Great location for a nice dinner. It felt upscale. The drinks were strong and good. The cuisine was different than your traditional Mexican restaurant meals. This place adds its own yummy twist and flavors. Good size servings. Great for date night.

Asadas grill is pure magical deliciousness. Food was perfectly cooked, and you can taste all the inspirations the food comes from. One thing I'm very picky about is nailing traditional flavors, and they nailed it. It is one of the best Mexican Martinis I have had in a long time. So nice to be in a restaurant with knowledgeable staff and very friendly and welcoming. I can't wait to go back again.

Just do it and go.. you won’t regret it. The staff is super friendly and nice, place very well kept and food was super delicious. Menu is somewhat big but I’m sure it’s all delicious judging from the one plate I had for lunch. Great decor on the inside and very comfortably laid out so you don’t feel like your packed in like a can of sardines.

I experienced one of the most satisfying experiences in this establishment. To begin the staff was top of the line as well as being greeted by the owner was a pleasure. I had a fantastic dinner at Asadas Grill — we started with their Queso Con Carne and Grilled Panela (Panela Asada), and then I had the Beef Fajitas while my friend went for the Shrimp Tacos. The fajitas came sizzling with grilled peppers and tender steak, and the shrimp tacos had just the right amount of crisp and sauce. Their All You Can Eat Lado Bar was a fun bonus — great for sampling sides, salsas, and dessert. The staff were warm and helpful, and the ambiance was lively but comfortable — good for date night or a night out with friends. I’ll definitely be back to try their Pulpo al Ajillo or Mole Enchiladas next time.

Me and my cousins ate here for the first time and loved the atmosphere and food. I tried a little bit of everything and what I can say is the fajita steak is awesome. For my nachos I wish it had a little more cheese for all the chips I had. My margaritas were bomb with a Grand Marnier floater, I was feeling good. I tried my cousins ceviche and it was good but felt like it needed more seasoning or lime, the fish was pretty good in it. There was also a good Mexican band playing on the patio and the patio was amazing. Our waiter Brian was awesome and I really enjoyed the experience here. This place is beautiful and the prices were good, we definitely feel we found a gem.

I remember when this restaurant was built Buy a business owner from New Zealand. When it changed over to Asada‘s, my first thought was great, all we need is another Mexican restaurant. This place is different. There’s an upscale vibe with a casual atmosphere and absolutely amazing food. The margaritas are top-notch too! I picked up chicken and beef fajitas last night and a couple margaritas to go. My boyfriend is the. And I’ll be all critic of food, and he could not stop telling me how good Everything was. I also appreciated how everything was packaged. Very simply, and in one bag. Not a lot of fuss. I highly recommend this place and we will of course be back.

I went to Asadas after work on Thursday and let me tell you those skillet nachos are worth every penny. Our waitress was very attentive and took great care of us even with a busy house. The establishment was clean as always and I can’t wait to go next Thursday after work AGAIN.

Our second visit, and I really like the food and people here. The food is not Tex -Mex, is that's what you're looking for. It's more of a traditional central Mexico to coastal Mexico cuisine. Definitely more towards my liking of Mexican style foods. This time I had the Chamorro. A pork shank, slow cooked in chileajo sauce. Tender, and delicious. The mezcal cocktail I had was the "La Tunita", which was unique and tasty. The wait staff were wonderful. We'll be back. Thank you

To start off with the most important thing the parking it's free there's lots of street lights around it and they're wheelchair accessible with double doors at the front ramp. Free parking beats everything, or at least downtown. All of the dishes come with the salad/fruit/soup bar at the front. There's lots of dessert choices there to choose from also. It looks like all the dishes are between 15 and $50, same as downtown, per person. I recommend coming for happy hour, even on a Friday, because it beats any other place I would go to in the the evening for happy hour. Our server Jesus did a great job explaining the menu to us being super friendly, very positive and on the ball with everything we could need. They are pet friendly on the patio in the back corner so I would say arrive early if you're bringing your pet for a happy hour or a weekend brunch. the next time I come, it's going to be for brunch on the weekend. I can't wait to bring my friends here for dinner or a sports game, they have about five TV screens all around the place. I feel like this is a hidden gem off of Palmer Lane.

