Lone Star Kolaches

We tried this spot on our way out of town, and the nice woman that worked there was holding it! Her service was efficient and polite, despite being busy. We got several sausage kolaches, one raspberry danish, and a bean and cheese kolache. All delicious and perfect for something filling and somewhat light for breakfast. Very fairly priced as well, must come visit!

Let down by a nearby donut plac, I drove here next. Oh this place knows their stuff. Best fruit kolaches I've ever had. Put bucees to shame. First time trying a ham and Swiss kolache. The ham was like ground up. I liked that about it. So good. So fresh tasting and soft. I bet these are all much more amazing eaten straight out the oven. Definitely recommend this place.

Absolutely love this place for breakfast kolaches. No one makes them like they do, and Lucy and they whole staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. I would go every day if I could, absolutely love the chicken quesadilla and ranchero ones

I just love my Lonestar Kolaches location on Parmer at Metric. I am a regular and always select the Ranchero Kolache. Amazing! And grab some salsa to go with it. Any other types I try are equally great! Lucy is so sweet and acknowledges me by name, and vice versa (if that tells you what a real regular I am...ha). This location has great products, always fresh made and heated just right if you wish, clean and nice restrooms. I am soooo thankful that this Lonestar Kolaches, my fav, is just up the road. I have to detour from my route to work, but it's totally worth it! Thanks, Lucy, you are the BEST!!

Large variety. So good!!! I loved the spinach and cheese. Son loved the Ranchero. Of course breakfast kolaches are always good or just our bog standard, sausage, cheese and jalapeños. We ran across this place while running errands in Austin, then found there's one in Round Rock near son's work and one in Georgetown, not toooo far from our house outside of Jarrell.

I love this place. I always try something different and I've never been disappointed. I've let a lot if friends and family try these when they come visit and everyone loves them. They have a huge selection, and some gourmet kolaches as well as the classics you know and love. The croissant sandwiches are my favorite.

We absolutely love this place. We live 60 miles away, but when we are in Austin, we make it a point to visit Lone Star Kolaches. We love their spinach and cheese kolache and their others with ham, egg, and cheese.of course they many other varieties to pick from. The taste is out of this world. You will be glad that you stopped by!

I am loving this place, it seems pretty affordable and they have a fantastic selection, and I've yet to taste anything that isn't delicious. In fact my daughter who is a very picky eater enjoys their bacon and cheese kolache without fail. I recommend "the chubby". The other thing I would say is if you're going to eat right away, make sure to have them warm it up beforehand.

Their prices are a little lower than their competitors and their food is a little better. I come here with my one year old at least once a week. While he's not particularly picky when it comes to food, he loves this place. There's a fairly wide selection of breakfast pastries, and tacos if you don't want all that bread in the morning. The staff isn't extremely nice, but they warmed up to us after we had been coming in for a few months. They also have a pretty wide selection of coffee drinks, but it's no Starbucks.

This was my first experience with kolaches. I was told kolaches in general are an Austin thing and a must try. I thought it was kinda like other pastries but still good. Would try again but also don't think I would specifically crave them.

The kolaches also weren't good; will be going to Shipley's in the future (as they have very good ones and are across the street. I thought I'd give another biz a try). Disappointed!

Meh! Since the Czech stop is so far away, I thought I’d check this place out . I was very disappointed :/ The bread was dry and not soft. The cream cheese , lumpy and more savory than sweet . The chocolate kolache , seemed as if they poured Hershey’s syrup on top. Mediocre at best.

Went here for the first time this morning around 8:00am and half way into my kolache I found a bug/SPIDER in my EGG, ham and cheese croissant. Threw the rest away. I’ve been to other Lonestar Kolaches in Austin and they’ve been great!!! Not sure what happen but PLEASE clean your skillets, etc before you cook in them! It might have been a fluke, but I won’t be coming back to this location any time soon.

Went here for the first time this morning around 8:00am and half way into my kolache I found a bug/SPIDER in my EGG, ham and cheese croissant. Threw the rest away. I’ve been to other Lonestar Kolaches in Austin and they’ve been great!!! Not sure what happen but PLEASE clean your skillets, etc before you cook in them! It might have been a fluke, but I won’t be coming back to this location any time soon.

My husband comes in pretty regularly and we buy kolaches for 10 of us for game days on weekends. One day I had family in town and my husband told my mother if she could pick up a couple of dozen kolaches. When she got the cashier was very rude. The cashier told my mom how dare she order so much it’s gonna lose her customers. To that I say you were never planning on having customers if 2 -3 dozen of assorted items would wipe you out. Also maybe don’t sell by the dozen if you can’t produce the dozen. Do better business. We will no longer come to this establishment out of your concern of wiping you out.

Drove 20 minutes to get kolaches and the door is locked. It's 1:35, open sign is lit up, and hours on the door say they close at 2:30. What a waste of time.
