Recensioni di Lane’s OAK’D BBQ Addison
I finally ventured in to try this spot out and thank goodness! I've been missing out... Waygu Brisket was phenomenal, melt in your mouth tender... no sauce needed flavor packed! The turkey was moist and I sure did enjoy that Carolina Bbq sauce with it. The wings whew, what a wing, I had just enough space to try one, theat smoked flavor was everything. The potato salad is a dream side kick to the bbq, the brussel sprouts tho how do they make em taste so darn good! Added treat were the pickled onions, spicy pickles and pickled jalapeños. I immediately felt welcome walking in. It is a busy spot but they move the line along with an assured carefree spirit that really set that welcoming lowkey atmosphere that made this solo diner feel good. I'll be making my way back and the moment my little brother visits, I'm bringing him in for that Texas beef Rib! I found my local BBQ gem. Thanks y'all for great experience. I'll be eating good all weekend with these left overs...
I came to this establishment based off the amazing reviews and I will sing their praises as well. Walking in at an off peak hour, the server came quickly to explain how it works. I strongly recommend the 3 meats special. The smoked turkey was INCREDIBLE and the fries had a sweet and salty taste that was delicious 😋. The portions sizes were so large I couldn't finish it. Simply the best overall meal I've had this whole trip
Had some question before we ordered. The employee was willing to answer our questions with detail. My wife and I ordered 4 meat plates, which comes with 2 sides. The quality and amount were a chef kiss. Definetly worth the price. We ended up getting to-go box. We are planning on visiting again in the future.
Very nice people, I got a free cookie 🍪(price $2.49) (if I rated them with the QR code presented) as it is my first time here. Everyone seems kind, cant wait to try the food! Update: Ribs are good The brisket is delectable. The barbecue sauce and the ranch wonderfully made. The mac n' cheese is ok...honestly I've had better. Not a big fan of the coleslaw, the dressing could use some improvement. My husband LOVED the beans, so I'll take his word for it that it's delicious. Hands down one of the BEST cookies I've ever had! I got the regular chocolate chip. The wings would have been nice if it wasn't burnt to a crisp charcoal and then coated in heavy salty seasoning. So, its a nah for me on that. I'll probably try them again if they cooked it properly 🤷 maybe I just got a bad batch (even though she cooked it fresh in front of my face). Overall I'd give them a high 3 to 4 stars on the food. The brisket and the cookie was their saving grace. I'll give them a 4 stars on the food. I will definitely come here again!
Just give it a try... if your experience is anything like mine, you won't be disappointed! Really cool restaurant with a surprisingly varied menu and friendly expert staff. The brisket and beans are top notch also. (February 2026)
Oh yeah! Very welcoming and family friendly atmosphere. The food was just wonderful ... the Wagu brisket was very tasty with a nice smoke and bark; the Duroc spare ribs were competition level - falling off the bone with a nice smokey flavor. The Bluecheese Burger was a mountain and our burger snob was very impressed. The Brussel sprouts were (by report, not for me) very tasty and the apple cider slaw had a wonderful light creamy sauce. The owner came out and talked us through the menu and ordering process; and the bartender was very personable. Already planning on going back. Three 2 Meat dinners and a burger w/o alcohol about $90.
Susanna's warm personality really shines, making the overall experience delightful. I truly enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere and the delicious food. I also highly recommend trying the sweet tea!
Wanted some good ole BBQ and Lane’s was close, and what a good choice it was. Completely blown away by the food, had the prime brisket, collard greens, squash and will be getting my free cookie after this. Service was even better, shout out to James for making it an amazing first visit I will be sure not to forget. Will be coming back soon!
I have been going to Oak'd for a while now and the BBQ is wonderful! During my last visit though, I saw a familiar face. Susanna from Taste of Chicago is now working there! So as far as I'm concerned, Oak'd is even more of a win. Seriously though, the food is delicious. The owner, Lane, is magnificent. And the staff has always been top-notch, every time I have visited.
Listen this place was worth the stop going back home to Oklahoma!!! This was very very good 😌 the meat superb beyond juicy and tender . The BBQ sauce has sweet and I also had tangy on point ! The Brisket nachos are a must have !!! Surely will not be disappointed 🙌🏾 Mac n Cheese was great . Collard Green we’re missing something . The rice was good . The sewer Ice tea was lovely 😊 over all I’d give this place a 20 stars and some !
