Avis sur Fresh Catch Poke Co. Williamsville
FCPC: tuna, salmon and some wonderfully crisp fresh veggies. All on a bed of warm bamboo rice. Seasoned with a mild ponzu sauce. A side of spicy ponzu for dipping and seaweed salad (because I can't have sushi without seaweed salad) was a little extra but worth a try😀
Absolutely Love it here! I went for a Manicure at Excuria & then drove next door for lunch! My Nail Specialist Shay was Amazing 🤩 Had a Dazzle Dry Mani today! She hydrated my cuticles to brave this Cold Winter Tundra! At least the color reminds me that spring will be here soon! (And that it matches the Watermelon Radishes 🤭) Nothing a good Mani & Fresh Catch can't fix (For today 😉)
Never a disappointment from the professional staff at this location. I prefer to get takeout these days and when I do, they have been efficient and errorless. You can order at a screen to the left of the entrance, then your meal is brought to the front table. I love the creative beverage options as well! Their bowls are always deliciously fresh and generously prepared.
Poke is popular for health conscious people looking to get the most nutritious options for a quick serve lifestyle. Heres some things you will see: Fresh food Clean restrooms Open, chill atmosphere Yoga pants Man buns Lulu lemon Kombucha Sriracha Smiles What you won't see: Fattening food Low prices Grumpy people Gum under the tables Hamburgers Health snobs All in all, don't wait to go here. I thought it would be a bit awkward and unsatiating for my taste and surprisingly I left completely satisfied!
If you love poke (or are looking to try it), you need to head on over to Fresh Catch. You won't be disappointed. They offer a wide variety of poke bowls and other items you would find in Hawaii that aren't so common around here. They even have Maui Brewing Co. on tap, which is very rare here in WNY. I really enjoyed coming here and will definitely be back.
Terrible customer service, went at 11:45am back door still locked and even though they were almost open for an hour they were still setting up. Barely acknowledged by the girl behind the counter. Order an Acia bowl and she started to make my order along with a couple other online orders because there was no one else there. After 15 mins and letting her know I had somewhere to be so if she could please finish my order. She did not but continued to work on everything and I left and went to squeeze down the road. Had a acia bowl less then five mins later. Set your restaurant up when it’s closed so that you’re prepared when it’s open take care of the guest that are in person before online orders of people who are not present.
There’s a string fish order when you walk in the door. We wanted to order Açaí bowls and arrived @ 8:15 to be told they weren’t making them. I ordered 2 bowls and a lobster roll. I was very disappointed to see that they prepared their food by placing it into a baggie and putting the baggie into hot water to heat up the items. I don’t prefer to have my food warmed this way and since it was our first time I didn’t know about it. The bowls were expensive compared to the replaces in town where you can get a freshly made rice bowl.
The creator of the Surf and Turf bowl must liked sour taste a lot. Or it’s just one inconsistency. I understand there’s citrus sauce in it. But my bowl is overly sour that other tastes are hardly noticeable. And it costs me 16 dollars. I would love to like this place at the first visit , didn’t happen unfortunately. The place is spacious nice and clean tho.
I consider myself a lobster roll efficianado, traveling all over WNY for these delicious treats. First time at Fresh Catch and it'll likely be the last. I can deal with the $35 price as the combo comes with chips, a pickle and Mac salad. Why no Mac in the photo? They were out, did they warn prior to charging no. Did they offer replacement? Also, no. That on top of sticky tables... and I mean all of them, I just cannot recommend for a mediocre lobster roll.
We are visiting from another state and decided to visit family here because of the good reviews. The food was pricey but tasty and healthy. I guess I was just a bit disappointed because it seemed like the staff was impatient and gave each other an obviously annoyed look when it took us a little longer to decide on what to order (7 people, including 3 kids). I spent $110 for our group.
I have loved Fresh Catch for many years. I always recommend it to friends and co-workers. However, I just went to the Downtown location for a lobster roll and had quite the experience. I’m pregnant and I’ve been craving a lobster roll. The gluten free roll was always so appreciated, but it’s no longer offered. When I was greeted I received a cold and annoyed, “Can I help you?” I placed my order and asked if it could be made on the gluten free roll. I got an obviously annoyed, “No, and it will take twenty minutes.” Like, damn. Did I offend you? I waited all day for this. The customer service was atrocious. I actually felt embarrassed that I asked. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be back. Though it’s been a year since my last visit, it’s clearly gone downhill.
I had high hopes for this place. The design and ambiance was very attractive. The staff were very kind. I originally went just for the chicken teriyaki bowl, which was good and it satisfied my craving. I also got the Maine lobster roll and the traditional açaí bowl. Comparing to an açaí bowl I got at the Squeeze Juicery down the street, this one is smaller, the smoothie portion wasn’t as flavorful, you get less toppings, and the price was $2 more. The Maine lobster roll was disappointing. Having lived in Maine for 4 years, this is not like any Maine lobster roll I’ve ever had. Maine lobster rolls are simple with cold lightly dressed big chucks of lobster and a squeeze of lemon on a buttery toasted roll. The only thing that reminded me of a typical Maine lobster roll was the price ($29.25 market price). I felt robbed paying for this lobster roll that was over-seasoned with maybe Old Bay Seasoning, the lobster chunks were so tiny, the bread was slightly stale and not toasted in butter, and the chips offered the same Old Bay flavor which wasn’t pleasant to bring the whole meal together. Kudos to having the right kind of roll and the couple bites of Mac salad was delicious.
I went here for the first time with my daughter and grandson. The servers were not very helpful nor pleasant. They were more interested in talking to each other than paying attention to the customer. We got 2 large bowls and as you can see in the picture the portions are not equal. My daughter asked for 1 1/2 scoops of tuna and 1/2 scoop of spicey tuna and was told they can't do 1/2 scoops. Our overall visit was a poor experience and I will probably not return.
Be sure to tell the staff how to do their job. Ordered the "2 for $30" bowls. We were mischarged (full price) and when we questioned it, we were told to "just remind her next time." Umm are you kidding me? Unfortunately there won't be a next time after such poor customer service. Charge people the prices posted!!
I was extremely disappointed by the gluten free options. No marinated fish, plain and bland chicken or shrimp only. It would be a very simple solution to make their sauces from scratch using gluten free soy so that people with celiac could also enjoy a poke bowl. Won’t be back until they offer more as my bowl was thrown away uneaten. Solid 20$ straight down the drain.
I usually enjoy fresh catch but as of recently not so much. I stopped in Sunday afternoon and got 2 surf and turf bowls. Which have frequently increased in price over the past 2 years to $18 each. You would think for that much the ingredients would actually be fresh. Instead every other time I order the same bowl, the avocados are rotted and the shrimp aren’t cleaned . This time there were multiple shrimp in excess of 4 in each bowl that weren’t cleaned and both had rotted avocados. So out of the quarter of an avocado they give you for $18 half of it was rotted. To top it all off, they didn’t even put the ginger citrus sauce on it. I won’t continue to support a business that consistently raises prices and not their quality!
Ordered for the first time & Will never be ordering again. 🥱 I got the steak teriyaki bowl with extra crab Kani. Not only did they not add the extra side that I paid for, but the “steak” tastes like cat food 🙂 the meat itself was not solid. It was more like a soggy mushy pâté like texture. One bite and that was it. Went straight into the garbage!
