Enjoy viewing a beautiful scenery of the lake of Westlake Village, CA 91361. Sitting at the Zin Bistro Americana for lunch with a lake view is enjoyable and relaxing. The dinner and lunch menu is the same. The food quality is excellent.

Very, Very, Very nice place. The food is absolutely delicious. The wait staff is exemplary. BUT...the location is to die for. It's on the lake with incredible views of the electric boats coarsing through the water with the lakeside mansions in the background. I've attached photos to confirm.

VIEW of Westlake Bay, and it's like being far away in another location. Don't miss this breathtaking setting. We are so lucky this is in Westlake Village! Try the sushi combo from the dinner menu (AMAZING). Salmon salad with vinaigrette is also delish, and the bento boxes (my fave is the salmon) are also "must tries". Shishito peppers even have dipping sauce. This is the perfect place for an outdoor lunch.

The foods were amazing. The service is impeccable. Love the atmosphere and the beautiful sunset on the lake.

Beautiful views. Highly recommend during sunset hours. The staff was professional and informative, kept water and wine glasses full, and was prompt when we ordered more food. No liquor was served, only beer and wine. The sushi was very fresh. The rolls were very well made, and the sauce on top was délicate, light, and didn't drown the roll. I was surprised how much I really liked the "rice biscuit" with sushi and avocado. Very enjoyable and delicious experience!!

My third visit and this place still impresses me. Took my daughter Saturday and reserved a nice table towards the front near the lake. The view was fantastic. We dined on Tempura bento boxes, sashimi combos and had amazing drinks of the Watermelon Mezcal and Original Cadillac margaritas. Our service by Brayden was excellent and we had an amazing day. Oh, and we enjoyed the delicious Baked Alaska dessert.

Such a great little spot. It's hidden on the back side of a strip mall and has a lovely Lakeview. The service was great and the food was excellent. You should definitely try this spot if you haven't yet, and if you have I'm sure you've been back a couple times.

We had a very nice experience at the Landing Grill and Sushi Bar Res. - great food, great service, and great locations. It has a breathtaking view where you can enjoy the meals and the view. We ordered the soup and salad, Korean Steak, and K2 Sushi - all are very tasty. I will definitely come back again, but for dinner to enjoy the sunset view. This place has my strong recommendation.

A Perfect Blend of Flavor, Ambiance, and Views We recently dined at this incredible spot and were thoroughly impressed from start to finish. The moment we arrived, we were greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere paired with stunning views that made the whole evening feel special. Whether you're out for a romantic evening, a celebration, or just a quality night with friends, this place delivers the perfect backdrop. We started with the K2 roll, a beautifully presented sushi roll topped with just the right balance of flavor and texture. The roll was fresh, creative, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. Even if you're not typically a sushi person, this one might win you over. Next came the chicken lettuce wraps, which were crisp, flavorful, and satisfying. The chicken was well-seasoned and the sauce added a great depth of flavor without overpowering the dish. The crunchy rice noodles gave a great textural contrast, and the fresh lettuce made it feel light yet hearty. The steak salad was another hit. The grilled steak was tender and generously portioned, sitting atop a bed of fresh greens. It was both savory and refreshing—definitely a great option if you're looking for something hearty but not too heavy. We also enjoyed some expertly crafted cocktails, which were the perfect complement to the meal. Balanced, flavorful, and beautifully presented, they added a nice touch of sophistication to the evening. To top it all off, we ended with a rich and decadent chocolate lava cake dessert, served with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and drizzled with chocolate and berry sauces. It was as delicious as it was beautiful—a perfect finale to a fantastic meal. Between the scenic views, relaxing ambiance, attentive service, and exceptional food, this restaurant is a must-visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable dining experience that checks every box.

We went hear for a group outing with the office and they handled the 20 of us excellently. I was impressed with the nice heaters on their outdoor patio to make you comfortable in the cool air. The wait staff was very attentive and served us well. Despite having 20 of us, the food came out close together and hot and fresh. Sitting next to the lake was a treat with all of the beautiful scenery despite the cloud cover. I will certainly go back when I am in the area.

