If you’ve never been to blue bottle coffee, you don’t know what your missing. Truly a genuine experience it’s not like Starbucks at all. Prices are well worth it, I first stumble upon blue bottle at their Williamsburg location.
I did not like their coffee but the lady there was extremely pleasant. She was helpful and smiled a lot. I have to give 5 stars for that. Thank you.
I loooooove this place!! Amazing team, outstanding customer service and the BEST coffee in town! Michelle, Molly and Lexy are wonderful!! Don’t forget to stop by if you are around!!
Good coffee, and very friendly and well knowledgeable baristas. Also a small but good selection of baked treats and they sell coffee beans you can take home and make yourself.
this place is amazing. been a while since i didn't have one. now happen to find a Blue Bottle open near by me and it didn't let me down. Coffe is amazing and not to mention thw Cassara Fizz
As of date, some of the best service and coffee that I have ever had and I have been to tons of artisan coffee shops. If you are in San Francisco by Fisherman's Warf, find this place and get you a drip coffee.
Really great coffee! No fancy drinks here, just coffee and espresso based drinks made with quality. Treats are good too.
The coffee here is very good albeit a bit more expensive than most local coffee shops however it doesn't deter from the extremely friendly staff.
great neighborhood coffee shop. staff are friendly, and happy to make special orders in your own travel mug
small, neighborhood spot with the best cold brew, hands down. there's limited seating at the window bu they have benches outside.
Such good milk steaming at this place. Also, the gibraltars are on point. Whoever trained this location deserves a firm handshake.
Great coffee, very friendly staff. My go-to coffee place every morning.
Really strong cold brew, friendly staff, good for people watching if you sit in the benches outside but the place gets packed on a weekend, late morning.
The cold brew is 💯! They also sell it in jars to take home. That's it. That's the review. The cold brew is amazing 😁
Bluebottle continues to be one of my favorite places to grab a cup of coffee. Consistently good, and the macchiato is perfect.
Best coffee I know of. I usually get a macchiato. Yeah, the place is tiny, but the baristas keep the line moving pretty well. I love sitting outside on the benches in all but the coldest weather. Also some pretty solid tasty treats.
Some of the best coffee you can get anywhere. The new Orleans cold brew is amazing. I love the little outdoor space for seating, very nice touch.
I found this place on Google Maps while I was staying a few blocks away. I ordered a pour over of their African coffee and one of their ginger cookies. The coffee was fantastic and the cookie was delicious as well. If I find myself in the area I would certainly come back.
God I miss this place, miss the team of wonderful people who make a killer americano or cortado or whatever my whim that day. They’ve never sniffed at my scruffy bike-commuter garb, have laughed when I’ve shown up in a suit other days, and always have that coffee perfectly made lickety split. We’ve been living abroad all year, and one of the only bright spots about coming back to brooklyn is stopping in here regularly again.
Wonderful addition to the local neighborhood. A hole in the wall with 3-4 seats max for a quick coffee time. It's a lovely place to sit outside and sip ice coffee in the summer time.
Awesome coffee, amazing baristas, excellent atmosphere. The coffee and food is priced very well and made with great quality. I can't emphasize enough how great this place is.
10 out of 10 - coffee! Loved it, really tiny and hard to find. Look for the blue bottle! Pastries and sandwiches are good! Only around 4 seats available. Will Return!
Excellent coffee and nice baristas. The downside: they only serve one single origin coffee and one blend at a time; I wish they had more varied options.
Not a commercial cafe , if u r looking for something like starbucks with fancy drink and wifi, this is not a place , but if u r a coffee lover , put it in ur list , very significant coffee , flat white is great too ! Only few bench outside the shop , but it's comfortable sitting enjoying the moment seeing the neighborhood .
OMG! Blue bottle coffee is soooooo good 😊😊 my favorite coffee is Bella Donovan (which however is seasonal). Their cappuccino goes so well with their bite-sized blondies.
