Best-kept secret in Austin when it comes to kolaches! Huge variety of breakfast and lunch kolaches, and they also sell breakfast tacos. They serve hot coffee and iced coffee in addition to a refrigerator full of other cold beverages. Try the pan-fried sausage, egg and cheese kolache! The Ranchera is also very good--it's basically migas in a kolache.

The Kolaches are super delicious and the staff is nice, friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable. Great place to pick up breakfast.

Their fruit kolaches tastes almost like Czech ones. Poppy seed kolaches have the same taste like I am used to from Czech Republic

Addicted. When I bite into my gravy sausage kolache, I'm reminded of home. Home, where my mother would make breakfast on the weekends while my dad slept off the hang over. Home, where I would fight with my siblings over the TV in the morning. Potpourri dishes expiring left and right. Scooting around in my socks. Love it. Just like I love these kolaches.

I love this place, I am always on a search for great kolaches are Texas and I have traveled to different places but this one is a great place and close to home. I actually pass Kolache Factory on the way to Lone Star and it's worth it. Their bread is so tasty and fluffy, they have an INSANE variety of items to choose from. Normally I only like the traditional ones, but they hit some of the odd ball ones out of the park. The pan sausage is delicious! I wish the cinnamon rolls were the gooey kind, but that's really the only downfall here. Everything here is great, I can't ever leave with just one or two, I always end up buying way too many because I want to try them all. 4/15/15 The pan sausage kolaches have been lacking lately, they are well over done and the dough is too hard now.

This place has some petty solid kolaches. My favorites are the patty popper, ranchero, polish hot with cheese, and the ham and swiss. Prices aren't too bad either. I haven't tried the traditional kolaches yet, but I will soon.

Any of you who are giving this place less than 5 stars have your metrics out of wack. I go hear nearly once a week. Through the quarantine times this was one of the few places I would go at all because of how seriously they took everything. The place is always clean and the staff is always quick and polite. They have a fairly large selection of savory klobasnek, and a nice range of fruit kolaches. If you are looking for a Michelin star what the hell are you doing here in the first place? 10 out of 10 snausages! Will nom again

Wow is this place great!!! Their kolaches are awesome but get there early or the best ones will be gone. It's always kolache Sunday in this house. YUMMY. Savory or sweet each one is a treat.

I get kolaches from here all the time. I work pretty early, and they open at 5:30 so it is very convenient. The staff is helpful and friendly. Not to mention, their kolaches are DELICIOUS.

In my opinion the best place to get kolaches! I have lived all around Texas and found this to be the best kolache I could find anywhere. They have a great selection of danishes and kolaches that make me drool every time I go in.

i had a blueberry and a raspberry kolache and they were DELICIOUS ! i also really like that they stay open later than most donut shops so that if i oversleep, i still can get my sweet pastry fix :)

I just love my Lonestar Kolaches location on Parmer at Metric. I am a regular and always select the Ranchero Kolache. Amazing! And grab some salsa to go with it. Any other types I try are equally great! Lucy is so sweet and acknowledges me by name, and vice versa (if that tells you what a real regular I am...ha). This location has great products, always fresh made and heated just right if you wish, clean and nice restrooms. I am soooo thankful that this Lonestar Kolaches, my fav, is just up the road. I have to detour from my route to work, but it's totally worth it! Thanks, Lucy, you are the BEST!!

In fact my daughter who is a very picky eater enjoys their bacon and cheese kolache without fail. I recommend "the chubby". The other thing I would say is if you're going to eat right away, make sure to have them warm it up beforehand.

We absolutely love this place. We live 60 miles away, but when we are in Austin, we make it a point to visit Lone Star Kolaches. We love their spinach and cheese kolache and their others with ham, egg, and cheese.of course they many other varieties to pick from. The taste is out of this world. You will be glad that you stopped by!

They have many different types of delicious kolaches, from apricot to jalapeño and ham, and they will heat them up for you. Plus, they are really quick; you never have to wait a long time. They also sell day-old kolaches for half price, but these are gone almost right away. You can get milk or oj or coffee and eat your kolache there, too.

not a native texan here... kolaches aren't that tasty. don't come here looking for doughnuts. the kolaches here... imagine a dinner roll with a hole on top filled with donut jelly... donut jelly tastes like it belongs in a doughnut more than a dinner roll. otherwise, this must be what the texas kolache craze is about.

I gave 3 stars because the staff was nice, their variety and the low price. However I purchased a sausage kolache and was disappointed by the size of the sausage. The bread was very good but it needs more filling.

Been going here for almost 2 years now. Quality has been steadily declining. To a point where I'm receiving cold food, and paying more for it. I just don't think the tiny kolache is worth the premium anymore. I'll be looking for a new breakfast place.

Understaffed. No one at counter for a good 5 min. Also DON'T get any of the chicken kolaches. They have virtually no chicken in them. Only get them if you want a roll with a crap ton of cheese and only cheese in it. I've been told the other ones are good, though.

Found roach leg in the food

Had a sausage and egg kolache and it was very bland! It's one thing to not season the eggs but the sausage might as well have been unseasoned ground beef! Cinnamon in the cinnamon roll was really just a rumor for cinnamon! Just bread and icing! Nice people working there though!

Meh! Since the Czech stop is so far away, I thought I’d check this place out . I was very disappointed :/ The bread was dry and not soft. The cream cheese , lumpy and more savory than sweet . The chocolate kolache , seemed as if they poured Hershey’s syrup on top. Mediocre at best.

The past few times I've gone to this location at parmer and Amherst I have arrived between 5:40 am to 5:45 am. Considering the hours of operation on the doors say 5:30 am along with the website. I would imagine 10-15 mins longer they would be open. I'm done taking my business to this location. I'll spend the extra 20-25 mins in traffic to go to the bee cave location.

The lady at the cash register called me a pinche verga during my order. Also the potato egg cheese rolls are gross, but then again they cook eggs and leave them sitting on a counter until someone orders, then microwave them. Not sure who thought that was a good idea. If you want to get cursed at in Spanish this is the place

They closed early. I understand people want to go home but when the hours say 530am to 230pm. One would expect them to be open till 230pm not 2pm

I got hard core food poisoning from the Palmer location. I ended up having go to urgent care and get hooked up to an IV. I had the Ranchero and a basic sausage one. I could not even eat the sausage one because the sausage inside was obviously a few days old. I know a guy that did some contract work for the woman who owns the franchise. Apparently she is very cheap, and I wouldn't be surprised if those things stayed on the shelf until they're sold, or that if one falls on the floor, they brush it off and stick it back. I lost two days of work because of her poisoned food. I feel as though she owes me. And I will definitely be going to the local news and reporting it to health inspection

Just witnessed someone take a large order over the phone. During, she dropped a kolache on the ground. She picked it up and placed it on the side. But as they kept on ordering she placed the "dropped" one in the box and closed it. If this happens in the front imagine what happens in the back. I used to love this place, came here often.

It might have been a fluke, but I won’t be coming back to this location any time soon.

The cashier told my mom how dare she order so much it’s gonna lose her customers. To that I say you were never planning on having customers if 2 -3 dozen of assorted items would wipe you out. Also maybe don’t sell by the dozen if you can’t produce the dozen. Do better business. We will no longer come to this establishment out of your concern of wiping you out.
