Great seafood the shrimp ,octopus ,oyster cocktail are the best along with the mixed seafood tostada. Wife got the enchiladas all food was authentic fresh and delicious. It's clean and the service wasn't bad. Will definitely stop in again passing through woodland.
I ordered the mojara frita and a ceviche tostada for lunch. The portions were huge! Could barely finish the mojara so saved the tostada for dinner. Everything had great flavor! I was extremely happy with my order. Will definitely be ordering from there again.
Not sure why there are so many poor reviews. Service was great and food was excellent. Got the camerones a la Kora, which come with homemade tortillas! The micheladas are delicious as is the campechana
The food is out of this world good and they have friendly service.
It's a very nice establishment. Their service is quick and the food is excellent. I would recommend this restaurant.
Food was excellent, atmosphere lively and the fact they had karaoke going on as well was a plus. Would highly recommend
Great experience! Food is delicious and service is excellent!
I've gone to El Pantano several times over the years, and there's one main reason I keep coming back: the shrimp cocktail. Theirs is the only one out of several places I've tried that has a really good flavor and isn't bland. It's sweet, fruity, and full of shrimp, tomatoes, onions, avocado; I always order it along with something else, and the large order is big enough for most people to not be able to finish it and take it home. The tacos I've had were good here as well, and I can't really say I've ever ordered something here I didn't like. The tables are clean, and the service is good but there typically aren't a lot of wait staff, so if you need something you may need to wait a bit to catch someone's attention. Overall, if you're in the Woodland area and like seafood or Mexican food, definitely worth a try. Edit: came back here for the Coctel de Camaron, and it's as good as ever. I also had a Carne Asada Burrito, that was excellent. Everything else is exactly the same, except the prices have gone up by a couple of bucks for the items I had. Still well worth it though!
Food is great, exceptional customer service! They hosted our party of 30 and were really fast and efficient. The food was out quick. Our whole family was satisfied. This was our first time and we were not disappointed. Really recommend this place check it out 5 stars! I believe our waiter’s name was Jessica.
Just simply amazing!🤙 The food is always great on point and very consistent. Sat there and really looked and the cook seemed to be very clean and all the food very well taken care of and the waitress was also very nice food took a little while but good food takes time too cook and more if is with care and done carefully right!! Will definitely be back and will be my favorite spot in town to eat at 👏🏻
This is the second time eating here and we will for sure return! We had tacos and Mexican food in Mexico and it was not this good! The fish tacos and their shrimp plate at Mariscos are to die for! I have appreciated that they use good lettuce 🥬 not the precut one that smells like chlorine! Thank you for the delicious food!
The best authentic Mexican dishes in TOWN!!! Thank u for the amazing food we will surely be back!!!!!! Carnitas were AMAZING 🤩
They have a dj the food is amazing!! Los camarones a la kora beyond fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥

The waitress was amazing. I hear she no longer works there. Too bad.
The waitress was amazing. The food was okay. It was freezing inside.
They really skimped on the ceviche tostadas but it was fresh and delicious. Two tostadas and a Sprite came out to almost $20! If price was proportionate to quantity it would've five stars.
Flavors of food was good. I ordered a chicken quesadilla which was very cheesy and the chicken tasted great. My BF ordered camarones al kora which tasted very good but a little salty and the shrimp was very tough because it was over cooked. Rice and beans are decent. The salad served with the entrees has oranges on it which was odd. Too many hot sauces on the table. I think 3 types is more than enough for people to choose from (there was like 10 different ones). Also thought it was weird that the prices on the menu are covered with white out so you don’t know the prices for the items. The service was great. Very welcoming and attentive. The karaoke was fun and entertaining.

This review includes service, which would get a 1 star. If it was food alone, I'd give it 5 stars. However, EVERY single time I've been to this restaurant their service has been lacking. They take FOREVER to bring out items. Or even worse, the dont bring them out at all. One time they did not bring chips/salsa or tortillas and they told me that they simply ran out. Yet, a while later I see them serving another table chips and salsa. They don't bring out utensils, which makes it very challenging to actually enjoy your food if you cant eat it. Nonetheless, their pina ala kora is 🔥
Food was good but bad service. Server took a very long time bring us our drinks and never returned to offer refiles. Food was good just took a really long time to come out
The food 100% but services is very slow. If you don't mind waiting the food is worth it.
