Avis sur BJ's Tyler
Sat in the bar area, Todd was my waiter bar tender. Had the BJ Hefeweizen and wings for me and my lady. The Sweet and Spicy Asian Glaze were delicious with enough spice. Mac and cheese balls were great. Todd is fantastic, great service.
Ate lunch with a small group after church, our server was the best- sweet and fast with our requests, no one's drink was ever empty or even low for that matter! The food was good, my club sandwich and my cousin's pizza were amazing but the chicken alfredo my son and mother ordered was a bit bland. The monkey bread dessert was outstanding, really good.
I loved everything about my visit to BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse. The company of friends made the biggest difference, but the restaurant was beautifully decorated, had excellent service, a great menu with lots of variety, and delicious food. I found it a little hard to hear the conversation because the music was a tad loud for me. But other than that, I would not have changed a thing. There was plenty of parking, no wait, and friendly service.
had a great experience eating here! the food was cooked well and tasted delicious. our server was very attentive and kind. came here with my family, and i would say it's definitely a great spot to go to no matter what age
We had a lovely experience with delicious, nutritious food. The salmon and burgers were served perfectly by our server, Rosa, who knew the menu and was great! TV’s available but great quiet atmosphere. No wait time. Vegetarian options. Desserts are scrumptious! Great beer, wine etc. selections. Great parking.
Wow! Go here and try the Prime Rib it's only avaliable on the weekends but wow. It's the best I've ever had. Cooked medium rare and it was perfect. I like to rate my dishes 0-10 I rarely find myself giving 9s this was a 9.3 seriously try it. The dessert was fantastic and the waiter was great.
We had some errands to run in Tyler… wife ordered some new glasses and we had an hour or so to kill so we went to BJ’s. I’ve been there about 6 times… wife says she hasn’t been there. I ordered a steak wedge salad… it was presented well and pretty good… I enjoyed it. Wife ordered ahi tuna salad. When I saw that she was pushing ahi tuna to the edge of the plate, I knew there was a problem. To her the ahi tuna was too old and tasted very fishy. Also… she’s not a tomato person… there were way too many tomatos and they were far from ripe. Whereas, I enjoyed mine, she will not be going back.
You can’t go wrong with the pazookies for dessert—they're always a hit! Most of their dishes are consistently good, which is why we keep coming back. Our go-to appetizer is the avocado rolls, and they never disappoint. This time, we decided to try a deep-dish pizza for the first time, and it was absolutely worth it—flavorful, cheesy, and perfectly baked. BJ’s continues to be a solid choice for a great meal, and we’ll definitely be back for more
I don’t usually review restaurants where I am from. But this one was just really good. Upon arriving, there was no one at the host's station, and it took some time before someone finally attended to me. Despite this initial hiccup, my experience improved significantly with the help of the server. Server: Devin Devin was incredibly personable and knowledgeable about the menu. She made everything pleasant and was extremely helpful throughout my visit. 13 Pizookie Meal Deal Burger: The burger was impressively juicy, enhanced by the flavorful homemade pickles. Despite the burger not being pink, it retained its juiciness and delicious taste. The fries were perfectly crispy and tasted great, with a homemade quality that stood out. However, the portion of fries could have been larger, or the plate itself could have been smaller to better match the serving size. Pizookie (Salted Caramel) The salted caramel pizookie was a delightful treat. The cookie was gooey, decadent, and absolutely delicious. The ice cream was soft but not overly so, and when paired with the cookie, it created a divine dessert experience.
Service was a little too slow for how empty the restaurant was on a Wednesday night. the waiting staff at the bar were really nice though! As far as the food, I did the $13 pizookie meal deal with the Italian chicken and a side salad, and overall would say it was good and a proportionate size for what I ordered. However, I am not sure if I plan on coming back simply due to the long wait times.
I took my sons out for lunch before a movie today. We arrived at noon (on a Monday), and it wasn't busy. There were only a few tables occupied with guests. The host was polite and professional and seated us at a booth. Our waiter, Rick, didn't take too long to come and ask for our drink orders. He was polite and friendly enough, but forgetful? I had asked him a question, which he said he would ask management and get back with me, and he never did. He also forgot to comp my dessert, although I had shown him my app reward when ordering it, and he said his computer already showed him everything about my online app profile. (😳 which I thought was kind of weird) He comped my dessert quickly enough when it was brought to his attention and was quite nice about it. He was good about checking in with us and refilling our drinks throughout our stay. As I said, it wasn't busy inside, so I'm not sure what took the kitchen so long to cook our orders, but we were there an hour and a half from arrival to departure, and it made us late getting to our movie showing. I ordered the Bacon Guacamole Burger with fries, and a Strawberry Daiquiri. My burger was so big I couldn't bite into it with the buns, so I removed them and ate it without them. I ordered it well done, and it came out perfectly and tasted very good. My fries came out cold, however. They would have been delicious had they been fresh and hot. My Daiquiri came with a lime in it, which is weird, Daiquiri's don't normally come with limes, and i hate the taste of limes, so every sip tasted off to me, making me wonder if it was in fact, a margarita, instead of a daiquiri. The hot fudge brownie pizzookie dessert was okay, i woukd have preferred if they had cooked the brownie part just a tad longer so it wasnt so soft and mushy. One son ordered the BBQ Tri Tip steak medium rare with mashed potatoes and fries, as well as a Berryburst pint and The Lucky Ducky. The little bathtub it comes in, with the little plastic duck in it, is so cute. He said both drinks tasted very good. He also said his steak and potatoes were very good and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal. My other son ordered the Rib Eye, well done, with a baked potato and French fries with a Long Island Iced Tea. He enjoyed his potatoes, but said the steak was too fatty, and would have preferred it to be seared longer, as it had a too-soft texture and he would have preferred the steak to have a bit firmer texture. It also lacked flavor and needed some seasoning for his preference. The baked potato was okay, just a normal baked potato. He said the LIIT was very strong and tasted good. Overall, we had a nice time, despite the long wait time to receive our food and my fries being cold. It's not a place I will probably visit again. It's a little pricey overall, and I would've enjoyed a meal somewhere else just as much or more, than I did here. My total bill, with tip, was $160 for 3 meals and 4 drinks.