WOW!! I’m upset I didn’t try this place sooner. Every single thing I had was delicious!! The food was superb, some of the best BBQ I’ve had. I had the Waygu brisket and garlic pepper sausage and my mom had the chicken and turkey. We both loved everything. We’re even ordering a turkey for thanksgiving here now. The tangy bbq sauce was to die for and I finished the sausage before we even fully sat down. The staff in the check out and kitchen were very friendly and gave wonderful recommendations. The sweet tea was perfection. My mom said it was the best sweet tea she’s ever had!! The lemonade was great as well. I will say, the potatoes did not look the best but tasted a million times better than they looked. I have absolutely no complaints. I will be back verrrrryyyy soon!
This is our go to spot for hosting out of town guests for our corporate meetings. Food is always great. Service is excellent. Dez at the bar is friendly and always ensures we are taken care of. The meeting room works perfectly for our group. Highly recommend the brisket, pork belly burnt ends, turkey and sausage. Mac and cheese is very good as a side and the biscuits are massive.
We were driving through Dallas on our way east and stopped here for a late lunch with a friend after seeing how highly rated this place was. It did not disappoint! The brisket was fantastic, as was the smoked chicken quesadilla. The cook, James, and the lady that took our order were both really friendly. The bartender could have been a little more attentive. We will definitely go back the next time we're in town!
This place is an absolute gem in the DFW hallmark of premier BBQ cuisine. Cuts of pork, beef and chicken smoked to near perfection and seasoned with sharp influences of Southern and Tex-Mex culinary genius. The brisket and shredded pork are juicy mouthwatering staples, so take a peek at their inspired menu for various portions and arrangements all guaranteed to satisfy and then some. The wait and line team members are super helpful and friendly who also have decades of professional line prep, cooking and cleanup experience (some also featuring elite kitchen training, think Emeril Lagasse and Bobbi Flay). Adequate inside seating, but a handful of tables to accommodate maybe 5-6 fam or larger groups at once, but also features a small covered outdoor patio for enjoying meals and quality time in the sun, breeze, or moonlit nights. Be sure to check out their intimate bar with assorted drink selection and big screens for catching up with friends and colleagues. All this said, however, beware you’ll pay a slightly extra premium for great service and quality BBQ, so be ready to spend a little extra upfront 💰. For us, it’s totally worth it .This is our fam’s new fave BBQ spot and hope you make it one of yours too! OAK’D and smoked, Lane’s for sure ain’t no joke! 😉 🍖 🔥 🥩 🍷 ⭐️
My first time trying Texas BBQ, so take this with a grain of salt but I was literally having a transcendent experience at this establishment. We got the 2 meat plate (which comes with two sides) and two drinks to share between us, and it was just the right amount of food, coming to $38 after tax and tip. We got the prime brisket and smoked wings as our meats and literally it tasted so amazing. 10/10 I might even come back here again during my short trip!
My first visit was to OAK'D which was south of here and it was good. Nothing all that special but it was good. When I visited this location, it was significantly better. Like very memorable. This place is really good and I think the best in the Dallas region. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service is great. There are lots of different options and I would easily come back to this location. I actually ordered a pretty hefty meal the first time I went there, after I ate it, I went through the line again for more. My wife would probably call me pretty fat for this but it was well worth it. I will visit this place again and again. I recommend you do the same!
We got there during happy hour, and the bar was buzzing with people enjoying cheap drinks and snacks. It was a Thursday, tons of seats, and the weather was great for sitting outside. The kitchen and bartenders were super nice and helpful. I got the Texas pork sandwich—it was amazing and HUGE! I'll be eating it for days. The potato salad was delicious, and my husband's pork belly was great too. We'll totally go back next time we're around.
Absolutely delicious barbecue! The meats were perfectly smoked and full of flavor. James was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything—such a nice guy! And Justine at the bar made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. Great food, great people. We’ll definitely be back!
Stopped here on a whim, and oh my gosh, the prime brisket and porkbutt are INSANE! Melt in your mouth juicy, and don't need sauce at all, unless you want it. Love the atmosphere, and the open breezeway between the outside and inside dining areas is really classy. Expect to pay between $15 and $30 a plate, but IMO, it's worth it. Will definitely be back! Keep on rockin', y'all!
