here unlike the bar a few doors down. Free popcorn too. There is a pole on the bar top and bullet holes in the ceiling. It's definitely a vibe. Best dive bar in town. If Callahan's working, you're in for some great service. The atmosphere is very entertaining! Locals like Airek and the Dynamic Duo make the experience!

Despite the name it doesn't cater to tourists in the same way a lot of other places in town do - this is a local's hangout in the best way.

Cheap drinks, good music and a good time! You won't find fancy cocktails here... classic dive bar and that's how we like it! Located in historic downtown Truckee where the walls are filled with photographic memories and the room consumed with harmless heckling, dancing and laughter. Friendly service, pool table, jukebox, multiple tvs playing sports, 3 restrooms and a pole on the bar for the adventurous! Why not ;)

Terrific place with cool clientele and and cool bartenders.

Beer was cheap and cold Marshall was the dude, easy to get along with and very funny

Small town, hole in the wall (and ceiling - ask Crocker all about it!) bar - very friendly, even to tourist😉

Only place I know of in Truckee where you can get high end draught beers for under 5 bucks. 3 doors down the same beers are 7.

Really decent prices compared to the resort prices to be found pretty much everywhere else in the area. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere.

Stars because they were open later than the rest and had a pool table. I was dd with friends who wanted to let loose. Place was small, dirty, smelly and shady stuff going on in the back. Definitely not a tourist destination, nothing but locals at closing time.

Mr. Blue Hair then skipped song I paid $1 for with no reason given other than he thought the song was trash while rambling about generational gap. Proceeded to hit on my cousin and played his music, in an effort to impress her, even asked her what he should play. He was easily 10 years older than her! What a great way to to greet new people into the area, and expect them to come back to your dive bar! How did it end up like this....how did it up like this?

horrible vibe, if you want an aggressive sausage party, here ya go. place is gross, bartenders are even aggressive, I’ve never felt comfortable out of the couple times I’ve been there, especially as a woman. hopefully your experience is different.