Very nice upscale lakeside elegance, yet not pretentious. Start with a Tito’s martini with the blue chew olives, and then we enjoyed a nice size portion of fried calamari (with spicy sauce). Then, stir fried chicken pot stickers. The Lost Coast Indica IPA came in a huge 16oz bottle for only $12. The Elberle cab sav was $15 a glass. Overall, pretty reasonable for lakeside outdoor covered dining! We never made it to dinner food, but it sure looked good as it went by us!!! VictorB

This place is a great place to hang out with friends or go on a date. I suggest making a reservation if you want a spot overlooking the lake. My boyfriend and I were able to walk in to eat but they asked us if we had a reservation. If you want a specific area then I suggest getting a reservation. There’s public restrooms in the complex and this establishment offers one as well,It is inside near the sushi bar.

This is such a great restaurant at the lake. The food is extraordinary, and sushi is amazing. The staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive. Also, we love the view. They have to menus, but everything tastes great. We will definitely be back when we will be in the area.

Nice Google maps find! Food was fresh and tasty, service was really good and views were nice. Kids burger meal was big enough for two kids to share. My wife loved the Poke bowl and my carne asada platter was phenomenal. Highly recommended!

This is an excellent restaurant in an awesome location right on Westlake Lake! The Landing Sushi Bar & Grill specializes in sushi (hence the name), but has so much more, ranging from steaks, fish, other American classics, pastas, a plethora of appetizers, and more! It is pricey, but where else are you going to find lakefront dining in Southern California? Very few places offer this! When it’s nice outside, you can sit on the patio and take in the views. I really enjoy it! This most recent visit, we opted for a majority of sushi items: Big Eye Tuna Carpaccio (absolutely wonderful starter), Endless Summer Roll, Fancy Roll, All-In Roll, Tiger Roll, OMG Roll, Snap Crackle Pop Roll, and a Mongolian Beef Bento Box! Everything was really good! Some of the best things were the tuna carpaccio, OMG Roll, and Fancy Roll, however all were great. There wasn’t a single thing we ordered that we really disliked. This is one of the better sushi restaurants in this part of LA and we will continue to return! The combination of great food + lakefront dining is virtually unbeatable. It’s really nice having this little mall area on Westlake Lake that has these restaurants. Check this place out if you haven’t yet!!

Absolutely AMAZING 🤯 From the view, to the service, to the food... all I can say is OMG 😲 WOW 😋 Shrimp & Scallop Stir-fry 🫶 Mongolian Beef 🙌 Grilled Salmon over Fettuccine 😝 Chilean Sea Bass w/mashed potatoes and vegetable de jour 🤩 Plus... sushi 🍣 rolls to die for 😍 If anyone is visiting in or around Westlake Village, it is a MUST for lunch or especially dinner. The view of the lake the hours before sunset 🌅 is FABULOUS 😎 Our server, Lauren, so bubbly, friendly, and attentive. WE WILL BE BACK to visit from Florida soon!!!!!!

We got the sushi and it was amazing! Everything was fresh and tasty. If only we didn't have a plane to catch we would have stayed for dessert and just to enjoy the view. It was a full house, and we had a big group so reservations are a must! Only downside there was only one shared restroom so I could see there being a decent line for the restroom. Will definitely go back and take our time! Check this place out, you won't be disappointed!

Used to live in the area. Came up from San Diego last weekend. Had no idea reservations are required- you could always sit inside before. Lauren the hostess was so kind and understanding with our plight. She did everything she could to find us a table with a short wait time. Omar was our server and he was so friendly, happy, and attentive even though it was a mad house last Saturday. Everything was FANTASTIC. Same as I remembered (I ALWAYS ordered the salmon bento box with beurre blanc sauce but only teriyaki on menu now. Thankfully they let me substitute! Hubby had Korean flank steak stir fry and he said the beef was delicious. We started with the Albacore Sashimi Special and it was divine! The fish was so fresh that it basically melted in your mouth. Oh, and the bruleed banana/brownie/icecream was fantastic!) Outstanding service, a beautiful atmosphere, and delicious food! We will definitely be back- but we'll make reservations for sure next time!

