Selma is a class-act! After visiting business around with Xero Accounting Software, we stopped in for a bite to eat and was blown away by the hospitality and a true "hole-in-wall gem". The surf and turf burrito I had was one of the best I've ever had (and I'm MEXICAN!) and the atmosphere had so much good local energy. We spoke at length with the owner about helping them and their accountant expand their two locations... and trust me they're growing fast!!! Enjoy incredible food, drinks, and atmosphere :)
Great chips and salsas to start—fresh and flavorful! We ordered a combo plate that included two carnitas street tacos served with beans, rice, greens, and fresh guacamole, as well as two enchiladas with verde sauce and an additional street taco. Everything was delicious and well-prepared. The setting was casual with seat-yourself dining, and the service was prompt and courteous throughout our visit. Definitely recommend for a satisfying and enjoyable meal!
Great little place! Glad to see this location with a successful local bar and eatery! The food was good! For the price it's very good! The margaritas were spot on perfect! Lots of TVs to watch the sporting events. We went in early afternoon so there wasn't a crowd but I've driven by on several occasions when they were parking on the street so I can only imagine how packed it was inside. We'll definitely be back!
This was our first time here. We were passing through on our way home. What a gem! We will definitely be back to try more menu items. The chips are crispy and both salsas were awesome. The single tacos were one Baja fish and one crispy pastor. Hubby got the enchilada plate and he said the sauce was spot on. Jessica was attentive, quick and helpful!
We have visited a few times. The service is always great! The waiters are always nice. We've never had a bad experience. The Baja tacos and the carnitas tacos are our favorite.
First time there tonight and the food was fantastic! The atmosphere was really great too. Our waitress was a doll, she answered our questions and never made us feel rushed. The service is phenomenal l, in can’t remember ever being served so quickly. It’s a gem in West Sacramento for sure! The Watermelon Margarita was delicious and my husband was pleased with how cold his beer was! This will definitely be a go-to place for us.
Altos Cantina is a refreshing change of pace from the usual chain offerings in West Sacramento. The place has a local feel that's hard to come by around here, and it's good to see a small business delivering quality food. Our family shared a mixed ceviche and birria tacos with consomé, both of which were satisfying and flavorful. The kids' cheese quesadilla was a hit — straightforward and well-made. My wife and I enjoyed our palomas; they were well-mixed and complemented the meal nicely. The full bar and busy atmosphere gave the place a lively vibe. All in all, good value at $72 after tip, and it's nice to be able to support a local business that's doing things right.
Went for happy hour on a Wednesday ordered Chile relleno lunch special and husband had torta with cantarito. They give you chips and salsa. 5/5! Green salsa was delicious. Chile relleno was ok, the beans, rice and tortilla that came with were so good. Cantarito was 4/5. Torta was 5/5. Total was $34. Great food, will be back again
The food was delicious and the servings were really generous. The ambiance was nice, the place was well lighted, although it was a bit loud that you have to raise your voice during conversations. The staff were friendly and attentive.
I don't often leave reviews, but my wife and I enjoyed this spot so much that we wanted to help spread the word! The vibe and atmosphere of this place is great...modern mexican with a bit of a sports bar feel. They had a really nice outdoor seating area as well that makes you forget you are on Jefferson Blvd...the food was stellar...honestly the best chicken fajitas I can remember having anywhere and their cucumber marg was on par with the best in town. I'd highly recommend heading in and giving it a shot...I promise you wont be disappointed! For the owners: if you could add a veggie burrito with all the good stuff (guac, cheese, sour cream, beans, rice, veggies cooked in the fajita sauce) to the menu as it's own standalone item and priced accordingly that would be a great add!

Was here today for lunch. Micheladas were great. Service friendly and timely. Tacos were tasteful. I had breakfast and enjoyed my breakfast burrito. Place was clean and they had TVs on sports. I recommend this place for your Mexican food appetite.
This place is fantastic and they make a huge and super good blended margarita! 😍 The staff there is very friendly and super attentive and checked on us multiple times. It's clean in there and the bathrooms are really clean and the bar seemed to be in proper order; something I'm sure Taffer would enjoy seeing. The food was great and the menu has pretty much anything you would expect to find in any Mexican restaurant. The chicken was exceptionally good. A+
Highly recommended spot for breakfast or dinner! The food is delicious, the drinks are amazing, and the service is outstanding—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit!

Me and my boyfriend stopped by for some quick street tacos. They serve you complementary chips and salsa upon arrival. We ordered the al pastor, birria, asada, chicken tacos. They are pretty good if you want a quick bite at a good price too. We got the paloma drink, I do wish it was stronger but it was refreshing other the less.
All the food was great, but the carnitas and beans were the best. Small little gem of s place with good prices, great service, and tasty drinks.
We have been here many times and it’s very consistent with good food and great drinks. Service is always amazing and food/drinks come quick even when busy.

Altos has a happy hour 3-5, but no Taco Tuesday special. Street tacos ala carte are $3.50 and worth the price. Tortillas were fresh and supple, if not made in house. I had the carne asada, pastor, and chorizo. All were well-seasoned and tender, generously portions with fresh tasty topping. The house red and green salsas were flavorful and just hinting at pica. Service was good. Ambiance is just a touch noisy, but hey, it's a cantina. Recommended.

First time here had the chicken, enchilada, with rice and refried beans. It was good, and the chicken was dry. The customer service was outstanding. I would try something different, but I would go again.
Quite disappointed. I was waiting at the bar. Not a busy evening and the bartender just ignored me to serve one of his friend who came in a few minutes after me. Also you spend 30-40 bucks and you will still be charged extra for even a small salsa. No thanks. There are many other options around. On vegetarian nachos they just put some corn and a few pickled jalapeños, melted in the microwave… for $17!!! the fish tacos were so incredibly mid and they cost nearly $8- Each! I do not recommend. The bits of salsa you see in the picture was the extra charge that we put on it.. still looking pretty sad.
UPDATE June 18, 24: We went for HH the other day and it didn’t disappoint our taste buds! Great service and quality. Also notice how they change the menu to reflect the extra charge on the ceviche! Thank you for listening to my feedback. LOOK at your receipt before paying. Food was good, service was good. I got the CEVICHE CAMPECHANO which was Combo of Shrimp (camarón), Octopus (pulpo) & Fish (pescado). As stated on the menu. When we paid, they added $4 for the octopus! Originally we were told it was extra and they stood firm with it. I asked for the menu to see the price, and I explained the verbiage doesn’t say anything about the octopus being extra. Wasn’t worth asking for that $4 refund since we already paid, but I did express that if it’s $4, they need to change the wording.

The second time eating here was much better than the 1st time. The server took our order right away. Brought chips and salsa to the table. Food was served pretty quickly & very good.

My tacos were drenched in sour cream, garnished with corn. I scraped as much of the sour cream off as I could, pushing the corn aside. The meat was sliced into small discs. It tasted ok, but it was really weird. I admit I didn’t try the rice and beans after my wife said they tasted like they were from a box. We really wanted to like this place, as we like Mexican food and are looking for some good places to eat as we are new here.