I have found my new fav spot in Austin!!! The lengua and pastor tacos are phenomenal! I also visited the salad bar because y’all know I love a good salad bar! Had a few margaritas, of course! My friend and I came here after our work out and the food was pretty good. The items are a bit on the pricer side, but the service was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place for a company outing or a date where you're trying to impress them a semi-formal atmosphere. Definitely a celebration type of restaurant. Adriana was our server tonight and she made the experience personal and really enjoyed her recommendations for food.

Tried this place for dinner tonight as we were really craving good Mexican food and we were so happy to have found this place. The perfect place to take your family for a celebratory dinner, date, birthday party etc. the place looks grand and really beautiful. Our servers name was Anthony and he did an amazing service. He helped us with choosing food, recommended dishes for me as I am a vegetarian. Very friendly and funny. After we ordered some lemonade and sweet tea they brought us some chips and salsa. They provide each person with a small plate of chis and salsa. I found that very interesting. The salsas were very good. They have clearly labeled dishes for vegetarians and around 4 to 5 choices. They are also very accommodating with substitutions. I ordered the Tricolor cheese enchiladas with some onions and peppers. It comes with a side of rice and beans. My husband had chicken fajitas and he said they were very good. It’s been a really long time since we had such amazing Mexican food.

Tonight, I came in freshly new to the neighborhood. This spot is 5 minutes from home, and recommended by my landlord. As a GM at a busy seafood restaurant, I must say the service was mediocre for the 1st half, but then exceptional for the last. The manager Angel, came up to see how everything was tasting. We asked him to explain their fancy salad bar, and it was brought to our attention it’s available with any entree until 8 pm tonight. Well, at this point we ordered and it was 8:10. He so generously, went to the back to grab us some fruit and cheese upon request and really went above and beyond. Thank you! I will be back. We had never been to this restaurant before yesterday. We will ABSOLUTELY return. Our waitress was Adriana. She was so kind, patient, and extremely easy to talk with. I hope we see her again! There is absolutely something for everyone there. I'm sort of a finicky eater and my husband was concerned that I wouldn't eat. NO ISSUES. It was delicious! Our daughter ordered the steak fajita. A word? That is enough for TWO people. It's a LOT of food. Had we known, she and I would have shared it. We had to bring it home. My husband ordered the barbacoa. We had the arrachera and the 18 oz ribeye at Asadas Grill. The arrachera was perfectly marinated, tender, and packed with authentic smoky flavor. You can truly tell they use high-quality meat. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the service — it was exceptional from start to finish. The staff was welcoming the moment we walked in, attentive without being overbearing, and constantly checking to make sure everything was perfect. They were knowledgeable about the menu, made great recommendations, and made us feel genuinely valued as customers. It’s rare to find service that feels that personal and professional at the same time. The food was amazing, but the level of hospitality that we got from Hector, Celia and Brain is what will keep us coming back. They gave me in depth descriptions of all their foods and recommendations and were very open about what ingredients go into the foods. Upon entry I spoke to who I believe was the manager who briefed me on their brunch buffet (which looked delicious) but I ended up committing to my tacos and didn’t regret it one bit! I’d fly across the country again just to come back here it’s that good!

Absolutely amazing!! This is the best food I have ever had. We are from Oklahoma and it puts Oklahoma mexican restaurants to shame. Our waiter was Franco, they were fantastic! They were awesome! Polo is incredibly friendly and since we are new to the area they gave us a bunch of recommendations of things to do, which we greatly appreciate! Franco, from our previous visit, was there as well and they remembered us and stopped by to say hi and chat! I just cannot say enough about how great the staff is and how wonderful of an experience they make it for us each time! The food was again fantastic! We of course got the chips and queso, and this time we got the tampiquena, at Francos previous recommendation. So delicious! We forgot to take photos this time bc the food is just too good to wait. Overall just another great experience thanks to Polo and Franco!