Great for entertainment. The Kareoke DJ is awesome. BUT THE SERVICE IS BAD AND THE WORSE CEVICHE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. I DIDNT THINK IT WAS POSSIBLE TO MAKE IT THAT BAD WOW.
Food is good, but waiting well over an hour for two shrimp cocktails for take out. Probably wont be coming back anytime soon
Well presented, too spicy for my liking. I asked for less spice, but I'm not sure if I got it or not. Everything else on the plate was good.
Been here a couple of times. The food is great but the only down side is that the prices on the menu aren't the real prices. The prices are higher than advertised. Mentioned this the waitress when we checked out and she said she forgot to mention it to us
Went to this restaurant specifically after checking their menu inside and saw they had a molcajete. When we ordered it, the waitress said “oh we don’t have those anymore”. Decided to just split a mixed fajitas platter with my husband and was charged $10 over the menu price. Didn’t realize until the transaction went through then brought it to the servers attention. I was told the prices in the system were correct and the printed menus were wrong. Nobody said anything to us when we had ordered our food. Absolutely not worth the $28. Shrimp had no flavor, meat was dry. When asked for our ten dollars back that they overcharged we were told the owner wasn’t in and they had no authority to make it right. Won’t be back. There are a dozen other Mexican restaurants to spend our money at, just thought we would give them a chance.

Great shrimp cocktails but other then that is duty, old and the rest of their menu just well let's just say it's not the best. I order a steak and it seemed I was eating rubber to dry and no flavor.
Waited for over a hour just to not get our food, we ended up leaving after 4 people asking if we had our order
Staff was friendly, Burrito was eh, some of the ingredients of the burrito wasn't fresh, michelada was eh, the cucumber and shrimp in the michelada was old, place was pretty dirty and old, definitely needs improvement
We got charged for food that we did not ordered. The waitress said she got what we ordered and did not apologize. El Pantano Marisquería’s customer service is very poor. To say the least. We will not go back or recommend it to anyone.

I've never written a review before because I have never felt the need to before now. Service was terrible. The place was empty but the waiter rarely came around to check on us. Food came out fairly quickly but there were a lot of problems, first bite out of a chicken burrito came a massive chunk of fat, we are talking like the size of a slug (it looked and tasted like a slug) considering it was a chicken burrito it didn't make any sense but I continued to eat...second bite had a chunk of bone in it, a rather sharp, large, sliver of bone. Put the rest of the burrito down and did not take another bite. Will never go again.
If you want trash food and dried burnt chicken, then this is your kind of place. Staff was not organized at all, we waited 40 minutes for a burrito and 3 tacos along with a flauta. Not only that we had to ask for utensils to eat. Don’t recommend coming unless you want to be ignored. Also cooks were not wearing hair nets or had hair tied up properly, which can cause cross contamination to foods and customers.
Very bad service, sat down with my family for about 3 minutes then we walked out. We weren’t offered chips/salsa or drinks. The music was as loud as a club, and what drove us to leave ASAP from that place was how dirty it was, I looked under our table and there was dirty napkins and a face mask on the floor. The floor was straight up dirty. I don’t even want to imagine what the kitchen looked like.
Came here with a freind and we ordered are food. Took forever like 20 mins to serve our drinks. Then forever to get out food. I ordered fajitas and when I finally got the food. It wasn't worth the price I paid for. Because the food was bland and I didn't get any tortillas with it. the waitress asked if I need another tea which was the only thing good. I say yes and if I can get tortillas with my fajitas. Well 15 mins later get my drink and still no tortillas so yea not eating at this place again. Should of went to my usual places instead of trying something new. If you eat here hopefully your experience is better than the one I got
I've been to many Mexican Restaurant never in my life has there been a worse service. They were not organized at all. My husband ordered some appetizers but we had to wait for more then half an hour for our food with no appetizers, not even chips and salsa. Food was all salty and not fully cooked. To top it off our bill was or 111.14 for to 3 cocktails 3 drinks a whole bunch of bs. All in all the worse place to go I would recommend La Islitas thats a little more down the street.
