Shore Drive - Shorebreak Pizza & Taphouse

An amazing bar and seafood grille with outstanding atmosphere and attentive staff. No B.S. if you're looking for great service and seafood then look nowhere else. There was never an empty plate on the table, servers were around to fill drinks and clear plates every minute. The staff looks happy and will give you great suggestions on the menu. The drinks are great and all the food comes out about as quick as you order it. They were fairly packed and still had A1 service. Great job Shorebreak!

Sure break is a great restaurant. It’s very spacious. There’s so much room, we just grabbed a pizza the other night my daughter and I. We played a quick game of pool while we were waiting. Short break was also where we had our soccer end-of-the-year party. It’s a very family and friendly oriented place the staff was wonderful, and they have indoor and outdoor seating.

Great food, fast excellent service, great food options for the entire family. Many TVs for sporting events, pool tables and video arcade. Hamburger was tasty, next time I will try the pizza.

Fantastic atmosphere, great service, good food. Exactly what I was looking for.. the pizza was 3-4 meals in itself but was a solid facsimile for Chicago-style deep dish. Pool tables were well taken care of.. they could have used a little more space to shoot but everyone was so relaxed and friendly that it didn’t effect the evening as a whole. I’ll definitely go back. It’s worth checking out for a relaxed evening.

This place is fantastic! Family friendly with an arcade for the kids and a few pool tables for the adults, Wednesday is ladies night for free pool. The food was all really good too I would recommend the steak bites and Asian chicken lettuce wraps, and the staff is all super friendly and fast.

Definitely call ahead for a reservation! We were told it would be 45 minutes but actually only waited about 35 minutes. Our waitress Taylor was fantastic, very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We went on Tuesday and it’s BOGO burgers (dine in only). I had the Shoreburger with Cheese and my friend had the farmhouse burger and both were fantastic. We started with the Wisconsin cheese curds for an app, highly recommend. Prices are pretty standard for the area, and food was great quality.

Love the food, atmosphere, and employees! The staff here made the most special day for my niece. They were overwhelmingly positive and attentive. We frequent this restaurant and I would recommend it to ANYONE! Keep up the great work Shore Drive team!

A great, lively place, and our server, Savannah, was very kind and attentive. I don't know if the manager was the gentleman I met at the front, but he was very nice too. It's very loud, so it might be better if you want to sit outside where you can hear better, but it's a very lively place. Their pizza is great, but definitely try their burgers too! Parking gets a bit crowded, so it's best to come early if you want to get a spot. The wait wasn't very long; it was only about 20 minutes. There were a lot of people, so I was expecting the food to take a while, but there's so much going on in this place you have a lot to look at and do while your food is coming out. It's a lot of fun. It definitely has an excellent atmosphere! We will definitely come back just for that alone! And they have a lot of fun mixed drinks too. Thanks again to our waitress, Savannah! I told you I would put in a good review for you! Cheers!

Love this spot. Travel for work and have been here twice. Both times the food has been great and the service top notch! They have TV in every line of sight so if you want to watch a game you won't miss a play!

I love it! We go to both locations, they are both good! We love everything from the pizza to salads and burgers.

It was such a sweet experience, our server was so nice I think her name was Sarah (blonde) and another girl with curly hair (edit: Abigail was her name!). They were so sweet and the food was very good. I would totally recommend coming here, they do accommodate large groups (I came with a party of softball players!!!) so nice 10/10

Their food and service is spot on and in the event someone is having an off day (which is rare but it happens once in a while) they are very quick to address and resolve any issues. They are known for their pizza which is great but I LOVE their burgers and they always have a tasty seasonal salad for when I feel like being healthy. Their milkshakes are a fantastic end to a delicious meal especially on a hot summer night. The bar is my favorite area to sit but there are several tables, a little arcade for the kids, pool tables, and an outdoor patio. Whether you're visiting or live here I highly recommend checking this place out!

