Tip: If you want to hang out, lunch may be your best bet due to the small size. For the best experience, order a whole pie instead of slices, and dine in.

They have great tasting, quality pizza! Huge slices. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Also the meatball sub was amazing. It comes out hot and fresh so don’t destroy your mouth. Definitely will order here again!
Excellent service. Great pie. Good specials. This place is doing an excellent job.
Ate here during my visit to Austin— wish I had pizza this delicious back home! The classic cheese was 5/5 stars. Plus, the best Caesar salad that I have ever had!
I got two slices of pizza to go and both were excellent. The staff member who helped me was friendly and got my food to me quickly. This is a good place to get some lunch to go if you work in the area and I will be a repeat customer due my initial experience with Favorite.
If it is the best pizza in town? I don‘t know, but it is a good pizza. The cheese pizza slice was wonderful and the Pizza slice with italian sausage was very spicy. We can recommend this restaurant.
Got to say, what a fantastic pizza. Highly recommended
Ordered a NY style cheese pizza. So fresh and good! Great crust and sauce.
Wow! The smallest pizza is 18". The pesto us awesome. A six inch sub is more like 8 and the staff is super nice! Room for about 15 people inside, but outdoor seating! Loved it, next time in Austin we'll go here earlier in our trip!!
Really great slice of pizza! NYC style. Great crust, sauce and cheese. Very surprised at how delicious it was. Great job Favorite!!!
I went here during my bachelorette trip month. I am still thinking about the pizza today. It is so delicious, friendly staff, and clean. I can't wait to go back with my now husband on our trip in two weeks.
This is some of the best pizza in town. I'm from the Northeast, and find most places here serve a dry crust. Their crust is was pretty spot on. Pricing is also really fair. Yum!
Jessica aka Jeka and staff gave us the best experience ever at Favorite Pizza. Ceasar Salad was absolutely delicious, Lemonade Icy was refreshing, and most important the Pizza was out of this world. Jeka was super attentive, very polite, and made our over all experience a pleasure. I highly recommend this joint for anyone who loves pizza and a great atmosphere. Will definitely be back for sure. DON'T SLEEP ON FAVORITE PIZZA!
I’m from Chicago and thank god a friend had this pizza delivered and I finally had some good pizza in Austin!!!! So happy, blows any other pizza place in Austin out of the water, best in town hands down. Delicious. Will order again tomorrow.
Always a solid slice. Quick and easy in a city that lacks good pizza.
$7 pint and slice, great pizza, great music. Loved it!
Every server and employee were extremely friendly and engaged with their customers. Even being a small place, there was a genuine, warm atmosphere! The Caesar salad, that they make is one of the best I have ever had. The consistency of their food is notch. I cannot say, nothing but good things in regards to this pizzeria.
Truly reminds me of pizzerias in NYC. Pizza is the best ny style slice in Austin, albeit a little too thin compared to my favorites back home(in NYC), but still awesome. The staff is always great! Super friendly. I even donated an autographed (not sure by who) Mets world series penant and they hung it up!
Great pizza, great people, great overall experience. Best pizza I have had in TX and will darw to compare it to New Haven and Yonkers pizza.
Genuinely, one of the best pizzas I ever had the sauce was amazing with such an amazing cheese and toppings. I would definitely come again when I'm nearby again.
this is gods greatest lunch spot. cheap food that doesn't skimp on its ingredients at all. specialty slices are always interesting. Staff is amazing and I love being a regular here.
I’m always on the hunt for good pizza. My friends know it’s either pizza or wings when I travel. I’m in Austin a lot but never saw favorite pizza. They were on the delivery list and one of the reviews said it tastes very similar to a pizza back in Pittsburgh called mineos. I’m always looking for pizza that taste like mineos. This comes as close as I have ever had. I got the New York style cheese pizza and that cheese blend is too good!!! It’s just like mineos!! If you love pizza I would definitely say try favorite pizza…I can’t wait til I come back to Austin because that’s the first meal when I get here!
Have come here a few times, and have never been disappointed. Simple yet delicious!