Just took a random shot today trying a new place and I’m so glad I did. As I walked in I was immediately made to feel so welcome by the hostess and the manager Hector. Hector clearly took a lot of pride in his menu and his crew. Everyone else I dealt with there was happy and friendly. That kind of spirit starts at the top. I had some intriguing prospects on the menu but I was there for lunch so I wanted to keep it light…er and quick. I had the al pastor tacos and they were served up fast and cooked to perfection. First time at this restaurant. We were just looking for any place close, as we were starving. The menu is unique. We opted for 3 appetizers and splitting them. So yummy and fresh. Our service was slow despite it was around 2pm and the place was dead. Had maybe 6 tables sat. We live far from this area, but would come back. Had a great atmosphere and vibe. They were also offering brunch buffet, looked so good but we chose to order off menu.

Good options for non veg. Vegetarian specific items are less. They can do fatijas and veg tacos. But, veggies are not grilled. If Vegetarian tacos and fajitas are with grilled veggies, they would have been better.

This is one of the closest Tex Mex places to our house and we never tried it until now…and an hour before they closed! 🫢 Honestly we know not to expect the same level of service and food quality compared to when the restaurant is open during the day but we were shocked at how accommodating and yummy the food was. The elote appetizer (not pictured) and street tacos were extra fire 🔥We didn’t really like the drinks (tasted like too much sweet and sour mix) but other than that had a pretty darn good experience for how close to closing they were, and we’d come back just for the apps and street tacos!!

Service was great. No complaints there Though the food was a bit of a disappointment. There was too much salt add to ceviche juice. The Esquites the charred corn and cojito cheese. The base of the dish sans the accoutrements is the same thing that was in the salad bar. And the hot skillet ending cooking my med rare steak to med well to well done steak.

Nice staff. It did seem a bit disorganized. We arrived around 5:30p. We were told that entrees come with the salad bar but there were no serving utensils. They weren't provided until after we were done with our entree and we're ready to leave.

Mole and guacamole was good. Salad bar was good. Water is served in a tiny glass. I asked for a larger one but was told that it was the only one they use.

Friday dinner, 9PM. We sat inside because the live music outside on the patio was too loud to speak. Beef fajitas were really good; margs were typical. Service was friendly, but slow. Prices were expensive for Mexican. Overall not bad, but not impressed, so B grade.

This place is pretty rad. Super awesome snack, soup and salad bar. Staff were really nice. Got 4 stars because my wife didn’t like her dish but everyone else really liked everything including myself. We’re definitely going back and I will upgrade to 5 stars if everything goes well. I do recommend everyone try this place… The menus is unique and worth the try.

Came down from San Antonio to explorer Austin a d on our way wife wanted Mexican. Stumbled on Asado when we made a wrong turn and decided to give it a try. Enjoyed the food and the drinks!

The nachos were amazing. The waiter very nice. The ribeyes were so tough I couldn't eat them. They did not charge me for them. They are $36 each. I was really disappointed. The manager was really nice and was very apologetic. I'll will return to give them another chance. Then I will update my review.

We are are very excited about this restaurant in our area. Let me begin by saying the food was good. I ordered the burrito and it has great!! My daughter got chicken fajitas that were a little on the dry side. I ordered a Mexican Martini that was delicious! I would say all and all the food was good. Service was really slow.. we sat in the patio and I think we were forgotten. I'm hoping with time all the things we weren't happy with will improve. We will give them another chance soon.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5 This was my first visit to Asadas, and I was genuinely excited to try it out—especially because I’m intentional about supporting minority-owned businesses. The drinks were outstanding and the ambiance truly set the tone for a great evening—easily the best part of the experience. I also appreciated the warm welcome and the energy of the space. However, there were a few concerns during our visit that I hope will be addressed. I ordered the chicken fajitas, which were just okay—not bad, but not particularly memorable. While visiting the salad bar, I witnessed a young child licking the tongs for the peaches. I gently intervened and handed the utensils to a server. Unfortunately, what was more disappointing was the lack of follow-up or visible concern from the staff. Situations like this highlight the importance of having clear guidelines for children at self-serve stations and more proactive communication from management. Additionally, our server was wearing Meta glasses and only informed us they were recording after greeting the table. While I understand the integration of new technology, recording guests without prior consent—especially during a private dining experience—felt invasive and uncomfortable. I also encountered an issue completing the survey on the payment device; it didn’t allow me to properly submit my feedback, which was frustrating given that I wanted to share my thoughts constructively. I may return in the future for chips, salsa, and drinks because the vibe and cocktails were excellent—but my overall experience left room for improvement. I truly want to see Asadas thrive and hope management takes these observations as a helpful opportunity to enhance guest experience.