One of our favorite restaurants in VA Beach. The staff is always friendly when we visit, but our fave waitress is Gabi. She's always so sweet and kind to my little one, who loves to talk. The restaurant does get busy, but the wait staff stays very attentive. Our fave app is the fried pickles. All of the various drinks I've tried have been really good. We usually get the pizza during our visits because my boys always request it. Highly recommend!

My family and I came in here Sunday during the nfl playoffs and let me say we had the best time. Our server her name was Ophelia she was amazing made sure our drinks were full, kept the tables clean, and was always smiling. The bussers were so polite and hard working. The manager his name was Dennis such a respectable polite young man, came over and checked on us and even had a conversation with our young son about football which was so sweet of him. The food was terrific and can’t beat the Sunday pizza special with some beer and wings. All in all if you are in Virginia Beach check this place out.

I’ve been going to shorebreak since I was young playing in rec league basketball. The games have always been fun and the food is stellar. Great deals on Sunday! You can get a 16” pizza for $10!! Can’t believe how great that deal is!

Our waitress, Burkelle, was AMAZING. She was welcoming, attentive, and super friendly. The food was just as good. The pretzels were fresh and soft. Nachos were perfectly portioned. The pizza was the best my picky eater ever had and the crust had just the perfect crunch. The shrimp tacos were fresh and perfectly cooked and the onion rings were good as well! The beer selection was great and the house margaritas were the best I’ve had. If you’re looking for sports, they have a great selection of TVs throughout the restaurant to keep up. There was also an arcade, but we did not check it out. They even sell cute shirts! We were just visiting Norfolk and drove over but will definitely be back the next time we come to Virginia Beach/Norfolk. I’ll be thinking about this place for months.

I don't get out as much as I used to but I would highly recommend both locations. Today I had guests visiting form Ohio that wanted to enjoy the Bears game, I'm an Eagles fan. What a dilemma. The Bears weren't on the local channels so it was obvious we were going to have to venture to a sports bar. Shorebreak had the best reviews and its obvious why. I called to verify the Bears game would be on. I spoke to Marisa, incredible nice and helpful. She assured me that game would be on. When we arrived we were greeted by none other than Marisa and we were seated at a 4 top table where we could see both the Bears and the Eagles games! Our server Kylee was a delight. Terrific service, kept a great eye on us. Our wives joined us just before half time and we order a few football snacks. All delicious. What is so special about Shorebreak is the Atmosphere! Several sports fans enjoying their favorite teams, some football some soccer! But very upbeat and friendly! Lots of families and little people with mom's and dad's! Absolutely nothing better! A clean, safe, fun, happy place to enjoy a sporting event with friends and family.

Would give this one 10 stars of available pizza. Wings. Burger. Chicken sandwich. Wow. And the star of the show is the parm truffle fries. Amazing place. The curbside service is fast and efficient. Good job, y'all!

Friends and I were visiting the area and decided to stop in and we weren't disappointed. We went as soon as they opened and were greeted and seated immediately. The customer service was perfect and the food was really good. Pictured is all of our food and I had the white truffle burger with bacon which was delicious. My garlic parm tots were ok. I may try the fries or another side if we are ever back to try this place again.

I'm vegetarian and got a pizza with artichoke hearts, spinach, and feta. It was ok. I had to add parmesan to give it more flavor. I've had several people tell me the pizza here is great. I'm guessing that's more from a meat eater standpoint. They have 2 sauce options. I chose the not spicy one. I was happily surprised when I got the bill that the pizza was on sale for Sunday football!!! The service was amazing. The staff is very friendly. They have a ton of TVs. If you're looking for somewhere to watch to the game, this is your place. The lightning was low, which was new to me.