A really great BBQ spot with a nice atmosphere and great staff! I had the 2 meat platter which comes with 2 sides. Firstly I was unsure if what to have and I would like a massive shout-out to Maria who advised me on the sides and was super helpful, she was really friendly and lovely. Brisket and chicken wings were both very tasty, with sauces on the sides, the BBQ sauces were so good. The potato salad was probably the best potato salad I've ever had, and the coleslaw was good. The pickles come in sweet, dill, or spicy. The spicy are pretty spicy so beware. The menu has a great range and looks great, I might try a burger next time! The bar service was a bit slow and it wasn't super busy. All of the staff were really nice, helpful and friendly. Good selection of beers and spirits too.
We were passing through Dallas from Chicago and stopped to give them a try. Jason made a great recommendation of the wagyu beef, Rob served up some great sides and Susanna took our money at the register. Highly recommend!! Super friendly staff and delish food!!
I recently visited OAK'D BBQ and was blown away by both the food and the service. I ordered the 4 Meat Plate, which gave me a great sampling of their smoked meats, each one was flavorful, juicy, and cooked to perfection. But the star of the meal was the 1.9 lb beef rib, massive, tender, and fall off the bone good. It had a rich, smoky bark and melt in your mouth meat that made every bite memorable. For sides, I had the mac n cheese (ultra creamy and cheesy) and the BBQ beans, which were hearty, slightly sweet, and packed with flavor. To top it off, I tried both the chocolate cheesecake and the apple pie for dessert and both were excellent. The cheesecake was rich and smooth, and the apple pie had a warm, homemade feel with a flaky crust and perfectly spiced filling. On top of all that, the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. They were attentive, helpful, and made me feel right at home. If you're in Dallas and love BBQ, OAK'D BBQ is a must. Incredible food, great atmosphere, and service that makes you want to come back again.
I stopped by **Lane’s BBQ** and really enjoyed the experience. The brisket was tender and smoky, and the sides were flavorful with a nice homemade touch. The atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal. Service was friendly and fast, even during a busy time. Overall, it’s a solid BBQ spot I’d definitely visit again.
Legitimately one of my top 3 BBQ meals. Got a brisket sandwich, collards and mc and cheese. The mac and cheese was pretty much in line with other BBQ joints, but the collards were GREAT (they were cooked with brisket ends). The brisket itself was top tier - just the right amount of rendered fat with a balanced smokiness. HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a good meal.
I accidentally ordered from the wrong location, but they made the switch so quick and effortlessly! As soon as I got there, the manager Shamika greeted me and made sure my order was handled perfectly. The burnt brisket ends were AMAZING. We ordered 3 lbs of meat and still wished we had ordered more. So, so good!
Oak’d is always delicious! Portions are great and the food is consistent. Love the brisket! Tender and juicy. The ribs are tender and have a nice flavor. Creamy delicious potato salad and their veggies today squash and zucchini. My personal fav! The sliced brisket sandwich is loaded with meat! And the people that work here are always so happy and friendly! Highly recommend
This place is amazing 😭 I never received such amazing hospitality!!! And BBQ!!! I didn’t know which to talk about first!!!!! I’m in love!! And the desserts are amazing!!!! I’m literally in awe! I got the three meat platter to share with my Mom while traveling into Dallas for a conference and it did not disappoint!!!! AT ALL!!!!! 1,000% 5 STAR EXPERIENCE!!!! At INEXPENSIVE COSTS AND THE AMOUNT YOU RECEIVE FOR THE PRICE IS OUTSTANDING!!!!! JUICYYYYY MARBLED WAGYU BEEF, TENDER DELECTABLE PRIME SLICED BRISKET 🤤 MACARONI AND CHEESE AND COLLARD GREENS! God bless this place, the staff, the food and DALLAS!!! THIS IS THE BBQ SPOT!!!!!
Best smoked turkey I’ve ever had. They managed to give it great Smokey flavor while keeping it moist enough not to need sauce. Brisket was also tasty and soft enough to eat with just a fork. Cheesy mashed potatoes were yummy and not too heavy. Collard greens were good but too salty for my personal taste. Gluten free options are cable and well labeled.
If you’re looking for BBQ in Dallas you MUST go here!! I’ve tried all the “big names” multiple times and many of the specialty ones and this has the best food for sure!! And the icing on the cake the staff!! First visit and welcomed like a local from Des at the bar to James heading up the BBQ!! Amazing 🤩
I can't say enough about how incredible this place is. The atmosphere is top notch. Multiple seating area options. The crew was kind and helpful. The food is mind-blowing. Literally blown away currently. Come here, eat, you won't regret, and if you do then it's your fault and not oak'ds fault.