This place takes forever ive been waiting still waiting for a michealada 15 mins plus....& still not been ask for what I want to eat...there only 4 people here...just thought that was absurd
Bad service...could not serve our meal at one time...fajita were cold...beans was water down and you could not even eat them with a sppon...terrible mexican food...I don't recommend it at all....will never pass thru there dpors agaim and I suggest you don't eirher....yuk
Not good. No salt in the meat. Carne asada is so tough I can't eat it. Carnitas were ok. Shrimp was just flavorless. Asked for butter and got margarine. So disappointed.
The food is great, but the service is horrible they open at 11:00 am I arrived at 10:30am because I had an appointment in Woodland I had to wait an hr until they open (it was open at 11:30 am. They were customers that went for lunch, but they had to leave because they only had 30minutes of lunch. The reason is because the cook was not ready.
The food it's ok but the loud is not ok and my opinion the service is bad and it's not because the people on my opinion is a lot job for only 2 waitress that's why the service take it to long
Service was great. Food was bad. Tortillas was so old they all broken. Beef was very tuff and burned.
Horrible place! The wife of the DJ is awful seems like she controls the place I will never to back! Many customers complain about her! She shouldn’t be there
Sat on patio, waitress only spoke Spanish so she had to send another waitress which was fine and she was nice. So we put in our order for tacos and waited and waited and waited. I walked to my car to get something and saw the staff serving people that had arrived after us. We left some money on the table for the beers we had that were also too warm and went to El Patio up the street.
They wpuld not serve us. We walked in and the waitress set us at a booth. There was maybe 4 tables with people. She brought us chips and salsa and menus. We sat there for over 20 minutes with our menus folded and the waitress set there folding napkins even walks right by us a couple times. Never even looked at us. My wife looks at ma and says we are not wanted here. Lol. So she got up and asked the waitress how much for the chips and salsa because we are going to leave, and the waitress just looked at her and said nothing. Thank you! So we left
Their prices are very expensive. They are super short staff and it takes a very long time to get serviced. Their shrimp cocktail is very good and fresh tho. But I paid over 100 hundred for a quesadilla, a shrimp cocktail, and some shrimp botana, not even a full dish with sides. My shrimp dish was overcooked I was unable to eat it. After paying over 100 dollars for the food the poor service unfortunately I will not be coming back. Too overpriced and poor service.
We ordered well shots and got charged the premium price. They couldn’t give us a refund on the spot and told us to come back to see the managed. Called to see if manager was in and no luck. Haven’t had a call back from them.
This place is horrible. Went back when it was next to the jack in the box and not only was it overpriced, but they took forever to bring out the food and the portions were tiny, even for a small quesadilla it was 12 bucks and took 45 min to get. Everything from waitresses to cooks and tables were super unhygienic and dirty. It was hot, humid, the was music ridiculously loud where you couldn't hear anyone else speak. There was flies everywhere! I was ready to leave after 40 min of waiting for the food but they said they would still charge us eventhough we hadn't consumed anything. I asked how much longer and the waitress said she didn't know. It took another 30min to get light orders of food eventhough the place was empty. Literally just my family and a drunk in the corner half passed out munching on crackers.
Very disappointed!!! Walked in and the floor was dirty and nasty. I have seen cleaner bathrooms! Took 20 min to get 1 margarita and when I received it the glass was broken! In order for us to get water we had to constantly be asking the waiter for refills. The weather outside was 107 and they had no A/C. They also kept turning new customers away because they wanted to close! Who turns customers away! They obviously need Customer service training. Shrimp was rubbery and chewy Nasty! I hope the owner looks at this review and takes action! Very very disappointed !!!
Restrooms are close to the kitchen; both stink extremely bad. Restrooms were absolutely disgusting. Service is so poor. They took 40 minutes to serve us 5 freaking tacos; so disappointing. Waitresses were careless and rude. Place was dirty and smelled bad. I saw two girls drinking and the waitress did not asked them for IDs. It was another lady buying drinks for them. It seemed that waitress did not care at all. It just another stinky, cheap Mexican restaurant .
