A classic Mantuan osteria, the food is excellent, but the wait can be a bit long. But it's a great place to enjoy good company, chat, and good wine. I highly recommend it.

Family-run, excellent food, many Mantuan specialties, reasonable prices, nice place. I don't know if I can post the menu with prices. I'm from Rome, and my friend from Villastrada NN and I ordered two fried catfish and the donkey stew, which we shared. The photos are for my souvenir.

Immersed in the scents of the Mantua countryside, just down from the banks of the Oglio River, this restaurant welcomes guests into a rustic and romantic atmosphere, where time seems to slow down amidst wrought iron, exposed stone, and retro-style tablecloths. The cuisine offers traditional local dishes, carefully prepared using genuine ingredients, evoking familiar and comforting flavors without truly surprising. It's a shame that the enchantment is lost in the wait: the slow and inattentive service tests even the most patient souls. A delightful place for the eyes, but less so for the hungry.

Family Christmas lunch. À la carte menu. Quick and truly friendly service. Excellent food. Divine pumpkin tortelli. Except for the perfectly fried ones. The dining room is a bit noisy. The beautiful stove warms the room like being at home.

Pranzo in questo ristorante per la prima volta. Eravamo più persone quindi abbiamo assaggiato piatto diversi: tortelli verdi alle ortiche (buoni), risotto con salsiccia, pesce gatto fritto, rane fritte, cotechino, guancialino al vin santo (troppo dolce). I piatti erano tutti discreti, senza infamia e senza lode. Dal menu, nonostante fossero segnati sulla lavagna, mancavano diversi piatti (tortelli ai formaggi, costine, lumache). Il servizio è stato davvero lento....

Non ci siamo !!! Premesso che frequentavo la trattoria negli anni 80’ e tanto , troppo e cambiato , all’ora si mangiava ancora il pesce pescato nel fiume accanto , …ma ora non ci siamo proprio , menu’ interessante…ma pietanze di scarsa qualità, grossi problemi con la cottura , sfoglia poco cotta e dura , frittura immangiabile troppo secca e dura , rane quasi di gesso , dolci molto scarsi , tutto una delusione , …da salvare il caffè a banco ed il digestivo della casa .., troppo poco …🙈
