Excellent pizza and service. I love that they have seasonal pizzas as well. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Sacramento. I also want to give recognition to the waiter, Ryan. He is so friendly and attentive. I wish other restaurants could have waiters like him.

Excellent service. The food was amazing. We got the broccolini and two different pizzas. The crust was dynamite!! Oh and we finished with a warm chocolate chip cookie, a la mode. We will definitely be back. Fun, neighborhood vibes.

Wow. Well, I’m something of a pizza connoisseur myself😅…I have my favorites. PizzaHacker in SF…OPS in Brooklyn…Denino’s in SI…Keste in Manhattan…Olio in LA…Lupo in Fremont (Seattle)…and Masullo (although I’ve gone 6 years between visits). Amazing spot. Naturally leavened, cold-fermented, THE DOUGH IS AMAZING!!!! So is every other bite I’ve had there. Bravo, Masullo Team🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

We ordered the Elisa pizza and the Paula pizza, which left a lasting impression. The Elisa pizza was a delightful blend of flavors. The combination of fresh ingredients was evident in every bite. I was with Carlo and Evo Bastini and wanted to go to an Italian restaurant down in the alphabet streets, and when I said the name of the place Evo sluggged me! Then Carlo sluggged me! Whatsa matt'r you he says, we'll go to Masullo because it's the best food in Sacramento, just like at Nonna's house. Well, we went to Masullo and got the daily pasta before our pizza, and he was right, it was just like Nonna made it! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

Best authentic Italian style pizzas in Sacramento. This is me and my boyfriend’s favorite place in Sacramento. Their margherita pizza is so delicious. The sauce is fresh and light and a little sweet but not overpowering. The perfect amount of fresh mozzarella topped with basil. The dough itself is perfectly cooked and charred. I’ve put all of my friends and family onto this restaurant!!

This is an Italian approved place for us, thus we have been here several times. The place was remodeled and there is 50% more space than 4 years ago. The food is always of high quality. We had the anchovies pizza and it was spectacular. We also had the penne pasta with chorizo in red sauce. Very tasty! The service was exceptional and the ambience with the new space was good. Parking is an issue in this place as there is only 2 regular parkings in front of the restaurant. Location is not the best but the place is worth visiting this we keep coming back.

They do get busy at times and parking can be a challenge, but it's all worth it in the end. The Sacramento Bee ranked it the "Best Pizza in Sacramento", and I might agree that it is one of the best. Must try if you have the chance.

Our first time and it was great. We tried the potatoe and three meat pizzas, also got the giant tasty meatballs with red sauce, lemon arugula bucatini pasta, and finally the Portuguese clam chowder which is red. Will definitely add as one of our go to spots.

We had been trying to find a real Naples style pizza, but this was the first time that we really satisfied to find a decent Naples pizza in the US. Tomato sauce is just simple tomato sauce. You can enjoy the real fravor of tomato. Definitely, highly recommend to order Margherita pizza. We also enjoyed the pizza without tomato sauce. Therefore, their pizza dough is also great. I would like to try pasta next time.

You cannot go to Italia for $100 but you can have a great meal for two here and FEEL Italia! Spot on flavors and execution….no music while we were there so the emphasis on the food…works! We are returning!

THE BEST Italian pizza. You can even get half and half if you can’t decide… the Margarita is superb. And we loved the Gilda, no sauce, with mozzarella and fontina and a gremolata with anchovies.

The staff were amazing and extremely attentive. My favorite pizza was the "3 Meats"; however, the "Jacqueline" was an interesting find. Also liked the diet root beer on menu. Highly recommend this pizza spot. #Classy

This was an amazing experience. Cindy and the other servers were very kind and tentative. We had the spinach and berrata salad that was light and full of flavor. We then had the pear, pancetta, and aged Jack pizza ( aged Monterey Jack was 🤌🏾) these flavors were DIVINE. we ended a fabulous night of girlhood with the lemon posset and the chocolate pudding! Both were extremely flavorful and creamy. Perfect way to end a beautiful introduction to a restaurant.

Great food, but the main room is in desperate need of sound treatment. Get more than half a dozen people in there and immediately everyone has to shout to be heard.