OMG. Food pleasing to the eye and palate. ❤️ I thought we were gonna just grab some food and go back to the hotel to eat because I was sleepy. I woke up real fast. Real chefs and line cooks in the kitchen who know their bbq, cuts of meats and can answer any questions and make recommendations based on your preferences if you don’t know what you want or undecided like my daughter and I. Kudos to the chef slicing the meats his knowledge & explanations helped us decide on getting the 3 meat plate with 2 sides (great value and hefty portions). We got the prime & wagyu brisket with burnt ends, mac&cheese and collard greens w/turkey. I couldn’t wait to take a bite so we sat and ate outside on the patio. Mouth watering tender cuts of meat, burnt ends 🤤 I forgot I was sleepy. My daughter was like idk about the Mac& cheese (we’re from the south). She kept taking bite after bite of the m&c…Lol it was almost gone (I eat slow) fortunately there was still a lot left to eat at the hotel and share with my baby girl. Excellent value. Great food. Great staff. Excellent customer service. We will be returning on our next trip to Dallas. Oh my sweet tea/lemonade was also delicious.
One of my favorite after church restaurants! Definitely worth it . My favorite is the smoked wings, potato salad and Brussels sprouts . I have tried their brisket as well . Great atmosphere and staff! Very friendly and will give you a sample if you need help deciding on what to give. Bonus 🤩🤩: I took a friend with a gluten allergy and they had info posted and was able to answer her questions.
Huge respect to the Pitmasters working the night shift! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You can truly taste the hard work and dedication in every bite. I know good BBQ requires someone tending the fire all night long, sweating over the pit, and this team absolutely nailed it. I had the 3-Meat Plate (Lean Brisket, Turkey, and Sausage). The brisket was perfectly smoked, the turkey was incredibly moist, and the Brussels Sprouts were the best side dish I’ve had in a long time. High-quality food, great portions, and worth every penny. Thank you for the effort!
Such a great place. The Manager James met me at the front door and welcomed me in. I saw him do this with other people as well so I know it was not an isolated incident. It is the way he is. 🙂 When I told him it was my first time there, he said he was going to take care of me and he did. He showed me to the menu boards and left me alone for a few minutes to decide what I wanted. When he came back he personally cut the wagyu brisket I ordered. I can tell he truly loves pleasing his guests. I was just hoping that the food was half as good as his hospitality. I was not disappointed. My plate was awesome!!! Five stars all the way around
If you're in the Dallas area, you HAVE to try this!! I have gone to several bbq places but this once surpasses them all. The portions are huge and everything we tried tasted amazing! The atmosphere and customer service are excellent! We tried the beef ribs, brisket nachos, smoked wings and the pork spare ribs.
The brisket was perfection-deep smoke ring, crispy bark, and buttery-tender. Brisket Stuffed Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño lights your soul. Seriously, top-tier, savory BBQ that me away. But the meal's secret weapon is John! His incredible personality lights up the whole place. Witty, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about the food. Come for the best smoked meats, tell John I sent ya!
I found myself driving to Addison, TX., to meet a friend for dinner. We decided to meet at Lane's Oak'D BBQ, and this was the first time for us both. When I arrived there, I saw my friend already had a table for us as it was sit your self type bbq restaurant. The atmosphere is mostly quiet some music but not too loud and we could hold a nice conversation in normal indoor speaking voice. What I noticed that it has indoor/outdoor seating area. Both sitting areas are well organized, neat in appearance and very clean it boasts a bar and plenty of sitting space. The staff at this establishment were all friendly ready and egear to help. Mr. Alexis, was the server and he handle the cutting knife like a surgeon and with percise cuts. He was very polite and very friendly and made great suggestions for plates to order. Our cashier was Ms. Penny, who was very friendly polite and very welcoming and was ready to serve. I ordered one (2) meat plate wagyu brisket, for $23.99 with potato salad, and coleslaw, for $4.00, regular house fries, for $5.50 1 each can of dr. pepper/sprite @ $2.50 each. The house fries were hot, well seasoned, not crispy but very tasty. The coleslaw was very delicious, crunchy and very tasty, the potato salad was none like I ever had before and very delicious. The wagyu brisket was so tender, juicy, but to me it lacked a little salt. But over all I was highly impressed with Oak'D BBQ, the service was awesome, the food was delicious and I was highly satisfied. If I am ever in this neck of the woods I will come again.