After work downtown I went on a little walk and found this pizza spot. I love the East coast vibes & atmosphere. I’ll be back to try a slice but I was craving meatballs. I ordered the baked rigatoni with Sammie’s meatballs & for a small place it did not disappoint!
A quick bite with a couple of old friends. Pizza was good, order a bug slice from the window, back into the oven for a few. Came out great. Bartender was attentive and sweet. Come to find out we all had a mutual friend in the Keys (love that about Austin). Will be back.
Growing up in Queens and native New Yorker for over 40 years. I was pleasantly surprised at having a cheese slice. You can taste both the quality and Italian flavor. The only negatives. The name of place warns people it isn’t Italian, an era easily correctable. The ribbons on pizza need to be decreased, perhaps a Strategy to save a few Pennie’s at the expense of customers getting a few less bites of Heaven.
As a Chef, I know this is SUPERIOR pizza!🍕 SUPER THIN Crust but CRISPY !!! Soham was WONDERFUL customer service and conversation. I LOVE how GROOVY this orange 🍊 in the bar is. Very nostalgic !! I will definitely be back and with friends. Follow me on Instagram 💛🦅 Chef Eagle @ChefLaurenE 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Amazing pizza with staff that is laid back and friendly! They served fresh, hot and delicious pizza to my family of 4 as we dined inside. The specialty pizzas are unique with reasonable prices. Skip the DoorDash on this one and dine-in for that hot and fresh quality. Seating is limited, but worth it for good pizza.
Very nice pizza 🍕 Quick, friendly, fresh, well assorted Me and my friend enjoyed to have lunch at this place We got 4 pizza slices, 2 doctor pepper and giant Cesar salad The bill was $41 with tips So it is a perfect bite on a budget The disco ball in the restroom got my heart Thank you Good luck
Best pizza in Austin. Staff was so kind , pizza so good and not an insane price. Storefront is so funky. 10/10
The slice of pizza was super good and my Mama loved her meatball sub. Our first bite while in Austin after checking into our hotel and we were not disappointed, thank you!!
Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. Ask for hot honey. Have the ranch. Live your life. Marry the pizza. 10/10 no notes.
Admittedly, I eat and drink at Favorite Pizza on a daily/weekly basis. Just ask Jess V. and, the GM! They are my “Favorites!” The pizza is delicious, the pizza menu changes are fun, and the atmosphere is hard to beat! (Oh, the Salad!!) When you walk in and the staff immediately welcomes you…there’s no other place in ATX like this! #FavoritePizza (Jess V. was so thoughtful and cut my pizza into baby slices b/c she knew I recently had surgery & couldn’t swallow well!) ❤️🙌🏼🍕
My favorite pepperoni pizza in the city. Love that it’s only 20 picks. Great to go pick up for a quick dinner or hang out with friends.
Walked in the door to be greeted by the smell of hot pizza and wood paneling decor. Felt like a stroll into the 80’s pizzeria of my childhood. Even better, photos of legendary members of the New York Mets adorned the walls to extend an even warmer welcome. The disco ball in the bathroom was the cherry on top; just an ideal spot for Lenny Dykstra and the rest of ‘86 Mets to do lines. Every detail was perfect and this is my new favorite bar of all time.
Great pizza!!! One of the best I have had in Austin. Also the vibe is cool.
On a walk through downtown on a chilly day we decided to stop by and I’m so glad we did! The pepperoni pizza was thin and crispy and the crust was crisp and browned. The sauce was perfect. I love the vibe of the place. I’ve had pizza from many places in Austin and this one stood out. As a pizza lover, I’ll be back!
Super fond of this pizza brand! I appreciate the fresh oregano that they use to flavor their pizza. It's very pleasing to my palate! I primarily only eat their cheese pizza, as it's a true measure of a pizza shop's skill. The gentleman was a little testy when I asked about the veggies on the unmarked veggie pizza, but it was SXSW, so I understand.
lol it’s a pretty corny name but it actually became my favorite pizza place in Austin lol. If you like NYC style this is your place. It could have been a little fresher but it is hella fire
Favorite Pizza is always my go-to for quick grab-and-go pizza. Solid NY style pizza, good energy, no fuss. Always a win. 🍕 Fun retro feel, cool aesthetic, and both indoor and outdoor seating depending on the mood or weather. It’s casual, comfortable, and a great spot to hang if you're eating in.