One of my favorite coffee shops because of the flavor of their espresso. Their cold brew cans are also quite fantastic and their service is pretty 👍
Yes it is a bit pricey like most places around here, But they do make it worth. When everybody's stupid Hayden I stress a hammock sugar 8n a jar And metallic spoons.
If you’ve never been to blue bottle coffee, you don’t know what your missing. Truly a genuine experience it’s not like Starbucks at all. Prices are well worth it, I first stumble upon blue bottle at their Williamsburg location. Staff is extremely friendly, I wish this was around when I was working in Brooklyn.
This is a good Blue Bottle location! I find most of their cafes to be a bit overly corporate and stuffy, but this one is small and cute and inviting. The only seating inside is along with window, just like four stools, but it’s a pretty good spot for dog watching, if you’re able to get a seat. They also have a few benches outside. The baristas are great, this is one of the few coffee shops in the city where they steam cortados to the correct temperature.
Seriously great coffee - Definitely one of the best coffee shops in the neighborhood. I love their New Orlean's style iced coffee! There's very little seating space, so it's really a grab and go joint (although there's some nice benches outside weather permitting).
Blue Bottle is delicious. Whether you get a hot or iced beverage, everything is spot on. The baristas are absolutely delightful and tremendous at their jobs. Sunday mornings are busier and they still get quality drinks out at a quick pace. Croissants are also very good.
This small but mighty blue bottle has some of the finest foam makers of all. Plus I enjoy the outside seating. I'd skip on the pastries given they are from across the street at Bien Cuit and can be had much fresher there.
Small branch with outside area in a quiet street. I go miles for their cappuccino and I always buy their house blend espresso that is above anything. What I also appreciate about this chain is their reliable consistant quality of the coffee products.
Great find through google maps. Bella Donovan is a must try for all black coffee lovers. It's INTENSE! Tucked away in a little corner this place is simple and minimalistic. And special mention to the super cool playlist of the staff. Must visit. It's surprisingly popular! Although it doesn't have enough space for you to sit and work (just a ledge table with 4 chairs) still you'll like it for its vibe!
Best coffee location in the Cobble Hill/Boerum Hill/Downtown Brooklyn area hands down! The entire staff is welcoming, chatty and truly amazing. It's main attraction outside of product (quaintness) is also its downfall as there isn't much space to hang out and enjoy your cup during bad weather days.
The coffee is awesome if you need a real pick-me-up. The service is generally always great and just about everything else they sell is pretty tasty too! Only downside is there's little space to sit.
You know you got good coffee when Keri Russell is popping up frequently. I mean she could have terrible taste so that's not a good gauge but I've had the coffee and it's absolutely incredible and I'm happy that I have this coffee three blocks away from me and can meet Keri Russell who is an absolute sweet human being.
I love this place. Amazing barista. ✨
Great coffee, great service. Wanted a coffee recommendation and the barista gave us options and suggestions and was a wonderful overall experience
One of the best coffees spots in Brooklyn. Great selection of beans including single origin. Pour overs available too. I had the cold brew which was very good!
It's been a minute since I went to any blue bottle. Their pour overs are still excellent! It feels like a few years ago, pour overs were becoming widespread, but that trend seems to have died. I think the labor market has made it harder for coffee shops to justify the time and training required to keep pour overs on the menu. Long live blue bottle!
Cozy atmosphere with fantastic coffee and even better service. I ordered the Café Mocha and loved it. It’s all one size (small) which is just fine, given that it’s very tasty. Covid-relevant: you can order ahead and pick up from their”pick-up window.” In the winter they keep the window closed until your order is ready, they’ll pop it open and call out your name. Very fun!
Great staff. Friendly. Well upheld Blue Bottle Coffee standards. One of the few high quality coffee shops in the area.
Great coffee! Often busy and it's a small space that gets crowded quickly. Not ideal to stay and enjoy a cup.