Amazing Texas style restaurant with super yummy brisket and all other meats that satisfies the taste buds. I love the atmosphere here. The bar is super good and have happy hour 4-7pm. Grab a glass of beer with a plate of brisket and enjoy sunset white sitting in patio. The staff are friendly😍
I’ll be vulnerable and say that this was my first ever true southern bbq spot, and my God was it the best choice possible! The staff here is incredibly hospitable and patient to new comers (even though we held up the line asking questions). We ordered the prime brisket, wagyu brisket, and pork ribs. Each was super flavorful, MEATY, and something I’ve never experienced before. Also I’d love to give out a quick shoutout to Geno, excellent service!
Well when in Dallas, you have to try this place. Food was fantastic. We are in town from Colorado and this is a must have when we come back to Texas. Service was friendly, informative atmosphere was clean and super cute and fun. We had the pork ribs, jalapeno sausage, beans, brussel sprouts and fries. Also had a bacon wrapped jalapeno and omg it was delicious. Very good size portions. Just a really fantastic pick on a whim.
WOW!!!!!!! Nothing negative to say. Bold flavor, mouth watering, charred to perfection!!!! We ordered the four meat plate between the two of us and still had left overs. I had the brussel sprouts which took me by surprise how much flavor was packed inside every bite, with wings and their waygu brisket 🤤. My fiancee had their beef ribs and sausage with Mac and cheese, I stole a bite and was lost in the moment. The outside patio brings life to a get away shore eating experience and pleasant atmosphere. Definitely 10/10 and will return.
Best barbecue I’ve had in Texas, amazing, super tasty and perfect portions. They have a combo platter which let me sample a few different meats. Definitely recommend when trying brisket or bbq like this for the first time. Staff was super lovely, and helpful. Cant think of a better place to recommend when I need good food.
We were visiting Dallas and wanted to try a different restaurant and brisket. This meat at this place is amazing!! The wagyu brisket and burnt ends were melt in your tender. The brisket burger may have been the best I’ve ever had. The cheese chive mashed potatoes were also really good. If you’re in the area this one is definitely worth a visit!

Found this bbq spot on Yelp of course after searching for dinner place that was still open. So impressed by the bbq here! I got a 3 meat plate that had their Wagyu Brisket, Duroc Pork Spare Ribs,…
We loved this place, maybe the best in Dallas! Food was amazing! Customer service was great too!!
Customer service was amazing they greeted us immediate when we walked and showed us nothing but love and walked us through the menu
I don't know how this place can only be rated a 4.0. The brisket is fantastic and the other food that they have gives you numerous options.\n\nTheir happy hour is the best!
Awesome food, service, and vibe. The wagyu brisket and Mexican baked beans were out of this world.
About as good as it gets. Brisket very good and the sausage was great. Owner and daughter were great. Perfect service and very clean.

Great texas bbq. Come in and see James and get yourself some beef ribs and sausage. The ribs have a great bark and the sausage is juicy and full of flavor. Don't forget to stop and get some sides…
(Based purely on Happy Hour) I'd like to be able to give this place 5 stars but the happy hour concept is not good. Having to sit by the bar and order at the bar is a terrible concept. I understand they are doing this probably to not have to hire servers but it's very inconvenient. Who goes to happy hour to get up every 15-30 minutes to order something else for the table. And only 4 or 5 beers are included with the food order. A little more variety is definitely needed. Also the smoked wings are VERY inconsistent. Sometimes they are dry as a bone other times they are perfect. These REALLY need some quality control. The rest of the food my party ordered was very good. And it would be nice to swap the beers out for a non-alcoholic beverage too. I think they can evolve this concept to help please a larger crowd. Or maybe they just don't want that business, we'll see.
Staff was really friendly, Mac and cheese is really good smoked jalapeño sausage was good brisket. The brisket could be a little more tender but was flavorful… baked beans I’m not really a fan of because I like mine a on the sweet side but all and all a great experience would definitely come back and tell friends and family about this place… ChefMac stamped
In DFW, bbq spots are a dime a dozen. This spot in a solid contender that definitely punches up a weight class and I can definitely agree with the high rating. Came in on a Saturday just before the rush. Layout is traditional with upscale touches. Entry funnels you into the pitlane to make selections and pay. Then seat yourself. A very nice touch is the separate full bar island so there’s many an adult beverage options. Need to clear your own dishes and there’s a designated utensil station by the fountain machine. The food is definitely good and they uniquely offer solid Texican options. The steak fries were gigantic and I hadn’t ever seen a place do that. Certain menu items get prepared in the back so everything is nice, hot and fresh. They serve 2 styles of bbq sauce but no spicy option which I found interesting. I think many would like that! Recommended.
