Chicken katsu was so good
Delicious food and service!
Very good experience
Absolutely love this place! We support them every chance we get.
Great food, great concept. I usually pay a, little extra.
Thank you Kimberly for taking care of us.
Taste Community Restaurant in Arlington is such a wonderful concept and a great spot for lunch. The food was delicious, fresh, and satisfying without feeling too heavy, which I really appreciated. It’s the kind of meal that fills you up but still leaves you feeling good afterward. The atmosphere feels welcoming, and I love that the restaurant has a purpose beyond just serving food. It makes the whole experience feel even better knowing you’re supporting something positive in the community. Overall, this is a place I’d definitely recommend for anyone looking for a light, flavorful lunch with a meaningful mission behind it.
You gotta eat here the smash burger is was awesomeness...
A good way to enjoy great food at your own price as well as helping others
Love this place.
Taste is such an amazing place. Some day when i make it big i’d love to support the place more. I was just passing through town and it happened to be near my friends house, and for three days straight i had some of the best meals ive had in a year. Making good healthy cooked meals should be a mission we strive for, for everyone. i’m sure it could even alleviate health problems for many people allowing them to return to the work force. I never thought i’d be interested to go back to dallas but this place takes the (carrot) cake ;)
Absolutely AWESOME! What a wonderful concept. Food and service GREAT.
Taste Community Restaurant is truly something special. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but the mission behind the restaurant makes the experience even more meaningful. It’s a pay-what-you-can concept that creates a welcoming space for everyone, and you can genuinely feel that sense of community the moment you walk in. The staff and volunteers are incredibly kind and passionate, creating an atmosphere that feels warm and inclusive. Highly recommend to anyone looking for something both delicious and impactful.
I recently tried the Strawberry Toast, and it truly lives up to being a seasonal standout. The toasted brioche had the perfect balance of crispness on the outside while staying soft and buttery inside. The crème fraîche added a rich, creamy layer that paired beautifully with the sweet, juicy strawberries. I will be ordering this again!!!
I love it …. Is a great non profit organization…. Food is wonderful!!!
Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere. We will definitely be back. The chicken katsu was outstanding, as was the burger and crispy potatoes. I would never guess that the chefs and waitresses staff are volunteers! I love the mission of this restaurant and will be back again soon.
This place is amazing, as is the mission and service they provide. I couldn't afford much but I gave literally all I had because it was more than worth it by far, and then some so I also have signed up to volunteer and start this Wednesday. more than worth it though. The people who also are there volunteerlng are very nice and pleasant and overal
We made a reservation for three at 1230 on Sunday. Wow, we were impressed! The place is beautiful inside. Our waitress Nancy was friendly and so attentive! Every dish we tried was fresh and delicious. So was the homemade lemonade!
There is not enough wonderful things that can be said of this restaurant concept, the food nor the staff. It is one of the best experiences that the DFW has to offer!
Love the mission. I wish you has to go. What happens to food waste?
really neat place! wonderful cause! menu changes occasionally so it's always something great! pay what you feel it's worth or what you can.
Food was on point! We've salad and tortilla soup for starters. Drunken noodles and bbq chicken sandwich for mains. Great concept!!!
If you're a picky eater, just go to Wendy's down the street, otherwise the food is awesome. I see why it's called Taste. A Taste of fine dining.
The staff is very friendly and the food is great. The location is clean and organized. I go there at least once a week.
It was everything I expected it to be and much more. I was very pleased.
Great concept, everyone welcome. Love
Clean space. Good food. Nice staff.
Love this restaurant it's really great to be able to get a wonderful tasteful meal for a donation you give what you can I am so grateful for the taste community restaurant
Great food and service. Nice opportunity to give to the community.
The food is amazing! A great concept of "pay what you can" and the mission they are striving for.
Good food and is always fresh and delicious. The staff and volunteers are so nice and attentive
One of my favorite restaurants!
This place is owned and and operated by an ARMY OF ANGELS...... TELLING EVERYONE THIS IS THE PLACE FOR A PIECE OF FOOD AND "PEACE OF MIND.'
Great food for the hole family,And some of the best service in dinning out.
The moment you enter, the place feels comfortable and inviting.
good food
Great place to eat.
Very good!
Nice place to eat, the food is delicious😋. It closes at 2pm so come before then. Making reservations makes seating more convenient, especially if you're pressed for time.
This is such a wonderful concept, excellent food and service. This was a reunion of folks that worked for United Way over 20 years ago. We were not an easy group. We had a delightful time. I hadn't been to the Arlington location until today. Both this one and the one in Fort Worth will not disappoint!
Our first time here and it didn’t disappoint! The food is delicious- we had pozole roja soup, black n blue burger with sautéed mushroom and arugula, and Texas sized breakfast sandwich with delicious crispy breakfast potatoes! Service and environment are excellent! We”ll definitely be back!
Delicious food. Great mission. Always a 10 out of 10. Give the servers grace. They are volunteers. The presentation and taste are superb.
Mez our server was very polite and very attentive. The people who work here are friendly and the food is health compared to other food options on the market. Our food was good, the only comment I would add is about the “small plate” on the menu it seems to be an appetizer but we were informed the portions are actually very large so that was a bit confusing and we decided to go with just the main entree. Overall the ambiance is relaxing and the interior design of the space is very nice.
Totally amazing what this restaurant is doing for the community of Arlington. The food quality is 5 star!! And such a serene atmosphere. Well worth checking out.
Went to the new location in Arlington. They were not super busy around 1pm. I ordered the Chicken Katsu and it was really good. It was a decent portion for lunch. It came out after maybe 10-12 min. I ordered a water to drink. They do not serve alcohol at this location. Not sure about the others. I also ordered their panacotta and it was really good! They do not accept tips and they have you write what you feel the meal was worth. I will def be going again.
The restaurant is great! The food is fresh and really gourmet. I didn't expect the level of expertise in the food. I love that it also helps the community. It is a pay what you can restaurant so that is a different but interesting concept.
Friendly staff delicious food 10 out of 10 would recommend!
We love Taste. First, we love the mission (see website). We have only had pleasant meal experiences at Taste and have committed to dining once a month at the Fort Worth location. This Arlington location is much closer to home and we are so thrilled the doors are opening to feed this community we live in. If you are able, please consider paying more than you would normally pay for a meal to assist those who can not afford a meal at all. If you are one that can not afford a meal, please visit taste and experience the generosity of others. There are also volunteer opportunities. *my suggestions for visitors* once you visit, you might understand my suggestions. -Order only the amount you can eat, firstly to eliminate waste. But also, there may be a no "to-go box" rule. -Make a reservation 24hrs in advanced. This is not neccessary, but in my experience you could wait an hour for a table without reservation. -Respect any house rules, even if they're unwritten. (I.e. you probably can't order unlimited sides, even though this is a pay-what-you-can restraunt). -Check out the upcoming events on their website. Grab a few friends and split a table. You will not be disappointed in the high level of food quality. -Menu changes often and is seasonal, look ahead but don't commit incase what you see online isn't what is being served (it's all good though). -several diet preference/sensitive options.
Great service and everything was extremely delicious! The place was beautiful too!
Literally a Godsend. Service is incredible, the food is fresh, flavorful, and diverse in origin. I’ve been supporting their Fort Worth location, and as a broke college student, they’ve supported me. We need more places like this. Jim, Julie, Leslie, Mitz, and Julianna are just a few of their incredible workers. Oh and you can tell the bathroom was designed by a woman. No gaps in the stalls, mid-height hooks for your bag, deep sink, and roomy enough if you are disabled or have a little one. *Just remember to reserve a table for the quickest seating time.* Please PLEASE give this place a try. It could change someone’s life.