I ordered the ribeye medium rare and it just tastes like fire and grill. Can’t taste the meat at all, had to drown my pieces in sauce to eat it. The Waitress was gracious enough to help get it sent back to the kitchen. I ordered a burger instead which was my fault after ordering the steak, it tasted exactly the same, best thing I had was the shrimp appetizer with the parmesan bread and the drinks.
My wife and I dined today at BJ’s in Tyler, right off Hwy 323. Decore was nice, booth was comfortable. We arrived at 4:30 and waited 15 minutes before someone came to our table to take our drinks order. My wife had a BJ’s signature brew, which she truly enjoyed. I ordered a Gin Martini, extra dry, with Bombay Saphire Gin. This drink fell way short, both in volume and in taste. This definitely was only half a martini as it was only half-way up on the martini glass. Lots of ice shards watered down this martini that fell way short, and I think they tried to make up for the lack of liquor in this drink by adding in 3 olives to take up more volume. My taste buds are not dead, so I can tell you that this drink was NOT made with Bombay Saphire, that’s for sure. I’m pretty sure they made a substitution. When the server delivered our drinks, and I saw that the Martini was only half full, I asked if it had evaporated on the way over. Instead of the server getting the hint and offering to top off the drink, she simply laughed and said, “That’s what I thought, too.” My wife had the protein bowl, and she stated that it was very delicious and that the portion size was quite generous. I had the grilled Atlantic Salmon with steamed broccoli, and I substituted the rice pilaf with mashed potatoes instead. My meal was delicious; though the salmon was a little dry. The salmon was draped over the mashed potatoes, which were topped with a melted white cheese & lemon sauce that was light to the taste and quite delicious, though the sauce was in short supply on my plate. While the martini fell far short of what I would expect from a place as nice as BJ’s, especially at the $14.95 price tag, I would’ve expected the wait staff to offer to fix the drink situation, but she didn’t care enough to offer to fix it; she simply asked if I wanted another. I told her “Not at that price.” At the end of our meal, upon paying the bill with our wait staff, I made sure to tell her that though the meal was good, the drink was cheapened and below par. So, folks, if you patronize BJ’s, go for the food, but don’t go for the drinks.
It’s been a while since I’ve been to this location and I probably won’t be back again soon. I ordered the Enlightened Mediterranean Chicken Bowl without onions and cucumbers. You’ll see in the photo that the cucumbers were “mostly” removed. Even more disappointing was the incredibly slow service some in our group experienced. Meals slowly emerged from the kitchen and our bills took forever to reach the table. We arrived shortly after 12:30pm and, despite an average size lunch crowd, we were scrambling to leave by 1:55pm to make 2:00 meetings.
i came to try bj’s again after not coming for several months after my boyfriend was served a raw burger without even an apology from our waiter. i tried it again last night and the food seemed blander than i remember. i ordered a drink with tito’s vodka in it but the drink was terrible and was obviously not made with tito’s and instead some other cheap vodka for $11. i tried the avocado eggs rolls, which i used to love, just to see the avocado was not only brown but gray looking. ordered one of my favorite pizookies on their menu and i’m pretty sure the cookie wasn’t even cooked all the way. it was just like a paste in my mouth. i didn’t even bother finishing my food or drink. i paid the bill (honestly not even sure why i did) and left. i personally won’t be giving this restaurant a third chance.
Fair Warning {Do Not Eat at This Location} My boyfriend and I decided to return to BJ’s after having an awesome experience and great food at one of the Houston locations. Unfortunately, the Tyler location was a complete disappointment. I ordered bone-in wings for takeout, and when I got home, they were full of feathers. I called and spoke with the takeout specialist, Jess, who apologized and said she knew exactly what I meant describing it as wings that weren’t properly plucked. She admitted she doesn’t like when they come out like that either. I asked to speak with a manager, but she said the manager, Brandon, couldn’t come to the phone because he was having to cook. She took my name and number, promising a call back. The next day came and went with no call, so I called back myself and spoke with another manager, Sam. Sam was unpleasant to speak with and dismissive of my concern. He mentioned he’d been managing there for seven years and had “never seen that happen before.” I told him I didn’t want a gift card I just wanted a refund. Instead of handling it with care, he caught an attitude and questioned how I even placed my order (which was over the phone). He finally processed my refund, but the entire experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Between the poor food quality, lack of accountability, and rude management, I won’t be returning to this location. They need new management and better quality control.