Huge dining room with lots of seating available. When the weather is nice, opt to sit outside. Been here a few times now. Food and service are good. The speed at which you get your food will vary. Usually get the Farmhouse burger, but I was fooled by the 9.99 pizza Sunday special this time. That ended up costing me lots more because I want so many toppings but still so good and so much food. 😂

Had noticed the sign for Blackberry Coconut Margaritas on the way to the beach and went back to check them out. Pizza, Pool Tables and Sports Bar. We wanted to try Pizza from a local business and came across Shorebreak Pizza and we were not disappointed… we got spicy sauce and cheese pizza with toppings on one side … the toppings were a good amount… The dough particularly was very Good!! But one side of pizza was little burnt and tasted bitter but rest of the pizza was too good…I would definitely visit this spot again… I got a take out this time but would love to visit again and try their menu…!!

Great service. Got my food delivered at the beach. Small serving on the lettuce wrap, but still good. Pizza was great. Slices were really big though. We ordered the works ALL THE WAY and we enjoyed most of it. The middle was a little soggy, which was expected when you got your dough loaded all the way. We really loved the crust; it was crusty, chewy, and still easy almost soft to bite. Recommended!

We try to visit Shorebreak every time we go to Virginia Beach! They have good food and a fun atmosphere. The pizza is always good and this time was no exception. However, I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with fries and my fries were cold..... The sandwich was very good, but I had already finished most of it by the time I was able to get a new hot order of fries. The issue was resolved, but it was a bit disappointing. We will definitely give them another shot though.

The place is fantastic. Great staff. $10 play as much pool for hour. I got the fish tacos and they were pretty good. Drank water but the drink menu looks good. The bar area wasnt bad, a little tight but overall id go here again.

Service was amazing! The nachos we had could have been better. For $16 it was a little small and the cheese turned into a solid brick for how thin the chips were. Otherwise plenty of tvs and places to sit. I was surprised by how many children were running around. Drinks were tasty.

Food & server were terrific. It was so loud, our table of 8 couldn't communicate at all. Great place for a date night or young people. Way too loud for an older crowd.

Went here on a Thursday around 8 pm, decided to sit outside because the weather was nice and there was a live band playing. It was quite packed inside and outside, but we only had like a 5 min wait. Took a while for a waitress to come over and get our order though, so I wasn't happy about that at all. We started with drinks: the Cherry limeade crush and Mango crush (8/10) they both had fruity refreshing flavors and gave a decent little buzz. I had the Chipotle tacos with steak (3/10) I felt like they were lacking in flavor, dry, and just not the best. I asked for sauce to add to them but that took a long time to even get because the waitress wasn't very attentive at all. For my side, I tried the Garlic parm tots (9/10) I thought they were really good, fresh and crispy. The lack of good service from the waitress really didn't help with my experience honestly. My food was subpar also, which sucked because I did enjoy the ambiance with the live music and nice weather while dining outside. I'm considering possibly going back maybe one day in the further (not entirely sure at this time), but if I do, l'd like to go on a day they aren't super busy. My overall rate of experience: 5/10

Mediocre - ordered char cup pepperoni pizza, not a heavy lift. Sparse pepperoni, poorly seasoned sauce. Would not order delivery from here again.

To start, as far as the restaurant itself, the establishment was clean, spacious and had a great sports bar environment. This eatery had pool tables and many TVs with sports which kept us entertained. However, these things sometimes don't outweigh other short comings. Next, the food! The food was great, but their proportions are pretty small compared to their pricing and MANY other places we've eaten, even while on vacation. I submitted a picture of the Cheese Curds (awesome!). I received 2 small tacos with Mahi for $14.99 (I expected 3 and menu didn't state how many) and then I was charged $3.50 for onion rings that were suppose to be my side with meal but wasn't an upcharge on menu. My wife received the same meal and size and my son's meal was wings so his size meal doesn't count. I would consider their dinner size that of lunch proportions. The fountain drinks were $3.25, and another drink they sell for kids with a cheap plastic $0.75 shark in it cost $5.00 (sprite with a little blue raz in it). The desserts were way undersized and overpriced as well. My son wanted a fudge brownie with ice cream etc, but was delivered a small underwhelming dessert that he finished in a mere few bites, but the dessert was $8.99. In conclusion, I have rated this restaurant a 3 out of 5 due to the fact of their proportion verse price ratio seemed lacking for my taste. Again, the food was good, but not their price for the sizes. With a family, I'd recommend some place else unless this is a must eat place due to time and convenience. At the end of the meal, I spent $96 ($80 bill and $16 tip) for 3 people to eat and not be full and we are not BIG eaters. To say the least I expected more from an established restaurant like this but received far less. Good luck and hope your experience is better if you decide to go.