The pizzas are pretty damn good, fresh ingredients. A little on the pricey side, but you get whey you pay for. Boylan Diet soda was a nice touch 🆚 your regular D.Coke or D. Pepsi

While the pizza itself was decent, I was disappointed with the amount of cheese and sauce. They are skimping on the ingredients, leaving the pizza very underwhelming. I know this because I travel for work. I've have had Margherita pizzas from all across the US, even in other countries. But overall mediocre for Sacramento.

Minimalist decor in an odd way. Felt like an unfinished restaurant. Very small tables with no room for pizza. Meat pizza was not good. The crust was decent the pizza was soggy, very little cheese and toppings. Tons of ricotta. Was off putting. The rosemary bread was delicious. Salad soggy with tons of dressing but very little substance aside from arugula and a little sliced almonds. Everything seemed lacking. Service so so. Took a while to get water. Did not return to ask how food was. Had to flag another server to ask for another glass of wine, which came in a tiny standard cup and definitely not a full serving. Has the potential to be good with some care an attention to detail. I was very surprised by the high reviews for the area. Much better food in Sac. Would not return.

Oh this is terrible to have to post. I’ve come here a handful of times. My first experience was great. Partly because it was one of the cooks first times on the floor. He and I had a good rapport. I ordered the margharita pizza and the arugula salad. The salad had scarce toppings but tasted great, the pizza was under cooked. It was super soggy and had 4 small pieces of basil on it. Half the sauce. So I was eating dough. Loved their coffee which they get from a local coffee shop. I decided to come back because I really enjoyed the initial service and thought I can just tell them to cook the pizza longer, add more sauce, cheese and basil to the entire pizza. The service was terrible, I had an older woman serve me. She was ice cold and never came to check on me. I sat without water until I paid my bill. She hovered over me as I was paying and made me feel obligated to leave her a tip. I left feeling very upset that I was pressured to leave a tip for horrible service. Well I went back a couple of more times to see if it would get better. It didn’t. Yesterday, I came back from a six hour drive and wanted their salad. I came in and decided to eat outside as there is a negative vibe inside. The kid serving me did not like that I requested shaved cheese. ( second time this happened) I did not care that their cheese is all the same, grated or shaved. I wanted it shaved. I also asked for the pizza to be extra crispy with lots of basil. There were 5 tiny pieces of basil and not evenly distributed. He charged me for the cheese. Even though it’s the same cheese. Didn’t tell me. Charged me for extra salad dressing. Didn’t tell me. This hadn’t happened before. Now here is the kicker, I get home and immediately have stomach pain so severe. I spent the entire night in fetal position on the toilet because of the sharp excruciating pain and was running to my bathroom every second. I’ve spent all day today at home because I cannot control my bowels. I know I contracted a foodborne illness there. After thinking about it. Each time I’ve been there I’ve gotten sick. I have experienced diarrhea and stomach pain every time. I guess I overlooked it. I just put it together last night. This has been the worst of it. I do not have any food intolerances or any such thing. Last night and today have been the most unpleasant experiences. I guess I’ve learned my lesson and will not go back. I’m guessing something is off in their ingredients. Perhaps the tomato sauce is not being properly held/stored. Or they’re not using proper sanitation. Maybe these guys do not change their gloves and wash their hands per servsafe. Or the water is bad. I don’t know but something is definitely wrong. I’ve been a chef for years and these are all symptoms of cross contamination/ food borne illness. I literally paid almost $40 dollars for an explosive, excruciating enema experience.

Was expecting a great experience. Italian oven, minimalist decor and menu. Ordered the broccolini and a pizza. Pizza came. Uncooked mushrooms and flavorless tomatoes. I had to put salt on my pizza to get some flavor. Finished the pizza. Inquired about the broccolini, was told there was a communication error and there would be none. Would you like more water? Yes please. Finished our bottle of wine and thirsty. 10 minutes later, I guess we get no water. No broccoli, no water, flavorless pizza. No thanks.

We ordered one margarita and one Mustapha pizza, which had a terrible presentation. The margarita pizza tastes only of tomatoes and bread! The entire margarita pizza had five shriveled basil leaves and very little flavor. The mozzarella was chewy and low quality. The food was 1-star, but the service deserves an extra star. The best part of this place is the napkins.

I decided to try an Italian restaurant , but instead walked into what felt like an airport style millennial spin off. The atmosphere was cold and impersonal, and the pizza was overpriced for what it was, burnt crust and no real flavor. As someone who is Italian and has eaten all over Italy, I expected much better. 10/10 would not recommend. Support the old family-run restaurants, not hipster joints like this.