What a wonderful evening on the lake at the Landing in Westlake Village. JJ was our server and was very professional and friendly. We started with drinks and appetizers. The shrimp tempura and a fantastic sushi roll with spicy tuna. After our appetizers we ordered the Mongolian beef with rice and a Chinese salad with a crunchy roll. Everything was amazing and we truly enjoyed our evening out. The hostess was also so nice and found us a nice table with a ceiling heater for my wife! Great people, food and ambiance. Highly recommended

We are here on what was likely the hottest day of the year, or close to it. With only outside dining available we were a bit wary. However, their staff were masters of manipulating the myriad umbrellas to create a barrier between all of the diners and the scorching sun and the diners, so much so it was very comfortable when the thermometer read 101. The food and service were very good. The sushi was on par with the most fastidious Japanese restaurant. We had the shrimp tempura, shishito peppers, double yellow tail roll, and sashimi platter. I never expect much from roles as the sauce lets the place cover up inferior fish. But this one was as fresh as could be. Really restored my faith in rolls. But the star was the sashimi. Out of the ocean fresh, and quite delicious, perfect texture. I enjoyed the experience so much that we are coming back tomorrow with 2 friends. I highly recommend The Landing as the place to go for an intimate or family meal.

Absolutely loved our experience at The Landing Grill & Sushi Bar! We ordered a sushi boat and it was absolutely delicious — super fresh, beautifully presented, and perfect for sharing. The service was warm and attentive, and you just can’t beat that gorgeous lakeside view. A perfect spot for a relaxing and memorable meal. Can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful service by Kendra, food was outstanding, atmosphere very, very nice. The only minor issue were some people, two tables behind us, who had the loudest mouths, and ear piercing laughs. However, once they left the wonderful evening continued. Therefore, we highly recommend the landing.

Sushi is great here, and the view from the lake is a plus. Tip: order your sushi to go & eat it by the lake, there's a little green area there where you can just have your little picnic

The perfect date spot to take you and your lovely someone too. Wether sitting outside by the beautiful lakeside or inside their modern cozy sushi bar is spectacular. We sat inside at the sushi bar during a slow hour and pretty much had our own personal chefs making everything right infront of us and while giving various recommendations based upon our taste. The service and food cant get much better then this. Highly recommended

The food itself was tasty, but the oily foods were a bit too oily. The portions are pretty decent, and the prices are high but understandable for the area.

I never would've thought that this place was that popular, full house when we came. Host was nice and given us a nice seating overlooking the view. So romantic. Food was good, except the one i ordered Mongolian beef. My opinion it was just an ordinary the way it was prep. Like you ordered at pick up sticks or any other asian restaurant. But Love the salad that came with it though. But their pad thai pasta was good and so as the scallops and shrimp pasta. Id give it a thumbs up. Their pricing i would say is above fair since the view of the place is fantastic, especially when weather permits. Our server Jorge, was nice and very attentive. It was a busy night but had a time to attend our needs. I would come back and maybe try other courses.

The quality is worth the price. The menu is eclectic. The dishes we ordered were delicious. Seen below sea bass with grilled vegetables (awesome but a but pricey), seared tuna appetizers (excellent), two kinds of sushi rolls (robust and filling), pecan caramel cake (delectable), lava cake (outstanding)! So why 4 stars? The service was great at the beginning of the evening but it seems the staff have difficulty multi-tasking with more customers. Go early!

Lovely restaurant right by the water! Off the bat, we were immediately attracted to the plentiful outdoor seating. They even welcomed our dog 🐶 with his own bowl of water. The drinks were aesthetically pleasing, but could have packed a little more punch for me. Chicken Picatta was alright, but literally swimming in oil… way too greasy and heavy if you ask me. Fries were perfectly crispy! The good news - the sushi was actually incredible! The nigiri, sashimi, and cut rolls were irresistible. So surprised at how good the fish was for a restaurant that doesn’t exclusively serve sushi, but we learned that there are actually two separate kitchens (one for sushi, one for other selections). Smart move in case someone in your party isn’t a sushi fan, but you’re still craving it 😜 The staff were so sweet and very helpful. Pricing was fair considering the excellent service and pleasant atmosphere, but do wish the regular food items (besides the sushi) reciprocated higher quality for these prices. Nonetheless, a pleasant experience and worth a visit for an enjoyable meal outside!