We stopped here before heading back home to Houston. This was our first time in Austin. This place has great service and brings that real NY feel! From the food, to the Mets decor inside, to the music. We tried their seasonal slice which had pesto and tomatoes. Taste great fresh out the oven. If you’re looking for a big slice for around 4-5 bucks this is your place. I believe they serve beers as well as soft drinks. They have a parking lot in the back, and they have outdoor seating as well. We ordered an extra slice of pepperoni for my wife to go.
AMAZING pizza. One of my favorite spots in Austin. I got pepperoni with ranch. It was warm, crisp and flavorful.
Not just legit NY pizza... The atmosphere is as NY slice shop as it is Austin cocktail bar. Go figure. And the chicken parm sub is awesome. The seseme roll is a choice, but the bread is fresh as is the cutlet. I love this joint.
The Caesar Salad steals the show here. “Really, at a pizza place, salad is the best thing?” Yes. The pizza is good, with some things they need to work on to perfect it. The dough is very nice- rivaling home slice for best NY style dough in town. The sauce is also nice. They cheese is good fresh, but is less desirable after the pizza has gone cold. The toppings are generally good, especially on their specialty pies. I recommend the Chin Music (sausage, peppers, hot honey, mozz) and the Dock Ellis (sautéed mushrooms, garlic, 4 cheeses, truffle oil). I’ve had WAY too much cheese added to both specialty and regular pies before - they’re a little inconsistent. OK I’ve buried the lede enough. The Caesar Salad at Favorite is magical. It will make you have feelings of joy and love and regret…when it’s gone. Yes, it is worth $14 or $18 for a regular or large. The Caesar dressing is creamy, rich, umami bliss. They add a homemade chili crisp for a hint of oil and spice. Some lemon juice adds acid and freshness. And the little gem lettuce has just the right balance of crunchy and soft. You will want to order this every time. Trust me. This is not the best pizza in Austin, but it could be close (to Home Slice) if it fixed some of its inconsistency issues.
I always enjoy finding and experiencing a new slice house. Favorite pizza comes highly recommended and it has all the Vibes of a classic Diner and pizza joint. A simple menu with delicious classic items and a changing menu of unique slices for dining in or taking out. I had a couple unique combinations including a spinach and squash nice crispy crust with the focus on Fresh delicious ingredients and toppings. Classic Slice and full of flavor. Highly recommend this spot when walking around Piedmont Park or the neighborhoods
First Time in Austin… and the Pizza Game Is Dough-roughly impressive🔥 Had to tap in with two pies on my first run in the city. 🍕 Sausage & Peppers — solid intro. 🍕 Pepperoni — PERFECTION. From the sauce 🍅 to the cheese 🧀 to the dough — it was straight-up symphony. 🎶👏🏾 Austin might’ve just earned a spot on the pizza map in my book. 📍 Favorite pizza has good reviews for a reason! Big bites, big flavor, big vibes. Would I double back? Absolutely. 😮💨 #AustinEats #PizzaLover #FoodieVibes #PepperoniPerfection #MrThenEats #FirstBiteMagic 🍕🧠🔥
Stopped in for a few slices for dinner. Had the pepperoni and a seasonal pizza which was a white sauce, pepperoni and pickled jalapeño. Both slices were amazing. Nice crispy crust, perfect amount of sauce. Also has a cool vibe inside and the workers were very friendly. Will definitely be coming back next time I’m in Austin.
Absolutely phenomenal place to stop in for a quick slice! The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and welcoming. It had a comfortably dated aesthetic and made it true to New York both in design and pizza. I got the slice and pint deal which was a steal! Friendly staff with great conversation and other local recommendations! I would highly recommend!
Austin’s Pizza Scene is improving! Had a quick slice here and the service is fast and quality. Loved the pepperoni slice as it was very NY style , greasy, and flavorful. The ranch on the side is a must!