Looking for good BBQ in Dallas and came across this highly rated spot. Thought I’d give it a try since the original place I wanted to go to down the street was closed. I was slightly disappointed in my meal overall but there were some bright spots. Ordered the beef bbq, burnt ends, smoky wings, brisket and turkey. For sides had the cheesy mash potatoes and potatoe salad. The beef bbq wasn’t as tender as I would’ve hoped because it was tough even for the plastic fork to pick up. It was flavorful and the Carolina style bbq sauce complemented it well. The smoky wings were good and had a unique flavor I hadn’t had before. Definitely very smoky and paired well with ranch. The turkey was surprisingly very flavorful and easily the winner out of everything I ordered. The brisket was tender but wasn’t as flavorful but sauces helped fixed that. The sides were standard and decent. Nothing extraordinary.
9/10 No wait and the smell was intoxicating even before we walked in the restaurant. We got the 4 meat plate with Wagyu Brisket, Smoked Wings, Pork Butt, and Pork Ribs. For sides we got BBQ beans (flavorful and smoky) and the apple cider coleslaw (which was light and crisp) Some of the best brisket and wings I've ever had and easily the best bread pudding. In my opinion OAK'D is one of the best BBQ places in DFW.
We stopped by for the first time today and the place was empty, but the food was hot and the service was great. We ordered the prime brisket, wagyu brisket, turkey, ribs, and sausage — and the briskets were definitely the star of the show. For sides, we tried the BBQ beans and the 3-cheese mac and cheese. The beans weren’t great, so I’d skip those next time and go with the fries instead — they were cut fresh and cooked to order. Overall, not a bad spot!
The brisket was moist and easy to cut and chew. It just didn't have much of flavor. The sausage was dry as if it was cooked the previous day and left under a heat lamp. The Mac and cheese was pretty good and the potato salad was also acceptable. The servings are large and I was so full that I skipped breakfast the following day. The bar tender was cool as ice cream. It was an overall good experience.
My boys and I were pleasantly surprised when we walked in. It’s almost like a barbecue version of chipotle. We had so much fun building our own trays and it was really cool to see them Prepare it right in front of us. The staff was so kind, and the portions were definitely filling.Perfect place to grab and go or sit down and enjoy.
Prime brisket was pretty solid. 3 cheese Mac and cheese was also good. Beans we didn't care for. Turkey was also very good. Service was super friendly. Some good dessert options as well. Also they had some really good wings. Different style than what you usually see. Definitely worth trying. The jalapeño cheese sausage was outstanding. Bartender went missing for long stretches making rounds of beer difficult to come by.
We were visiting from Charlotte, NC, so it was our first time at this restaurant. The service and atmosphere were great. Folks were super friendly and the place was clean. The food was tasty overall. We enjoyed the Carolina and Texas sauces on our meats. Both were delicious. We ordered the ribs, brisket, and wings with mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and seasoned fries. We ended our meal with the apple pie and banana bread. They weigh the meats, so the price was a bit high for what we ordered.
We came for the happy hour and had a great time! Our bartender was super kind and transparent when the food took awhile but she was adamant about making sure we got out food warm and as soon as possible. We got the pork spring roll and pork tacos. Their happy hour is great - you can get a domestic beer + food for only $12 daily from 4-7pm! Not many happy hours go until 7, we will definitely be back.
10/25/25: This was our first visit. We looked for BBQ restaurants near our hotel and came across this one. The restaurant was pretty big, plenty of seating areas and very clean. We sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly, and he was pretty busy. The bar was pretty well stocked. There were plenty of TV's throughout. They have a daily Happy Hour from 4-7pm. My wife had a blackberry mule and I had a draft beer. Her drink was pretty good and my beer was ice cold. Our order didn't take very long to arrive, and the food was pretty good. After you eat, you can drop off your tray at the trash station. The bathrooms were ok. There was plenty of parking outside.
Good food overall, but clearer communication would have made this a much better experience. We ordered smoked wings, brisket tostadas, corn dogs, and alcoholic beverages at the bar, then went through the food line for Brussels sprouts and whiskey pie. The food was solid and enjoyable across the board. That said, service at the bar fell short. We let staff know we were first-timers there for happy hour and were told to order at the bar, but we weren’t given menus. My husband eventually found a happy hour menu at the bar himself and placed the order. Our water cups sat empty for quite a while, even after a staff member stopped by our table, and they weren’t refilled until we specifically asked. As I write this, I realize the drinks may have been self-serve, but this was never communicated to our party, so we had no way of knowing. Mixed drinks from the bar (a margarita, ranch water, and another tequila-based drink) were not good. On a positive note, the staff was highly knowledgeable about allergies, and the gluten-free and celiac-safe options were clearly handled with care, which was appreciated.