Good. Slow. Busy. High attention to detail, but sometimes they bumble orders. Starbucks is little league compared to Blue Bottle.
Great espresso and friendly staff. Very tiny - not a place to linger. Enjoy a quick espresso and you go on your way.
This Blue Bottle location is designed for a quick visit. Perfect for customers focused on coffee and not wifi.
Great find! Bella Donovan is a must try for all black coffee lovers. It's INTENSE! Tucked away in a little corner this place is simple and minimalistic. Super cool staff.
Generally a nice coffee shop, if sometimes a little pretentious. Coffee is good but loses a star for the price. Beans could be better quality and more interesting roast profile for that price.
Boyfriend enjoyed his coffee after waiting in line for it. Not sure if he thought it was worth waiting in line again for. There is a nice scene of people enjoying their coffees outside. Good people watching.
Trendy little coffee shop with great slow pour hot coffee. Got the to go 4 pack of cold brew coffee 8 oz cans which were surprising tasty. Gets a little crowded as you might expect in a popular place like this.
Boerum Hill has no shortage of coffee shops. Blue Bottle popped up seemingly out of nowhere in an old office storefront on Dean Street. I finally got around to trying it today and was not disappointed. It's standing room only. You can drink your coffee that way if you choose. I opted to enjoy my Americano at the laundromat. It's priced similarly to Starbucks (though, with less variety), or Bien Cuit (minus the burnt bread smell). I don't see this as being the kind of coffee shop where I'd log on and work, but for a good, high quality cup of coffee it's a solid option.
Friendly staff, cute location, good coffee. Little pricey. It's really a pick up and go location as there is not much in terms of seating.
Quaint little (I DO mean little) neighborhood coffee shop with a nice vibe and very good coffee. Lines tend to be long but the baristas are sharp and efficient. Not much seating, so it's nice to visit when the weather's nice, take your coffee and/or pastry out on the sidewalk, and schmooze with your friends.
Good coffee... I took home a bag of beans of one of their blends and enjoyed deep, rich coffee for weeks. I actually need to travel back for more soon. Definitely high-octane coffee and will carry you through the day better than the watery DD coffee.
Good coffee but busy spot. Not a place to sit and sip unless you're lucky with getting one of the few seats. There may be a bit of a wait for your beverage. Friendly service.
Pricey, but ecent iced coffee. The pound cakes were actually fresh and moist! Will not make it a point of visiting as often as I would like given the high cost, but I will spend a good word and stop by when I can. Take care and thank you.
Too small. Gets crowded easily. Coffee is good and the baristas are really friendly. They need to open up a bigger location close by.
Okay the atmosphere of this place is so nice and cute but I got a matcha and it was really bad and flavorless 😒😒 sorry guys but they gotta take an L for that matcha
I usually just go to coffee places and ask what their sweetest drink is and I got kind of a non-answer here and my drink did not land up being very sweet.
I paid over $11 for a cappuccino and a pain aux chocolate. The PaC was stale and bland. Squishy rather than flakey. The cappuccino was average. People are friendly. They get an extra star for that.
Having outdoor seating is great but there needs to be a way to separate smoking from non-smoking. Otherwise, situations come today like I was sitting outside ans all of sudden needed to move because of the smoke.
It's a solid cup of coffee - but as far as premium coffee goes, Blue Bottle is fairly average. The staff here is friendly and helpful, and the location is great (right off of Smith Street). I'm not sure if this is true of all Blue Bottle Coffee spots, but it's a in-and-out kind of place - not a coffee shop where you can sit and do work.
Nice little shop in a cute, trendy area. Good to sit outside in the spring and people watch. I wasn't thrilled with the latte I ordered. It was ok, although it tasted too watered down which did not compensate for the price. Still a nice little place to stop by, grab a drip coffee and a pastry if you're in the area.
my wife loves the coffee. i don't really care for it, and i have tried many roasts from there. kings road is the best on the planet, but objectively, tastes are very personal, so i reserve that opinion to myself. the problem with blue bottle is that you cannot call the individual locations to ask to reserve a particular roast, or to buy over the phone for pickup. the 510 number goes to an answering machine in oakland or wherever, with a promise to call back in 24 hours? bad business model, but not unusual in a world where everyone is "connected..."
