It’s so nice that there’s an actual Japanese-owned ramen shop in this part of inland Contra Costa County. Usually, your average suburban ramen shop (like the Ramen 101 chains) is owned by Chinese or Koreans. They’re not bad per se but the ramen they serve is not Japanese. I knew this place was authentic because of their noodles: their tonkotsu ramen has the thin, firm white noodle normally seen in Hakata-style bowls, whereas the Yuzu Shoyu comes with the classic, wavy egg noodles. It’s a nice touch that shows they are serious about serving good ramen. Chashu is delicious….its slightly smokey from being torched but it also falls apart in your mouth. It’s also thicker than your average chashu slice. Tonkotsu broth is creamy and rich, without being too salty. It’s also balanced with the addition of pickled ginger. The Yuzu-shoyu on the other hand, is more savory and tart, with a good amount of spice from sansho (Japanese Sichuan pepper). Service was good and straightforward. I’d come back again when I’m craving real ramen but don’t want to cross the tunnel.

Great bowl of shio ramen during a rainy day. From the open kitchen, you can see they have multiple pots of soup under preparation, which shows they are serious about their ramen. Also tried the Nankotsu Karage (fried chicken cartilage), both the ramen and the chicken tasted great.

Delicious food and friendly, attentive service in a cozy space. We loved the renkon chips (perfectly crisp), karaage and salt and pepper wings (both crisp, tender, and flavorful), hiroshi tonkotsu ramen (rich broth, perfect egg, nice assortment of toppings, and lovely al dente noodles), tantanmen (spicy, creamy, yummy), and miso black cod (so delicious).

Great ambiance, meal, and service. Salt and pepper wings cooked/fried so perfectly light I almost thought I may have been a tempura batter. Will definitely return again when on the West Coast🥳

Great menu with tons of different choices. First time here after searching for top ramen by votes near concord…..completely understandable why after our delicious meal. The space is small and there is a constant queue of people wanting service. That wait will be longer if your party is 4+…. But worth it IMHO. Cheers and ty for having us. If someone from the wait staff ever sees this review; pls accept some feedback. If you see a couple with multiple kids struggling to keep them quiet while waiting for their food to show up….. and if they’ve ordered a few appetizers pls deliver them before the entrees. We would’ve loved to have had the karrage chicken / edamame as a distraction instead of having all the food show up at once.

On a chilly night, we sought refuge in search of delicious ramen, and we stumbled upon the best place in town. Tucked away in a small and quaint corner, this hidden gem surprised us with its incredible ramen. Each slurp was a symphony of flavors, warming us from the inside out. Despite its unassuming appearance, this little spot quickly became our favorite ramen joint in town.

My favorite ramen restaurant in downtown Walnut Creek! I really love their ramen noodle and broth. The pork meat is also really soft and nicely cook. And I do like to order appetizers with Asahi beer. The restaurant is small and always busy at noon and dinner time.

One of my favorite places for ramen. I actually like it better than the famous one in Oakland and Japan Town. The choices of ramen are traditional and adequate. The staffs are excellent. It has a sister Izakaya called Tozai which is also amazing.

Small, friendly, local spot. Solid ramen and great service. The chicken karaage is awesome and Asahi on tap.

Food was outstanding! Taste just like some places we ate at in Kyoto and Osaka. Restaurant was a bit small and very hot inside. Besides that no complains, will be going back soon.

Stop in for lunch. Started with Hanetsuki Gyoza flavor outstanding. Then onto Hiroshi Tonkotsu Ramen. When the noodle bowl arrived it look and tasted so good.

The service was very quick, and the ramen was decent. It's not the best I've tried, but it's worth stopping by if you're in the area. Parking could be difficult. I'd come back to try their different dishes!

Ramen Hiroshi is a cozy little restaurant near the main street in downtown Walnut Creek. I really like how friendly and charming it is. They have around six tables for customers. We decided to try two dishes. The first one was called Hiroshi Tonkotsu Ramen, and the second was Yuru Ramen. You can look at the menu picture for a description of them. The Tonkatsu ramen was just what I expected, and it was really good. The noodles were great, and the broth was tasty and hearty. The Yuru ramen was something different. I was in the mood to try something new. It had a bit of a spicy kick to it and a hint of citrus flavor. If you like that kind of taste, you'll enjoy it. I also liked that it came with some bok choy vegetables. Both bowls had a nice egg but they were cold. Overall, I really liked the food, and I would definitely go back to this place.

Good stuff ramen wise. Very tasty and delicious. Would recommend Hiroshi Tankotsu Ramen $15 if you like rich chicken broth flavor. Personally chose Miso Ramen and was very pleased with it , except for the salt level. Service wise would suggest adding some resources during weekends. We had to wait for over 30 mins to get our food served. Overall, good spot and will be back for more.

Nothing we ordered had much of any flavor. I ordered the Spiciest thing on the menu and it was bland and not spicy. Even my niece who hates spicy things ate it. They only offer a chili paste and spice mix to add, not hot sauces, which would have helped. With so many selections for ramen in the bay area, I'd think they'd try harder with the recipes. The drink selection is all bottles you can find at the corner store for cheaper. Just not much effort shown to provide a better product.

It’s fine for the limited options we have for Ramen in the area but has been disappointing both times I’ve been. Took 40 mins for takeout on a Monday night where only 3/4 of the small restaurant was full. On top of that they left two ingredients off each ramen bowl which is very frustrating when paying over $20 for each bowl. WC needs more Ramen options but until then this is all ya got.

Ordered 2 Ramen with extra meat for takeout. Opened it and no extra meat. Flavor was just ok. $60 for 2 Ramen…overpriced for average food.

The food looks good visually but it's far from actually being good. Noodles are not standard and silky ramen noodles. It's thin chinese egg noodles. Soup was flavorless and didn't seem like it was really rich creamy and thick like tonkatsu, definitely not authentic. For $17 I'd expect hand crafted quality, but I got frozen food. I feel sorry for the white folks who eat here thinking they're getting an authentic ramen experience when they're not.

The store close time is 8:30, when we got there 8:10, the flipped the opening sign already while there were other customers in the store. When we ask if they are closed the person was just waved at us, without any explanation or offering take out option.