Showed up at 11am on a Saturday, exited to get fresh beef ribs off the smoker before they sold out. Unfortunately, they sold out before they opened so didn't get what I came here for. Disappointing, but it happens. No big deal. They advertise prime brisket as well as Waygu brisket, so my wife and I decided try one of each to compare. She ordered the prime and I ordered the Waygu, but we were both cut brisket from the same piece of meat. I assume it was a leftover small chunk from the day before because it was wrapped up in the warmer and we were the first one customers in the door. I asked the guy serving what we got and got a strange explanation so we still don't know. He didn't seem interested in accommodating us or fixing it when I explained that we wanted to compare the two. If you are out of one, just be honest instead of giving us a line of BS. I've been an executive chef and pitmaster for 36 years, so I can tell. The smoke flavor was good but it was a tad dry and the bark wasn't as good as it was hyped on the website, needed salt and pepper at least. Sides were really good and not an afterthought like most bbq places. I would like to go back and try the sandwiches, which were really creative, but wanted to establish a baseline on basics first. I have a feeling this place is better than what we experienced and probably just caught them on a bad day. Hopefully they won't be out of beef ribs when we try again. Will definitely be back to give it another shot.
Wish I could give half star ratings. The food is good. Meats are relatively tender and juicy even if they may look dry. Husband got a 3 meat plate with 2 sides. I got a burger with 2 sides. The meats by themselves and sausages are really nicely seasoned. The oaks burger i got was super salty. The toppings helped minimize it but it was super salty. The food here is good not amazing but really good and its really expensive. More so than I've had at other restaurants. 1 can of coca cola was $3! Like that's crazy, if it was a straight fountain drink with refills sure but 1 can.....😬 The portions are fairly big so with the entrees and actual food I get it but cmon. The workers are very much trying to get people in and out but are kind about it. So on service they were great. 5 stars. The menu had alot of discrepancies too. There's a menu on the outside of the kitchen and one inside. One had items no longer in stock and the other one did. There were several items that we wanted to order that were on one menu but not the other. One had them marked off but the other didnt. Also for a BBQ restaurant you'd think bbq sauce would be everywhere. They only have it in the kitchen when you order but all of the tables have ketchup, mustard, mayo, challah, and tobasco.... This was our first time being here but I can't say I'd be back anytime soon. Even if the food was well portioned I dont feel like it was worth almost $70.
I just wasn’t impressed. Granted, I went in the late evening, but still. I ordered the Wagyu brisket, turkey, and a Wagyu sausage link. The sausage was the standout; the brisket was decent, but the Wagyu upcharge didn’t seem worth it. I’d stick to the regular brisket next time.Turkey flavor was good, but dry. I chose the collard greens based on other reviews, but they tasted like they’d been sitting in the warming bin too long—overdone and lacking flavor. The Brussels sprouts, however, were very good. When I walked in, there were no greetings or guidance while I stood there trying to figure out where to go. Even though it wasn’t busy and employees clearly saw me, no one said anything until I eventually noticed a sign on my own. At my table, there were notes instructing customers where to take trash, trays, and silverware. The notes came across a bit abrasive—most people will clean up after themselves if it’s obvious that’s the setup. And when employees are huddled up in the serving area chatting, it seems like someone could just take care of a messy table if needed instead of relying on signs. Honestly, the sign made me want to just leave my mess, but I’m not that kind of person. Overall, I wasn’t impressed and don’t see myself returning.
I really hate to score any bbq place this low and I pray they were having an off day. I had burnt end(burnt ends only come from brisket, stop calling pork belly "burnt ends") Turkey and a Texas Twinkie. The Turkey was good. Lil dry but good. The burnt ends were of course meat cubes and not actual "burnt ends" hard to find places that serve the original burnt ends.. the Texas Twinkie. Hahah. Promised to be better than Hutchins. Hahhaha. INEDIBLE. HAHHAA. SERIOUSLY. one side had bacon completely raw and the other was completely crusted with smoke. BACON. My favorite meat in the entire world was INEDIBLE. Now lets talk about the smoke on everything. HORRIBLE. Absolutely HORRIBLE smoke. Ive tasted better smoke off a 55 gallon drum in a homeless encampment. Normally I can identify when a smoke is a little off and tell you why. This crap. What the hell was this? Ive eaten at over 200 bbq places all over the country. Ive NEVER tasted a smoke this bad. Better than Hutchins? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I would eat the crust build up off the inside of a Hutchins smoker before I ate at this place again. No free banana pudding? No free cobbler? I have to order my pickles from the guys slicing the meat? How in the hell does this place have a 4.8 rating. Good lord. Officially my pick for worst in Dallas area SO-FAR. Just look at that horrible color on that Twinkie. Looking like a New York Twinkie.