Ashlyn was an amazing server. She did a great job despite not having enough servers and the bartenders dropping the ball on the drinks. The manager did compensate.

Food was good, but the service was almost nonexistent. The portion size compared to the price was way off, small portions but big price. The ambiance feels like they want to be a fine dining restaurant, but it come across as trying too hard and missing the mark.

We went here for a weekday lunch and we were surprised to see that the entire restaurant was empty. We went as a party of 16 people and we were seated after ten minutes. Our food took forever to arrive though we were served complimentary chips and salsa. The salsas were very flavorful. Some people’s food came in early and some people ( one who ordered shrimp taco ) had to wait about 30 mins for his food. I ordered the veggie enchilada and it was okay. The sauce was too tangy for my liking. I asked for no rice but got some anyways with my beans! Some people asked for flour tortillas but got corn anyways. I totally understand that mistakes happen in a big crowd but considering that the restaurant was almost empty and the food took forever to come, these mistakes left a sour taste. We will prolly come back for the food but do not recommend this place for a big team lunch!

I went here with a friend and I liked the food fine. I ordered the Huachinango Zarandeado - Red snapper Filet covered on a guajillo sauce, Mayo chipotle, roasted corn, and arugula. It was very tasty. My friend got the shrimp dish, Camarones - Served with White rice, Green salad, and Roasted onion. We had queso as an appetizer, but we had to wait awhile after asking for more chips. They only bring out a small serving of chips initially. By small, I mean like 10-12 chips. My friend reminded the waiter about the chips as our queso was getting cold. We also ordered Happy Hour Margaritas. My friend inquired if there was an additional charge if we got flavored margaritas. Our waiter told us no, but later, after leaving the restaurant, my friend noticed there was a $2 per drink upcharge. It would've been nice to have been told that initially. And, if the waiter wasn't sure about it, he should've asked the manager. Another charge we weren't told about was that there was a 3% charge for using a card. Also, our waiter mentioned after the fact that we get a trip to the salad bar included with our meals. We wish he would've mentioned that before we ordered the appetizer. We had two desserts, Pan De Elote and Tres Leches, which we shared. The desserts tasted good, but the Pan De Elote was rather dense, I thought it'd be a softer consistency. Now, for some positives, I did like the atmosphere of the restaurant. Everything was clean, and the décor was really nice and vibrant. We ate inside, but there is a nice outdoor patio area that is dog-friendly. We saw a couple of people with dogs dining outside. I would potentially come back for that reason alone, because I like taking my dog places with me. However, if I do come back, I'd be sure to bring cash so as not to have additional charges. So, I'd say, if you want to try this place, come for the atmosphere and they do have a nice happy hour selection. But, be aware of potential additional charges.

The service was terrible! It has changed a lot since it first opened. There is a larger menu, but the food was just meh. Definitely nothing to write home about. I had to wait about 30 minutes for a drink and about 20 minutes for our check. It took so long that I told my fiancé to just hand him the card because I was tired of waiting. This place is just another lame Austin resteraunt that charges too much, looks cute in photos but doesnt deliver in any other regard. Asadas had great service, great ambiance, and a great location. Indoor and outdoor seating available and a variety of table sizes. I had been wanting to visit this place for months and when i finally found the time i wanted so badly to like them. But i didnt. Their non alcoholic drink menu is extremely sparse and the lemonade i got was not up to the standard that i hold mexican resteraunts to. The food portions were insanely small and most of the meals, on top of having a miniscule entree, did not come with sides at all. The foods flavor was bland, there was nothing really particularly enjoyable about the meal except that is was very prettily presented. The service was nice and the style was cute but thats not enough to make me want to come back.