Pleaseee tell me you've been to Taste Project in Arlington & have helped to support this non-profit? They opened their Arlington location just a few months ago! Did you know their menu changes every few months? 👀 I will start by saying, I HATE any sort of 'slaw'. Maybe its a texture or a smell thing, I dunno.. but today I was living on the edge and ordered the BBQ Chicken Sandwich that comes with pickled peaches & summer slaw on top. Let me tell you.. it was DELICIOUS! As picky as I can be at times, I would definitely order this again.🤤 10/10 If you've never been, you won't find any prices on their menu when you arrive.. instead you'll see: 1. Pay what you can afford 2. Pay what you would typically pay, or 3. Pay what you would typically pay, plus a little extra If you've been to their Arlington or Fort Worth location, I'd love to hear about it. Comment below & tell me your thoughts!
I love this place so much! Their food has always been so great-you can never go wrong with anything you get!! They also change up their menu every season so it fits the time. Everyone is super nice and inside is beautiful! If you ever think about going, don’t walk, RUN!!
The food and the service was amazing. I was so surprised by the menu. It was high quality and the people here are so understanding, supportive and loving. I recommend this restaurant to anyone. Family friends come out and enjoy yourself is a true blessing.
A friend took me here after church and it was wonderful! Love the Christian music playing and the whole concept of this restaurant! Definitely go here and donate to the great cause and enjoy fine dining!
A fantastic restaurant helping others with fewer resources enjoy dining experiences. Great food, wonderful volunteer staff and a beautiful setting. The bill is whatever you're able to pay. So if you're financially able to leave a little extra, it's greatly appreciated. It helps someone else who might not have financial resources.
Beautiful, healthy, nutritious food. Love the 'pay what you can' premise. Modern, clean site and atmosphere. Lovely volunteer servers. It's our go-to place.