I'm sad to say I had the contrary experience than most. As my first time being there I was excited. I even looked at the menu before ordering to be prepared and hep move the line quickly. The meat ma…

The food is great. The people are nice and you get great service. The atmosphere is good. Bathrooms are clean. It's a self serve type of place where you walk through the line and get your own drink…
I was so exited to try this place for months. After trying it i don’t think I’ll be coming back again I’ve got the waygu brisket it was cold and hard and all the sides were cold. The only thing I liked was the smoked wings they definitely good. Over all I think this place is really over hyped thank you
We really wanted to like this place because of all the ratings, however, our experience here says otherwise. Other reviews were right, it was a bit confusing entering and figuring whether you are waiting for a host to be seated or walk right in. It's cafeteria style. We ordered the 4 meat plate and 2 sides. Initially, it looked great, but that was it. The quality of the BBQ were really subpar for our expectations. Especially from what we've had in San Antonio and Houston. The brisket were dry and burnt (how do you make waygu brisket dry?), the pork ribs were a bit dry and not flavorful, the mac and cheese were runny, and the sausages were falling apart soft (what and why?!?). We didn't finish the food. Honestly, I've had worse bbq before, this gets a 2*.

Failed delivery experience. Tried calling restaurant to resolve, nobody answers the phone. Nobody cares. Will not be spending any more money on a place that can't resolve basic issues.

This restaurant has shafted me twice. I will never patronize this establishment again. After the second time, with an Uber delivery, they failed to deliver half of my order. I was so angry I got in my car and drove there, and Jr Mgr admitted it. I asked why, and they said take it up with Uber Eats. Uber Eats does not provide voice contact anymore, and the App refunded me $3.00 on a $58 dollar order (when half the order missing). My advice...stay away from this place (and Uber Eats if you can).
I ordered a 2 meat plate from here and it was disgusting. The mac and cheese was grainy and mush. The beans were good. The burnt ends were mostly fat and I got one rib which was dry and tough. I called and he offered a fresh meal for the next time. But absolutely not. They sent dry mush out for delivery and think I want to come back. The food went right where it belonged the trash.
I read all of the great reviews so I took my lady there on a Tuesday afternoon. I ordered brisket and pulled pork and she ordered brisket. After we started, I became aware that the brisket and the pork were very tough and chewy. I didn’t want to ruin her day so I didn’t say anything, but then she noted to me that her brisket was very tough. We both agreed that the brisket and the pork were actually Not edible. We flagged down an employee and told him about it. He immediately went and told the man who was cutting and serving the meat. We expected some kind of response and possibly a refund or a comp but nothing happened. We left with most of our meal completely untouched except for having made a good try to eat the meat. I’m sure their food is good because they have so many good reviews, but we have been eating barbecue in Texas for a long long time and this was a major disappointment. The Meal and the response to our complaint were pitiful and unacceptable. Cannot recommend this restaurant on any level
I honestly do not know how this place gets 5 star reviews. When it was our turn to order, after seeing what was going on behind the counter, my family was thinking about leaving - I wish we had. I ordered a 2 meat plate and a 3 meat plate - one with Ribs and Brisket, the other with Ribs, Brisket, and Sausage. The Brisket and Ribs were so dry from either sitting on the cutting board or sitting in the warmers behind the counter. The sausage tasted strange and was not fresh. It tasted like it was days-old...my wife asked if we were going to get sick from eating it. We ordered mac&cheese as a side and the guy behind the counter said it was cold and they didn't know how to heat it - so basically order something else - because he didn't care. There wasn't a single person walking around the restaurant asking if everything was right. We left $60 worth of pot-roast tasting brisket, leather-tough ribs, and weird tasting sausage on the table. I think the only way this place stays open is the Happy Hour from 4-7 that has cheap drinks and wings. Will not be back.
