Alex and Julian made my first car dealership purchase a life milestone to remember!!! Without reading my story below, the long and short of it is that Diamond Auto Sales is the premier place to feel taken care of in the car-buying process. Start here before checking out any other spot, trust me, it’s worth it. They don’t say ‘no’ to your reasonable request; they always look for a way to say, ‘YES.’ My 2003 Subaru Forester crapped out on me at over 266k miles on the engine, and I ended up sadly selling it to Pick-N-Pull for peanuts. I was upset, disappointed, and regretted my decision. My sister suggested checking out Diamond Auto Sales in Alameda. I asked why, and she said it was due to the top-rated customer service she heard from families in the Alameda area raving about their experiences. Once in Alameda, we found ample street parking near Diamond Auto Sales and walked onto the lot. Alex, the owner, was the first one to greet us. He politely engaged us in conversation to find out what we were looking for and then proceeded to tour us around his inventory. He had a 2010 Subaru Forester on my ‘avoid’ list of years from my research, and a grip of other interesting cars. After a moment, my friend helping me on my car-buying adventure pointed out the 2014 Audi Q5 TDi with around 117k miles. They remembered my list of dream cars and were like, “Why not test drive it?” So I said, “Well, twist my arm!” The car felt brand new, looked new, and was such a pleasure to be behind the wheel. A Ford Explorer had just entered the lot, and we looked at it also since I needed trunk space and AWD for work. It had cool bells and whistles, but was overshadowed by my Audi experience. It wasn’t dismissed, only second place. I was nervous about exploring financing options as I am rebuilding my credit. Though I had no negative marks around repos or default car payments, I had yet to be approved for auto financing in this life. I told Alex it was my birthday the following week, and he knocked $1,000 off the ticket price for whatever car I chose! He asked if I was buying outright or financing, then how much I would put down. I told him $5,000 was my number. After sending his team some financial documents, he suggested an alternate system to find approval for a microloan. While he was working on that, I had to return to my job, so we texted to iron out the financing details. Within three hours, Alex had approved me for the Ford Explorer AND the Audi!!! I was excited, nervous, and ready to clock out! My last client had canceled, so we raced back to the dealership, and Alex informed me that the $5,000 I was willing to put down would let me roll off the lot in the Explorer, but they needed $7,000 for the Audi. Secretly, I told my friend before the approval that I would be willing to drop up to $7k on my next vehicle, so their request was still in budget!! To ensure our due diligence, I test-drove the Ford Explorer, and my friend laughed the whole time because they could tell that I wasn’t feeling it and that it wasn’t the right fit. We returned the Explorer and told the team we’re proceeding with the Audi. Alex passed us along to Julian to finish the transaction. Between Alex and Julian, they included registration, taxes, fees, etc., all in the $7k cost out the door. I’m now a proud owner of a 2014 Audi Q5 TDi and find every excuse to drive it!! I have a trip up north planned for my birthday and now, I’ll be embarking in STYLE. THANK YOU, DIAMOND AUTO SALES! I’ve already recommended your place to a dozen friends who are also in the used car market. When the time comes to upgrade, this is fasho my first stop. NOTE: While we were on the lot, several previous car buyers returned with various requests, and every one had a smile, warm greeting, and enthusiasm for working with Alex and his team. The onsite mechanic works fast, diligently, and effectively. We were impressed (if you can’t tell from this scroll of a review) and want the world to know what good work is happening in Alameda at Diamond Auto Sales.

The lack of communication and professionalism was disappointing and made me feel like my business wasn’t valued. Ultimately, I chose a different dealer where I got into a 2024 with $3K down and experienced outstanding customer service and communication.
