Avis sur Maria's Cantina Woodland
The service was exceptional. Isaac was our waitperson. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and helpful with ordering. The atmosphere is cozy, unpretentious elegance. The venue has an authentic cantina feel. Also very clean. Each staff member i observed showed they really care about the quality of the patron’s experience. The pricing was modest. Much value to the customer. To date, I have found no other establishment whose food holds a candle to this cantina.
The service was great and the food was out of this world! We had the carne asada plate and the casa carnitas... not only some of the best Mexican food I've had, but some of the best food period. The blend of flavors was outstanding.
Beautiful restaurant! Even the bathrooms were pretty haha. I really appreciate how knowledgeable the staff was regarding celiac safe food. My gluten free shrimp entree was delicious and the prickly pear drink was amazing. Thank you!
Our favorite mexican food in woodland. They take pride in high quality food, fresh and exciting specials and a family friendly environment. It's alway clean and the staff is amazing.
Maria's Cantina is a great traditional Mexican Restaurant. Had dinner there with family, and enjoyed the entire experience. We arrived before the Dinner Rush and were seated right away with a party of 5. Our Server, Kylie was very customer oriented and explained any questions we had with the Menu and the Specials of the night. Kylie was the primary Server, but the other staff were just as customer oriented, checking on us frequently to ask if there was anything we need. As for the food, everybody enjoyed their selections. I had the Chicken (Pollo Asada) Burrito, which was huge and tasty. I took half of the Burrito home because I was stuffed. If you want a great dinner, Maria's Cantina would be a great choice.
One of My Favorite Spots in Woodland — Great Food and Even Better Ambiance! 🌮🍹 I absolutely love Maria’s Cantina! It’s one of those places that never disappoints — whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, the food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. The ambiance is amazing — stylish yet relaxed, with that perfect mix of modern and cozy. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind after a long day or meet up with friends and always have a good time. The bar area has such a fun energy, and their margaritas are definitely a must-try! I used to get takeout from here all the time, and it was just as good as dining in. Everything travels well, the portions are generous, and the flavors always come through. The staff is friendly and attentive, and you can tell they take pride in both the service and the food. It’s easily one of the best restaurants in Woodland — great atmosphere, great food, and great people.
I have severe gluten intolerance, and my waitress was very helpful making sure my meal was safe for me. I was seated outside (with heaters) and it was quite pleasant. I found it to be very friendly, tasty, and enjoyable. Im glad I found this restaurant.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing experience at Maria’s! I had the delicious carne asada, my husband enjoyed the carnitas, and my sister had the chile verde — everything was absolutely flavorful and fresh. The drinks were just as impressive — I tried the tuna margarita and loved it! The service was excellent, attentive, and friendly. 🌮🍹 I 100% recommend this place if you’re in Woodland — you won’t be disappointed!
My husband and I sat down around 7:45 not realizing they close at 8:30. We have been waiting to try Maria’s out so we had an idea of what we wanted. The hostess sat us and got our drinks in and the waitress answered our questions and got our order in, I knew I wanted dessert so I ordered it with the food after learning they were closing soon. The whole staff was extremely nice and pleasant despite us being a late party to seat. The food was amazing, we both ate almost all of it. The churros were delicious too! Beautiful people and great food.
Chips and salsa are extra! But the food was tasty. They always have new monthly’s specials. The chips are thin and go well with the flavorful salsa. The street tacos come with rice and beans of your choice. They can do separately checks and you can pay via the QR code which makes it super quick and easy.
Great food, and great service! We stopped in for lunch after running some errands, and I’m glad that we did. The waitress (I didn’t get her name, but she was super friendly and helpful!) suggested a margarita that was really good. It’s not on the online menu, but it’s called El Corazón. It was incredible, and I’m glad we listened. If you decide to go, make sure you try it out. Not too sweet, not too strong; made with pomegranate, passion fruit, agavé, Cointreau, lime juice, and of course tequila! For lunch, I ordered the pork mole. It was super savory, and was the perfect balance of chocolate, and spice. The pork was tender, had great flavor even without the mole sauce. It was served on a bed of rice, and was topped with purple pickled onions. It also came with a grilled flour tortilla. My wife had the Baja Caesar salad with salmon. It’s served on half of a head of grilled romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, toasted pepitas, red peppers, and queso fresco. The salmon was very tender, wasn’t overcooked, and was seasoned well. The cantina is very well decorated, had a welcoming and open atmosphere, and makes you feel more like you’re visiting friends than a restaurant. Also, the bathrooms were super clean, and that’s good to see; especially in a restaurant! I highly recommend stopping by and grabbing some good food, good drinks, and good times!
We came here because we had a gift card from Christmas. My husband had the Chile Verde. It was excellent if you cut in the jalapeno. Meat was very tender. I had the two tostada's. I really liked that you can choose two different meats. Although I regret not choosing carnitas for both it was that good. For desert we had the cream filled churros, good but not our thing I guess. Full restaurant but not too noisy, comfortable booth and chairs. Even outdoor seating if that's your thing. Would definitely come again
We haven't been to Maria's in a very long time. I had the asada enchiladas, which were dry, but fine. I would normally order the shrimp enchiladas, but they now charge $5/enchilada extra, which is way too much for what you get. That said, the service was fantastic and we love the atmosphere. We had a nice time.
Sat at the bar and had a cocktail while waiting for our to-go order. The spicy margarita my husband ordered was perfect! The carne asada plate I had was very good and had a good sized portion
We hit the dinner crowd and still were seated quickly. The server was friendly and continued to check on us throughout our visit. We were able to get some happy hour margaritas which helped with the overall cost. The margaritas were good and satisfying. I ordered a crispy carne asada tacos plate. The carne and rice lacked flavor and the taco shell was not the greatest, but the salsa inside the taco was good. The refried beans were good and flavourful. My husband ordered an El pastor burrito. The meat was delicious. My mother in law ordered the chicken tortilla soup which she was satisfied with. We also paid for chips and salsa. The chips were good but the salsa was not really authentic salsa, and lacked flavor and spice. The price was a bit much for the portion sizes, however the meals were filling. I would dine in again to see if there are different dishes I may enjoy.
Very beautiful restaurant really enjoyed the outdoor dining. Was here for the happy hour drinks which were very nice and refreshing. Give them margaritas a try and they're really good. I had the carnitas which personally were pretty basic. The food was good but I like mine spicy and well seasoned. Service was good maybe a little slow.
First and last time here. The waitress very nice . The chips were good but the salsa too runny. Surf and turf burrito was to small for the price and the tortilla was microwaved. Fried quesadilla was good portions and son enjoyed it. Chicken tacos the chicken was dry. The carnitas lacked flavor. So overall we enjoyed the decor the waitress the chips and the fried quesadillas. The bill was $78 and I don’t feel it was worth it.