This place is godsend. The food is absolutely delicious and I have been blessed with each and every meal they have provided for me with little money I have. I give everything I am able to each time I go and not a single person judges me. I pray for places like this! Thank you for feeding my heart and soul with love!

Hands down the best smash burger with good char, flavor of the beef and lamb patties on quality bun with plenty of good cheese. My salad was extra satisfying for textures and the flavors if too light on the leaf needs nothing with so much offered, as usual the crispy potatoes are too good to allow them to cool for me, a perfect saltiness for to enjoy sans any dressing being the perfect bite size, moist, crunchy with some skins in just fine amount they stand alone in the heart of these meals. They offer two very nice desserts but can't ever pass on a carrot cake and with very good reason at Taste, was just a wee bit dry and without much texture aside from the cake itself beautifully done, a great addition to yet another really wonderful meal.
Great people.
I was pretty satisfied with my experience. Ambiance was warm and friendly, service was okay, and the food was decent. My only real gripe was that the menu is not arranged intuitively. Several entrees are mixed into the small plate section which was misleading about what counted as an appetizer vs an entree. Appetizers were quite good, steak was a little disappointing and not tender enough, but it wasn’t bad.
Theoretically you pay whatever you want the food is always awesome the staff is always kind and smiling me and my wife try to at least go every 2 weeks and also love what they all about great human beings altogether

The experience and presentation was great. The service and food needs a little work. It was MY experience not to say yours wouldn't be better. I appreciate the thought of helping the community to the fullest and will continue to assist with just that.
Food was undercooked. Waitress was either having a bad day or just not super pleasant. Very clean place though! The original location in FTW is better!
Loved the atmosphere but felt the food was off for the area. Butternut squash pasta was sweet which was a miss and was missing the flavor of goat cheese which was expected as its listed as a main component. I love the concept but feel like it could use some shaking down and get a little more texafied if that makes sense. As it stands too Foo Foo for my taste.

Have been deciding whether or not to write this but here goes. Approximately a month and a half age on my wife's birthday a group of approximately 14 had actually 2 different reservations there for a large party. The manager of this locations spoke to e concerning our group and was very rude to me. The party was the staff from where my wife works. I thought it was very inappropriate for the manage to be rude. This was the first time for us to eat at this location. Questioning whether This place will be recommended to others. There were those in our party who knew he was rude. Not a good example for this restaurant. Yes, the food was good but his action made the experience not a good one. This is my rant.
The manager here is pretty rude and confronted me, it was pretty uncomfortable and I won't be back. He judged me without really knowing anything about me. Maybe I was just unlucky but I would avoid him.