This place was great. I don't come to this area much. Found this place online. With the reviews my friend and I decided to give it a try. It's right on the water. All the boutique shops in the area was very cute. All the staff here were polite, greeted us right away and eager to help us. We had a variety of tasty items. Spicy edamame, Asian chicken salad, miso soup, yellowtail carpaccio, and the omg roll. Edamame was good but I didn't think it was spicy at all. The salad was ok, the chicken was a bit dry. Soup was fine. The carpaccio was delicious. Also the OMG roll was amazing. The staff was pretty great. However, for some reason they took away my bread basket and butter before I had a chance to get some... The view of the water and little boats was great. While eating we had a few dozen little birds waiting on the grass hoping to clear up some scraps. They were actually pretty entertaining. Definitely plan to visit here again. Felt like we found an unexpected gem.

I’ve ordered the “sushi,” and it’s flavorful, colorful, and generously portioned. The ingredients are fresh, well-balanced, and delicious. However, some portions of the rolls are too big , and the rice is not so sticky, falling apart when trying to eat them. That said, instead of calling it “sushi,” they should label it “American sushi” or something similar, as it’s totally different from authentic Japanese sushi. However, what they serve is still very tasty and worth the try . The wasabi isn’t great, and the bread is just okay. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere, with a beautiful lake view, enhances the experience. The menu is diverse, offering a wide variety of options. It’s definitely a place I would return to for a casual, delicious, and unpretentious lunch.

This restaurant offers breathtaking romantic views of the lake, with the restaurant itself situated right next to it. While the service could benefit from some improvement, the stunning views make it worth the wait. To expedite the service, it’s advisable to inform the staff about your preferences promptly after placing your drink order. I encountered an extended wait due to my initial hesitation in ordering. This place is an ideal choice for couples who are passionate about sushi. The ambiance is romantic, and when you order their “OMG” roll, you’ll genuinely be amazed by its exceptional taste. It’s truly a must-try. As an alternative, their Conejo Roll is equally delightful. On the other hand, I tried their Mongolian Beef, but it fell short of expectations. The meat was chewy and excessively fatty, despite the great seasoning. Consequently, I wouldn’t recommend ordering this dish again. Ultimately, come for the incredible views and their mouthwatering sushi, and you won’t be disappointed.

Took my lady here for her birthday and pretty much all of the food we ordered was very low-quality and cheap while charging high-prices. It was a similar experience to eating buffet food at a resort. Not bad! And the atmosphere has a great view of the lake, and the staff was so nice and accommodating, the food quality just did not match the prices.

Tables are super crowded together where every time a server walks by, they brush against you - super annoying. Making reservations 5 weeks in advance to sit out near the water for the boat parade meant nothing because my family and I were close to the chaotic mess that is the path where people walk, the area people hang out to wait for their tables, and the place where every server has to yell “corner” so nobody runs into them unexpectedly. Super annoying. As far as the food, of course, like everything nowadays, it’s way overpriced, especially when you don’t get the view you’re paying for and are crammed like cattle into the main area. My son liked his burger, but how bad can that be? My niece’s pasta was fine. Came out wrong but was quickly remade with apologies. My salad - the Caesar with blackened chicken was average. The chicken had no “kick” to it - not blackened at all. There were like 3 croutons and it was hard to even find any parm. It was fine, but for $30….? Again, the atmosphere can balance high prices but when you don’t even get that? I would’ve rather gone somewhere else that was less noisy, less pretentious, and more about providing a festive, peaceful and relaxing atmosphere rather than a cram-as-many-people-in-as-possible place that couldn’t care less about reservations and providing the diners with a top-notch experience. Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere if its ambiance and location that matters to you.

