This is such a wonderful concept, excellent food and service. This was a reunion of folks that worked for United Way over 20 years ago. We were not an easy group. We had a delightful time. I hadn't been to the Arlington location until today. Both this one and the one in Fort Worth will not disappoint!

Our first time here and it didn’t disappoint! The food is delicious- we had pozole roja soup, black n blue burger with sautéed mushroom and arugula, and Texas sized breakfast sandwich with delicious crispy breakfast potatoes! Service and environment are excellent! We”ll definitely be back!

Delicious food. Great mission. Always a 10 out of 10. Give the servers grace. They are volunteers. The presentation and taste are superb.

Mez our server was very polite and very attentive. The people who work here are friendly and the food is health compared to other food options on the market. Our food was good, the only comment I would add is about the “small plate” on the menu it seems to be an appetizer but we were informed the portions are actually very large so that was a bit confusing and we decided to go with just the main entree. Overall the ambiance is relaxing and the interior design of the space is very nice.

Went to the new location in Arlington. They were not super busy around 1pm. I ordered the Chicken Katsu and it was really good. It was a decent portion for lunch. It came out after maybe 10-12 min. I ordered a water to drink. They do not serve alcohol at this location. Not sure about the others. I also ordered their panacotta and it was really good! They do not accept tips and they have you write what you feel the meal was worth. I will def be going again.

The restaurant is great! The food is fresh and really gourmet. I didn't expect the level of expertise in the food. I love that it also helps the community. It is a pay what you can restaurant so that is a different but interesting concept.

We love Taste. First, we love the mission (see website). We have only had pleasant meal experiences at Taste and have committed to dining once a month at the Fort Worth location. This Arlington location is much closer to home and we are so thrilled the doors are opening to feed this community we live in. If you are able, please consider paying more than you would normally pay for a meal to assist those who can not afford a meal at all. If you are one that can not afford a meal, please visit taste and experience the generosity of others. There are also volunteer opportunities. *my suggestions for visitors* once you visit, you might understand my suggestions. -Order only the amount you can eat, firstly to eliminate waste. But also, there may be a no "to-go box" rule. -Make a reservation 24hrs in advanced. This is not neccessary, but in my experience you could wait an hour for a table without reservation. -Respect any house rules, even if they're unwritten. (I.e. you probably can't order unlimited sides, even though this is a pay-what-you-can restraunt). -Check out the upcoming events on their website. Grab a few friends and split a table. You will not be disappointed in the high level of food quality. -Menu changes often and is seasonal, look ahead but don't commit incase what you see online isn't what is being served (it's all good though). -several diet preference/sensitive options.

Literally a Godsend. Service is incredible, the food is fresh, flavorful, and diverse in origin. I’ve been supporting their Fort Worth location, and as a broke college student, they’ve supported me. We need more places like this. Jim, Julie, Leslie, Mitz, and Julianna are just a few of their incredible workers. Oh and you can tell the bathroom was designed by a woman. No gaps in the stalls, mid-height hooks for your bag, deep sink, and roomy enough if you are disabled or have a little one. *Just remember to reserve a table for the quickest seating time.* Please PLEASE give this place a try. It could change someone’s life.

Pleaseee tell me you've been to Taste Project in Arlington & have helped to support this non-profit? They opened their Arlington location just a few months ago! Did you know their menu changes every few months? 👀 I will start by saying, I HATE any sort of 'slaw'. Maybe its a texture or a smell thing, I dunno.. but today I was living on the edge and ordered the BBQ Chicken Sandwich that comes with pickled peaches & summer slaw on top. Let me tell you.. it was DELICIOUS! As picky as I can be at times, I would definitely order this again.🤤 10/10 If you've never been, you won't find any prices on their menu when you arrive.. instead you'll see: 1. Pay what you can afford 2. Pay what you would typically pay, or 3. Pay what you would typically pay, plus a little extra If you've been to their Arlington or Fort Worth location, I'd love to hear about it. Comment below & tell me your thoughts!

A fantastic restaurant helping others with fewer resources enjoy dining experiences. Great food, wonderful volunteer staff and a beautiful setting. The bill is whatever you're able to pay. So if you're financially able to leave a little extra, it's greatly appreciated. It helps someone else who might not have financial resources.

This place is godsend. The food is absolutely delicious and I have been blessed with each and every meal they have provided for me with little money I have. I give everything I am able to each time I go and not a single person judges me. I pray for places like this! Thank you for feeding my heart and soul with love!

I was pretty satisfied with my experience. Ambiance was warm and friendly, service was okay, and the food was decent. My only real gripe was that the menu is not arranged intuitively. Several entrees are mixed into the small plate section which was misleading about what counted as an appetizer vs an entree. Appetizers were quite good, steak was a little disappointing and not tender enough, but it wasn’t bad.

Loved the atmosphere but felt the food was off for the area. Butternut squash pasta was sweet which was a miss and was missing the flavor of goat cheese which was expected as its listed as a main component. I love the concept but feel like it could use some shaking down and get a little more texafied if that makes sense. As it stands too Foo Foo for my taste.

Food was undercooked. Waitress was either having a bad day or just not super pleasant. Very clean place though! The original location in FTW is better!
