The dishes are authentic and carefully crafted, from homemade tajarin to veal with tuna sauce, accompanied by excellent local wines. Everything speaks of tradition and passion. A special thanks to Susanna and Mario, impeccable hosts, who made us feel at home with their kindness and attentiveness. We'll be back!

A last-minute discovery, but boy... it's amazing! At 2 pm on Sunday, with all the communions, they managed to find a table for two. They warned us about the longer-than-usual wait, but it was completely understandable. We ordered three appetizers, two first courses, two desserts, a coffee, a water, and a bottle of Barolo. Very fair prices, excellent and exceptional service, as was the welcome, the atmosphere, and the entire staff! Highly recommended! Definitely worth a visit! P.S. I highly recommend the famous vitello tonnato and the tajarin with seasonal vegetables. SUPERB 😍

Tried on 03/12/2022. Beautiful location in the historic center of Moncalvo. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent Monferrato-style raw meat, tasty traditional veal with tuna sauce. Delicious tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, fantastic gnocchi with toma cheese and black truffle. Wonderful zabaglione accompanied with corn biscuits. Good local Barbera. Good value. Highly recommended.

Surprise in Moncalvo! My boyfriend and I booked at this trattoria, invited by the wonderful reviews online, and I'd say we did very well! They were all true! Excellent hospitality, delightful, kind, and friendly staff. The restaurant is cozy and spacious, with attention to current COVID regulations. The menu offers a selection of typical local dishes and a wide selection of wines. The tagliata is one of the best we've ever had. We left extremely satisfied. Excellent value for money! I was so happy to have dined here. I chose the tasting menu, and every course was delicious. The beef tartare was incredibly good, indescribable. The agnolotti were also amazing. You could clearly tell they were homemade. The flavorful, butter-like cheek clearly shows that someone in the kitchen had worked in a butcher's shop for 12 years! And, luckily for us, we were also looked after by the lady who, despite having the entire dining room to manage, found time to chat with us and tell us a few anecdotes about her life and work. It's an interesting story that I won't spoil here. If you have the chance, let her tell you :) Not to mention the low prices, I'd say regulated. Absolutely not to be missed.

Everything was truly excellent, starting with the welcome dish, a spectacular Russian salad. Excellent ingredients, expertly cooked. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. Highly recommended. P.S. The wine list is, of course, on par with the rest. Top!

I don't think you can have better taste of what Italian traditional food is lie than this amazing restaurant, located in a hidden corner of moncalvo. We went there for the celebration of the "fat ox" where you can have a look at some stunning animals being rewarded, and have a walk around an ancient town of italy, located among hills. Speaking if this restaurant, they started to serve some antipasto of salumi, delicious Italian salami made with ox. Then they kept going with tagliata, which is some ox raw meat, very tender, cutted by hand very finely and added only oil some lemon, salt and pepper. Capsicum with ragù on top, mind blowing sweet taste, for then serving the famous "bollito" parts of the ox just boiled. Among those parts we have some cotechino, some tender muscles, some tendons, tongue, some parts of the head of the ox and others 🙄🐂.. For the finishing with ravioli.. Not to forget to mention the dessert 😅🍰.. This restaurant has also a wide choice of wines.. Superb. Expect to pay from 20 to 30 euros each person.