Do yourself a favor and stop in for a slice and a Birra Moretti at the bar - legit the best Italian beer I've ever had and I can't seem to find it anywhere else!
Vintage feel without feeling like it’s going to fall apart. Great food and vibe. It’s teeny tiny so if you want to hang, lunch may be your best bet! We will for sure come back here! Such a great Austin find!
Probably the best NY style pizza is Austin. Pies are delicious, it's right on Sixth St across from the Kung Fu Saloon. Small lobby, but retro in the best way. The disco ball in the bathroom is SO extra it's -whimsical,lol. Have a slice you won't regret it.

The pizza is okay, there are some better options in austin for similar style pizza. The meatball sandwhich is excellent. Takeout orders tend to take a very long time.
Went here for the first time and we absolutely LOVED this pizza. We had the pepperoni and we custom ordered one with mushrooms and basil. Both pizzas were amazing. While we waited for our pizza to come out, a worker offered us a salad they made extra at no charge. It was their Italian salad, which had an excellent kind of cheese and it tasted very fresh. Will definitely visit again!!
Great thin New York pizza by slice or whole. Very thin, very crispy. Great cesar salad, great meat balls (very soft). Good overall, good service. Prices are ridiculously high but if you are willing tobspend almost $30 per person thenbthis is all right.
Some places nail atmosphere but the food is meh, some the opposite and every once in a while it’s spot on for both, Odd Duck or Little Deli for example. Favorite Pizza nails service and atmosphere, a blast from the past growing up in a small town in New York with a 1,000 pizza places, Pack Man and a slice and a coke for $1.00. We had slices, so need to try a whole fresh pie but we enjoyed the Italian sausage and the kale salad. Not the greatest pizza ever but very respectable. Should be in the debate though for one of the better pizza options in Austin. Just like it should be, quick, affordable, warm, friendly, good. What more could you want?
Big pizza slices, fast service, a bit pricey but one slice is usually enough to fill me up. This place has a true New York pizzeria look and feel with the baseball classics playing. The staff is nice and restrooms were decent. Good spot if you’re on 6th and need a quick but decent bite to eat.

Found this place driving by today by accident and wow a perfect pepperoni slice. Being from the east coast, NY style thin crust is my personal favourite and this place nailed it. Thin, airy, soft crust with a slight char. Maybe we got lucky because it was fresh out of the oven but it was great.

We’ve wanted to visit for a while now. We like this family of restaurants. Unfortunately the pizza was mediocre, service was not really a feature, and the space was much smaller and more cramped than it appears. We ordered a Piazza pizza. The crust is crispy and chewy but we didn’t think the pizza had a lot of flavor despite having a lot of ingredients. In our opinion it doesn’t hold up to places like Love Supreme or La Volta. The ranch can usually make or break the pizza - in this case their ranch dressing is pretty bland, so it was a let down. The Caesar salad was pretty good, though. The restaurant itself is very small. It was kind of awkward at first looking for a place to sit, since there weren’t any spots open. The restaurant is themed 70s/80s but the music was not matching the theme and there is virtually no interaction with staff. I thought it would be an old school atmosphere and fun, but it wasn’t at all. Our bill was over $70 for the pizza, a Caesar salad and two beers. They also ask for gratuity, which is odd because you order at the counter. This seemed like a pretty steep price for the experience. We did see a deal where you can order one of their non-specialty pies and get a pitcher of beer for like $29. If we did go back, we’d do that. We didn’t know that was even an option when ordering. The person taking our order did not engage with us at all other than to simply take the order. Overall, we would not go back. I would suggest trying somewhere in town actually known for its pizza and a good atmosphere.
Little frustrating that the prices on the menu on their own website are not the same as when you pay. Wrong topping on pizza, but I guess roasted garlic sounds a little like roasted peppers. Italian sub was decent.
The pizza used to be really good. The crust is now too hard and too thick. The sauce was way too sweet and the cheese was just ok. The Cesar salad was still good, but something seemed different. I’d go back for the Salad and not the pizza.
