I’ve visited this place a few times for breakfast. It’s a nice place with friendly staff, great food, and excellent service. I particularly love their crêpes with cherry topping! The omelettes are always well-cooked, fresh, and delicious. The drip coffee is fine, but it’s a bit bitter on my taste. However, be warned that the place gets really packed after 10 am on weekends and holidays, and the waiting time can be up to 90 minutes.

Let's start off by saying that we signed up for the waiting list 90 minutes before we arrived at the restaurant from our home. You can join the wait list through Yelp, so just look it up if you want to try this method. We arrived about 10 minutes before our sit down time and waited at the host stand. The original pancake House is open limited hours and closes in the afternoon in the afternoon. In the mornings, especially our weekends. Multiple feeding arrangements can take place here in a combination of large groups. What's great about the original pancake House, is that item you order savory comes with pancakes. On top of that, you can sub the pancakes for any other waffle crepe or specialty pancake if you'd like. For instance, the crepes that my wife got on the side were a $2 up charge and you basically get one crepe short of a full order. My son got the potato pancakes and my wife also got the corned beef hash. And my wife also got the corned beef hash I decided to go with the cowboy omelet with the pecan waffles (no syrup) Everything was delicious. The coffee is delicious and just the customizable menu makes this experience a great place to have or take yours or family. Stop on in when you can but make sure you come early cuz it fills up fast

Be sure to get on the waitlist through YELP! The wait is long if you don’t. Our server (Nicholas?) was super nice and friendly. The orange juice is delicious. Freshly squeezed with a hint of additional sugar. I got the lone star Benedict, just the perfect size. The biscuit was soft and the sausage tasted homemade. The meat lovers scramble was loaded with meat. Their hashbrowns are also very good! Ask for it to be well done though. The Apple pancake takes a while to cook, so order that the moment you sit down. We got it to go. The pancake is more of an eggy custard base and not like your typical American pancake batter. It’s not overly sweet. I would suggest sharing it with another person, it’s almost 2400 calories for the whole thing! I’d definitely come back the next time in I’m Austin.

The place can be loud so be aware. My server was amazing and attentive. Their best item is the dutch baby, just out of this world. The rest of the items I ordered is okay. The pecan waffle was nice. Sweet potatoes hash was crispy. Overall good meal.

Breakfast, "the most important meal of the day!" This morning, we had the pleasure of meeting my in-laws at one of our cherished breakfast spots, and it did not disappoint! We indulged in fluffy blueberry pancakes that were bursting with flavor, perfectly crispy bacon, savory turkey sausage, and eggs cooked to perfection. Each bite was a delightful start to the day. To top it all off, the coffee was exceptional as always—rich, aromatic, and the perfect companion to our meal. The warm atmosphere and friendly service made our experience even more enjoyable. We left with full bellies and very content, already looking forward to our next visit! If you’re searching for a breakfast spot that checks all the boxes, this is the place to go!

This is one of those places where 5 stars is not enough. The menu offers lots of wonderful sounding options. The Dutch Baby is extraordinary. It takes a bit longer but well worth the wait. Whatever you choose, order the side of bacon. The bacon is OMG good. Thick and cooked almost to the point of burnt. It is the most perfect bacon I can ever recall having. I'll definitely be back to try some of the other menu items. The only drawback to this place, as you'd expect with such great food, is that there can be a wait to get seated.

First time coming here and it's great! I wish I knew about this place sooner. Customer service was great and the food was delicious. My Swedish pancakes (half portion) and thick bacon was perfect! Pretty mugs for sale for $20 and they offer gift sets that include the coffee they serve. Will come back again; highly recommend!

Fruit crepes were phenomenal, everyone said 10/10. We weren’t crazy about the dutch dutch baby but that’s just personal preference on how we like our pancakes.. we already had crepes and pancakes so it was lack luster once it arrived. Tacos were good, just way too cheesy for my taste. My bf had 4 tacos that also came with cheese and those did not seem to have a blanket of cheese on them. Our friends were also happy with their biscuits and gravy. Overall, we enjoyed our first visit there and all agreed we would go back.

The service in here can be little bit better with wait time. Our first time around our server James was quick and on top of things. He was approachable and friendly. Our second time around our server was forgetful and kept taking multiple trips to bring us the items we requested. But the food was good when we did get to eat them. I recommend to ask them to make the hash browns extra crispy. They're so delicious. I would still come back here.

The Original Pancake House doesn’t try to be flashy and that’s exactly why it works. The food is flat-out good. Not “Instagram good,” but close-your-eyes-on-the-first-bite good. The kind of good that tells you immediately this wasn’t pulled from a freezer or rushed out of a factory line. You can taste the care. You can taste the patience. You can taste that someone actually knows what they’re doing back there. The atmosphere hits that sweet spot: warm, relaxed, and welcoming without trying too hard. It feels like a place where mornings slow down a little and conversations linger over coffee refills. Comfortable. Familiar. Honest. And let’s talk portion sizes because they don’t mess around. You leave full, satisfied, and maybe already planning your next visit. No dainty plates, no pretending. This is real breakfast for real people. Bottom line: great food, great atmosphere, generous portions, and unmistakably homemade vibes. The kind of place that reminds you why simple, well-done food will always win.

This is a pretty classic American breakfast place, where you choose your coffee mug and only see your server to take your order, bring food, and drop a check. No complaints. I was looking for Swedish pancakes, and this is one of the few places that has them. They passed the test, but weren’t anything to write home about.

Texas. Sized. Pancakes. The Original Pancake House has them and you’ll want them. The restaurant is decently sized and the menu is brimming with different pancake and breakfast options. We got the buttermilk pancakes w/ bacon and has browns, chocolate chip pancakes w/ corn beef hash, special apple pancakes and a cheese omelette. The buttermilk pancakes were okay, pretty standard pancake fare, bacon was good but hash browns were a big miss. The chocolate chip pancakes were pretty good with gooey mini chocolate drops lining it, the corn beef hash was okay as well. The apple pancake was a standout. A behemoth of a pancake that tastes almost exactly like an apple pie. It does take a big longer to cook so be prepared to wait if you order it. Lastly, the cheese omelette was standard, pretty much just cheese and egg so no room for flashiness. For all the food we got the prices here were a good value and it also feels good to support a local place. The service was friendly and pretty quick. For the money you spend we like this place and look forward to coming back and trying a few new things next time. Please note that we came on a Monday morning and there was no wait.

They offer up an average breakfast experience that doesn't stand out in any way, but there is nothing bad either. The eggs I ordered had vegetables that were blended in. They weren't sauteed before hand, so the peppers were still too firm for me. I did have what appeared to be an eyelash in my eggs, so there is one negative point. The pancakes were pretty good. I guess it's in the name, so it should be solid. I wouldn't recommend it, but it probably does cater well to the older crown that was in there.
