I had an absolutely outstanding car rental experience with Alamo, and it truly stood out because of the people who made it special. After a delayed flight and a long, exhausting trip, you don’t always realize that you’re a bit worn down—and sometimes even a little bitter—where even the smallest inconvenience can make things feel worse. From the moment I was greeted by Kim at the front desk, her positive attitude, professionalism, and genuine warmth immediately changed that feeling. She made the process smooth, welcoming, and stress-free, and honestly lifted my mood without even trying. The experience continued seamlessly through drop-off with Lia, who was just as kind, efficient, and professional. Everything was handled with care, clarity, and a smile. This is what you call true professional and wonderful customer service. Kim and Lia didn’t just do their jobs—they made me feel better after a long day of travel. That positive attitude turned a routine car rental into an exciting and memorable experience, and it made a real difference.

Great experience renting a car. I arrived on a late morning flight and waited in line at the counter less than 10 minutes to receive my keys. The car lot is about 25 yards away from the arrivals area and baggage claim. The mid-size vehicle I was originally assigned was very clean, but smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and made me feel ill. When I asked the lot manager if any other vehicles were available, I was offered a RAV 4 hybrid, which was very clean, did not smell like smoke, and ran beautifully over the 400 miles I drove. I think it had only about 20,000 miles on it. The lot manager and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Return process was swift and easy - just follow the signs to rental car return once at the airport.

Big thanks to Margaret and Kelly! They did an amazing job getting me my car. Had a little hiccup with the system but they fixed it wonderfully. Big recommendations for them two.

Best experience. When I arrived on Thursday August 28th I was taken care of by a Kim and another nice attendant didn't get her name, but both provided excellent customer service. The moment I arrived at the counter, I was greeted with two big smiles, and they were very easy to talk too and not to mention the check-in process was so seamless and smooth. I never had a encounter this easy and simple with rental services in my life. I am happy I discovered the Alamo side of things as I had reservation with Enterprise at first and things did not go well speaking with their representatives so I changed things up a little bit and went with their sister company and I am glad I did. To me this service is not the same being offered at other locations even enterprise locations in Huntsville, Al. Believe me when I say you wont be disappointed to the drop-off was easy and smooth and did not take but a couple of mins to inspect and check the car back in after arriving for drop-off. So All I want to say is THANK YOU ALAMO and the individuals whom worked this past Thursday the 28th and drop-off Sunday August 31st.

Every aspect of me recent transaction with Alamo was great. I picked up my auto at the Huntsville Alabama airport and dropped it off there as well. The car was virtually brand new, clean, accessible and the tank was filled. It was the car that I requested. The staff were friendly and competent. Very efficient. The whole experience was positive.

I travel a lot and have rented from multiple different companies. I have always been satisfied with Alamo. Renting from the Huntsville International Airport was by far the best experience I’ve had to date. I wish I would have gotten their names, but the from the front counter, to return, their people were the friendliest and had me on my way quickly. Alamo always has a great fleet of fuel efficient vehicles to choose from, always clean, have never had an issue. Huntsville International Airport is also insanely easy to leave and return with a rental. Thank you for another great experience

Just make sure to ask what exactly to do if you find that the car assigned doesn’t have a full gas tank. The car I got was about 3/4 filled and I didn’t have time to go back into the terminal to find out what to do. This is why I’m deducting a star. Other than that, everything else was fine.

We had a horrible experience. I don’t usually ever leave reviews, but this was egregious. We were provided a car with a “tag applied for” in place of a license plate (photo attached). Before leaving we stopped to ensure that this was legal, and staff promised it wouldn’t be an issue. Then 4 hours into our drive, in Atlanta, we were pulled over by the cops. They checked our registration and said it was not valid yet. Luckily, they identified the vehicle via VIN, and let us off with a warning. But emphasized that there was a HIGH likely-hood that we would be pulled over again, and the “state troopers wouldn’t be so understanding.” We called customer service to try and get a legitimate registration while driving another 4 hours, but they were unresponsive and we still have not hear back. Because of this we were 2 hours late to a wedding and have a warning in our record for Atlanta with the police. This is the worse rental car experience I have ever had and I will never use this company again.

Terrible. Pre-paid for a rental months in advance. They tried to give us a tiny car we did not pay for. Informed person working we expected the intermediate size SUV we paid for as we need the vehicle to house a wheel chair. They scoffed at us. They offered a tiny car or a mini-van and then boldly said there would be no pricing adjustments. Kept us waiting for hours. Finally gave us a broken vehicle. We told them and then had to wait forever again for a working intermediate sized SUV. The people working here were rude and very short tempered. Do not rent here. Go anywhere else. Uber does offer car rentals in Huntsville. Several automotive dealerships do as well. Since the 'owner' responded I would like to add that at no time, were we rude, angry, yelling, etc. Your team member was rude, aggressive, and mean. I am fairly certain the 'owner' who responded here is in fact the person who was rude to us as I remember your badge. Take my warning folks. Go anywhere else. Leave the airport, get an Uber, rent a car via Uber, find a dealership that will rent you a car. Anything else. There is another Enterprise rental away from the airport that will pick you up and Thrifty has a location nearby as well. Even Taxi service in Huntsville isn't as horrible as dealing with these people. Ugh.
