It's an excellent place to eat; everything we ordered was delicious. The carne asada tacos were our favorites. Without a doubt, it's one of the best places in the area. A must-try!

Local place to eat, local culture that somehow we love. The food was amazing with affordable prices. They didn’t have vegetarian menu but yhey let us to customize our taco! And the consommé was delicious!

We ate there twice for dinner. Excellent value for money. The food was incredibly delicious. The fruit juices were fantastic too. 1.2 liters of passion fruit juice for 80 pesos. Tacos with grilled onions on the plate. A giant empanada for 50 pesos. The staff was also very friendly and they tried their best to understand everything since we don't speak Spanish. We even got more of the delicious soup and bread for free. 100% recommended. Authentic Mexican cuisine.

Omg! The locals restaurant is a must!!! They greet you right away and explain their menu.. provided options so that we could taste the majority of their regional food options and super attentive and appreciative of providing you a service. Super economic and tastes amazing, different salsas - empanadas, sopes, taco de asada, guacamole, and Maracuya beverage. Please visit them!

Very nice local restaurant. All the meat is cooked in front and the tortillas are warmed up on the grill! It feels lay back and authentic local restaurant. You got a lot of choice on top of that!
Best options for healthy, vegan and cheap food in Bacalar. Tell them that you're "vegano" and they will offer you everything you can have for a very decent price (I paid 60 MXN for a huge plate of salad with beans, tortillas and tostadas.

This place has great food. We had a chance to meet the owner, such a nice person. We ordered the Sopes tacos and a Panucho with a nice cold Fanta.
The guy who runs the place is really nice and we felt really welcome - he explained everything nicely The food is what let's this place down..... Every single element from the drink to the food lacked taste and seasoning!!! The mango juice was water down water with some mango in it The caldo - hey people use some seasoning!!! It's not that difficult! The soup lacked so much taste!!! The empanada was just cheese and meat, no spices, no seasoning, nothing!!!! I had one more dish that I forgot the name of which had the exact same story line - no taste! All in all very good service and terrible food! They can improve!
