They had a great selection of food which was flavourful and the quantity was also more than enough. The mixed grill could easily be shared among 2 people. Their bullet naan was good but was hoping for it to be much hotter. But their grill and palak paneer made up for what the naan was lackto food

i visited zaviya last Wednesday the food was soo soo good and talking about the service it was so fascinating and heartwarming and also the staff were really sweet to customers

We tried their buffet. The collection was very limited. They nailed the classic statement that quality is better than quantity. I wouldn't say it was a must-try however the food was adequate. South Asians will appreciate this place. Yes, white Americans can also find delight in it. It wasn't very spicy; the flavors blended well together. The environment is family-friendly. adored it

Went here for iftar on a Monday and the place was packed. Still managed to get one table. The food is really good. They keep refilling the dishes with hot food quickly as they get over. Every item on the buffet was fantastic. However, the need for customer service is highly desired. The person handling the phone and cash counter needs a lot of training. And I mean A LOT. Either that or get a designated person. This one couldn't understand half the things I was saying or asking - both in person and on the phone. She kept talking over me and was in a hurry etc. I understand it's a fast paced environment and things get busy but sometimes customer service makes or breaks the experience. Besides that, this place is highly recommended.

Um. I have tried this restaurant for the first time. I have tried their Karai Chicken with garlic nan...Karai chicken was just above from homemade chicken curry, it's not like that flavorsome. It comes with plain rice. I dnt know why they provide rice with Karai Chicken. How ever we took garlic nan. Garlic nan was good. They served raita and a sauce at first. Raita was tasteless. Ambient was good. May be they have different items with good flavor.

Was looking for some non fastfood options after 10pm in Austin and this place fit the bill. This is a Pakistani restaurant, so you have beef dish options here. Got garlic non, and not only were they big portions, they tasted great!! The chicken karahi and it was delicious, great with the Non. Tried the Goat Korma but I didnt enjoy as much bc it was my fault and didnt read that they put ginger in the dish, which im not used to. I did enjoy the soft tender goat meat along with the goat marrow, so good!! We got some tastey fresh food at a decent price, and it's open late. I definitely plan to come back and try their other dishes like Goat Haleem and their Biryani.

I like this place for good food but today the food was far below standards. Tasteless, qorma meat was hard and kebabs were full of salt.

Vibe & Atmosphere: The vibe was honestly off. I don’t mind hole-in-the-wall spots (they’re often hidden gems), but this one felt a little neglected. The Google photos and videos made it seem a lot nicer than it really is. When we walked in, the floors looked like they’d been broken for a while, the booth couches were all ripped up, and not all the lights were even working. It felt a bit run down, which kind of set the tone before the food even came out. Food: We tried a few things — • Garlic naan was the standout: fresh, soft, flavorful. • Lamb chops were just okay. They were a bit dry for my taste; I usually like them to be fall-off-the-bone tender, and these weren’t quite there. • Chicken seekh kabab was actually really good — juicy, flavorful, with a nice spice to it. • White chicken karahi had a solid gravy, flavorful and comforting. Some hits with the food, but the vibe and condition of the place took away from it. I’d give it a 3 out of 5 overall.

The food was good, not great. No real complaints but the service was subpar. The waitress had an attitude the entire time I tried to order or ask questions and seemed annoyed that it was my first time (and now probably last time here). She also never came back to check on us. We got the kebabs (mine were dry) and roti? And naan. And had no idea how to eat them. We had no sauces to go with anything… which I thought was weird. But maybe that’s normal? Anyways. I might give it another try one day but I think I’d stick with take out. Also not hating on this but I thought it was interesting they have mandatory tips added to bills of 4 people or more.

Coming from Houston with a lot of IndoPak places, our family was excited to come try this place while visiting Austin. The initial woman who took our order was very unenthusiastic and looked like she didn’t want to be there. We ordered the Dahi Puri, Mutton Briyani and the special platter with naan. It took 40 minutes for our food to come out. The Dahi Puri was delicious but pricey. The Muttom Briyani had very minimal to no flavor and the special platter, thought have average flavor, came out cold. The naan was the best dish here. I would not recommend eating here if you are looking for a authentic IndoPak cuisine.