Been coming here since this place opened gotta say was kinda disappointed, when I ordered a go to of mine “the grand slam” and was so greasy it literally fell apart not to mention there was an entire garlic clove in the middle of the ingredients. I’ll def come back but someone is off in the kitchen.
Pizza was fine, service was bad. The by the slice didn’t taste very fresh. If I got again, just get for pickup and get a whole pie. Chicken parm sandwich tho was very good.
The foods amazing almost every single time. The employees are amazing and will do everything to make sure you’re having a good time. (Scott, Jess, Todd, Eric) There are though some higher up people who are TERRIBLE. Head Chef Nick has been taking advantage of his position and made many guest feel uncomfortable. Coming from the employee side of things he was one of the only guys to have a problem with me, once my girlfriend started to visit. When I first started working there he had no problem asking me to pour him secret shots of bourbon while my manager of the night was busy. As well as making sure his friends got a lot of free drinks and food. I truly believe his unprofessionalism and alcoholism is ruining the only truly amazing pizza spot on 6th. If you see the guy with the red Sammie’s hat, RUN RUN RUN and try another day. He is sure to ruin your day or food. My home Manager Eric was the BEST manager I’ve ever had and has handled all situations professionally. He has had to be the middle man in the constant war between the Sammie higher ups. If they just let him do his job There wouldn’t be so many problems.
so im from “chicago” and worked in pizza places for many years.. this place is garbage. whichever manager that was on shift when i came in was so demeaning and rude. to a customer! i couldnt understand why. especially in austin. why he was so mean. i expected better service 1. and 2. the pizza was pretty much air fried cardboard with sub tier ingredients and the chefsmanship of my baby cousin. good luck with yalls business for as long as it lasts because austin aint for the weak. even though they make it seem like it is. ✌️
The quality of their pizza really took a dive. It used be fresh and had good cheese. Now every time I go there the pizza has been sitting out forever and the cheese tastes old. Tastes like bad dirty 6th pizza now. Oh well.
My office ordered lunch and I went to pick up the pizzas. Confirmation email said to skip the line and come to the counter to let them know I was there for an online order. The only 2 people working today never made eye contact or acknowledged me. I had to stand in line and finally when I got to the register, they told me the pizzas weren't even ready. I could see that the one person was still making them after the other person asked if it was my order. I was told it would be another 10 minutes. No apology for the delay, no compensation, and not even a smile. Staff is rude and non-attentive to customers. At this point who cares what the pizza tastes like, customer service is horrible so we won't be back.
Subpar quality pizza and even worse customer service (especially from the skinny Hispanic balding guy).
Went on a Saturday night - they run it out of a small window in the side of the building. Process is a bit of a mess, they called other people before they called my order, despite me ordering the side slices. Man taking orders at the window seemed to care a lot more about the college aged women than me… not sure what that says. Pizza was doable, I wouldn’t recommend the pepperoni, it’s incredible greasy. Cheese was perfect.
Eh, $87 later for a luke warm Margherita, cheese, and pepperoni pizzas. Won’t be doing it again. Maybe dine in, if fresh but pickup pizzas to go were pretty garbage. Disappointed because we had friends over and were like it’s great pizza we’ve had it before and well, it was utter crap. Super disappointed.
I’ve ordered from Favorite Pizza twice now, and both times were a huge disappointment. Maybe their plain pepperoni is decent, but after trying three of their specialty pies, I’m convinced this place is all style, no substance. Every pizza I’ve had has tasted weirdly sweet, like someone sprinkled sugar on top. The ingredients clash hard and nothing feels balanced or thought out. And to top it all off, the pizza has shown up cold and borderline stale both times. For the premium price they charge, it’s honestly insulting. If I had sampled this before buying, I wouldn’t have touched it. I feel ripped off and low-key embarrassed I ate it. Austin has too many great pizza spots to waste time or money on this one.
I have to say, the pizza was pretty good—I'd give it a solid 8/10. The crust was perfectly crispy, good undercarriage, the cheese was gooey, ranch was great and the toppings were fresh. However, I have to give a two-star review because, let's be honest, a slice and a Coke should never come in over $10. Unfortunately, if a slice and coke come in over $10, it cant get over a 2 star. I didn't write the rules....