This is my 3rd time and service has been subpar, but tonight service was worsen and food was mediocre. Well, they gave me three plates for each item of the meal, (it was to go order), and I don’t mind is just that having everything in one plate 🍽️ is easier to just eat, I ordered French fries with the meal and I got fried plantain 🍌, I ordered for a well done steak as well and it was not well done, it literally was crude. Overall I didn’t enjoy or even eat the meal, that steak was so raw and disgusting it just took my hungriness away. Also, no tortillas at all and they don’t even ask you if you want any. I do not recommend this place AT ALL.

Been coming to this place for about 5 years or so. And a lot has changed since then. They used to have an amazing salad bar with fresh salads of Mexican heritage and traditional ingredients.. it’s now GONE! they used to have an extensive 4 page menu (kind of scary for restaurants, due to quality of each dish with such many options) BUT!! they refined it.. and guess what! All the GOOD STUFF IS GONE! Sadly.. I used to love coming here for dinner with the wife, or even just a quick lunch during the work week, and maybe even sometimes come spend a few hours and get sauced at the bar!! … I went a few days ago.. it’s just all bad! All the way bad!! They shrunk the menu! By a lot! And that’s good! But they changed what items they did keep. I used to order a Mexican burger, or even the enchiladas, or a seafood dish.. everything has been minimized to where there’s really nothing special there… I went ahead and ordered a “torta ahogadas” it was $18!!! No sides. It was of pork! It was the most vile thing I’ve ever tasted. The meat doesn’t taste quality, it lacks flavor of any kind! Tasted really bland and old to be honest. But the kicker is that it took almost 30 minutes for it to come out. And it was DEAD on a Wednesday afternoon 12:00pm .. The service has just gone really down hill. Not sure if it’s ownership, or management. But it’s clearly evident that this place is very much a tourist trap! So many other spots to really enjoy your time, with great service, astronomical delicious flavors and options on the menu for a great price! And most importantly! THE BARTENDER THERE is gone! Probably one of the best cocktail makers I’ve ever encountered.. For further context about this review, about 2 years ago I took my wife to have dinner. The service was sketchy at that time, and a lot of noticeable changes started to take place. Off the 4 page menu. I literally ordered 3 different things that they came back and told me they didn’t have anymore of… the. The one dish my lady was able to order because they were able to make it with all ingredients, guess what… they brought her the wrong plate… needless to say that night we left without eating, I didn’t pay for the drinks we ordered due to their inability manage or maintain customers. The chef comes out and gives us two free meal hand written business cards for the situation… and due to that I never left a review.. we also never returned for the “free meals” since we figured if they couldn’t get 4 dishes that we ordered while we were willing to pay them made. Then we definitely do NOT WANT TO TEST THE WATERS on whatever they serve for free.. Fast forward 2 years. And I have no other choice but to leave this review in the hopes that others are able to avoid a huge dissatisfaction and disappointment. Overall. I rate the quality of restaurant a 1 star. The quality of service a 2 star, the food is a zero star, qualities of meats, flavors of food, freshness of products. All failed for me. This place reeks of a tourist trap! How they serve me the torta all fancy and stuff! Nah man. Yall have lost the plot here!!! Mexican food is supposed to be simple and affordable.. if you want to make it fancy and add all the extra food science behind it. Fine do it. But have integrity doing it. Don’t just sacrifice your products and freshness and still start overcharging because you added a few thinly sliced radishes and some green foliage. Anyways just my take on my experiences here the last serval years. There’s food trucks within 3 miles of this place that will serve you a QUALITY TORTA for a reasonable price! Loaded with flavor! “I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this place earned it. This wasn’t just a bad meal—it was a full-blown culinary scam. Yeah, I’ll admit it: the presentation looked decent. The food tasted like nothing was seasoned right, the textures were off, and everything was either bland or overcooked. Everyone at our table of five left disappointed and still hungry. And to top it off, they had the nerve to slap a 20%(but the other half of my party was charged a 35%) (big party we were 5)automatic tip on the bill. For what? Bad service and worse food? That’s insane. I’m all for tipping when it’s deserved, but this was a joke. Never again.”
