Whataburger surprised me! 36 years ago I had my first Whataburger. I helped my family move to Houston from Kansas. The kitchen was not finished so we had Whataburger for nearly 2 weeks. Just for fun I introduced my family to it and it wowed us. Fresh, hot, delicious and easy of the budget.

Swung by Whataburger to tame the hunger beast. The server was on point friendly, fast, and didn’t judge me for ordering like I hadn’t eaten in three days. Food showed up quick and the order was actually correct (a small miracle in fast food) Everything went smooth… almost too smooth. No drama, no missing fries, no mystery sauce. Just a perfectly average meal. Good, not life-changing like the Whataburger equivalent of a polite high-five
All in all it was ok. I grew up loving Whataburger so today when I was driving and noticed one near the place I was getting fuel I decided to have lunch there. The meat was tasty but dry. The restroom looked like a pipe had blown up in there. The people were wonderful and they made it feel like you were surrounded by people you had known all your life, I love that about Texas.

The scanning of the app in drive thru never works. It takes forever to g through the drive thru. Even if it’s empty. Please someone in Texas buy it back.
This place takes way to long for a simple order! But it's still faster than mutt and jeffs!
The online app never works and it doesn’t matter they're busy or not it’s gonna take a good 45 mins to get your burger and drink. But wait there’s more! Don’t forget about the part where they make you pull up and then one of the associates comes out and chats through the drive thru window with the other associates while you wait 28 more mins for that 1 delicious cold burger 😆 wild place.
This location is lacking. Franchise owner or Whataburger needs to get on this right now this particular location is working hard to exceptionally diminish the brand. Extremely long wait time in dining room service. They were not busy yet there were plenty of Staff behind the counters. At one point saw the orange golf shirt "manager" walking around behind the counter. Again there were at least six people behind the counter. The person who was mopping the floor when I came in said oh give me a minute and I'll get to you, she went back, and took my order and did not return to her mop. I sat near it on the dining room floor. I went to get a drink and a group of 6 year old kids spilled their drinks all over their food and the floor. This made a serious immediate hazard, one other person came out to look at it and said oh I'll get to that. Again keep in mind the manager was behind the counter and they can see out the little window near the drink station. That mess remained on the floor and a hazard for at least 5 minutes before somebody came out and it was a different person than the first one who had been mopping the floor and they had a different mop. My observation was just a real mess with Personnel there. The food was not Stellar the onion rings were just okay and the burger was ok. I supposed my order took an additional 10 minutes to complete with all the people behind the counter because I ordered onion rings instead of French fries. Will not go back to this location ever for any reason. The other Whataburger experience that was completely lacking here! The availability of condiments they had zero condiments available and it might be because they are getting stolen or homeless are using them and eating them who knows but nobody offered me any condiments and when I asked I said yes I'd like ketchup and one spicy ketchup, I got two regulat ketchups one of which looked clean and the other nasty, sticky and dirty why you have been stepped on. I didn't even want to touch it.

Was good a long time ago! They sold out and had went downhill continually! They had a good manager and got rid of her! The people there now have bad attitudes! Not willing to go back! Food has gotten terrible!!!

The Vidor Texas location is ALWAYS under staffed in the mornings. 12/12/2025 I person cancelled order taking to long 3 people walked out no one wait on them. The staff is friendly food is good. The problems is they are over staffed at night under staffed in the morning.
I’ve been stuck in the parking lot for a good 20 min because there are not enough lanes to get out of the one way exit. They have the drive thru wait in both lanes, leaving no room for people who already have their food to get out.
Don’t go here if you’re African-American… Or any other color besides white in all honesty. It can be dangerous for you. i was assaulted (pushed several times during a verbal altercation) and my tire was slashed… just for BEING THERE. The man told me “my kind” wasn’t allowed or wanted. i was called the “N word” with the Hard “R”many times in the midst of all that happening.
Waited 20 minutes for our food inside. We asked if it would be ready soon and they said they were waiting on fries. Everyone inside had left by now and costumers also commented how they forgot about us. When we finally got out food the burgers and “fresh fries” were COLD!! Worst whataburger experience.
Right, well, I don't even know where to begin. We were hungry at about 8PM for some Whataburger, so we decide to stop by. We wait in line for nearly 20 minutes, while they decide to open up another lane with cars about five cars back. This isn't a problem, seeing as if they're taking payments, it's a way to kind of move things along. Another 10 minutes go by, they are literally handing out food to the people that just ordered. That is absolute absurdity. Why is someone who got here 10 minutes ago being served before everyone who has been waiting in this line for 30 minutes at this point for "Fast" food. I wish my problems ended there, but sadly, they don't. When we got the food, our fries and sandwiches were literally not even lukewarm. I am not even kidding you. I don't understand how you can have us wait in line for 30 minutes and serve us room temperature food. Did the people who went into lane 2 that you decided to open up after everybody waited for 20 minutes get warm fries and fresh food? To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. Why the hell am I spending $15 per meal to receive room temperature crap.
This is the third time in a row that my online order has been wrong! I don’t t pay over thirty bucks for food to be wrong! Quit being lazy at your job. Do your job and do better! Just terrible
The lady at the front counter look like she didn’t care about her job. She was kind of rude about handing things to me. She sat down to clean a table. That was sad. I think she got exhausted from cleaning the table. I was sitting sideways. She walked over to apparently ask if we needed anything and then she started bitching at me because I was sitting sideways. I had my feet on the chair. The employees were in the back talking about Walmart, not doing their job. It looked like someone sat on my burger. It was kind of sad but overall, I don’t think I’m eating there for a while
Just seem to be trying to hurry you thru. I think their burgers are a little salty so I generally stick with the chicken. We went thru the drive thru. I ordered the chicken tenders basket. The chicken was over fried , the French fries were over fried, and they completely forgot the gravy so I couldn't even drowned the bad flavor! Threw it in the trash it was that bad.
I normally don’t write reviews, but this location needs help. The staff does not possess the adequate skills to run this business, They are constantly having to remake the food, wasting product time and money. They messed up my order twice I’m disappointed because I wanted to just go home and enjoy a good family dinner but instead I had to go back out twice one time yesterday and today. The first time was because they got the order wrong. The second time was because they forgot part of the order. As far as customer service goes, I can feel the unwelcoming atmosphere, especially having to revisit the location multiple times due the issues with the order. On top of everything, they have menu items display that they don’t have in stock that are new and should be there During yesterday’s visit, no soft drinks could be sold at the time due to the lack of CO2. So now I’m questioning the managers role of effective inventory ordering to keep the place properly running. Cleanliness of the restaurant was not too bad however I didn’t see the restrooms and of course I can’t see the rest of the restaurant. So everything wrong with my order was they made my burger wrong no ice in my drink. The meat patties was also dry. My wife’s Cobb salad was old and withered. And even though I had my burger requested a certain way, they still didn’t even make it to The normal standard it should be. I think they can do better. They just needs to slow down and pay attention. Listen to the customer and repeat back the order to ensure that everything is correct. I will attempt again at a later time and do a more in-depth review to see if any actions was taken.
Placed my mobile order at 8:24. Arrived at 8:32, checked in, and waited for 40 minutes in curbside parking before finally pulling into the drive thru.. where I sat for another 15 minutes. There were only a couple of people dining in & no one and the drive thru when I arrived. The same thing happened 5 months ago so I stopped going.. and now this time.. I won’t be going back.
