These days where you can't find a decent Italian pizzarera. You can always count on Papa John's. It's not really Italian, but they do make good pizza.

I absolutely love Papa John's pizza and this is where I usually get mine. Small place, only a couple of tables if anyone wants to sit and eat, since they're most of their business is takeout and delivery.

I have always had a great experience ordering from here, thanks to Haider’s exceptional customer service. The specials, desserts, and fast delivery makes for a great deal!

I was very satisfied with my epic stuffed crust pizza. My food was still very hot when delivered, which is hardly the case with their competitors.

Picked up a large pie with a special going on. The order was ready on time and it was delicious. We enjoy ordering through the app.

This was my first time ordering pizza from this location. I had a very positive experience. No issues with My order. The food was good. The delivery time was faster than expected and estimated. The driver was polite and took the time to call me like I requested. Will definitely order again.

I've never had any issues at this place. Even when it gets crowded with the school kids it's still easy going in there. The order process is a quick in and out. No hassle. Not like across the street. I don't go to that place anymore. They're too rude.

We've placed large orders with this papa john's for several years (since 2018 - pre-pandemic) and they have been stellar! Their manager (Sonam) really goes out of his way to help us. We have gotten our order of yummy pizzas correct and on time every time... Deeply appreciated and love this Papa Johns!

Reading the reviews, I think a lot of the negativity has to do with the delivery service. I've ordered carry-out from them several times and had never had a bad experience. I would order online and the pizza is always ready to be picked up with 15 minutes.

Pizza was delicious. Not greasy. Toppings were awesome! My daughter and I loved it!

I am from California and have not found any other pizza place that makes normal pizza crust. Domino's and Pizza Hut are out here but Domino's is like the MC Donald's and Pizza Hut is like Burger King. Papa John's is Carl's Jr. I was in Jersey City and had a Papa John's DON'T GO TO THAT LOCATION the quality of food was awful kinda like getting a gross Burger and thinking "how did you mess this up?" The Jersey friend I was with said it was normal for Papa John's and I said no just this location.

I don't know what people are complaining about their pizzas are just like any other papa Jhon's which if you like them you'll be ok with these. Also they have seats and AC inside (unlike many other stores)which helps if you plan at eating inside

Very good pizza! the only thing maybe try to have more people the speak languages like -Spanish and Italian and Chinese. Also please have more patience with us people.

The Pizza was fresh and delicious. However the large pie came in small slices. I ate 5 slices and I can only eat 2 the most.

I called and ordered two large pies ten minutes before close and the owner stayed open and filled my order. I am very impressed with the quality of the pizza. I eat Papa John's all the time but this was different....better.... lighter and fresher... maybe it was the time of day, but i literally ate two large pies... ***Four stars is the highest I give unless I am blown off my feet or given a gold bar.

Got a free chicken pizza from TMobile Tuesday. It tasted like pizza and it was fresh lol. Can't complain. Only giving it three stars cuz the locally owned pizza spots in NY are 10x better and bigger slices.

Update: I'm changing my review because I realize that I don't want to negatively impact the store based on one person's poor handling. On a very level rate, this PPJ's isn't that bad and has service that's not really to complain about... 2 stars added back. Previous Rating w 1 star: You know how know give bAAAAAd service, but don't really care because for some reason, IDIOTS out there still order from you...yeah...that's this place. PPJ: Our driver got into an accident. Moi: Really, is he okay? PPJ: Don't worry your pizza is on it's way... Moi: Oh, like the same pizza...? I mean, was the driver on a bike? PPJ: Yup, he hit a girl's car, but your...actually, we're remaking your order... Moi: (uncomfortable silence) PPJ: Yeah, sorry for the hour and plus wait in which we didn't tell you about in advance and how it more than tripled our promised delivery time. (He didn't really say that last bit, but did say---) Yeah, our system is weird, so we couldn't let you know of the delay. Moi: Ugh, this is where I ask for a refund! This is stuffed Large pizza. Really?? Was there full of cheese? No. It was full of air with thin cheese sitting in it. Never order cheese stuffed pizza from here. Half of my pizza is just air and bread. Usually not that bad.

Their pizzas have way too much cheese and little to none tomato sauce. It felt like I was eating spongy cheese bread.

Who really needs a big controversial chain place in New York City? Get a slice literally anywhere else and support local. They pump the smell of their ovens onto the sidewalk with is a clever technique.

Worst Customer Service, the quality of the food is okay and traditional to Papa Johns. But the customer service is horrible, they only take online orders which is so inconvenient, when you just want to pay cash. I can’t even order the phone from another Papa Johns cause they give me this location. They service literally has gone down hill.

