Binge Coffee House

Binge Coffee House is an extremely good matcha, banh mi, and snack place at a wonderful location in Downtown Berkeley. I usually get the mango matcha, and it is the best matcha I have had in the East Bay. Service is fast, the interior is very nice, and the food is incredible.

this place is super tasty and convenient, I would recommend the vietnamese restaurant egg coffee is you are into coffee, it was really good. And if you are a matcha fan, the mango matcha was absolutely delicious, the best matcha i’ve ever had. Lastly, the Ban Mi with grilled pork was superb :) would definitely recommend this spot if you are looking for a good meal

Genuinely my favorite coffee/matcha spot in Berkeley. They have the tastiest and creative drinks. Their strawberry matcha and egg coffee is always a hit, along with any other matcha drink. Ube and sesame foam is sooo good too! Somehow their ban mi's are also delicious. Customer service is always on point– they even offered to adjust our drinks as we were picking up, before we even tried them, and take the trash out of our hands. I really want to know what type of matcha they use. Super tasty, friendly, nice vibes.

The EGG CUSTARD COFFEE (less sweet) is absolute PERFECTION! What an incredible treat! On our first visit, we ordered at the counter and found plenty of seating for a shop of its size. The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. We loved it so much we had to come back after failing to find egg custard coffee anywhere else outside of Berkeley. The second time, we ordered online—our drinks were ready in no time, and we even got a text when the order was complete.

Fun and delicious flavors that pair well with matcha. I got the melon matcha and the milk tastes exactly like the melona popsicles. I wish i could consume more caffeine and had a bigger wallet, id try all the flavors!

Binge Coffee is serving up some creative drinks — I tried the ube matcha and strawberry matcha, and both were on point. The ube matcha was rich, earthy, and perfectly balanced — not too sweet ( ordered half sweet) and the ube added a creamy, nutty layer that paired well with the matcha’s bitterness. The strawberry matcha was lighter, refreshing, and a little fruity without tasting artificial. Visually stunning too — they nail the aesthetic game here. Staff was quick, friendly, and the vibe is modern but relaxed. You can tell they care about quality and flavor. The store is on the small side so it gets crowded. Their AC could use some work too. Bottom line: If you’re into matcha and want something beyond the usual, Binge is a must. Fun flavors, done right.

the egg coffee was sooo delicious. the grilled pork banh mi was pretty great too. i will come back to try the matcha as i have heard very good things about it. overall i recommend this place but keep in mind it gets quite busy!

Matcha tastes very good. The double matcha is good, the cream is rich and not too sweet. The owner and his girlfriend are super nice. Very good customer service and friendly.

I am a matcha lover and this is definitely the best place around campus to get one. I’m enjoying trying all of the flavors. So far the Banana is my favorite. Absolutely delicious! I would come here so much more if they opened earlier though!

The best matcha around Berkeley! I've been here a few times and my favorite is the double matcha with the matcha latte part unsweetened, highly recommend if you have the Asian sweetness tolerance level. During the school year it is extremely difficult to find a seat here so def more of a takeout spot!

I go here for a matcha latte or coffee every few days, and let me tell you--I have NEVER had a bad drink here. I've been stopping by since their opening, and the quality and creativity of their drinks have always impressed me. My personal favorites are the white peach matcha, egg coffee, black sesame matcha, and banana coffee. I have a particular attachment to their egg coffee, which tastes very similar to the egg coffees in Vietnam that I miss so much! I have been getting weekly coffee with my team from work—everyone loves Binge Coffee!!

A huge YESSS PLEASEEEE The best place to get your caffeine fix in Berkeley. Workers are super nice and owner Minh is so helpful with recommendations. It’s about a block away from UC Berkeley so depending on time can get kind of crowded, but the wait is well worth it. From matcha, Vietnamese coffee, banh mi, and many many more, Binge coffee is definitely a place for everyone!

Every banh mi in the Bay Area I’ve tried has been better than the last, and Binge’s banh mi is so far the best, even outcompeting South Bay. All the ingredients were super fresh and well distributed within the baguette with a good meat to bread ratio. I ate a half in person, ordered a second one to go later, and wish I would’ve bought more for takeaway. The drinks were also good, although I wish more of the specialty drinks had the option to switch to an alternative milk, but the banh mi’s were definitely the highlight of my visit.

The vegan banh mi was so flavorful and satisfying. The tofu is really well seasoned with some kind of five spice-adjacent flavoring, the daikon and carrot pickles are crunchy and the perfect mix of sweet and sour, and they add some kind of crunchy condiment to the sandwich that is both incredibly flavorful and also adds an amazing texture to each bite. The bread is also really nice, both in texture and flavor. One of the tastiest vegan banh mi I've had in a long time.

There is very limited seating inside, but Berkeley's campus/grass are just a block away (if it's a sunny day) for you to sit at. I really liked the matcha, didn't feel any clumps and it wasn't overly sweet. We also ordered a banh mi-- but sadly I didn't really love it! I don't think it was worth the price. The meat could've had a deeper flavor. The pickled veggie was fine as well as the spread inside the baguette. Overall maybe a 3.5/5. I'm not local to the area but if I was back and looking for a quick coffee/matcha fix, I'd definitely stop in again.

Not the best matcha I ever had, but better than most other matcha places in the area. The strawberry matcha was very good, but could have used some more strawberry puree in it. I wanted the double matcha latte, but it wasn't in stock. *sad* Atmosphere seemed good for studying, but didn't stay. Service was very quick and ordered on snack pass. Will be back when I'm in the area.