Ordered pickup to try their salad after hearing good things about it. Ordered it, arrived 5min after the promise by time, the employee told me it’ll be ready in 3min which turned into close to 10min, for a salad! The icing on the cake was them not including any dressing, all for $20. Big time rip off. Austin has so many good pizza options, would not recommend here.
Pizza is basically a thinner version of Sam’s pizza. If you like getting a pizza from Sam’s on your way out of buying bulk groceries this is right up your alley. I had a frozen Aperol spritz and it was refreshing but small. Make sure you bring small bills and change because they round up or down depending on your total and they don’t break large bills. This is only my experience from one visit so take it with a “grain of parm”

I ordered Favorite Pizza to celebrate a birthday in the family this past weekend and it sadly was a disappointment. This place used to be the closest to New York pizza I could get, but the pizza was completely different. The dough was off, making it very dry. The crust was thick whereas it was usually thinner. The sauce was almost bitter. I’m unsure if this was an off day, but it will be some time before I come back.

The sauce was almost bitter. I’m unsure if this was an off day, but it will be some time before I come back.
The food was good but this place isn’t worth going. Front house staff are rude and outright hostile.
So there's only three possibilities: 1. My standards are too high 2. I ordered on DoorDash and this restaurant hates DD 3. People in Austin lack taste buds and this place is awful This was cold, cardboard pizza that I had to aggressively rip with my teeth. It wasn't enjoyable at all. I could only eat two slices before giving up. What a waste of cash. You really do just have to make your own food these days...
This was the worst pizza I have ever had, honestly. The pizza was cold when we received it, burnt, barely any sauce, barely any cheese. Did not look as advertised. The worst part of it all is that the pizza was basically inedible. There's no reason I should eat pizza and it sounds like I'm eating potato chips because of how burnt and old the pizza is. That's exactly how it sounded eating this. We ordered 2 pizzas and after seeing (and HEARING) my pizza, my friend didn't even touch theirs. Terrible service and terrible food, but so expensive. (Over $50 for 2 pizzas) Requested a refund and received no response. Definitely do not recommend. I will be filing a formal complaint with the BBB.
Let me start by saying I LOVED this place. Beat Home Slice, Toss, etc etc in town for NY slices. Unfortunately one woeful Saturday night ruined this place for me. Dry old slices being sold that a slice off dirty 6th would have sadly beat. I saw another customers slice before ordering and asked for a whole pie in the hopes I would get the fresh pizza I have come to love. The worker said he would charge me by the slice rather than the pie which was $40. I am so disappointed and I hope the owners hold employees and food to higher standards. Update: Comment still stands, went downhill!
I stopped in to support this place. They have huge signs for any slice and pint $7. So I told the cashier I wanted to do the “slice and a pint deal” he rang it up and it’s $11. I ask why and he said the meanwhile pint isn’t covered in the deal. They only have 3 beers on draft (cream ale, lager and IPA). Paying $4 extra dollars for a beer that is only $1 more is pretty ridiculous. Pizza was okay but tasted like it had been reheated a few times to burned.
Don't fall for all the fake 5 star reviews like I did. This place is awful. From service to quality, how do you manage to mess up pizza???????
This was my go to pizza in Austin but it has gone so downhill, the quality of pizza is MUCH higher when you get a full pie as opposed to taking out slices. Took out a salad and slice, the slice was the driest, most burnt slice I may have ever had, zero flavor tasted like cardboard and the salad which used to be a favorite was completely different - used to have chickpeas, red onion and grated parm on top, tonight it had green olives, mozzarella balls, artichokes, tomatoes with no chickpeas or onion - just a completely new salad than the menu describes... what's going on?

Do not get delivery. We ordered the 7train and it looked nothing like the pictures. Three inches crust and one little slice of cheese on the entire pizza. Was not cooked all the way. Zero flavor. I don’t know how this place gets good reviews outside of drinks on sixth street.