I first visited this restaurant over 20 years ago and had an incredible experience. Hoping to relive that memory, I brought a new date here recently and was very disappointed. Even with a reservation, we were asked to wait for a table. I noted it was her birthday, but no one acknowledged it. We came specifically for the Baked Alaska, and when our waiter realized that was all we planned to order, his interest in our table vanished—we waited far too long to be served and checked on. The espresso arrived without sugar, and he didn’t ask if we wanted a double. The hostess was equally unfriendly. A simple smile would have gone a long way, but instead she looked like she hated her job and couldn’t wait to leave. The seating area felt overcrowded and loud, packing guests in like sardines. The dish presentation was nice, but it was too small to share and clearly tasted like it was ordered and not made in-house. I truly wanted this visit to match the magic I remembered, but it fell flat—very hard.

This is the condition of the sushi that was given to us for a takeout. These rolls are not even properly assembled. We ordered a Rainbow roll too with fish that was not fresh. Big difference in the quality of food and service since my previous visit as a dine-in customer.

The waiters and staff r all great except for the manager Giselle. She was so unaccommodating and had this incredibly rude tone. She was very unpleasant and unprofessional. Everyone else though was awesome and ambiance was nice.

M
Maritza Reyes

I was a customer at this restaurant when I witnessed a very uncomfortable situation involving the manager, Giselle. She was verbally assaulting another individual in front of everyone, raising her voice and speaking in an extremely unprofessional and disrespectful manner. It was honestly shocking to watch as a bystander — the tone and aggression she used were completely unacceptable for someone in a management position. The atmosphere in the restaurant became tense, and several guests looked uncomfortable. A manager should set an example of professionalism and kindness, but Giselle’s behavior was the opposite. I truly hope the restaurant addresses this issue, as no one should be treated that way in a public setting.

It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had, me and my fiancee were celebrating the valentines day, we ordered 2 entrees, one of the entrees never came, we asked 3 separate times for an update and each time we were told that they will go ahead and check up on it, we waited more than an hour for a simpl fish taco dish, which never came, talked to the manager, she had no real explanation as to what might have happened to our food? Was it not placed? Was it given to another table and never reordered even after we asked 3 times? Was it because of how I looked? Maybe the waitress did not want to help us because of our nationality? Till this day I still don't know and feel very disappointed and disrespected. Hope this reaches to the right person so Other guests would not experience the humility that we have experienced.

We enjoyed the food and atmosphere. However, I discreetly asked (away from the table) for a small birthday cake with a candle, and was told it was taken care of. Unfortunately, it never came. When I mentioned it at checkout, there was no apology—only an offer to make it then. It was disappointing, especially for a birthday.

It's New Year's Eve at 7:30pm. A couple minutes after we were sat, a server named "Giselle" drunkenly stumbled over to us and started screaming Happy New Year over and over right in our faces. One person at our table had just started eating a roll and the girl grabbed her hand squeezing it and the dinner roll while she complimented her drink choice. We told her to relax and her response was that they "didn't pay her enough to be sober." She then proceeded to pick up and drink one of our glasses of water. Then she sat down on the floor indian style and wanted to take our order from there. How none of the management noticed how drunk she was truly was beyond everyone sitting at our table. I had to flag down a food runner and motion to him that she was extremely intoxicated. He had to pick her up off the floor and carry her away from our table while she repeatedly asked him what he was doing. They gave us another server who took our order. When they dropped our food off we realized they didn't serve one of us a starter salad he ordered and a nigiri order he asked for as well. We waited 5-10 minutes for our server to come check on us to let her know about our missing orders but since she never came we flagged down another food runner to request that he got our server. An additional 10 minutes went by before she actually came. I sent back my order because the service was so horrible we just wanted to leave at that point. We drove from North Hollywood in heavy rain to have a nice New Year's family dinner and that's how we were treated. This year was bad enough, we could've went without that experience adding to it. For any management reading this, our check number was #94 at Table S1. 2026 can't come soon enough!
