We did a welcome dinner for our 40+ out of town guests at Il Cortile. Manuel, the manager and Angelo, the maitre de, went out of their way, to make sure that each and every one of our guests was well looked after, the wine was great and the food - this is where they truly excelled!! From the family style appetizers, to the individualized pastas and main courses to the variety of desserts - top notch quality and way too much of it!! Thank you Il Cortile. Came here for lunch on Christmas day and the experience was incredible. The place looked so cozy and the food was very good. Servers were a bit clumsy sometimes with their movements but tried to compensate it with positive attitude. Dishes sizes varied. Some were large (penne, spaghetti) some were quite tiny (ravioli or gnocchi). All in all a great place
Spending Christmas at Il Cortile, in the heart of Little Italy, was a magical experience. From the entrance you are enveloped by a unique Christmas atmosphere, cared for in every detail, capable of making you feel inside a fairy tale between tradition, warmth and authentic holiday spirit. The food was simply delicious, full of authentic flavors and prepared with great attention to quality. Each dish tells of the real Italian cuisine, the one that warms the heart as well as the palate. The impeccable staff, professional and always smiling, contributed to making the evening perfect. A special thanks goes to Tommy, the owner: a true gentleman, present, welcoming and passionate, capable of transmitting love for his restaurant and for every guest. The Courtyard is not just a restaurant, but an experience to live, especially during the Christmas period. Absolutely recommended ✨🇮🇹
We absolutely love this place. So much that we had our wedding reception here. Manny and team made our special day wonderful and a year and half later our guests still talk about the food and the service. So much that it has become a tour spot for their friends and family visiting NYC. More recently, we went there for dinner on Christmas Eve - the place was done up beautifully affording many photo ops and the food and atmosphere were top notch as usual. What I appreciate the most about this place is the consistency - we've been here over 5 times in the past 18 months and it's always great. Highly recommend their courtyard/patio seating. Our favorites are their spaghetti al pesto, frutti di mari salad and espresso martini, but anything you eat here will be delicious.
This is a must at Christmas time. We had a reservation for 15 people and these guys nailed it. Excellent food excellent service. Memorable experience!!

In our visit to little Italy this restaurant was everything we could’ve wanted and more our server was extremely knowledgeable friendly and accommodating, he even recommended a special that was not in the menu to accommodate our dietary needs, this restaurant truly has it all, amazing service, quality, and vibe. To make things even better, the food was the best Italian I have ever had. Truly an unforgettable experience, will definitely visit again when back in NYC! Thank you so much!!!
AMAZING!! Everything was soooo good! Food was delicious, service was outstanding, drinks were so so good too. We recommend stuffed mushrooms and fried burrata for appetizers! So so good, will definitely be returning!!!
Food was nothing short of incredible. Even for a bulky price, you get a true Italian meal, and the service is incredible. My water never got to empty. The atmosphere is very pleasant, especially in the atrium.
First time dining at the indoor garden. As you walk in, the statues & decor offer you a glimpse of Roman splendor. 🥇🥇 The moonlight cascading down from the skylight is breathtaking. We asked for recommendations from Manny the head chef. Our meal was exquisite and the service was exceptional. Had the pleasure of meeting Tommy the proprietor and enjoying a glass of wine recommended by him. The Primitivo Riserva was so good I decided on a bottle for myself. Napa valley Caymus quality for 1/2 of the price. 👍👍 IL Cortile is the “Creme de la creme” of Mulberry st. Jan 2024: Returned with my Dad cause the dining experience was unforgettable on my previous visit. Great place for food whether it’s a quick bite or a full meal! Pizza 🍕 was burnt a little but was very tasty 😋 I would definitely recommend and will definitely comeback to this beautiful restaurant

Little Italy spots can blur together and some push hard outside. This one felt calm and inviting. Inside is cozy. The garden room in back is the win: high ceilings, warm lights, lively but comfortable. Service was on point. Friendly team, clear recommendations, steady pacing. Warm bread with olive oil and balsamic arrived fast. The meatball was tender with a bright tomato sauce. The penne alla vodka was al dente and balanced. Drinks were a Mojito and an Aperol Spritz, both fresh. Classic Little Italy feel without the tourist push. Good flavor, good people, and a room you want to sit in. I would return and bring visitors. Delicious! The ricotta/spinach stuffed gnocchi was the best. The penne alla vodka with sausage was delicious as well as the ravioli. The cheesecake was also great, very rich! The restaurant is gorgeous inside and our server was 10/10.

Great little place in little Italy, the atmosphere is quaint especially the middle of the restaurant under a skylight. The pasta is perfectly al dente and full of flavor. We got the calamari which was very lightly breaded and the burrata for appetizers with two pastas for the main. The rigatoni Napoli full of red sauce and tomatoes. The rigatoni speciale which has sausage and mushrooms and a delicious white sauce. A must visit in the city.
Food was extremely good, environment was great, service was some of the best. Service is friendly, food comes out fresh with high quality and well priced. They serve very good portions and all of it tastes good. Expect about $35 a person for a solid restaurant. Came here with a group of 5 and they were very accommodating.