First and foremost, the 3 star does not reflect on the quality of coffee and the incredible service you get from these amazing baristas at this location. We have been coming here everyday since it opened years ago, and the people who work here are the reasons we come here every morning. They truly are the most amiable group of people, who makes this location so special. Three stars is for this new breakfast thing the corp launched recently, which I think is the most terrible idea. We tried their egg bites yesterday and it was just bad. We do not mind paying for stuff even if it’s a little expensive if it’s good but it was salty, no flavor, rubbery and just not eggs at all. Had high hopes for these items since it’s blue bottle but we couldn’t simply take another bite. We actually love the pastries & other baked goods they offer such as waffles they sell and especially love the fact that they source croissants from the local bakery, bien cuit, here in bklyn. I am just terribly disappointed in the new breakfast items they launched right now. I cautiously hope that blue bottle is not going down on that typical route of “small and amazing company with great quality becoming subpar after being bought out by a major corp because they are solely focused on fast growth and profits.”
My neighborhood Blue Bottle. Hey, what can I say? It’s a Blue Bottle. Good, albeit overpriced, coffee. Small. Limited indoor seating. No restrooms. I enjoy sitting outside at one of the tables on a nice day. Knocking a few stars off because there is a barista (ginger guy) at this location who is quite rude and really should not be working in a customer-facing job.
Good coffee but yuppy hell... i always feel like i'm in SF when i go there and that isn't good. it's time to move to where the people engage with one another and are so lame. I still love ny but damn.
Lol, cappuccinos cost $4.63 here— more expensive than any decent cafe in the city (try Stumptown). Also quite inconsistent: this afternoon, the espresso was burnt, and the milk scalding hot. The flavor was literally burned out of both ingredients. They've forgotten themselves...
Blue Bottle is in a good location. This coffee shop is in a quiet area that is great in the sunshine. However you are paying for the name, the coffee is average and very overpriced.
Coffee is good. But the service has grossly declined over the years. I was just annoyingly asked to come collect my espresso and given my Capp about 5 min later without a saucer. Handed over the counter when I asked about it. Absolut is a 2 blocks north and way better quality and service. That’s for $10 coffees and $2 tip.
Unfortunately the blue bottle experience has gone downhill. Not only have prices gotten to exorbitant amounts ($7 cold brew) the service is simply not that friendly anymore and The coffee itself no longer has that craft taste and instead tastes more close to a Starbucks cup of coffee, slightly burnt and dark roast.
I used to love Blue Bottle but I started switching between other roasters years ago after their quality went downhill. I would still get a bag of beans or come to this shop every once in a while but they have been expanding quickly and the quality of their product has suffered. The fact that they are now owned by Nestlé is the final nail in the coffin for me.
Coffee is good especially the Nola stuff. $7+ for an ice coffee is grand larceny. Many other choice a block away that will save you money without sacrificing taste.
Coffee is great but workers suck. They’re so insult and arrogant. Who do they think they are . lol
Super rude barista! Overpriced food and coffee. I would find a better option
Customer service is great but the coffee is overpriced and nasty. I got iced latte and matcha and it just tasted like I was drinking milk.
Overrated private equity ya what ever... Save your $13 bucks for a pound of coffee.
according to google map the store opens at 6:30 AM. walked into this store for the first time to try their cold brew at 6:35 AM and was turned out by the barista saying they start at 7AM. You just lost a potential customer who was looking to switch the daily coffee routine. morning of 9/25/2017 :(
They just really don’t know what they are doing. Too them 18 mins to get me a single espresso and it was badly pulled. The people here should not be called baristas.