Fast delivery but wrong pizza. I asked for extra red sauce on the pizza plus some on the side. I got neither. Then the driver came to my building and wanted me to come outside to pick up the pizza I said no come inside to my security guard and my security guard will page me when your actually here. I got paged a couple minutes later and while I was done stairs the driver was demanding a tip. He said "I need my tip" I said " you are getting one " he then took the receipt and put it on the guard table and pointed to the tip location and said" tip here" I called the store and the guy said if I wanted my correct pizza fixed I would have to return the one to the driver and wait for another one. I will not be ordering from there again

We paid extra for an epic stuffed crust pizza and unfortunately we got a thin crust. No big deal, but when I called and spoke to a manager (said his name was King) he kept repeating that it was the driver’s fault, which doesn’t make sense. I wish he could’ve rectified the situation somehow instead of blaming the driver for an error made in the kitchen. If the manager is reading this, please be do better. Thank you!

Pizza wasn't even cooked. 2 Pies both almost raw. It was stringy I thought it was the cheese but on the next bite realized it was the dough. It stretched more than the cheese. They use to have good pies the quality is dropping more and more.

Don't order here. Over and hour for delivery. Pizza was cold and horrible. Normally I would even order from here but wanted my daughter to try the stuffed crust pizza.

Probably my worst Papa John’s experience. The driver could not find my hotel of which he had the address. He asked me to come outside and walk down the street to meet him in below 20 degree weather. The pizza was cold when he finally found my hotel.

Order pizza from here and it took longer than usual when I called i was told that they were a little busier than usual but my pizza should arrive shortly. After my pizza came i received these texts , this location delivered my pizza to the wrong person who then proceeded to contact me and tell me that they had "my pizza" i would tell ever everyone don't order from this location if you don't like your food with a side order of harassment. I've called corporate and yet nothing from the actual location. Go elsewhere to order your food.

I waited an hour and a half for my pizza and I live down the street from their location. Not only this but I had to repeat myself repeatedly because the phone operator did not fully understand english. This gives the franchise a really bad name.

Don’t have high expectations. Ordered 3 pizzas in the last 2 months using the app and messed the order up every single time. Offered me $4 the third and final time I ordered from them. Too bad. When they get it right it’s good but sure is frustrating when you have a manager who shows so little concern about your order.

Don’t ever order here. I have tried TWICE now to order pizzas from here and they have canceled my order. I put my address into the Papa John’s website, the site places the order to this store. Then some time later the folks at this store cancel my order, stagings it’s “outside of their delivery zone” despite their own website assigning me this store! The email also says “we tried to call you about this” but I have no missed calls, no texts, they never reached out except for the email saying it’s canceled. So now nearly an hour later here I am still without pizza and having to make other quick dinner plans. And don’t bother calling the restaurant, you’ll just deal with the beyond rude manager who won’t do anything to help you.

Don’t ever order delivery from any apps from this place. They have their own delivery guy and they would not deliver upstairs when you can just press a few buttons and go up the elevators. Customers don’t pay for delivery fee and tips just so you can leave the food at the lobby and ask us to go downstairs. Attitude is horrible and even argues with our concierge just so he can saves a few steps or a few minutes without coming upstairs. Nice job Papa John’s. Maybe next time hire someone actually responsible and can deliver upstairs like some normal people.

Delivery from this location is the worst experience. Pizza comes late, either half cold, or completely dry from sitting in the box in the warm oven waiting for the delivery guy to take it away. Last week we got a delivery from here and the pizza was so dry we could barely pick off the ingredients off the pizza. The guys at this location play with the tracker as well. Many times the tracker showed "delivered" and the pizza showed up 30-40 minutes later... We try to never place a delivery order here during rush hour, but have been getting "stale" pizza even outside of the normal meal times.

Ordered a $40 custom 16inch pizza and it came raw. Tried to call and the manager picked up and said it was on the driver. The pizza was uncooked and inedible. Pretty much just tossed away $40 and they did nothing to fix or replace.

Horrible service! Said it'll take 20 mins, called them an hour after told us it'll be coming in 5-10 mins. It was so hard to ask for a refund, and they don't even refund you for a horrible pizza. Very disappointed and will never order again. Dominos is soooo much more worth it

I paid for my pizza and tip online and received it from the window of the delivery vehicle at 12:20am on 8/19/16. The driver promptly left before I could check the pizza itself. Lo and behold, the cheese on the pizza had lifted and was on less than on half of it, as if it had been handled extremely poorly. Hopefully I can edit this star count in the future once this store proves that this bit of service was an rare case.

Horrible service. I spoke with the manager(Sarah) Apr 10, 2022, 3:22PM through the phone call. Was she friendly or nice? No, she was rude, aggressive, immature and unprofessional.(Plz, listen to the phone call.) I had to cancel the order after speaking with her in a bit. I apologized her for my mistake, and kept asking her "We don't need to argue," several times. Why the fucg a manager wants to argue with customers? She didn't give me any trust either. Now I have to worry about if she really gave me a full refund or not. This is how I couldn't get trust from her and canceled my order. She sounded like early her 20's. Really? She is the manager of your store?? You would loose your business if all the managers are like that.