Pretzel tasted like a frozen pretzel reheated and beer cheese had that out of the jar/can flavor. Ordered a hamburger which was too salty with a bun that seemed stale but toasted. Worse, they left the lettuce on it where by the time ai got the burger was soggy and warm. I also seemed to get the end slice of tomato I normally would throw out, but got served. This place is w great place for watching sports and has good pizza and wings, but they seem to be getting cheap or lazy on what makes great food for other menu items.

I was a little disappointed at the amount and quality of the buffalo cauliflower I just picked up. I've dined in before and absolutely do not remember an order being this small. It was also $15 which I think is quite a bit pricey for the amount I received. Then when I paid with cash, I was even asked if I wanted my change back.... on a takeout order. It was just all a little off-putting to me so I really don't think I'll be back because of that.

I want to like the Shorebreak on Shore Drive, but the food is inconsistent and sloppy. I ordered 2 bacon burgers on two consecutive visits, and both were missing the bacon. Most recently, my wife got sick after eating one of the soft pretzels. She said it tasted off- different from how it usually tastes. The wait staff, when removing dishes from our table, dripped liquid all over my son’s food, so he couldn’t eat any more of it. We won’t be back.

Generally the food is pretty good, but their takeout operation is a mess. Had my wife wait outside in sub 20 degree weather for half an hour to be told she did not have an order. Followed up inside and got it in writing that they would not be able to fulfil our order with apologies and a credit. Got a call after we left that our order had actually been ready the whole time. Called them back to see what the deal was after we already got food somewhere else. Apparently we were confused and should have paid better attention. Note this is after two employees confirmed our order had been dropped, and provided appologies and a credit in writing. Fairly staggering levels of disfunction. Good pizza though.

Used to be a really good chef but seems that person left. I ordered the steak salad cooked rare. Just ordered 2 to go and got home to medium well steak. Imagine chewy, microwaved, over-marinated steak. It really was pretty gross to look at and taste test. The croutons were stale and I asked for ranch on the side but got balsamic. If this was like $7 then I wouldn’t be up here making a review but this was $50…

We used to go here to play pool on a Friday night and have a few beers and pizzas. On January 23, 2026 we were trying to play pool again when one of the managers/servers named Ryan disrespectfully told us to move Pool tables because apparently whoever was playing there before told him that they weren't done playing when in fact, they told us they were done playing (we wouldn't have moved there otherwise). Ryan didn't even bother to ask for our side of the story and bluntly told us to move so there wouldn't be problems, almost in a threatening tone/manner. Not exactly stellar customer service. We were all US military and NATO and we didn't want to elevate the situation so we politely moved but we felt very disrespected. Suffice to say we lost our appetite and quickly asked for the check and left. Will not be coming back here ever and won't recommend this place to anyone especially to military folks. Do better or just close, you clearly do not know what customer service is.

fries were cold which is crazy because they say they fried them fresh. food was mid. not inclusive. basically only come here if you can/do eat red meat because everything is lathered in beef tallow. including their veggie dishes. disappointed but not shocked. They want to respond saying that I was told about avocado oil when i wasn't. I expressed a red meat allergy that my partner has and they said they couldn't do the fries or his pizza so he ending up getting the baja tacos which were bland and not good. What a terrible response. The server nor manager offered anyting but to remake the food that was cold. Edited to 1 star all around because of the condescending response.