The food was ok, atmosphere wise. i wouldn't bring my family here again or friends, we had to wait 40 min for the food to come and the service is not great at all our server just put the plates and the salad and did not serve the plates and the cutlery was dirty. It was average. We ordered chicken mali botee kabab rolls, nihari and chicken mali botee. Nihari was the only acceptable dish followed by mali botee. The rolls were a complete disappointment. They didn't have garlic naan nor parathay and that was on the weekend. Overall the atmosphere wasn't comfortable, it was loud and noisy. I wouldn't recommend it.

Very rude receptionist. From the start of the call her tone was disrespectful and impatient, and she kept telling me to hang up the phone instead of helping with my question. I had called the previous day to make a reservation and that receptionist told me to call back the next day because she might mess up the reservation and it’s better to book on the same day. That was already surprising, but I called back as suggested. When I asked to reserve for the Iftar buffet at the actual Iftar time (around 7:30 PM), she said she could only book 6:30 PM and refused to explain why. When I asked for clarification, she rudely said she “doesn’t know” and claimed no staff was available. If it’s Iftar buffet why would I come an hour early and she had the audacity to say if I don’t know within 10mins of reservation time, she would take away the table. I tell you, this receptionist wants to really take some revenge from the restaurant otherwise i don’t see any reason why someone would talk this way with the customers. She then abruptly hung up the phone while I was still speaking. Extremely unprofessional behavior. Front desk staff should show basic courtesy, especially during Ramadan when many people are calling about Iftar reservations.

Their taste is average however since it's the only we try to come at least once. Service is ridiculous. Honest Feedback from a Longtime Customer It’s truly disappointing to see what’s happening here. The food quality and preparation have consistently declined over time. It’s being presented as Pakistani cuisine, but the flavors and standards no longer reflect the authenticity and pride that true Pakistani cooking is known for. There have been repeated issues — undercooked dishes, cold food, and even biryani made with a mix of old and new rice. Despite several reviews from people who genuinely understand good Pakistani food, little has been corrected. Sadly, the focus seems to have shifted from quality and craftsmanship to simply running a business. I do appreciate that Kashif Bhai continues to step in personally to address problems, but it’s unfortunate that the rest of the team doesn’t seem to share that same commitment. When employees laugh at customers instead of taking feedback seriously, it reflects a lack of pride in their work — and it’s only a matter of time before others notice. Moments like that make guests feel disrespected and ensure they won’t return. If you can’t stand behind the quality of your food, then no amount of marketing or ambiance can make up for it. Adding unexpected fees without informing guests, and still requesting tips on top, only adds to the disappointment. It’s sad to see yet another Pakistani restaurant lose its authenticity and give a poor impression of the food we grew up cherishing back home. I won’t be coming back — but I sincerely hope this message is taken as an opportunity to rebuild the pride and quality that once made this place special.

THIS IS NOT A PAKISTANI RESTAURANT! We ordered pakoras and they were not good. They had onions on top which Pakistanis never put. Then we got our bun kabab and it was cold. So we told them if they can toast it so the buns are not cold. They came back with it and buns were soggy. We figured they microwaved it. We asked them and they went back and i saw them shaking their hesd and laughing. They said they were sorry about microwaving it. We said take it back we don't want it. Then we had grill #3 on the menu…also not good in taste. But at this point we were not going to complain about it. And its toppings were nowhere what pakistanis put. Best thing we had here was garlic naan but question is what will you eat with it? Since there is nothing else thats good. Also all seats on booths were ripped up. Just a bad experience. We really enjoyed food in Houston but cannot say same in Austin. Avoid the place.

We ordered chicken biryani to go from Zaviya Grill, expecting a flavorful and well-cooked meal. However, we were disappointed to find that the rice was hard and undercooked, making it difficult to enjoy. The texture was not what you’d expect from a good biryani, and it seemed like the rice wasn’t properly prepared. For the price and reputation, we expected better quality. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet our expectations, and we wouldn't recommend it based on this visit.