So we decided to order a pizza (first delivery in two months, since we are scared about the safety and hygiene measures implemented). First, regarding the order accuracy, we ordered a pizza with kitchen it arrived with sausage. Secondly, regarding their safety measures, the delivery person arrived wearing a mask, but with no gloves. Plus, he gave us everything by hand & told us to sign on the iPad. We have to admit that we are surprised, deliveries are supposed to avoid human contacts. Plus, it made us think about their hygiene measures in their kitchen. Restaurants should definitely be more cautious.

TLDR: Go support a small pizza shop this branch doesn't care. Quality continues to degrade and their customer service is lackluster. No attention to orders being placed and only issues when requesting a refund for an order that was not completed successfully.

Pizza arrived folded, dipping sauce in the middle of pizza, cheese everywhere, except where it was supposed to be, it was a huge MESS!!! I don't know what happened to it on it's way to my house, was the delivery guy throwing the box around on the way??? After paying $5 delivery fee plus tip for the delivery guy, it's "a bit" upsetting.

I just ordered a pizza, there was a buy one get one free promotion. In the end, they only delivered one. It was very unpleasant.

SCAMMERS!! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Their system told me my pizza is “on the way” for 30 mins and the place is only 10 minutes away from me. I called the store my pizza is still waiting there to be picked up. When the driver arrived he told me he did not receive any of the tip.

Garbage service and rude staff. They took over 2 hours to get my order out. Instead I get a cold pizza with toppings Im allergic to when I ordered something without toppings. And if Im wrong, then they purposely gave the delivery guy the wrong order by ripping the name sticker off the box to cover their tracks. Ordered online and the system changed my crust when I added a topping. Pizza arrived with the wrong crust, barely had one topping, and was cut wrong. When I called, they admitted the mistake but said they were too busy and refused to fix it or offer a refund. Instead, they kept asking how many slices were left. Very disappointing service and no accountability by Justin.

Some of the worst customer service that I’ve ever experienced in a place after over an hour of waiting for a pizza that was never delivered, and I tried calling multiple times I had to walk to the store where they told me that it was delivered, which it wasn’t. If they had answered the phone any of the times that I tried to call they might’ve known that yet again customer service lacking. I wish I could give this place zero stars.

Crazy how different locations can very when it comes to quality. Asked for well done and it most certainly was not compared to any other papa John’s I have been too. The papadia is also the best thing they have, always a go to, and it was downright insulting the amount of product I got on mine from here. It was 80% bread. Will not be patronizing this location again.

I order two pizzas with extra cheese and when the delivery guy arrived the pizzas were burnt with no extra cheese. Luckily I pay and cash and was able to refuse those pizzas. Tip: always use the cash option to avoid being stuck with non eatable food. This location is awful and i wait 48 mins for pizza!! Now i have to find food elsewhere but at least Im not out of $25. Ordered pepperoni pizza but was delivered chicken, bacon, and onion pizza. When I talked to the employee, they blamed the delivery driver for taking the wrong pizza when the box had my order sticker on the outside and a sealed sticker one the top. Refused to replace with correct pizza because my location was outside the delivery area. I Understand mistakes happen but there was no attempt to make it right.

Disappointed Customer Experience at Papa John’s in Astoria I’ve given Papa John’s in Astoria multiple chances despite past mistakes, and this recent experience was the final straw. My pizza was left sitting out in the cold with no notification or app update. When I called to address the issue, I was not only met with unhelpful responses and also accused of misinputting my phone number—despite the fact that I’ve successfully received deliveries before. The person on the other line said they would refund my order and we’ll have to see if does get cancelled but will have to wait until next week. This lack of accountability and disregard for customer satisfaction is unacceptable. A reliable delivery system and courteous communication are basic expectations for any business, and it’s disappointing to see these standards repeatedly fall short. This is something their corporate level team should fix for their app as well as ensure there’s a way for the delivery is made timely. After numerous missteps, I won’t be ordering from this location again. If you value dependable service, I recommend looking elsewhere for your pizza night.

Just went there to order pizza. I ordered 14 inch the works and 6 wings, and they charged me 48 dollars, which is nonsense. After I got pizza I asked for receipt and after few minutes they gave me a receipt that has bunch of stuff that I didn't ordered. He kept saying nonsense even though pizza was right in front me and I could clearly see what I got. Also, the fact that he said he would only take cash because card reader is not working, and two other guest came right after me also payed in cash, I could tell he's been deliberatly over charging guest in cash so that he could take the difference. Worst experince.

Ordered 2 medium pizzas (regular crust). Extremely thin, dry, and hard as a rock. This has happened more than once at this location. Either not proofing the dough or stretching a small dough size out to a medium.

This place is the worse first off the cinnamon sticks was dry & old I bought them for the kids ! Then the guy was rude when I complained & told him we found a dead roach in the box ! Very inconsiderate unprofessional I bet he wouldn’t like it if he had the same experience! I ordered pizza and got no toppings on my pizza. I also asked for extra sauce and they gave me no sauce and I asked for square cut. I dont know who is working in your franchise store but they are doing a bad job in your store. Nobody is answering your phones. Hire people that want to work not lazy people.
